261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason soon or not ? on: December 11, 2019, 12:55:43 PM
Hi there,

I personally think Altseason is starting soon. We have been in a bear marker for such a long time and Alt season is lurking.

BTC dominance is trapped in a descending triangle for a long time now. Testing the support and resistance trendlines multiple times.
usually, altseason happen when the price of bitcoin increase
there is a possible price increase in bitcoin because of the next halving
but buying altcoin today is kind of risky because it's hard to predict which coin will increase or survived in the next bull run
every bitcoin halving there is always a price correction to match the supply and demand
the current price of bitcoin might be matched for the current supply but in the next halving block rewards will decrease in half

262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Crypto to Buy in 2020 ? 6 Best Cheap & Promising Crypto to Invest on: December 11, 2019, 12:49:13 PM
The year 2020 is shaping up to be a pivotal year in Bitcoin’s history, culminating in its history’s third halving, scheduled for May. This occurrence will be paired with economic and political developments to create perfect conditions throughout the year for a very significant rise in Bitcoin’s value.

You probably know that, but I’ll still remind you: Bitcoin is indexed to the cryptocurrency market. Therefore, if Bitcoin’s price increases sharply in 2020, the whole cryptocurrency market will rise. Not all cryptocurrencies, however, will see their prices rising in the same way.

The challenge is to predict that cryptocurrencies the most attractive price rises in 2020 will be expected. In what follows, by presenting you with the 6 cryptocurrencies to buy for 2020 and beyond, I try my luck.

1. Bitcoin (BTC)

I’m not going to be original to begin with, but quite efficient. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency I suggest purchasing for 2020. For Bitcoin, 2019 has been an excellent year with a score of +100 percent so far.

The dominance of Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency industry once again surpassed 65%.

Some say Bitcoin has been obsolete technologically, but it has never been so powerful. Block by block, Bitcoin is still moving forward and will continue to do so in 2020. The expected halving in May 2020 as well as unstable political and economic conditions should make it possible for Bitcoin to return to the peaks reached by the end of 2017.

If you want to make a profit in 2020 with cryptocurrencies, you need to buy Bitcoins. In a few months, the current price of $7,400 is likely to be seen as very cheap.

i agree in bitcoin there is a high chance for us to gain profit because of the next halving
in my opinion, the current price is reasonable for miners to gain some profit
in the next bitcoin halving, bitcoin rewards will decrease in half with an additional mining difficulty
the demand will not be enough for the users and the same with miners it will not be profitable
the result will be a price correction and the price will increase until it matches the demand
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you Want from a secure wallet? on: December 11, 2019, 12:15:53 PM
Hello guys from my last post
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208509.msg53310640#msg53310640

i real all of your advices and i really thank you for them

i want to do a simple startup based on donation ! with doing a good job and people donate me for that .

i want to create an open source bitcoin wallet with django framework that doesn't store any private key or phrase seed

also with onion + simple domain + generating segwit address

but for other abilities what should it have ?

i know there is a lot of bitcoin wallet sites and they are popular
is it waste of time ?
if it isn't what you want from a good wallet ?
tell me i will make that for you with open source on github

in order to build your own web wallet, you will need to invest some of your own money
as of now, there are already a lot of popular web wallet
that's why I don't think people will donate to build a platform that is already available
even some of them will donate it will not be enough for you to continue for a long time
it will take a long time before you will gain trust if you will build a new web wallet
because everyone says that web wallet is not really a secure wallet sometimes it also depends on the platforms and users
but because some of them already exist in the past few years some web wallet starts to gain trust and users feel secure from it.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‌Uganda Police Arrest Leader of $2.7 million Crypto Scam. on: December 11, 2019, 11:40:53 AM
Uganda Police Arrest Leader of $2.7 million Crypto Scam Ugandan police have revealed the arrest of one of the primary directors of a new cryptocurrency firm in the country that scammed investors off their capital. According to reports, the police arrested one Mr. Samson Lwanga, who happened to be the...

Reach us on: https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/uganda-police-arrest-leader-of-2-7-million-crypto-scam

What's your opinion?
it good to know that some country or authority is starting to arrest those scammers in crypto
scam in crypto give bad reputation in bitcoin for the few years and it's still happening right now
and i think if every country will try to chase those scammers they will start to become afraid to do bad things using crypto
if there is less fraud or scam crypto can gain more adoption and trust from some of the investors.

265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 10, 2019, 05:11:58 PM
Recently Brett Sherman was nominated to chair of Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets. He will surely have the power to influence bills that can get introduced into Congress. He has been incredibly anti-bitcoin and will surely try to pass bills that will stifle the growth of the industry. Also recently BIS head has been advocating Central Banks begin to use digital currencies for themselves. This will surely play out as a way to out-compete crypto.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-05/bis-wants-central-banks-at-center-of-digital-cash-revolution

Discussion: How can they community rally together for what is to come? Are we ready for when governments restrict / sanction any capital flow into exchanges? How prepared are we for these things?
many people or country try to fight bitcoin in the past and all of them failed
i think it will be the same for them if they will go against bitcoin

266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: December 10, 2019, 04:11:25 PM
I dont think there is any chance for any altcoin when bitcoin is fluctuating like this. The panic drops are too many these days and whenever we see a hit to bitcoin, we see more sumps of alts. Its better to stay away from alts right now.
i agree its better to stay away in altcoin for the meantime
almost all the crypto user is just waiting now for the next halving because the chance of bitcoin price increase is high
and when it comes a lot of user will sell some of their altcoin there a chance that price of altcoin will be cheaper
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deutsche Bank said Crypto will Replace Fiat Currencies by 2030! Really Possible? on: December 10, 2019, 04:02:26 PM
By 2030, the demand for alternative currencies will rise, with digital currencies eventually replacing cash, according to recent research from Deutsche Bank.  Shocked

What do you think as a Crypto Expert? What are the challenges? What things should be adopted to replace fiat?  Huh Huh

Research: https://www.dbresearch.com/PROD/RPS_EN-PROD/PROD0000000000503196/Imagine_2030.PDF
News Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/deutsche-bank-research-crypto-to-replace-fiat-currencies-by-2030
its not really impossible to happen because in 10 years there a lot of things that could happen
as of now bitcoin adoption still grow day by day and I also think that the demand of crypto will grow more in the future
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 10, 2019, 03:51:52 PM
I spent most of my time doing research on many altcoins, their old price to the present value and i find out that even if you sell your tokens today leaving few tokens worth few dollars for many years can worth something. For example if you left 9$ worth of bitcoin in your wallet since 2012 you would never have imagine what it will become today, in jan 2017 you can buy 5000 pieces of Ripple at 0.007$ which costs 35$ and in jan 2018 a XRP cost 3$ which turns 15000$, there are many examples like this on CMC, remember Tron too? My point is its bad selling off all your coins, if you needed money that bad always leave coins and tokens worth of few dollars left in your wallet just in case
i agree some of the coins can become big someday it just takes a lot of time and we just need some patience
i also believe in it that's why if the coin is only worth a few dollars i only just leave it in my wallet
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Crypto Trading Tools Are You Using? on: December 10, 2019, 03:45:42 PM
I think as a beginner/newbie in trading cryptocurrencies, we ought to have some platforms, guide or something that can help us in our trading activities. Some of my friends and colleagues said that I should look into trading tools or the likes of it. Like this MintFlint that they are recommending to see. But I dont think I can manage to know how to use those platforms and it looks really dumb to begin with. What do you guys think? Should I? And if I should, what do you guys recommend?...
using trading tools and bots is not a good idea when you are new in trading
in trading, you must have a lot of knowledge in the coin that you are trading
there a  high chance that you will lose some money if you follow other people instruction
you must have your own strategy and patience because it's quite stressful
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Consider All Altcoins Bad on: December 10, 2019, 02:52:28 PM
The question is why do some people generalize all Altcoins as bad? considering there are over 3000 of them out there. One would not have the time to go through each project one by one. to analyze the project. team etc everything behind each crypto project.
There has to be some project out there under good intentions. Not all projects could be a scam. I admit I only have a top 4 i consider when it comes to best coins. But yet many should be decent at least honest projects out there. Afterall we do need more projects. more quality projects out there in order for crypto to succeed.

your thoughts
some user experience consecutive failure in different altcoin in past few years
a lot of projects turn to scam thats why you can't blame them if it is hard for them to trust new project again
i know there are really some good project like those in the top of market cap
but for new altcoin, it still hard to trust them because until now there still a lot of scam happening in the new projects
in my opinion, its better to stay away from the new projects for the meantime

271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i Bitcoin or not on: December 09, 2019, 10:54:23 AM
I realy want to buy Bitcoin i have 5000$ give good idea plz
if you really want to invest in bitcoin it is better to start in basic and learn more about it
learning the basic can become your foundation in crypto and avoid being shaken by other people speculation or opinion
there are incoming halving next year and i think this is really a right time to buy bitcoin but don't invest all in one time and monitor the market
look or search for a reputable exchange where your payment method is available then store it in a secure wallet
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Experience of A Bitcoin User on: December 09, 2019, 10:36:42 AM
This is not really a new scam but not many users are aware of it. On Reddit, it was discussed extensively, please be enlightened  and secure your BTC. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/hackers-are-using-clipper-malware-to-steal-bitcoin-from-users/
i agree many people are not really aware of it and its already exist for a long time
that's why you always need to check the address you paste when doing a payment
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Cryptocurrency' a misnomer for Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2019, 09:55:47 AM
I've been annoyed by the application of the term 'cryptocurrency' to Bitcoin.

There is a distinct difference between Currency and Money and these terms are not interchangeable:

Currencies do not have intrinsic value (i.e. fiat paper money, promissory notes) and by extension, are poor stores of value.  There have been thousands of currencies in existance, all have become worthless because there is no intrinsic value to support the price, instead currencies rely on its users to give it value.  As a consequence many currencies may have fallen with their empires succumbing to regulatory bans, some have died simply because its users did not deem it worthwhile to use and I have no doubt a significant portion are hyperinfalted by their central authorities out of existance.

Money on the other hand has intrinsic value (i.e. gold and silver coins), a gold coin from ancient Eygpt still retains the same purchasing power today.

Bitcoin falls into the category of money, its intrinsic value is supported by its scarcity, verifiability, fungibility, portability, durability and divisbility.  While it might not be 'tangible' and useful for physical use cases like jewerly, it also has benefits Gold does not offer, for example, instant settlement of any amount of 'money' over long distances. Further, no central authority can print bitcoins into existance.  Bitcoin has also become a legitimate store-of-value which can be attributed to its supply cap and emission schedule, its been profitable for 94% of its existance and has not lost its purchasing power which would be consistent with the traditional definition of 'money'.

All-in-all I think it is incorrect to call Bitcoin 'cryptocurrency', it should be 'cyptomoney'.

Thoughts?
in my opinion, it doesn't matter if you call it cryptomoney or cryptocurrency because it has an identical meaning
money and currency both serve as a payment method and if you read the meaning of money and currency
you will see that money is currency and currency is money

274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2019, 09:22:37 AM
well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year. it's funny that just year ago they despise cryptocurrency(article about it) and now they are launching their own cryptocurrency
and even teaching high school students about cryptocurrency(article about it) and preparing them for it. how things have changed in just a year Cheesy Cheesy
in the past, many countries are against crypto some of them ban it and some make a regulation to stop Crypto
it just good that they try to stop it for them to learn that it is impossible to stop crypto
maybe they also realized that crypto is the new technology
if they can use it right crypto can also help their economy to rise.

275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my story: why bitcoin has failed (and keeps failing to this day) on: December 09, 2019, 09:02:09 AM
I'm about to go to bed so I can't look at responses right away but dealing with this has caused my family to become separated, my hair to fall out and has caused me and I'm sure other traders enormous amounts of stress dealing with someone or something treating bitcoin like it's a game of attention.

I thought I'd share my story and my experience of what I've had to go through dealing with bitcoin since 2013.

I bought bitcoin at near 1000 dollars or something around 2013 and then went to college and it crashed to 300 dollars (wow totally normal for the old market).

I then sold my bitcoin and didn't get any profit and then it proceeded to constantly go up after that.  I moved on like a man though because I realized I had things to learn.  Later on though I got back into it early in 2017 nearly full time.  I began to -try- to learn how to deal with the market instead of acting like it was mortal kombat.  Treating the market like a game to fight people is literally a felony if the market isn't working and everyone knows it's wrong to go a certain direction.

Ever since the spike in 2017 to $20,000 things got out of hand though.  Since July 2017 (and I've contacted the SEC,CTFC, and attorneys over this) bitcoin has been getting pushed forcefully to go higher than it needs to faster than it needs to when the market isn't there.

The problem lies in that people don't believe that there is actually a person/trader/ or exchange that was actually capable of doing something like this for this long since it costs millions of dollars per day.
The market got different in 2017 after it got to 3000 and ever since then felonies have been committed nearly every single day to try and force the price upwards whether or not the market is ready.  Now we/I/you and the community are seeing the aftermath of the psychopath who thinks it's their job to "punish" people for selling bitcoin and it hasn't stopped since then.

I made over 10,000 dollars doing it right when everyone was ok with the natural market when it went up AND down (without getting harassed) but now it just doesn't work.  This isn't bragging, this is just a fact.  I learned how to do it right and I did well.  (yeah I sold bitcoin sometimes instead of buying it)

EVER SINCE THEN though, it seems like THE ENTIRE internet is trying to FAKE their way into doing what I did.
This has really gotten out of hand and I expect people to do something about this.  I shouldn't have to be calling attorneys at my age (but I am).
base on your story you are doing trading in the wrong way
if you want to earn in trading you need a lot of patience
before im also doing trading but it gives me a lot of stress that why I stop it
base on my experience you need to follow bitcoin daily and read news about it daily
there are really whales who sell and buy to manipulate the price to drop and rise
some of bitcoin news website is being used by them and for you to get some profit you just need to go with the flow
if there is some positive news there is a possibility of a price increase and you just need to wait for some price spike to get some profit

276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of Scammers if bitcoin later becomes a traceable Currency. on: December 08, 2019, 03:11:48 AM
Bitcoin as a currency that is decentralized, they is no Headquarters for Bitcoin and it has no Central office where they distribute information concerning Bitcoin, Like illicit transactions that money was lost but recovered after some investigations through the distributed information.

like someone said on my previous thread that more people will be comfortable using bitcoin if these features comes into place.

Share your thoughts.
bitcoin is not really untraceable you can use explorer to see where the bitcoin will go
you can check in wallet explorer if there is other address connected in the user bitcoin address
its not really impossible but it is hard and takes a lot of time to trace user
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you stake? Exchange or wallet? on: December 04, 2019, 02:16:43 PM
Considering the safety of your coins and the simplicity of staking process, do you stake in centralized exchanges or you consider using crypto wallets that supports staking like imtoken, trust and atomic wallet.

Where do you stake?
well if you have your own laptop or desktop it is better to stake on your own wallet
its not a good idea to leave and trust some new platform
there a possibility that you will lose all your coin instead of earning small amount of stake
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto world is presently not sane on: December 04, 2019, 01:59:11 PM
In red market its always a good idea to dump once you get the chance because many new projects are just failing even IEO projects dump after few weeks to month of trading but its still better to keep few coins because of tomorrow, no one knows what will happen for sure, but presently take out your profits as soon as you can, if this continues no new project will be spared and its thing that developers needs to start implementing something that will keep a coin or token at a good price, we are in dump season
i agree we are really in dump season because almost everyone is just waiting for the next bitcoin halving and doing their best to get more bitcoin
some of them will sell for lose and we can really expect big drop for altcoin.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is GivingTuesday. List of charities that accept Bitcoin on: December 04, 2019, 01:54:26 PM
Today the world is celebrating the GivingTuesday, the international day of charitable giving.

This is the right occasion to support some charities that accept Bitcoin and foster the adoption: CryptoGivingTuesday

All of them accept at least BTC, some also other cryptocurrencies.

Long time ago, on Bitcointalk there was a list of crypto charities, but it's good to see that today the ecosystem is embracing nonprofits from all over the world and big names are onboard now.
Which is your favourite one?
its good to know that some charity is already accepting crypto
its just bad in my side that i still don't have enough bitcoin to donate today
i just hope someday every one of us can earn big by supporting bitcoin and other cryptos so we can all make some donation.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe satoshi is dead on: December 04, 2019, 01:22:18 PM
maybe SATOSHI is dead and BTC is at mercy of GITHUB developers, owned by blockstream

what you guys think ?
well there's really a possibility that satoshi is dead
but if he is still alive maybe he really wants to hide his identity for security purposes
