CCN: Breaking: SEC Charges EtherDelta Founder with Operating Unregistered Exchange.
https://www.ccn.com/breaking-sec-charges-etherdelta-founder-with-operating-unregistered-exchange/
wow, it looks like the SEC does not participate in the crypto market but they still enforce the law outside the market. That is a dangerous thing. We need to be careful with the trading floors and need to analyze and learn more thoroughly about the trading platform that is sure to be safe for us.

It would be better for retail investors to track and find scam exchanges, not these well working. Honestly, I think SEC looks for its place in a quite new market of crypto, and tries to test its enforcing power here.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From Minimum To A Million on: November 17, 2018, 09:09:58 PM
I wish you good luck with these "daily percent" companies. It is a dirty business, and you will have a tough way up. I would only advise you to get early in (the sooner after project start the higher probability for positive return) and don't be greedy (majority of there projects get away with all money after a few months).
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tension about Ethereum on: November 17, 2018, 08:55:15 PM
Ethereum now down position number three coin of coinmarketcap. XRP now top two number currency. So what is your thinking about Ethereum trading? Now I am hopeless. Maximum time I trade by Etheum. So Now I am disappointed for downfall of ethereum

As a trader you certainly know there are both tops and bottoms, bears and bulls. Even this sudden decrease in Ethereum price creates an opportunity for a winning trade (provided a proper money management). Take a lesson, and keep trading  Wink
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Is empty wealth being created through stable coins? on: November 17, 2018, 08:49:54 PM
Thanks for revealing this. Although I don't know the true purpose of above mentioned transaction, it looks shady at first sight. Does anyone here have a better understanding of the 'minting' in stable coins?
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price/hashrate/halving chart on: November 17, 2018, 08:43:42 PM
a better one, with mining tecnology date:

Omitting picture for better readability.

Very interesting! This chart could stand for fundamental 'rather up'/'rather down' prediction of Bitcoin price. Every time Bitcoin price crosses actual hashrate, exit from an existing long position shall be made.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market is suffering because of one person ! on: November 17, 2018, 12:55:45 PM
BCH fork has been a fundamental element for price action for the last week. Wright's words and posts are always exaggerated, and I don't think it makes any good to Bitcoin Cash. Anyways, BTC will remain number one (at least for the next year).
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether as a means of payment for luxury property? on: November 16, 2018, 08:33:32 PM
How far is the day when we will be able to buy a house or a good car with crypto not in isolated cases, but everywhere?
You can buy a luxury house with bitcoin.

$45 million Malibu mansion for sale to bitcoin buyers
World News - Gold Coast mansion up for sale for 500 Bitcoin
Inside the $44 million Italian mega-mansion that's about to make cryptocurrency history

It's happening already for some countries. And for ethereum, it's probable too.

Large Bitcoin transfers might be the solution for property purchases but I would prefer (both as a buyer, and a seller) making the whole transaction on a well specified smart contract (ETH preferrably).
About large bitcoin transfers, there are transactions who already did it.

Interesting real cases. I would like to know if they were payments for real goods (or property), or simply moving Bitcoins from one wallet to another.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MVP required for your investment on: November 13, 2018, 03:58:18 PM
I always look into an MVP of a project even if it is not fully working or involves bugs. The MVP shows that a team invested a significant amount of time in product design and thinking about features and functionality. I personally assume that a project with an MVP is less likely to be a scam.

Bank of America tries to be mobile and search development possibilities also in the cryptocurrency sphere to improve online banking...On these days, banks try to be mobile by following the trends and customer caprices. Bank of America is not an exception...
Read the full article here: https://www.xmlgold.eu/en/news/article/774/bank-of-america-mobile-banking-cryptocurrency-news/

I am surprised to see Bank of America diving into crypto sphere (one has to admit that they are doing small steps for now, e.g. private keys, prompting in case of an attack). Anyways, the more adoption the better even if it doesn't directly impact cryptocurrency prices.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future looks bright on: November 12, 2018, 07:23:53 PM
Hey guys according to technical analysis cryptomarket has a great potential to go up soon. Bitcoin can still fall to 2200$, however I think it won’t happen. And with launch of Bakkt, crypto is going to rock! Do you agree?

I share your optimism, markets tend to revisit all time highs sooner or later  Wink However, what is the deal with Bakkt? I haven't understood yet why it should impact prices so intensively. Could anyone enlighten me?
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin slow when you talk about moving money? on: November 12, 2018, 10:13:49 AM
Cory Johnson, Ripple Chief Market Strategist said that "Bitcoin is slow when you talk about moving money" in a recent discussion on the future of blockchain and cryptocurrency @ foxbusiness.com.

Following this comment, Ripple tweeted on its official twitter page that
“Money should move as fast as ideas move as fast as data moves and right now it doesn’t.”

While i strongly agree to Ripples tweet, i turn to ponder over exactly what Cory John has experience with Bitcoin. So i gave it a try, and the transaction experience is nothing better to write home about nor keep mute over

Anyways before i draw any conclusions. I just want to find out if
1. You agree or disagree with Ripples tweet.
2. You agree or disagree with Cory John assertion.

However before you comment on the Number two. You should have had an experience with transferring money with Bitcoin in the past couple of Weeks.

I agree with the point that transactions on the Bitcoin network are slow. Sometimes they are even very expensive regarding to fees. Bitcoin itself is far from being adopted globally as a means of payment (comparing to e.g. debit or credit cards), but it certainly enriches the global payment environment.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xmas Bull Run!! on: November 12, 2018, 10:00:45 AM
11 months of decline.. who's ready for some positive headway  Cool

Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!!
Not so long ago, I also expected a bull market before the New Year. But today it seems that they want to kill all the holders. Although they are already a bit. No fuel, no new fresh money. I highly doubt a good script soon.

I also hope in some fresh money flowing into cryptocurrency markets. Volume and volatility has calmed for a few weeks and it is usually a sign of a run in the future (bull or bear, it is just guessing). I think we will see some cashing out to fiat before Christmas by the way  Sad
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sony develops blockchain solution on: November 12, 2018, 09:57:34 AM
Japanese technology multinational Sony revealed it is working on a blockchain-powered extension of its digital rights management system Monday. The project is a joint endeavor with both Sony Music Entertainment Japan and Sony Global Education.

The press release notes that this “new system” is built off of Sony and Sony Global education’s previously developed system for “authenticating, sharing, and rights management of educational data, and additionally features functionality for processing rights-related information.”

“Sony Group is also considering innovative ways to make use of blockchain technology for information management and data distribution in a host of different fields,” it added.

In August, the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office (USPTO) released two Sony patents that had been filed for boosting blockchain-based ecosystems.

Very well done. It is great to see that companies employ blockchain technology in their internal systems. Authentication and rights management is one of the "most value-added" areas of blockchain technology. I hope they will come up with something client-facing on a blockchain.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If ETH will - only FUEL. - speculation on: November 12, 2018, 09:47:37 AM
hello friends,

here is so lot of people, who thinking thet : ETH will only fuel for other projects.  (dont think so)

but if its will possible, and ETH will only fuel,  - what will your predict about this situation- what will be price?

becouse now is so many upcoming projects, and 80/90% will on ETH blockchain.

i think this is interesting question,  Thenk you all.

It is generally known fact that running an ICO on ETH (ERC20) blockchain increases price of the ETH itself - an investor has to buy ETH (or other cryptocurrency) first to invest into the ICO, thus increasing demand for ETH. On the other hand, lots of older projects hold reserves in ETH to cover their operational costs, which makes a bearish pressure on ETH price.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hype projects are hitting exchanges! on: November 12, 2018, 09:40:42 AM
Hey guys, nowadays a lot of projects start to list on exchanges. For example: Fantom, Nex, Nos. Do you think if it is a signal that soon crypto market is going to grow rapidly?

I don't think it has any correliation about new tokens listing and crypto market will grow again.

Even i am not sure this tokens will perform well on the exchanges.

Exactly. The true positive effect would come if these hype projects had real working product and a way to generate demand for its coins except for speculation. It is one of the most significant signals - successful coins generate demand by their products or service, not only by creating hype and attracting speculators.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any centralized coin that accepts it is centralized? on: November 12, 2018, 09:35:23 AM
no, all of them claimed to be decentralized instead of centralized. but admit it when peoples were showing the proof to them.
XRP, NEO, NEM, CARDANO and ETH(it can be considered as one, well i called it pseudo-centralized).

we all know about the centralized coins that are always pretending they are decentralized. for example XRP is the most centralized coin of all times but every time they advertise it they claim it is not. the same with a lot of others.

so i was wondering if there is a centralized altcoin that accepts it is centralized and is transparent about it?
i am interesting in knowing how successful a centralized but transparent altcoin can be compared to a centralized but lying altcoin.

Petro currency issued by Venezuelan government is quite clear about being run (and dominated) by Venezuelan government. This case is rather a lecture from villain monetary policy than a real use case for cryptocurrency.

is this still running ? because the volume looks so weak, i thought they were abandoning this project.

It is still running as far as I know, they try to limit access to petro to non-Venezuelan people (to avoid speculation). The whole petro thing is only about "printing new money" to a heavily distressed economy, they have tried lots of ways to increase money supply.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Minor Crypto Exchange Pulls Off Exit Scam, Steals All User Funds on: November 11, 2018, 04:22:14 PM
A small Canada-based crypto exchange called MapleChange and now the Pure Bit from South Korea has pulled off an exit scam, disappearing with user funds all in one month. The disappearance of MapleChange and Pure Bit with user funds has led experts in the sector to encourage crypto investors to prevent the utilization of minor exchanges with no reputation and cold wallets that accurately represent their holdings.

What is the motive behind all these minor exchanges, anyway?

But the question is, MapleChange or at least the people behind that exchanges can't hide because their real identify is all over the net. So as much as they wanted to exit scam, sooner or later they will be caught by the authorities. As for the motives, I can't say, the only thing I seen is that perhaps they don't have the funds to liquidate their customers so its better to hide and run from them.

It is sad to see these small exchanges ruining trust in cryptocurrency exchanges. They might have thought in certain point that they will never make money in such highly competitive market, and they didn't see any other way than fleeing to some distant islands in the middle of ocean (I am not trying to advocate their actions, just trying to understand their motivation).
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LYM] Lympo - Monetizing sports and health data via blockchain on: November 11, 2018, 04:12:53 PM
Coinzest exchange lists LYM and announces a holders’ contest with amazing prizes!
https://medium.com/lympo-io/coinzest-exchange-lists-lym-and-announces-a-holders-contest-with-amazing-prizes-918961c724e2

Coinzest, a fast-growing top 3 exchange in South Korea, today listed LYM with BTC, ETH and KRW trading pairs available. On this occasion, Coinzest and Lympo are announcing a special holders’ contest!

Asian markets usually have good effects on the coins and tokens after they are listed on. The possibility of trading Lympo tokens with KRW will likely bring many new people into Lympo market.

Korean market has outperformed every other "national" cryptocurrency market so far, LYM/KRW a big step forward. Although it hasn't impacted on price yet, there will most probably be positive effects from this trading pair (especially increased volume).
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KZCASH - KZC on: November 10, 2018, 04:48:03 PM
Dear Partners!

Due to the local Community great support, to normalization of cryptocurrency market regulation in Kazakhstan and to the coin implementation plans for real business processes in the region, the Project is returning to the initial name, the concept of a regional cryptocurrency and the brand KZCASH that has gained a great popularity.
The name is being changed from UCOM to KZCASH, the ticker from UCOM to KZC. The blockchain is remaining SAME, no need to reinstall the client (node).
The Project will do its best to fulfil the transition in a shortest period of time at all the related resources (exchanges, monitorings, news portals).

Thank You for Your great support.
Sincerely,
KZCASH Team.

https://kzcash.kz/our-news/rebrending

Interesting, in fact it has been the second rebranding since I left the KZC coin (KZC to UCOM and UCOM back to KZC). And as far as I understand, there is a different team and different roadmap now. I am glad I sold all the coins at its all time high  Wink Good luck to new developers!
