List out few factors while choosing your degree and setting up a career for yourself in the future. Your entire life will depend on the degree and where you work. Obviously crypto world is emerging one and has good potential but this needs to be studied pretty well in advance before you can enrol into a course.

Please consider,

1. Your location
2. Does the country has future in blockchain.
3. Your interest in the field of blockchain.
4. Where do you see yourself in next five years after your masters.
5. Scope of your degree in few more locations.

Always remember, what you will study today will decide your life, future, income, interest etc.
I'm not sure if you've read some other threads I've created, which are career/study related, I'm pretty much in a dilemma on what to do after I fully graduate from my BSC degree in Business Administration. There are a lot of Master's degrees out there, some of which look interesting, but I'm having a hard time predicting on how they could help me in career prospects later on.

For instance, I also looked into accounting and finances, which have promising career prospects, however, I'm not sure if I find it as something that I could see myself doing and being pleased by it.

Due to Covid-19, more and more universities are offering online degrees, so location isn't necessarily an issue anymore.
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I Lost Some coins to exchange (and it feels like scam to me) on: August 29, 2021, 08:59:27 AM
It is their requirement and discretion to have a minimum deposit and withdrawal. There is nothing we can do with that if they're requiring us with their minimum deposit. There's the recent update that they've made, I think that included that minimum deposit.
https://www.huobi.com/support/en-us/detail/24884454798546
But my next deposit should have been added to the previous deposit.. Even if there is a minimum deposit. Now it means i dashed them my coins.

Cumulative deposits to add up the lower amount of minimum deposit only works on USDT, at least that is what is stated on their page (https://www.huobi.com/support/en-us/detail/360000105782).

~snip the most sensible and logical thing would be to manually add the coins to his account. I mean, they already possess them, why would they keep hold of them like that?
Technically, it also won't be exhaustive and resource extensive to automatically added up the balance, just like what they did to USDT on the link above. Although exchanges did it in a cheeky way, the sole responsibility relies on the user since they agreed to TOS/user agreements.
Since it's on their TOS, not much can be done if they are not willing to. Despite their TOS, it's a completely shady practice to just keep OP's coins like that. Okay, I get it that there's a minimum deposit, so since your deposit is lower than that, they won't be automatically credited to your account, but their support should have helped, this is outrageous.

I do get that they have a minimum requirement and is written in their TOS and yada yada, however, the coins were still deposited to their address, it's probably not that of an uncommon mistake, the most sensible and logical thing would be to manually add the coins to his account. I mean, they already possess them, why would they keep hold of them like that?
2624  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Misinformation on: August 28, 2021, 09:18:41 PM
And the most annoying is that, typically your aunt/s or uncle/s are the one spreading this to your family group conversation. Like they are saying "Look at this, I am concerned about you guys so I will spread nonsense that may help you"

Their goal of sharing information is good. but the problem is when they don't filter the information they receive. Today's online media make any news for the sake of traffic. they make news that will make them go viral. even things that don't make sense are made as attractive as possible and can be trusted even though they are hoax . Now what must be educated is the person. because online media is already a lot of strange and excessive in making headline or news.

There are websites that promote hoaxes and conspiracy theories on purpose, just to attract visitors, in order to generate income. On top of that, such posts are being shared numerous times, and reproduced by conspiracy theorists, reaching an extremely wide audience. It's really disturbing and in those cases, charges should be put to the creators of that content.
2625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: August 28, 2021, 12:03:53 PM
I quit trading back in February, a little after Elon Musk purchased Bitcoin. I took a decent loss then, which I partially managed to recoup shortly after. However, I decided that trading isn't for me, it's way too risky and unpredictable for my liking. On top of that, it was making me anxious, seeing all these ups and downs, which I understand that is the interesting part of crypto, but it would make me irritating and distressed.
2626  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you decided what you want to be? on: August 28, 2021, 10:46:57 AM
"Have you decided what you want to be?"

A decent, content person; harder than I thought Grin
Haha, good one. However, the matter I'm describing is quite serious, and the same feeling/situation is affecting an immense amount of youngsters/students, who haven't been shown the way to find what they like. Honestly, if I could turn back in time, I would look deep in myself to find the answers. Now, I'm pretty much clueless on how to proceed.
2627  Economy / Economics / Re: Masters in Blockchain and Digital Currency on: August 28, 2021, 05:37:43 AM
I'm sure it will be in demand for the next 20 years. So I approve of your choice and wish you good luck!
But OP's degree is on the business side, wouldn't OP feel like it's a difficult thing to do because it's a totally different discipline and I think you should have some programming skills for this one to be able to make sense in all of this, if OP is determined, I guess that my negativity won't be a problem so I guess good luck to OP if he/she wants to take that course.
I get what you're saying, this specific Master's Degree is a little more technical, compared to Economics and Business. It probably requires some decent computer skills (Which I have) and at least some basic programming skills (I don't like programming).
The course outline is good, although you would have to ask yourself the question of whether you really like this or not.

Important. We need to involve ourselves with the thing that we enjoy doing and doing so will give us joy because we do and succeed in it with ease. So Op , this is left for you alone to know whether you like cryptocurrency and digital marketing/business. If you do then you should go all the way to grab the opportunity of a lucrative future venture. Is obvious that the crypto space is very young and whoever acquires a degree around it may be one of the earliest dominators and much talk about pioneers in the academic field even when you are gone to great beyond. If you happen to write books on it, you books will be highly sold across countries. I think it is a good field that you can venture into if you like it. Yes you already have a first degree that is still in the line of further showing the world about cryptocurrency and marketing/packaging it very well. Is a choice you need to made by yourself, I wish you good luck.
I do like Cryptocurrency and this whole digitalization, however, I'm not sure whether I could put that in perspective and use it as a career. Maybe I'll need to see for myself to get the right answer.
The course outline is good, although you would have to ask yourself the question of whether you really like this or not. Getting a Master’s degree isn’t tough, but you have to have $$$ to spare as it will cost you a lot. If you’re sure that you’re going to stay in cryptocurrencies and see yourself as a professional on the field in the future, go for it. Otherwise, there are tons of career paths you can take from your degree, and you just have to build your network, skills, and experiences from there.
This one in specific costs approximately 13.000 Euros, it's an extravagant amount, especially if you still haven't made up your mind on what exactly you want to do with your life.
2628  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: August 27, 2021, 07:35:34 PM
This forum is filled with information and knowledge, you might come across plenty of ways users are earning money online. I'd advise you to read my thread here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5340985). It has a ton of replies, and you'll definitely find plenty of information there.

Moreover, you should also check out /r/beermoneyglobal/ on Reddit, this Subreddit is literally filled with ways to earn a side income online.

What are your thoughts about such a degree? Would you go for it? What career prospects would something like this have?

https://www.unic.ac.cy/blockchain-and-digital-currency-msc-distance-learning/
The content of this course looks quite interesting. We all the know about the big demand for blockchain skills in the actual market, and this is why i would recommend this course to everybody especially that the course can be made online. Yes i will surely go for it .
I tried to deeply check that link about the university of Nicosia but failed to find info about the fees. Note that many other universities offer this kind of courses but it requires a lot of other requirements which may not be met by everybody.
Would you please op tell us about the fees and other steps to apply .
The procedure to apply can be found here https://www.unic.ac.cy/admission-requirements/application-procedure/, it has a few requirements, such as a proficiency English certificate and a Bachelor's degree from a renowned university.

However, I'm seeing that the admission fees are way too high. Have a look for yourself.
2630  Economy / Economics / Masters in Blockchain and Digital Currency on: August 26, 2021, 08:09:09 PM
I'm now graduating from a BSC in Business Administration, and as I've mentioned in another thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355827.0), I'm pretty clueless on how to continue from there, as I haven't decided what I like or can see myself doing in the future. I've stumbled upon a Master’s Degree, in Blockchain and Digital Currency.

The courses are the following:

Required Courses:

Introduction to Blockchain and Digital Currency
Principles of Money, Banking and Finance
Law and Regulation in Blockchain

What are your thoughts about such a degree? Would you go for it? What career prospects would something like this have?

2631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcointalk assisted in my financial stability on: August 26, 2021, 09:59:43 AM
This motivates me, maybe I found out about this site too late. But from this forum I learned a lot about crypto. Even though I know bitcoin trading since 2015. But I know this forum is only 2019 and I am not very interested in this in the early years. My friends always encourage me to join, and I only joined around May 2020. In the process until now I have had to fight hard. But thanks my struggle didn't fail I got appreciation from many friends and got the responsibility to write in the campaign that got me BTC. This is a fortune that adds to my finances as an honorary teacher who gets a fairly small salary.

Honestly, I have a goal to make quality posts, but it seems that Covid is taking up a lot of my time. I am an teacher in my country, until now my students are still learning from home, this makes the evenings I usually spend studying in forums, have to be changed by assessing and researching student assignments.  Cry
I might have found this site early, but I was inactive for quite a few years. Fortunately, I have the privilege to remember the early days of Bitcoin, back when it was worth $200, although, there are people here who were introduced to it before it was even worth $10. Don't regret what you didn't do in the past, because I've got plenty of things to regret too. Keep moving forward.

I started out with faucets, back then, they would pay more than 1000 Satoshi for each roll, which is an extravagant amount for our current standards.
Yeah, isn't it crazy how much bitcoin you could get from faucets just a couple of years ago?  And I think faucets are--or at least used to be--a lot of people's introduction to bitcoin.  That was true for me back when I first started getting interested in crypto, as I didn't know how to go about buying it at first (or even how it worked exactly).

Thanks for sharing that story, OP.  I thought it was going to be a bloated shitpost at first, but I actually enjoyed reading it.  This thread should probably be in Reputation or some other section, though.

Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate feedback from reputable members of this forum. I wasn't sure on where to post this, and decided to post on Economics because I was talking about financial stability, I see that it has been moved to the appropriate category already. This thread is a way to say thank you, in return, for what this forum has provided me.

Returning to the main topic now, faucets were really paying great amounts in BTC back then, I was also in MoonDoge and one more which was paying in Litecoin, can't even remember its name. They definitely used to be the first portal to cryptocurrency, I wish I had abused them to the maximum potential, let's also keep in mind how many they were back then, literally hundreds of different ones.

This is a coincidence, my brother who is in crypto longer than me was talking about
these faucets yesterday, press a button and you got multiples of Bitcoin, crazy
to think that Bitcoin was given out free at a certain stage to aid its adoption.

Good OP @Ultegra134 this is a common story as @jackg posted. I enjoyed your story.

What is commendable is that you remembered all your passwords, you returned
to the forum and are planning for the future.
Faucets played an important role in introducing people to crypto. Unfortunately, most have shut down, with only few remaining. Wasn't too much of a hassle to recover my account, even if I had forgotten the login credentials.
2632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 26, 2021, 07:38:08 AM
3 Consecutive losses were enough to make me rethink trading and reach for something else. Took a decent hit right when Musk invested into Bitcoin, one more somewhere in the middle and the last one was when the market plummeted, and I sold. What a terrible mistake.

The worst one is certainly the last one, I was getting anxious seeing the prices drop so fast, decided to sell and move to DeFi. One day after I sold, the market recovered to a great percent, if I hadn't made that mistake, I certainly would have saved a couple of hundred bucks.

Trading was generally an anxious process, now I'm investing in DeFi sporadically, I'm good for now and haven't suffered any losses (yet).
2633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your Best trading platform is? on: August 25, 2021, 09:01:05 PM
Coinbase is one if the best platform fir trading but we cannot find new coins there. Fee is very low
Binance is my second choice. One of the top exchange i using often.
Third playform which i like is Kucoin. New and high potential coin available here.

Coinbase is indeed one of the most reputable exchanges. However, I don't remember having low fees, doesn't it have a 0.50% trading fee? That's too high, if you compare it with Binance's 0.10%.

On top of that, it's not really the best choice for Altcoin traders, since it does not feature newer coins.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which platform is the best for staking? on: August 25, 2021, 06:05:38 PM
I mostly used Beefy.Finance when dealing with DeFi projects for staking. Never had any issues so far. I've noticed that some exchanges, such as Binance do offer staking too, but their options are limited and not really worth it, at least Binance is deemed as a safe, low risk opportunity.

I've used Dopple Finance, ApeSwap and Iron.Finance, all through the Beefy platform, now I'm staking WUSD and BUSD through Wault.Finance. Wish me luck!
2635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: August 25, 2021, 12:47:50 PM
On the one hand, if you're getting paid in BTC, your salary may end up generating money on top of your monthly income. On the other hand, a short term or even long term price crash may diminish your monthly wage. Let's keep in mind that BTC had reached $60.000 and then crashed below $30.000. It took months to recover.

If you're living from paycheck to paycheck, I would advise against it, if you have money aside however, it could be a chance to acquire more wealth. Personally, I'm not sure if I'd opt for such a thing, since it involves a high risk, perhaps having a few paychecks in a year, paid in BTC, would be ideal.

https://web.archive.org/web/20210823142034/https://www.fda.gov/media/150386/download

In other news, FDA approved cigarettes, quick lets smoke a packed, its save.
All vaccines have gone through excessive testing, through all the needed phases. They had an emergency approval to accelerate the distribution of vaccines. The Pfizer vaccine received FDA approval today, I don't get where you get your so-called sources.

https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-first-covid-19-vaccine

Straight from the FDA website. I doubt it that it makes any difference for you anyway.
A you blind or just stupid?

The FDA Did Not Fully Approve The Pfizer Vaccine.
The Authorization Approval Date Was Expiring. Today 8/23 The FDA Re-Issued The Approval Under Section 564(c) - Emergency Use Authorization.
You simply don't get it, don't you? Have you thought of doing something more productive instead of posting crap about vaccines and modern medicine? The FDA clearly states that the Pfizer vaccine is the first one with full approval from the FDA, for usage over 16 years-old and EUA approval for children aged from 12-15.

But you simply don't get it. Pure nonsense.

2637  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you decided what you want to be? on: August 24, 2021, 07:47:54 PM
I'm doing a course I love and always loved, and to be honest, you are right, 18-19 year olds are given a choice that will really affect their whole life and they aren't mature enough to choose what's right for them, I guess the education system needs a radical change. When I was 18, thankfully I had the right guidance to choose something I love more than something which can give me much money and am really satisfied with it today Smiley along with my main aim, I have got many other smaller aims to fulfill as well Smiley
What kind of course are you following, if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of choosing a few online courses from Edx.org, they have some interesting ones.

If I could choose everything in life again, I would go straight to university with 18. Instead of working some time it is better to go straight into university, get a good degree and earn more money afterwards. Also I would choose computer science as my major. The more I could learn about blockchain and crypto currencies the earlier I could start to go into crypto trading. There some trading mistakes that I did in the past which I would like to avoid and safe that money.
I'm not sure what I would do, provided that this was ever possible. I'm pretty certain that I wouldn't have chosen this sector or if I had, I'd spent more time thinking through it. Likewise, I wish I had sat my ass down and figured it out sooner. Now, I'm pretty clueless of what I'm going to do in the future.
2638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcointalk assisted in my financial stability on: August 24, 2021, 05:45:42 PM
Always give gratitude that's one life hack to receive more blessings (assistance) in life. I read your thread to the end as I wanted to hear your story. After I saw you entered into the industry at a young age, I immediately have to view your profile and you registered way back in 2014 nice, just trying to visualize how the forum was like back them. It would had been a privilege if I had such experience.

I also have benefited handsomely from the forum and involving myself in Bitcoin in general, I think there isn't another out there that's doing it right whether with bitcoin or on the forum that hasn't been rewarded. The forum offers numerous opportunity that it would be foolish not to profit form your engagement here.

The content here only are top notch and free meanwhile it would have cost you fee hundreds of dollars to access elsewhere. One can basically be a noob without any knowledge in the industry and within few months of engagement on the forum will be equiped with some basic knowledge to begin his/her Bitcoin journey. The forum is such a blessing and only those that realize that benefits from it.

Ps: seems like I'm the only one that lost to Defi <crying>.
Indeed, if you're passionate and focused, there's a lot to read and learn about here, gain information and knowledge which may lead you to a passive income in the long run. The amount of content which is 100% free here is astonishing.
All this DeFi and altcoin investing is basically gambling. You might win big in short term, but if you continue doing this, there's a huge chance to lose it all, because you're always one step away from a huge crash. DeFi's get hacked often or can have bugs that crash the price, altcoins are subject to pump and dump schemes, and so on.

IMO you should focus on developing skills that would support you for the rest of your life instead of trying to get rich quick with crypto.
It's extremely risky for sure, these DeFi projects are a pure gamble themselves. I was lucky the first time, I'm not sure if I'll always be lucky, thus, I'm trying to be careful on where I invest. There are quite a few instances of rug pulls or even hacked (Experienced myself too but wasn't affected luckily).

I'm really interested in learning new things and developing skills that can aid later on, however, I'm not sure on where to look, haven't thought to myself about what I'd like to do, what I'd like to study further and what skills to develop. I'm really on a mental block.
