BTW, the chicken bone thing only applies to COOKED chicken bones. Otherwise, how would any wild animal eat a chicken? Uncooked bones pose no threat. This is true, cooked bones shatter and splinter, raw bones are fine.

Did you refund that guy yet bulanula?
bulanula didn't do anything wrong, according to bulanula How about I refund when Bitcoinica and other scammers refund too ? Very funny indeed ! No tag either ... You're not a scammer. I don't know why you have a scammer tag. You're a douchebag and a thief though. Just wait till I gets hacked by the invisible man too then we will all be laughing our socks off. 25 BTC still there it seems ... What a coincidence, the scammer tag is still there too. So are they getting the tag or not ? Seems like a scam to me. Just look on Interscamgo and see the highly inflated bid prices there. Buying BTC at 6.2 GBP ( 9.7 USD almost ) when Gox rate is 8.8 ? Looks like they are trying to play on the greedy sellers and pull a "got hacked bro" excuse there too leaving with all the BTC they stole with these high bids as the GBP is non existent and will never make its way to seller's bank accounts I predict. I would not trust those guys with a penny now. Seems like a easy plan to steal as much BTC as possible then take off into the sunset ... There's a lot to be suspicious about, but there's no proof. I wouldn't trust them either after how many times they've been compromised, but I wouldn't call them scammers either.

I bet man, sent it soaring through the roof.
You think the the pw encryption had anything to do with it as such a large amount hit the server at once? Since it is technically new to the software? Or atleast to us? Or new to your hardware?
I doubt it. Hashing one password takes only one-twentieth of a second, and it only happens when someone logs in. Gosh, to bad the user count got wiped or didn't have a chance to be used today. Would have been exciting to see. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=statsSo 20 simultaneous login attempts per second with random credentials is all it takes to lock up a core? Hopefully you at least limit login attempts per ip so they have to use a botnet or a bunch of proxies. I think it's more likely a problem with MtGox, they've always had issues with heavy volume. God forbid anyone actually use their exchange.

Wheres my money!!! I sent you all my bitcoinica emails, all my mtgox codes (Only method used to fund account), I filed a claim and haven received ANY emails back. I talked to phantomcircuit in IRC and he told me that my account was small and i should wait an additional 3-4 days. That was two weeks ago. Not getting paid is one thing, not getting a SINGLE REPLY from my emails is another. WTF is taking so long! I want my M*therF*cking MONEY!
Last week was before another ~$350,000 was stolen. I suspect that everyone will now be waiting more than a few additional days for the processing of claims to resume. I am afraid they will completely stop the payouts because of this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93109.0They probably will. I can't imagine anyone with any sense would touch the money that's left with all that's going on, at least until the lawyers get through with discovery and work something out.

You wont get your BTC, but you may be able to get USD.... But I highly doubt it. These people are already broke... Patrick and others have already started this.... Once they go bankrupt, you aint getting shiiiiiit.... Remember tho, you wont get the value of btc today or in the future...You'll prolly get the same value of btc when it was hacked, which was around $4.30 if I remember correctly. Good luck! Its better than nothing. Didn't they say that they still have 70%? "Only" 30% stolen? Once you drag them to court and they have to file bankruptcy I am sure we will get nothing, or in any case way less than 70%. So how is that better? They probably aren't gonna be using client funds for legal defense against said clients, that would land them in an even bigger pile of shit and open the door for a criminal investigation.

I have more bitcoins than posts . Not that many posts though...

There's no real evidence that they did anything. Lots of speculation and circumstantial stuff, a lot of which is hearsay.
Besides, now that the lawyers are involved, there's likely to be court proceedings, so maybe best to wait and see if they say they are guilty before the forum declares them guilty. They'll have access to all the facts at least.

The 5 hour rule was a great idea. You have to constantly be in and out of threads for the clock to work. i am at 4 hours and 46 minutes It's 4 hours, you are no longer a newbie

Thanks for doing this! It should be efficient if you took over bitcoinica
If I were him I wouldn't touch bitcoinica with a 10 foot pole, with everything going on.

This is like a parody at this point. Monty Pythons Life in Bitcoinica.
It's almost hard to believe that anyone can make so many mistakes, makes me wonder if it's an inside job.

The bullshit just keeps piling up. ...and yet STILL no scammer tags?!? Feel free to start a thread in trading discussion and compile all the evidence and people involved into one post. Or just post and bitch about it I guess.

Nailed it... My guess is they got hacked again or Mt. Gox froze their account Clearly you took it.

It's not a bad idea at the core, I wouldn't have a problem enforcing it, I just don't think it's a big enough problem to solve. I did something similar for existing services/businesses that liked to post announcements, leave them for a few days then move.
I'm pretty happy with Bitcoin Discussion in general, and most others are I think. There's a few threads that are annoying but overall it works out well. If announcements are constantly being brought back to the first page it just means people are interested in it, or it generates lots of discussion, which isn't a bad thing. If the replies are taking the thread off track, that's a separate issue and isn't solved by just moving the thread, and a thread shouldn't be moved just because of the replies.
The Bitcoinica thread, I leave because it's fairly big news, and relevant to a large percentage of readers. For stuff like that I'll usually leave one main thread, and move the rest to the proper forum.

I may even disappear from the community all-together.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Actually if they hadn't found it it would be much bigger news, the fact that they (probably) have is not so much.
Not finding it where it was expected would mean some changes to the standard model, which while big news to physicists would interest the public not very much. Neither conclusion interests the public very much. Finding it wouldn't be a big deal because it's always assumed to be there, in order to make the laws of physics work. Not finding it would either mean they just didn't find it, or it doesn't exist, in which case the laws of physics would need reworking.

How does the 4 hours online actually work? As in 4 hours worth of posting on here?
Lurking, reading.
