2621  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Past The $40,000 Barrier Again? on: March 22, 2022, 01:57:19 PM
This might not be the last time that we are going to break this barrier. We've seen it in the last 3 months if I'm not mistaken, we will go $30k'ish and then goes up again to $40k and after a couple of days, there will be a decline. So there should not be any surprises if that happens again. And yeah, we might see the price just fluctuating around $35k-$45k, but I would say that it might be a good range to buy, sort of the middle ground for some, not very cheap but at the same time, not that pricey, in my opinion.
2622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 22, 2022, 12:23:44 PM
It was gastritis specifically and if this would happen on 2nd time around or would be having some medical issues on upcoming fight which is 1 month from now then it would really be having some irresponsibility from Casimero's side which should really be taking the blame and of course it would really be resulting for possible belt to be stripped but i highly doubt that it would happen again on this
upcoming schedule.People had been longing for this fight and hopefully there wont be some health issues to rise up.

After that incident, I'm sure Casimero's camp takes that as a lesson and now doing their best not to happen again.

They understand the consequences if ever Casimero will be the reason again for the fight to be delayed or canceled. In the first place, it just makes sense for WBO to strip the title to a champion that is unable to fight properly because of health issues.

Next month, we hope for the best that there will be no delay again because of Casimero. Don't want to see him being stripped in a title without fighting for it on the ring.

they only have one shot for that particular health reason. if it will happen again, i don't think they will receive the same treatment from the boxing community as well as from the boxing authorities. we need him to fight not give reasons not to see him fight. this has been in discussion for so long already. if this will be an upset, eyeing for inoue will be far-fetched.
no odds yet but casimero may be favoured here.
Definitely, it's a one done deal for Casimero and his camp, if he didn't show up again, he will be strip and lose his chances of a bigger payday against Inoue or any champion in the division. And I would say that he is lucky to be given the second chance, so he shouldn't have any excuses and be professional against Butler.

If he has problem making weight then he should go on and move on the next weight class after this one, otherwise, if he either fight Inoue or Donaire, he might not be 100% because of the difficulty of making the required weight.
2623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 22, 2022, 11:31:16 AM

>>> they still have to make some wins and carry this momentum to the playoffs.

They need that because they have been inconsistent lately. Bull will certainly make it to the playoffs but if the big 3 is not good enough, then I'm afraid that we might see an upset in the first round. DeRozan now as far as I see it is the leader of the team, so Lavine has to play as the rule of Robin if he wants to the team to win, let Demar Lead.
I can't remember when was the last time they made the playoff, but this year they are a assure of a place already. But they don't want to see a first round exit, DeRozan and Lavine should be consistent. They are still one of the best duo right now, they can score 30 points each in a game and that is huge already. But lately or after the all-star break they suffered and struggled so hopefully with this win, they can be back on business.
2624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador's President Bukele gets An 85% Approval Rating on: March 22, 2022, 10:45:18 AM
An opinion survey conducted by Gallup found that El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele has received an approval rating of 85 percent. He is the most highly regarded Latin American leader among 11 Latin American countries ranging from Mexico to Peru, according to polls. In September 2021, the Central American country of El Salvador declared Bitcoin to be legal money. With the tactic of buying the drop, the nation has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings.
That's very high approval rating for a President, it means that he has the full support of almost the population. And with this, hopefully he can developed El Salvador to be one of a tourist spot and then continue with his projects.

What do you think of this development?
This is good news specially for bitcoin, perhaps he could be emulate by other Latin American President because of his friendly stance and maybe this could be a platform for aspiring President too, to become pro-Bitcoin.
2625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Malaysian Ministry proposes cryptocurrencies as legal tender? on: March 21, 2022, 07:47:50 PM
Okay now this is getting out of hand! After El Salvador being the first, to Honduras set to make BTC as legal tender soon, and now this???
I don't think, that we should all be surprised that a lot of countries are making bitcoin legal tender. El Salvador has set precedent already, now it's time for some Asian countries to follow. And the thing is, many countries still developing nation could benefit from it.

What are your thoughts about this guys?
This is a welcoming news and again, there could be more crypto friendly nation that might go to this route and who knows, in the next 5-10 years, bitcoin will be over the globe, from Africa to Asia.
2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana have a future? on: March 21, 2022, 07:21:09 PM
For me it's just a matter of timing, I mean we all know that altcoin market, specially the solid ones will have a difficult time during bear market, even ETH at 2018 have seen worse going down as low as 2 digit. And since we are in a bearish phase right now, Solana will have a difficult time as well. But I believed it is one of the solid projects we have right now so it will still exist and have a bright future specially in the next bull run.
2627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 21, 2022, 12:48:23 PM
... for the time being he should really watch his diet so that his viral gastritis won't become an obstacle in his career.

In the latest interview of Casimero, it was said that he is already 80% prepared so far, therefore I expect that he has no health problem anymore and all he is doing now is just training hard to maintain his good stamina and improve his skills as a boxer.
Good news, if he confirms that he is ok then everything must be fine then, maybe some tweak on his preparation and diet to make the weight before the fight and then hopefully he can win against Butler bring honor to his country, face the music because of the alleged sexual case he had back in the Philippines and continue to fight.
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 21, 2022, 12:02:33 PM
I am not sure if this fight will happen. Although boxing fans are looking ahead for this fight but Bivol is Russian. And there are many chances that like many other sports this match will be cancelled as well. But let's hope for the best. In today's time safety of everyone is important than entertainment.

This fight will go on as plan because of the amount of money involved here. The only thing that some of the people have concern about is the sanctioning of this fight because of Bivol being a Russian. Some don't want this to be a title fight, some want to cancel but the promoters is keen on proceeding whether there is a belt or none as long as Canelo can fulfill what is written on the contract.

More or less, the promoters have a roughly 7 weeks to somehow arrange the fight to its final setting either if it's sanctioned or not, and if there will be a belt at stake because that is one of the main reasons too why Canelo have moved again in this division where Bivol is the champion. Either way as of now, the fight will happen on its scheduled date but the details is not yet fixed if this fight will be sanctioned or not.
I have a feeling though (personal opinion), that this fight is going to proceed as schedule. Both camps seems to be quiet, indication that they are in a serious training already as they will have 7 weeks to go And as the fights gets closer, we will see promotions and face-off and media interviews. So lets see how it pan out, there are so many factors at stake that this fight can't be moved.
2629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 21, 2022, 11:12:42 AM

Quote
Garcia said the pivotal incident was when he walked into Alvarez’s gym last year and found himself unable to continue with his workout after 20 minutes. He recalls breaking down in tears and having to leave. Alvarez was there, a witness to the whole event,

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-on-canelo-questioning-his-discipline-you-just-shtting-on-me-what-point--164910

And the way I understand it, Garcia felt betrayed by Alvarez comments about his work ethics and others and this is the main reason for me why he leave the Reynoso camp.

Garcia is very sensitive he just want Ryan to improve that's a problem when everything that's been said about you, you will take it seriously you should be open to criticism, champions can take criticism and go above it, the biggest question has been, is Ryan Garcia ready for the big things, can he take the challenge we can only conclude if he has fought a top caliber fighter and won a title, but right now he is a fighter in struggle for a place in boxing.
Maybe Canelo is just critical of Ryan, because Canelo knows what it takes to be a champion and Ryan shouldn't waste that time on his young. Of course he is still very young, but then again, it's very good to start early and be great in the next 5-10 years.

I think their friendship is now severed with this statement coming from Ryan. Even portraying Canelo as somewhat not reciprocating Ryan's support on him.
2630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 21, 2022, 10:32:04 AM
Nah, just another one of those who seems to be a perma-bull on bitcoin, nothing against him, but obviously, the bull run is over, we have touch a new all time high already in November.

So it's better just to put conservative numbers today, no exaggeration, just pure numbers that is enough for the current situation. Although we wouldn't want the price to hit 6 digits and more this year? But for me, it's not going to happen base on bitcoin's history.
2631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: March 19, 2022, 10:13:11 AM
I Think, Bitcoin will be back again like 2021.Bitcoin price was $66k+ in 1 year ago.Now bitcoin price around $38k+ i hope bitcoin price will rise againvin 2022 and bitcoin development will be more grow. I hope bitcoin development will be continue  and bitcoin community will be more stronger.I hope bitcoin price will be recover in 2022.

Again, it's better to just conservative numbers this year, bitcoin historically doesn't have all time high every year because it works in a 4 year cycle. So right now, this should be bearish so all time high is out of the question. And I'm not sure what bitcoin development you are saying, but their could be adoption but it's going to be a slow process unless government around the world will legalize it. So just as others have pointed out, just expect the unexpected for this year because it might be that the price will continue to go down and it will take another 2-3 years to see a full blown recovery.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 19, 2022, 09:52:47 AM
I see Alcaraz at +2.5 on Sportsbet so I'm just going for Alcaraz to win @ 2.24.

Its interesting that Nadal is still favourite even when not playing as well as he
is capable of and Alcaraz playing in good form.

Rublev is through to the other semi-final beating Dimitrov, he will face either Fritz
or Kecmanović, TBH I think he is good for the final. Interesting because he
has progressed to the semi without too much discussion about him.

It will be an intresting match between nadal and alcaraz for sure and will be an amazing match to watch . Also i think Kecmanovic can make a surprise again and knockout Fritz. Decent odd on Kecmanovic ,but lost the first set so hopefully he makes a good comeback

Same here mate, I thought that Kecmanovic can upset Fritz, and he almost did, he forced a tie break in the first set and then dramatically won the 2nd. However he completely lost the 3rd set, when I check the score it was already 5-0 and I don't know what really happen to him. He was strong throughout the second set and chances are high for him to win the third set because of that momentum. Didn't watch the match but maybe there's something wrong in him in the final set.
There was no injury for Kecmanovic in the 3rd, it was that Fritz really put up a great show in the final set and he just needed one break and then he completely roll over Kecmanovic.

It will be Fritz vs Rublev in the other semi finals.

Nadal vs the heir apparent Alcaraz, will go Over 22.5 is my bet.
2633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Avoids De Facto Ban in Europe on: March 18, 2022, 10:22:16 PM
Bitcoin has avoided a de facto ban in Europe after a controversial proposal was voted down in parliament.

The EU's Markets in Cryptoassets Regulation — known as MiCA for short — would have forced Proof-of-Work blockchains, like the one used by Bitcoin, to meet "minimum environmental sustainability standards."

But according to Unstoppable Finance's head of strategy Patrick Hansen, 32 politicians on the Economic and Monetary Affairs Commitee voted against this proposal — with just 24 in favor.

Read more about it on Coinmarketcap

I wasn't expecting such a law to be discussed at this time. Many people arround the world (including the european union) are supporting Ukraine using cryptocurrencies and many exchanges as well. Knowig that the ashrate in all european countries isn't that significant, i wonder for whom serves this kind of Ban .
Because this bill has been in proposal even before the war, the ban was mostly run by people who think that bitcoin and bitcoin mining hurts the environment, so that is the motive.

But at least they have voted against this proposal because it seems to be just a nuisance as they have to deal more important matter in their country and not focus on attacking bitcoin and mining business per se.
2634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 18, 2022, 08:06:58 PM
GGG admit that he had sparred Murata in the pass,

Quote
"It did take place but that was a long time ago. It was not the pure sparring approach that he came to spar me. I learned during those sessions that Murata is a very serious fighter with a high boxing IQ," Golovkin said.

https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-sparring-i-learned-murata-very-serious-fighter-high-boxing-iq--164844

So he knows what he is up against, a serious fighter in Murata and he would have to travelled to his home town and beat him. So this is a very dangerous fight for GGG.

Oh really, they did that in the past? That's good because even it was just a friendly spar, they could already tell each others capabilities just like how GGG felt about Murata. I only know that Murata was always looking up on GGG and something he said that it's been an honor to get a fight with GGG. Nonetheless, the number still cannot lie and we definitely know that GGG has the advantage even if he's much older now.
It just come from the mouth of GGG, hopefully there will be videos to resurface regarding this sparring. Anyhow, maybe GGG was already a star that time and Murata could be in the horizon that's why this sparring had happen. As I interpret it, even it is a sparring, Murata took it seriously and who knows, maybe give GGG some tough rounds this session and that struck to GGG's mind.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 18, 2022, 07:37:55 PM
That is really a good news to hear that it was just a sprained injury and nothing more serious.

And then we have this noise that Marcus Smart was a dirty player on what he did against Steph and then the kick on Klay Thompson. Steve Kerr is very vocal about it and there was a talk between the two during the game and you can see Smart' shaking his head as if saying that he didn't do it intentionally on Steph.
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 18, 2022, 07:17:32 PM
The undefeated Garcia should have made 2021 his year. While Garcia should get the job done, this fight is about Garcia getting his rhythm back and showing everyone that his mental health issues and his hand injury are water under the bridge.

I have also not seen anything negative about his physical injury issues in the last months. Joe Goossen has really contributed to getting Ryan Garcia back on his legs and back in the ring. He is a really good trainer.

The fight against Emmanuel Tagoe will defintely be the start of something special for Garcia.

Exactly! This fight is just a comeback to show the whole boxing world and industry that his issues are just minor and there's nothing to worry about it. We cannot forget that this is just an interim fight before Garcia faces Kambosos Jr. and in the same manner, there's some huge reasons why Garcia's camp and Golden Boy Promotions have choosen Tagoe despite that the latter have some good and decent experience in his career.

I share the same point of view with you mate.

This fight is just all about Garcia to make his name good again after all the rest he did and that he's in perfect shape either mentally and physically and of course to redeem his name again from his match against Cambell because even if he won last time, he was also was knocked out. We don't know why they picked Tagoe as his interim fight but I know there's a reason behind it, after all their goal is to defeat Kambosos Jr.
Knock down, is what you mean, they picked Tagoe perhaps they think that it's going to be an easy fight because this is a comeback. For now the target is Kambosos, but Kambosos will have a fight this year to defend his belt, if by chance he loses that one then the goal will chance. So the best thing for Ryan is not to look forward for any fight in the future, beat Tagoe first, and forget about what happen to the Campbell fight. His future is still very bright as he is young and there are a lot of opportunities for him if he will win against Tagoe and it will be good if it is by knock out to bring the hype again on his name.
2637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt market today on: March 18, 2022, 12:12:24 PM
today the market movement is very good where bitcoin has reached $40k again, ETH has also started to rise to $2.8k and other alternative altcoins such as BNB have also increased which have reached $387 of course this is a very positive move, but it is very difficult to say whether this increase can continue or fall again, because the crypto market is currently experiencing very excessive fluctuations.
I would be happier if Bitcoin could be at $50K again this year, as well as ETH at $3K and BNB at $500.
Because that is a very good price target if it can happen this year on the three coins I mentioned because if Bitcoin has improved its price from now on, then altcoins will have no more difficulty pumping in the market.

Then we might as well say we would be happier if Bitcoin was at ATH or at $100k then,,, of course everyone is happier if prices increase right? Well maybe except for leverage traders doing nothing but short trades. Which is why all of these levels now will not likely last because of short trading and for sure a lot of limits are also set at $50k BTC or $3k ETH Wink
For me $100k is out of the reach for this year, possible $50k, but I will not be surprised that we won't touch it as well. What I'm saying is that we are in bear market, so prices is very volatile but at the end of the day there is no dramatic rise in price like last year wherein we have a new all time high. So it's better to put on a conservative price. Same for altcoins, if bitcoin doesn't move that much this year, expect that the altcoin market might bleed.
2638  Economy / Speculation / Re: How these events will affect crypto market? on: March 18, 2022, 08:59:48 AM

Maybe p2p could still be a thing there? I mean there must be some people with crypto who need cash, and some people with cash and want to protect their value and get crypto for it. Who knows what would happen, but the person who bought bitcoin right before these started, and now can sell it to p2p with a mark up, would be able to make so much money there. Iran famously had similar things and always had a bit higher than usual amount. I remember their ATH during 2017 was 24k for example, not insanely higher, but another %20 on top of the ATH is still not bad at all and could be leveraged in Russia now as well.
But what will they do with their cash though if they can't used it? p2p might be a good option for them but if you have to think, if stores are close where do they going to spend their cash?

Maybe some will go and put everything they have in crypto and just enough cash in hand just in case and hopefully we can still go up to at least $50k so that it won't be a waste of time for them to have their wealth in crypto at this point.
2639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elizabeth Warren hatred for crypto is like no other on: March 17, 2022, 07:06:51 PM
I really don't want to get to know Elizabeth Warren and really don't want to know what impact it will have on crypto. No matter how many times he talks about the negative side of the crypto market. Remember cryptocurrency is freedom especially Bitcoin and no one can dictate to anyone for this. Except for the policy of the country where the witch Elizabeth Warren lives. Anyway, the fact is we still make over $30K. He asks who can spread FUD so easily, after all he will never say anything.
Not necessary but up to you if you want to know her personality on what makes you think why he hate crypto. I think he doesn't hate crypto and he doesn't spread fud but you guys only misunderstood what he said.

I think what he mean is Russia can still escape some sanctions given to them and he don't want this to happen because he wants Russia to see suffer a lot but it seems Russia is too brave to answer this, this is why they are now planning to shutdown their internet. It was like they are saying that they don't care about cryptos. The crypto donation in Ukraine can serve as a counter for any negativities including fud, there's no need to worry.
And I don't think that Russia will shift to crypto or bitcoin to escape the sanctions. They already have a wise idea, sell their oil at a cheap price to countries not ally or ally with them. So who wouldn't want that? Except maybe the repercussions is that the West might sanctions those who are going to buy oil, so another politicking. Anyhow, as I have said, Russia has many ways still up their sleeves that's why I don't see crypto as their best options to evade the embargo on them.
2640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: March 17, 2022, 06:34:25 PM
I think the increase in bitcoin prices since the beginning of February is a positive thing, especially the current momentum of bitcoin price increases by investors to re-enter the market and buy bitcoin in the short term to cover the losses of the previous few months. Therefore, we hope that by the end of this month the crypto price can continue to strengthen, at least it can rise back to the range of $50k.
For me it's just a regular movement, retracement after reaching a new all time high in November. There is no momentum right now, just constant selling and rebuying at a cheap price and then rinse and repeat for this short term traders. I also don't think that by the end of the month it will rise back to $50k, I have a gut feeling that we will somewhat trade in the regions of $35k-$40k unless there is a positive news to influence investors again to somewhat pour their money to fuel another bull run to $50k.
