On your android device, if you're using the web browser or cryptoglance app, when the app is not active on your screen it should pause any network connectivity... You can ensure it will not use data in the background by navigating to Android Settings (general phone settings) -> Data Usage -> CryptoGlance -> Restrict Background Data (enable this).
Not too sure about an easy https implementation. It may not work correctly on cryptoglance, but I can look into this and follow up in about ~1 week
Ok, restricted background data on the android app. The app does log out on it's own after a while, even if I don't specifically log out, causing me to have to re-input the password, so I don't know if it's possible to enable the app to remember the password and stay logged in or not, but it would be nice. Thanks again! Back to obsessively checking on my miners...

Aren't you overclockers looking at the effeciency with respect to energy cost?
Nope, I mine for hobby, I want as much hash as I can get while keeping hardware errors under 1%. Heat and electricity cost be damned!

Thanks for adding best share, now I really have no reason to look at anything other than cryptoGlance to get all the info I'm after. I got the phone app up and running as well, very cool. Now I can check in on my miners while I'm at work. Great application, thanks again! More donations when I solve my first block. We're happy you enjoy it Feedback from the community is our encouragement to keep development going, thank you! Question: if I do not log out of the remote app, does it maintain a connection to my server at home and eat bandwidth? Or does it close the connection on its own after a period of inactivity? Is there a way to make the remote app "remember" me? My password is super long and random, not fun to have to input every time. Pending the answer to above, I could just never log out, but not sure. If the connection is maintained, I will log out each time. If the connection is not kept live, then there's really no need for me to log out of the app, and thus no need for it to remember me. To get the remote app to connect using httpS I'm guessing I have to configure some stuff on my home computer/firewall, have any handy links where I can read up on this? I know nothing about SSL, but I'm a fast learner.

watch out with the airflow directed to your body! had a pc under table few years back and it gave me pain in the legs, so i rearranged to have 0 airflow to my legs directed to the face i can think of conjunctivitis, otitis... really bad for human health!
So you're saying hot air blowing on you is bad for your health? How so? If this were the case, anyone living in a desert would have bad health whenever it was windy.

After making the changes to my S3+ the new frequencies show up in the gui. I selected 262.5 and input voltage as 0750. When I restarted the box it came back still hashing at 450gh, but the error rate jumped from basically 0 to 0.3%. I set the frequency then to 250 and left voltage as 0750, restarted, and it came back hashing at 500gh with 0 error again. Why wouldn't the 262.5 frequency work?
0.3% error isnt much, but poor performance doesnt always show as errors - you could need slightly higher voltage look at the discard rate - if its more than 100% of the accepted sharees, you might have a problem and need to tune lower My main point was that the increased frequency and voltage did not increase the hash rate, it should have been hashing ~530gh, but it was hashing like at stock 225 freq.

almost there.
I see the pool hash rate rising... Came home today to no internet, so my machine was offline a few hours.

Just released a new Nightly build: v2.0.2.796The changelog: [ v2.0.2.796 ] FEATURES ======== - MobileMiner support. Can be enabled via Settings. http://www.mobileminerapp.com/ POOLS ===== - [+POOL] Burst.Ninja HOTFIXES ======== - Fixed issue where offline rigs would randomly appear/disappear in the overview panel Edit: This also includes "Best Share" for mining rigs (@Mikestang) Great, look forward to checking out the updates. My phone broke so I have had the chance yet to get the mobile app going.

Just a heads up: We have already set up a satellite internet connection in its place, and this farm is already back to normal.
Satellite internet? You do realise that this is the worst possible connection type for mining due to it's ultra-high latency right? DOH!! Yup, satellite Internet is no good for anything that needs low latency.

Is there a way to know what "the best share ever" is? When a block gets solved sometimes the hash provides a value that far exceeds the network difficulty. I wonder what the best share ever is so far? Pointless musing, but humor me.

... looks like the pool speed might have dipped a bit ... luck hoppers moving on. Stay on 'dig-in' mode all things will average out.
No luck hopping here, but my 6T rig was renting out to WestHash earlier today. It just fully returned to this pool about an hour ago. With my current settings WH has to exceed 25% above expected BTC for my whole rig to switch over like it did today (which is very rare). I noticed the pool hash rate jumped up since I returned, so I wonder if others were doing the same and affecting the hash rate here. Yea, I've noticed about 600TH coming/going the last couple of days. So some rigs are definitely moving around. Cool, looks really good.

I'm trying to setup an Antminer U2 with multiplool but can't seem to get it to work.
I'm using the command line:
bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us-west.multipool.us:7777 -u [MYUSERNAME] -p x With cgminer I get "No devices detected" I see the device listed in both device manager and in Devices and Printers as Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (Com4) It does eventually seem to find the device but It does not appear to be doing anything productive. I keep getting in an endless loop:
Pool 0 difficulty changed to 16384
Also once working should I adjust the Bits per second in the hardware properties? It's currently set at 9600.
You need to zadig it to use cgminer, then it will fire right up.

Nothing says "Bitcoin is a-ok and here to stay" to the general public like a mismanaged namesake foundation that is out of money.

I have many various Antminers at my home and I have no problem with radio, TV, Wi-Fi (and on my roof is 8 Wi-Fi AP 2,4 and 5GHz ). Much worse it is with my Espresso coffee machines :-)
My worst is my microwave. If I use it I can count on no wifi in the kitchen till it's done . Other then that rest of items seem pretty low on interference. I to have wifi, tv, radio, amateur radio, and a "micro cell" that makes a cellular connection from your internet. Sounds like the shielding on your microwave is toast, put some metal screen around it and you should be able to use wifi in the kitchen again. I'm sure your wife would like a metal cage around the microwave, too.

This pool still ripping users off? Why do people still support it? After the double spend crap I'm surprised anyone with 1/2 a moral points a box here.
