It's easily explained by looking at the last 20 blocks solved by the pool, they're all nice and green except 2; that can't continue. This drought should be expected and should be expected to last long enough to bring the pool luck back to average; it has 0 to do with any changes to the code or whatnot.

It seems since Greece has settled down so has the bitcoin price. Albeit higher than when the shit first hit the fan over there, but not quite the $300+ everyone was hoping for/predicting.

Despite the comms error it seems to be hashing along just fine, any clues as to what this new error is?
I left it running all night, and at some point the U3 hashrate dropped off the pool it was pointed at. When I looked at the bfgminer window in the morning the U3 was still running and spitting out those comms errors, several per second every couple seconds. This comms error seems to be the last hurdle in getting the U3 to be happy on this machine. It successfully submits shares even with the errors, but obviously something isn't right still.

Is there a way to set difficulty directly on this pool?
ty
If you're using cgminer you can use the --suggest-diff argument.

The calculation is very simple: profitability of any altcoin = 0

Use RealVNC, log into your home computer on your phone, send funds from home wallet as if you were sitting at your home computer. That is if you trust a computer with $50,000 on it connected to the internet. Solution 2: up your carry cash to ~$1000.

how do you choose some of the characters in your bitcoin address? You simply keep generating addresses until you get one that you like. Search " vanity bitcoin address".

Well that's a bummer, sucks to lose that 2%.
Do you have an English translation of that pict? Since it's not text it is difficult to put into a translator. Thank you.

Sales in less than a day, woo hoo! Thanks for the link to this sales page, can't wait to get these going at home.

Alright, that version correctly launches with '-S all' in the command line! The U3 even runs with the two nanofury sticks now, but I get a slew of errors: Despite the comms error it seems to be hashing along just fine, any clues as to what this new error is?

I was out of town for a few days and wanted to be sure I didn't miss the "on sale" announcement? I don't see mention of it in this thread, but just wanted to double check. Thanks.

It should go down farther into county within state if you want accurate. A state just is a huge thing to put together.
Most likely there are multiple energy companies, big cities with high bills, etc. Just not one size fits all.
Let's put things in perspective - if the county I lived in were a state there would be 9 states smaller than it. I live in the largest county in the country. County level isn't even adequate.

Their "California" number is way off. Our state is much to large to be represented by a single number. I pay twice the rate listed there, sometimes 3x.

I go out of town for a few days, out of touch with electronics, and come back to a $277 btc price. I was hoping it would go up by $15 in my absence, not down, but at least it's still a strong price and diff is hovering around where it's been all summer. Guess the Greece shake up did a little for btc, but not as much as people hoped. Which is a bummer because just today on the new they're saying how Greeks can't send money internationally and I'm thinking, "Hello, bitcoin?"

hey I added the 262.50 setting inside cgminer.lua, set voltage under advanced to 0750 - I am getting - shares and really low hash rates... any ideas? tried several different firmwares, all same issue - am I missing something? and chips are going x
There are some freq settings that my S3+ just won't hash at all with. Play around with the settings and you'll find out which your machine prefers.

On an unrelated note, Jonah M. Kessel, a friend of mine who previously shared our office when he was a freelancer photographer and I worked for a media startup called Danwei, now works for New York Times. Last month, I invited him to come over and make a documentary short film about the company and the mine - just received an email from him that the trip was approved. Also, for those who expressed concerns over the company's future, HaoBTC's business is going strongly at the moment -
Great to hear! The film project sounds exciting, it will be very interesting to see a feature on your mine. My btc with HaoBTC is safe an earning away, I just deposited some more last nigh.

I get way, way more random crashes/errors in v0.11.0 than I ever did with 0.10.2. Some times the programs shuts down with no error or notice, thankfully bitnodes emails me when the node goes down so I can restart it, but it sure is frustrating having the thing crash for no apparent reason.

If it runs satisfactory to you in stock setting leave it like that.
800v 250freq is considered pushing the machine pretty hard, although some folk run as high as 830v.
When I ran mine I used about 785v 237.5freq.
Get yourself an extra fan on the bottom of the unit if you're going to OC, they get hot.

Oh c'mon, this is getting ridiculous! I thought I'd give a small pool a chance but 3 days without a block is getting ridiculous. And it doesn't help that as the luck continues to get worse that more hashrate is running away. Grrrr.
You just picked the wrong 3 days to follow along, that's all. Last week blocks were falling from the sky like magic!

this output could be used to change water into steam Water boils at 100*C, steam to power a turbine needs to be much, much hotter. If you have a miner running over 100*C then you've got serious problems! Nothing productive can be done with mildly warm air.
