2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 09, 2019, 06:36:34 PM
I am looking forward to see Man City vs Chelsea tomorrow. Both team will try to win however if Chelsea can steal some points from City then Liverpool will be the happiest one.
This will be a hard one last time the two teams have met Chelsea got away with it an won (2-0) but with the recent performance of Manchester City out of the 10 games they have played they only loss once also included in those matches is a game against Liverpool which they have also defeated. Hard to say who will win but I think Manchester City has the edge in this match and they will have the same points with Liverpool by tomorrow.
2682  Economy / Economics / Re: Opinions about the emergence of new Coins on: February 09, 2019, 05:27:41 PM
To answer the all the questions generally I think OP's main concern here is will new altcoins be a threat to Bitcoin's dominance in the market? And I think the only answer to that question is yes, BTC's reign for being the top crypto in the market is numbered ever since new cryptos are popping out in the market. It's market share will be decreasing every time there is a successful ICO introduced in the market, although it may look bad for Bitcoin the good thing is this new altcoins have a chance to make the crypto industry more popular, and I think that is the best way towards mass adoption.
2683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Importing Vs Sweeping Private Keys; What you need to know. on: February 09, 2019, 08:21:21 AM
I wish we could have more of such post than posts where people are fighting for forum power all in the name DT.
Really depends on where you hang out the most, if you are always searching and reading threads under the meta, scam accusation, and reputation boards you will most likely see topics surrounding the forum only. But if you hang out on other sections such as the beginners & help section, press, development & technical discussion, and Bitcoin technical support you will see topics mostly related to Bitcoin itself and if you want to stay away from the politics inside the forum you must know where to look for threads to read in the forum.
2684  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-06] Wired - No Good Reason to Trust Blockchain Technology on: February 07, 2019, 07:48:24 PM
I don't know if he is an environmentalist or not but I'm not quite sure how did he come up an relate the trust issue he is trying to build up on blockchain while relating it on using too much energy in the world to work. He is talking like crypto mining is the biggest power consumer of energy in the world yet he fails to point out that there are other things consuming more energy compared to mining. Articles like this shows how nocoiners tries hard on how to make cryptos look worthless in our eyes.
2685  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Display risked bitcoin amount on profile. on: February 07, 2019, 06:40:00 PM
I wouldn't see this as useful at all. For one definitely if you want this risked amount to be displayed even on members who don't have DT feedbacks everyone can inflate their rating just to make their account attractive, other than that people will always prefer the member who has the highest score as they think that these people are the ones to be trusted the most. You will just simply be worsening the trust system if you want this added feature you introduced to be included.
2686  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BEST time to buy bitcoin is not there yet,but coming soon, don't miss it ! on: February 07, 2019, 05:45:30 PM
The problem I see about using the golden cross is you already missed the right opportunity before the cross even happens, so using the golden cross alone won't detect any kind of reversal in the charts. If you want to be more accurate you must also use RSIs, MACDs, as well as its volume in order to support those moving averages. Also the hardest thing is keeping track on their latest candles which is crucial on detecting any kind of bullishness in the chart. The golden cross is like a monitor in which it would only say "Yes we are now in an up trend".
2687  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: filing tax on hodling on: February 07, 2019, 04:40:54 PM
What I am saying is I sold it the first time and bought again after which price dropped significantly. I am still hodling from the second attempt, how do i claim this thousands of dollar loss to offset the few hundred gain?
You just need to simply declare that in your latest trade you incurred a loss which would clearly offset the hundred dollars you have gained. By that you won't be incurring any capital gains tax if you incurred a net capital loss that's if you don't have any capital gain bearing assets in your asset portfolio, but if you have other assets such as stocks you can also offset it from these as you are calculating your total net capital for the tax period.
2688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY 60% OF CURRENT CRYPTO HOLDERS MIGHT NOT CATCH THE NEXT BULL RUN... on: February 07, 2019, 03:46:35 PM
Love to see how you come up with the 60% of the investors being newbie, as I haven't seen any reading material about that. And from what I know the newbies who have entered last December 2017 have all cut their losses by now when they see that BTC started falling so what it seems to me is that the ones who are still left holding their BTC are the ones who have it before the bull run even started, so these newbies you are referring to have left the market a long time ago, maybe only a few of them are left. But really the only ones who are staying in the market right now are the ones who have faith with their investments.
2689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Indian government is worried that cryptocurrencies may destabilise the rupee on: February 07, 2019, 02:41:34 PM
The minute I see news that their government is planning to have  their own cryptocurrency or two is the moment I realize that these regulations that the RBI is pushing is only for their citizens to favor their own locally created crypto which I think is really unconstitutional, first of all they will say what cryptocurrencies are legal or not in their country so by this part alone we now see that the RBI is trying to eliminate competition against their upcoming ICO, this is really not about the Indian Rupee but it is about their greed in the system.
2690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin Mixer? on: February 07, 2019, 02:00:05 PM
Alternatively, just use a privacy coin and skip all the work and fees associated with using bitcoin mixers.  XMR is one of the best options considering the high trading volume and fairly stable price.
Xmr is also becoming illegal in some countries. Mixers aren't illegal yet, as far as I know.
That is also the point I will try to make, countries like Japan and Korea have ordered exchanges to remove anonymity centered coins like Zcash and Monero as they don't want this cryptocurrencies to circulate around in their country. Bitcoin mixing is the best alternative to remain anonymous with your transactions, I consider this a loophole in the system and IMO I think that this can still pass on future regulation and international services like this cannot be controlled by one country alone.
2691  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-5]CEZA: Philippines Reveal New Cryptocurrency Rules & Regulations on: February 07, 2019, 12:54:09 PM
According to the article:

Quote
The regulations particularly cover three important levels of crypto offering: Tier 1 which includes assets and investments less than $5 million with payment transacted in cryptos; Tier 2 covers investment between $6-$10 million; and Tier 3 covers big investments over $10 million.

This is very interesting as I'm not aware of any regulatory body around that break down into tiers based on the amount of investment, this could be the first and I hope that this kind of regulatory will really help projects to choose Philippines as their destination and let's see which ICO will take advantage of this set-up. Will it attract ICO/STO projects?
They might be doing the tier system in order to classify them on what kind of benefits or tax exemptions and rates they will receive on their classification. This tier system might also give each tier different requirements for their businesses and based on what how I understand it they did this on the protection of their investment so surely it involves different procedures and rule compliance for each tier.
2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 07, 2019, 12:29:39 PM
How will this move happen now if the season is not yet over and the January transfer window is closed? Is there a special exception for non-european teams buying players outside the transfer window?
The transfer window is closed for new arrivals to Serie A teams but they can still sell their players to leagues were the transfer window is not yet closed, like in China.

I read rumours that a Chinese club offered Mario Mandzukic a $10 Million a year contract which he turned down and he is expected to extend his contract with Juve until 2022/2023.
Well I haven't seen that kind of move, maybe I haven't notice is since mostly the transfer window moves I only see are from European countries as well as South American Countries besides that other regions are silent when it comes to big moves, but all of that can change especially when China is going big for their Football League, the advantage for this is European teams can sell their unwanted players even if the transfer window is closed, but I think there would be a change in regulation once they see an abuse with the system.
2693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 06, 2019, 08:37:52 PM
Yes it seems Hamsik is actually leaving. Reports yesterday suggested that he would be flying for Madrid to carry out medical examinations. After that it is expected that he will sign a 3 year contract with Dalian Yifang.

https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/hamsik-says-last-goodbyes-to-napoli-medical-tests-scheduled-42077
How will this move happen now if the season is not yet over and the January transfer window is closed? Is there a special exception for non-european teams buying players outside the transfer window? By the way calciomercato is not the most reliable news for Football in Italy, most of them are even recycled from other news sources that are also unreliable.
2694  Other / Off-topic / Re: Giving away 7 merit to newbies to rank up on: February 06, 2019, 08:20:13 PM
what is merit? I am newbie but I still don't understand why would I need merit to rank up?
isn't ranking up based in activity?

I need a ranking up.  Do I ever!!

I've been a newb since starting at the forum and I remain a newb.
WTF??? Did you literally just gave merits for these posts? I think you misunderstood the point on giving merits, its not for people begging it or even asking what is it for as they are the ones who don't deserve it in the first place. Didn't you saw what the other members have replied to you? You should have instead search for quality posts in other threads and not give it away like this. With what you did you just really wasted your merits by now.

EDIT
Oh now I understand, you got tagged from your previous actions here in the forum and you think your account is not useful for you anymore.
2695  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for independent developers. on: February 06, 2019, 07:28:02 PM
Thanks
Xbtfreelancer are not accepting new registrations at this time.

Have you try to post in this free-lance website though? (https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/) or any other freelancing sites out there? Anyways if you wanted to reach a broader audience, move or create another post in this section, Services. Again let me remind you to choose the best candidates as there are many scammers in the crypto market.
You should follow Kemarit on this one as by now you have seen post of newbies and maybe in your pms offering their services to you, well most of them have no reputation here so you need to exercise caution when transacting with them. At least in a freelancing website you will see their qualifications as well as their record and the best thing is you can choose who you higher as most definitely a lot of freelancers would be interested in having a project to get paid.
2696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof MtGox Dumping Caused Bear Market Alleged on: February 06, 2019, 06:27:42 PM
I think they really don't care about at what price they sell it anymore, they were instructed to liquidate their cryptocurrencies in order to pay their victims/customers so they have really no time to anticipate selling their holdings on a higher price. I have seen Mt. Gox did this in the past year and their holdings are still big to influence the market so it is really not that avoidable to see drops like this. But once Mt. Gox have no more holdings anymore we can expect that they have no more power in the market.
2697  Economy / Economics / Re: JPMorgan: Blockchain to improve payment systems on: February 06, 2019, 05:34:13 PM
Just the other day someone shared a news from same JPMorgan who said bitcoin was a bust.
Can they please decide on what they feel about crypto currencies ?
Do they just want to see blockchain succeed whereas bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies fail? Is that what they want ?

I mean how do they expect blockchain to be something huge while they think cryptocurrencies are a bust while the cryptocurrencies are based on the same blockchain they praise so much. You can't have one without the other, if blockchain can improve the payment systems that well then we already have the bitcoins and ethereums to prove that they are right and that is why we love the cryptocurrencies so much.

Either love both of them or hate both of them but they do not have the luxury to love one and hate the other.
It's more on the technology behind cryptocurrencies really, they can say whatever they want on cryptocurrencies having no monetary value and it will be only be money of a dystopian world but they personally know that Blockchain technology is a good feature to add into their system. They haven't said anything bad on the tech but the cryptos itself and even though they are saying harsh words to cryptos they know that they are using a part of it in the future, so I guess they are somehow eating their words for saying cryptocurrencies are a worthless creation.

This dude was like
I am confused, it is been years since i am using this account and i never did or broke any terms of this forum because i am well aware of its terms but i am so much sure that my account has been banned blindly !

And then after a lot of members have pointed out his violations in both spam and plagiarism his next argument would be.
Thank you for replying.  I saw all these signs linked to my account but these all happened in past and my account was banned yesterday.  I am not sure for any plagiarism but if these were the reasons of my account ban, why didn't it happen at the right time ?  it is happening now after a year !

So clearly he thinks that it was unfair that he got banned a year after his copy/pasted post so from that point arguing with this guy would be pointless.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 05, 2019, 03:35:07 PM
I don't know if its official but I think the New Orleans Pelicans management only wants to trade Anthony Davis around a deal concerning Jayson Tatum as the centerpiece of the trade, for Boston Celtics of course this would be an enticing trade to make but their center position is already covered up good so the problem here is both teams or even a third team would give up a lot of players in order to make this trade happen. But whatever happens NOP won't give up AD without having any good players in return.
2700  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Could someone explain Washington, USA's new Bitcoin law to me in plain English? on: February 05, 2019, 02:51:21 PM
Dude they allowed Bitcoin in your country and you are still being a ungrateful greedy bastard by not wanting to pay your tax obligations? This is what the government is afraid to show support off as they know some outliers are still hiding their earnings when it comes to crypto, its like they are giving a go signal for legislators that are against cryptos in the first place to make some strict changes in their crypto laws. If I were you I'll just pay my fair share of tax liabilities so that I'll have a peace of mind.
