1741  Economy / Reputation / Re: Family of 4 : Needs Investigation on: November 05, 2019, 07:50:47 PM
And I don’t understand what happened.
We have never brake forum rules and bounty company rules. We never plagiarized. All our videos, articles and posts are original.  So what do you want?

Usually when common addresses, social media accounts, transactions are linked to two or more people in the forum then it instantly raises a red flag that the accounts are just handled by one person not by several persons and that is understandable since a lot of account farmers and bounty cheaters are caught in that way, they also say the reason that they are part of a family and they each own an account here in the forum so this excuse is really flawed here. So really if you have anything to prove that you are indeed a family of four and all of those four accounts are owned by four people then just hope that it convinces the DT members.
1742  Economy / Reputation / Re: Family of 4 : Needs Investigation on: November 05, 2019, 07:18:20 PM
If they are a family of four then why do they need to send tokens to one address or to multiple ones at the same time? What will be the purpose of it if they do independently earn tokens from campaign yet they transact to the same addresses? Clearly there is no logical explanation just in the base on the transactions alone they are doing frequently among themselves.
1743  Other / Archival / Re: McAfee Dex? No! on: November 05, 2019, 06:18:32 PM
Its sad that some people started to use that dex Sad as in time they will all get scammed in a way or another as McAfee is nothing good at besides this. Also in the first days after launch were pairs of ETH/ETH and I doubt it was a bug as I think they somehow laundering money with this platform so just stay away , use safe exchanges and safe DEX instead of this one. Besides this , many of us think is just a copy/paste of another dex , nothing unique.

I don't say that McAfee will be scamming them directly or has his mind set on doing it but think about the risk of associating your funds under McAfee's name? Authorities are always watching him and if the time comes where all of his businesses will be put into action then all his clients' funds will also be affected and they won't be able to withdraw it. With him having a decentralized exchange then for sure he will be a target on allegations involving money laundering and tax evasion or any kind of illicit activity that they will try to link to him because the authorities are already hot on his head. I would really think twice before I send my funds to an exchange associated with McAfee because the attractive fees aren't really worth it.
1744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys on: November 05, 2019, 05:33:47 PM
No wonder this channel has been fooling a lot of people, he has his Youtube channel named "Ethereum"
If they carefully check that channel, they will see it comes from the username, thehotgeek. Does Vitalik Buterin use his username on any channel with that one: thehotgeek. Once again, from that username, I want to emphasize that all or most of victims fall into scam because of their carelessness and they can not blame on anyone else for their carelessness and faults, from Ethereum, Youtube to scammers.

Beyond username, they have to check video history. On that channel (of @thehotgeek), they will obviously see very free and dangerous signals of scam because as I wrote in OP, 12/14 of published videos are not related to cryptocurrencies. There are only two and all related to Ethereum, that published recent days solely to scam people.

The thing is in the eyes of a newbie or just a common person they will believe in this at first sight without even having any kind of doubts that this is in fact a scam waiting to happen. They won't go look around and investigate the flaws on that channel but they will instead see the "giveaway prize" they are after. Add in to the fire that you will see a lot of fake responses saying that they have received the ETH reward they are waiting, this will surely attract a lot of viewers to send in money on their own.
1745  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Volunteer Writers on: November 04, 2019, 08:46:34 PM
Come on think about it on any writer's point of view? Do you really think you will attract someone writing for your website without some kind of compensation/benefit in return? You won't, and even if find a interested person to write for your website I doubt that he will even be creating good quality content in your website. You are taking the time and ideas of that writer you should not take advantage of it and make him compensated for that, it's either that or you just start writing articles for yourself.
1746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys on: November 04, 2019, 08:03:52 PM
No wonder this channel has been fooling a lot of people, he has his Youtube channel named "Ethereum" and they are promoting that they are giving away Ethereum. Aside from that they made it look like Vitalik is doing an interview in the live stream which makes it more convincing towards a newbie. Currently the live stream has 922 viewers which is really a bad sign that a lot of people are watching and can be potential victims because of it.

Update

The video has now been blocked by Youtube maybe because a lot of people have reported it already. At least people are safe for now.
1747  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone else remember this? on: November 04, 2019, 07:22:12 PM
Whether you like it or not this is how the world works and we can't do anything about it, we can't do anything if the ones on top don't want to resign or if the corporations are passing it down to their heirs we don't have anything in our power to stop it. For the fresh graduates still looking for a job it only takes one successful application to change your life. Not because you aim for a promotion everyday but because you need to save money and create your own business someday, you don't need to get stuck in their company as their bottom dweller forever as what you want in life won't happen if you do so.
1748  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CryptoBossCoin New Pump And Dump Shit Token ! on: November 04, 2019, 06:09:41 PM
So I just found out that the OP of the thread of CryptoBossCoin (currently down by 35%) has been promoting other likely scams in the forum and CryptoBossCoin is just one of them. You can take a look at his post history and you will see at least three likely scams being promoted by the same OP. Also based from his post history you will see that he is targeting local boards in the forum where trust ratings aren't available on your post, this might be his tactic to cover up his rating in the forum.
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 04, 2019, 03:38:21 PM
I'm waiting for the match Dortmund vs Inter Milan will Dortmund be able to win this match at home? Having 4 points is the same as Inter Milan so both must compete as much as they can to win, adding 3 points will be safe to advance to the last 16.

They lost to Inter Milan on their first game and I don't see a different result even on their home. What I have seen in the previous match is even though Dortmund maintained the possession of the ball most of the game they failed to produce a goal and yet Inter Milan has maximize their attacks well and delivered two goals during that match. Without them changing anything on their defense and how they bring the ball down I don't see them winning the second game at all.
1750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2019, 08:40:37 PM
Exactly! In February or march I guess ... from $4,000 surge to $13,000 before it falls down to $7,000 nearly $6,000 and now we are looking to do it again? Seems like a manipulative market in big scale isn't it?
I don't know when you have started trading cryptocurrencies but this is just considered to be a normal movement for Bitcoin price jumps that range to over 1,000$ is something we have a chance to see everyday and I don't see anything extraordinary about it. But for sure prices we are seeing now is somehow affected by price manipulation and it's not always purely demand since a price movement created by demand doesn't move fast like this one.

Guess this time could reached higher up to $15,000 many of professional speaking loud about this already , are you one of them who believe at this speculation? I have really a lot of questions in my mind and thinking that this going to happen exactly the same like the previous one.

Just don't get your hopes up just yet since we aren't even in a bullish market now. We might jumped by 2,000$ in just a day but we didn't get into any kind of reversal because of it. We just simply consolidated on a higher level and that's it.
1751  Other / Meta / Re: We need fresh design on: November 03, 2019, 08:00:11 PM
As others said it is in test form, you can also try it.

But what is the difficulty of using the current UI of bitcointalk? It seems easy and comfortable with current design than sites with more animations or whatever you consider as fresh design.

It's a nightmare for mobile users. No mobile responsiveness so you gotta zoom in everytime you refresh the page.

I don't really notice the problem you are facing right now. Even if the website doesn't adjust to mobile and desktop view of the browser I still feel comfortable using the current Bitcointalk's U.I.. Yes you can't add links, quote messages, and edit your post quickly but the basics of posting and replying is still bearable on my end. It may be because you have an outdated mobile phone or have a small screen that is why you don't think BCT's current U.I. is not good being viewed with a phone.

P.S.

I'm posting this using my phone right now and I don't see any problems with it.
1752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the solution about CMC fake volume..? on: November 03, 2019, 07:16:34 PM
Don't you even counter-check the volume in your own exchange or charts in tradingview? Simply just relying what you see in coinmarketcap is a careless act of a trader to do. It's like basing a trade on only one source which will be totally inaccurate if you ask me. Some exchanges do come a pre-built chart on their platform so why do rely on coinmarketcap to see what are the gainers/losers? If you are looking for alternatives marketcap.cc is claiming to have remove fake volume on their data and I think it's better to have a second source rather than basing it purely on cmc.
1753  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 150 million taxpayers will have to answer this crypto ques on new IRS Tax Form on: November 03, 2019, 05:48:39 PM
I don't see any kind of irregularities for Bitcoin or for any other cryptocurrency in that matter being taxed by the US government and I think it's the right step on being equal with the law since crypto earners also need to pay their tax obligations with their country. This is not a sign from the government for us to be discourage on the industry but this is them working things around with the industry. And yes this is a sign of mass adoption or at least an acceptance by the government that their citizens can indeed earn through Bitcoin, I would rather pay taxes than have crypto banned in my country which will just cut all my opportunities to earn in the industry.

Obviously a sign of fully accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The government will always interfere when they see any disadvantages against them that are out of their control. So, it's always gonna be better to just tax everything we earn as profit, than totally ban the source of income. Though we know any government could regulate Bitcoin by putting taxes to monetize the people who are earning big time in crypto trading like the stocks, but It's our "responsibility" as you said, to pay taxes from it. Infact the IRS also have fair deductions of profit, like when you sold your Bitcoin on a lower price than the actual price when you buy it, you can write off your capital loss to save you a buck on your tax bill.

It's not only a disadvantage on them it is also an inequality on other citizens who are paying their taxes right. The key here is equality whether your income is from a business or salary or in cryptocurrencies if crypto earners are not paying their taxes right then the government's system is unjust on the others. Do not look "taxes" as some kind of evil thing leeching your money away as most countries have them in order to survive, if taxes and KYC is something we need to sacrifice in order to have their full support and carry mass adoption then I think it's a worth trade off in the long term beside we really don't have any choice as they are the ones running the country not us. If you really don't want taxes you can move out of your country and find a country who is tax free.
1754  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-03] BitMEX Exposes User Emails In Data Leak on: November 03, 2019, 04:53:48 PM
Even though this was an internal error from the start a data leak from their part is something not to fly by with since data is still leaked and it got into the wrong hands or at least people have read some info which are not meant for them. If you are asking for the support of the SEC for some kind of enforcement into businesses related to the crypto industry I think they are doing a bad job at it. The "development" on their end only means KYC  enforcement and AML compliance all of which just relate to avoiding crimes happening in the industry. But what us people really want is the enforcement of data protection and security for out assets not to be hacked or obtain illegally by other people, if they really do want to support our industry then they should step up on this fields as well.
1755  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling cigarettes on: November 03, 2019, 04:12:25 PM
For the ones who are interested with this product you must remember that importation of goods related to vices have different laws when it comes to our customs and you might not even receive the products you have bought from OP because it will be blocked by the customs immediately. If it ain't blocked then chances are your taxes will be considerable with all the tariffs and related cost for imported goods. Just try to calculate if you will really save something or spend more at the end because shipping imported goods is no joke.
They are allowed to bring when they travel into their country but for shipping process I don't think they will let this without taxes and I guess it will increase the expense into double if anyone buying cigarettes from foreign countries with strict regulations on bringing these things into their country.

By my understanding of his thread the whole point of OP's product/service is for shipping purposes and I don't see any people trying to "travel" in another country just to save a little bit on a discounted price for cigarettes because technically you aren't saving anything at all considering that you are also paying tickets for your plane to travel. Sure this will be a good idea if you are in the same country as the OP but I don't think this is intended for customers outside of their jurisdiction because for people outside it they will just be incurring additional cost just to bring it back in their country.

1757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin Halving! on: November 02, 2019, 08:03:54 PM
Let us remember that during BAKKT'S launch it failed the hype we expected it to have and it didn't really gained much traction we are expecting it to have. So even if Starbucks' partnership with BAKKT becomes successful I don't even think that it can translate to any kind of price increase in Bitcoin's value. External factors like this to be more effective is it must translate into demand for the cryptocurrency not just hype, without the demand backing it up then there is no new money coming in the market all we will just have are our existing funds trying to push the prices among ourselves.
1758  Economy / Reputation / Re: ban request- 12 live profiles - ban evasion on: November 02, 2019, 07:06:04 PM
Nice catch, although some of the accounts have been inactive for a long while.
They should get a negative tag for joining the same campaign with alt accounts, but that is not necessary as any action taken should be a ban for evading the previous one.

Negative trust would just be a temporary solution here and what's the best thing to do next is for the OP to submit this thread to any mod and report it so that the live accounts here in the forum will be banned for ban evasion. But looking at all of the accounts related I think only hromos and 1chempion123 are the active accounts by the user here. Another thing to note that is most of the accounts linked together are also created on the same time frame ranging from September to December while most of them are created around December 17 and 18.
1759  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you interested in having a prepaid card? on: October 31, 2019, 08:14:22 PM
If you aren't trusted enough in the crypto community then it would really be hard for you to grab some market share from the well reputable ones. For one if you lower your fees compared to them it would create more suspicion rather than attraction towards your prepaid card. There is also an issue about the KYC process since you will be launching in EU countries then for sure that your KYC process would be much more stricter and for a starting business like you this is also a bad sign since your potential users would be a bit hesitant handing out their personal info to a less known company. So I really think you need to focus more on gaining trust rather than having an attractive fees.
