1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 21, 2019, 03:35:20 PM
It is really weird to see Golden State Warriors being trashed like this, after years of dominance. At least they will have solid chances to get nr1 pick in the next draft. With a bit of luck  and healthy team,   they might be contenders again next year.

With that being said, does anyone follow next year draft prospects, it it expected to be good year?

I think they are literally doing this on purpose just to get a higher chance of getting the first pick. First of all seeing their stars injured like this as well with a very long time frame for their recovery is something to be suspicious off Curry, Draymond, and Russell are all gone and they really have the worst roster right now to win some games. Another point is that one of their healthy players which is DLo (injured as of the moment) is on the trading block to lure in some draft picks or some key pieces its obvious that they are really preparing more for the next season rather than win some games this season.
1682  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hotcryptonews.org - crypto news aggregator on: November 20, 2019, 08:39:55 PM
Your website literally looks like it was inspired from craigslist all you have is the headline of the news and the redirect link of it. You haven't provide any kind of snippet towards the content of the news itself which I think will be helpful for readers if they really want to read all the news. Also just by looking at the headlines you have right now I feel that you aren't handpicking your news at all and grab all the news that is coming from crypto news websites, if I were you I would only pick quality news that is good for the time of the readers and not waste their time on such clickbaity headlines.
1683  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 20, 2019, 08:06:41 PM
When you have an asset backed crypto currency there is usually centralization involved which is why people dislike it.
I mean it is not really that hard to have a gold backed crypto in theory for example, as long as you have one very trusted company doing it, they could potentially do an ICO and for example they sell 1 ounce of gold for 1 goldcoin or whatever they name it and if you want to buy it you pay whatever the price of 1 ounce of gold is and if you want to sell it you get 1 ounce of gold (or equal dollars) in return and so forth.

Basically all of the mathematics gets stuck at the "what if the company is not a good one" because you can't just trust a company or a person to actually have 1 to 1 backing of those coins in gold and that is why it won't happen (probably).

Well I think its a fair trade off if you asked me. Even if they are centralized in some way you can't argue to the fact that they are less volatile compared to the decentralized ones. Asset backed cryptos are not only prices through its demand but also to its financial performance because if we are talking about asset backed cryptos we are not only talking about stable coins since I we can categorized STOs as asset backed cryptos as well since they are part of a company similar to what stocks do to them. If people want some kind of diversity happening in our market and they don't want to risk all their capital to volatile cryptos they have the option to buy Stock-like cryptocurrencies.
1684  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The A to Z of Spending Bitcoin on: November 20, 2019, 07:23:54 PM
Maybe you can expand your list by still adding new websites that accept Bitcoin alphabetically since you will be missing a lot of them if just you just listed 26 websites. I'll add another suggestion which  is D for domain hosting and they are several of them that accepts Bitcoin HawkHost, Hostinger, and Namecheap to name a few. You should really update your list since I don't think you have a good example for "O" since you just repeated the name of Overstock which is in the category of an e-commerce business.
1685  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Your view on faucets and GPT anyone using these to earn free bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 06:18:39 PM
Considering the times it needs to earn just a few cents and have bigger expense by doing it? I don't think this is a smart move to earn cryptocurrencies as really the ones earning here are the website owners who have ads in their faucet websites. Not unless you have referrals of your own I don't think its wise for you to claim and wait for another time to claim again just to earn a cents worth of Bitcoin. Your electrical expense on just running your computer alone is enough to cover the claims you have from that faucet. Not really a wise move for anyone in the crypto world.
1686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to systematically learn to trade crypto from being a newbie? on: November 19, 2019, 08:46:54 PM
You can really mix both especially most of the technical analysis books we have are all about trading stocks mixing it with TAs for cryptocurrencies could help you know the differences and similarities of both markets. Additionally if you want to focus on pure TA then there is a no better place to go then tradingview's dedicated page for each crypto since they have a community there for each crypto and all they talk about are technical analysis, but I wouldn't suggest you go here first as you wouldn't know what they are talking about if you still don't know the basics of TA.

Here is tradingview's page for Bitcoin.
1687  Other / Meta / Re: The inclusion of large, unnecessary images in threads. Opinions? on: November 19, 2019, 08:02:43 PM
One thing that annoys me when I'm in the press section is I always see the posters including the thumbnails of the news article in their post
Most of the Press board is a shitpost anyway, so this isn't really igniting an ember to a forest fire as it is igniting the remains of the Hindenburg.

I still got the same sentiments on the style of how posters do it on other boards. Just like what the links ThePharmacist has provided most of the examples aren't in the press board yet I still feel that images that aren't relating to the body of their post is still an unnecessary addition to their post and will just cause a distraction rather than the added attention they want. If the images aren't diagrams or infographics and just thumbnails to get the attention then they aren't really worthy to be included at all.
1688  Other / Meta / Re: The inclusion of large, unnecessary images in threads. Opinions? on: November 19, 2019, 07:22:52 PM
One thing that annoys me when I'm in the press section is I always see the posters including the thumbnails of the news article in their post, obviously most of the images are animated or vectors and it doesn't really have any function but to get more attention for the news itself. But I really wonder why they have the need to include it on their own post? First off it doesn't really relate to the news and even if there is one it's just an image of the person they are talking about or just images of the Bitcoin logo on it which doesn't add up to anything about the news. If the posters want to get the attention of the readers itself I think a much better approach is to adding an opinion about the news itself rather than just copying and pasting the article including the thumbnail.

An example of the image I'm talking about. (Resized)

1689  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spamming Personal Message for Advertising Exchange on: November 19, 2019, 06:38:33 PM
Just to clarify things, so do you mean that it's not necessary anymore to create a thread here in the reputation section for these types of PM advertising? And all we need to do is to click the "Report to Admin" button?
In theory yeah, unless you want the community to be aware of malicious messages being sent around. "Report to the admin" will likely see consequences on the forum side of things. For example, if a user was spreading malware through personal messages then they would likely be  banned if users have reported them with the "report to admin" function.

If you believe this is a threat to the community, and others might fall victim to the malicious software its probably a good idea to post about it publicly too. Whether you want to disclose the personal message is entirely up to you though.

Agreed, it's good to report the misuse of the private messaging feature of the forum but it will be best to let the other members to know just to spread the awareness that some individuals are spreading shit through messages. I have a couple of pms as well similar to this one and I quickly have ignored all of them, but with what you have said I think I'll start reporting the next scammy pms here in the reputation section or in the scam accusation just to spread awareness.
1690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Trading competition good way to earn money? on: November 18, 2019, 08:51:21 PM
Yes it's a good way to earn a few extra cash but keep in mind the risk you will be taking in order to keep up with the competition? Remember your main reason in entering in the crypto market is to trade and earn some money and not to enter in a competition where you are facing a lot of competitors, focusing on the competition itself and not your own trade would just risk you on losing more money and it will reflect badly in your portfolio. If you are entering in one of their competition remember that you shouldn't focus on defeating your opponents but you should focus more on your portfolio and your own trading strategy.
1691  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spamming Personal Message for Advertising Exchange on: November 18, 2019, 08:17:45 PM
If a user is sending unsolicited personal messages then make sure to always report that to the admin. Otherwise, its likely to go unnoticed. I'd probably recommend only sending the report to admin to global moderators included on the list, and not directly to theymos/cyrus as they likely have more time than the admins.

Just to clarify things, so do you mean that it's not necessary anymore to create a thread here in the reputation section for these types of PM advertising? And all we need to do is to click the "Report to Admin" button?
1692  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: People’s Bank of China Announces Test Program to Limit Cash Transactions on: November 18, 2019, 07:26:11 PM
"Unregistered cash transaction" they made normal cash transaction sound something illegal where in the past year everything seems normal about it. Just when I thought that nothing could be worst than what India is trying to do with their own digitalized version of Rupiah then China finds a more clever way onto introducing their state-owned crypto to their citizens. It's like nothing has change where one country tries to take advantage of the situation and they only want is for them to have one option only. I just hope that the people will be wiser and still take the crypto route rather than their state owned crypto.
1693  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-18] Russian Intelligence FSB Linked to $450 Million in Missing Bitcoin on: November 18, 2019, 06:01:22 PM
With all the conspiracy theories revolving around FSB and the Russian President I still don't know what to believe so I still count this news as a rumor rather than something true. Especially the part when they talk about BBC having some tapes yet they don't discuss anything about it, this part alone is just what they want us to see to cause some stir in the news in order to make it hotter/juicier for the audience. If this gained more traction I would expect this kind of news would be played out in a lot of ways and they will recycle this like what they are doing with Bitcoin ETFs and Chinese related news.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 04:46:36 PM
As much as I want to give a statement against them there are things simply impossible to do. What if the bank that is against crypto is also my payroll account? Could I really do something against it? With this scenario we really don't have any choice left to do. If they don't accept crypto related transactions then it's their lost and the only thing we can do is to wait that they realize it on their own. Which we have seen a lot of times already with big companies like how Starbucks changed its views towards Bitcoin.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 18, 2019, 03:20:29 PM
Hi guys any thoughts on the upcoming match of La Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunders? OKC isn't that weak team but some betting contest give them huge plus on odds. Like our prediction group in our Local, OKC has a + 8.5 score points against Clippers.

I know somehow Clippers will triumph since their team has really have some advantage over OKC. Also, we dont know if Leonard will play on this match. I bet on OKC knowing this team can always caught up in a deadly match but not expecting to win on this game. How about you guys? Any thoughts about this?

I know that Kawhi Leonard is still questionable for this game but if you see the Clippers team overall with PG you know he can handle OKC. They won against Atlanta by 49 points and they themselves are not a bad team what more if Kawhi becomes available. Both of them playing together for LAC would be a disaster for Oklahoma even if they have a good defensive team. My bet is with the Clippers side even if Paul George would be the only one playing in their duo.
1696  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: wixiplay.io is a SCAM! on: November 17, 2019, 08:49:46 PM
You can clearly see in the blockchain that my deposit went through. Pay me my 0.05 btc.

Why are you asking Coolcryptovator to pay you .05 BTC? He isn't even directly affiliated nor indirectly affiliated to wixiplay. You are simply trying to extort money out of him without any good reason why. The thing is you have opened a fake scam accusation against wixiplay and you just posted it first to hopefully ruin their name, luckily they have proof discrediting what you are saying.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is best fantasy site for crypto? on: November 17, 2019, 07:51:06 PM
I've asked this before and since we don't have a lot of options there I think the best real option is still go with either Yahoo or ESPN as your fantasy league source and make the bets outside of their service meaning you will create a league and find players who are also willing to bet in cryptocurrencies. You'll find them in various fantasy gambling groups found in Facebook and you will see a lot of them looking for leagues even if the season has started already. Hope this helps you since I was the one who figured it out myself.  Cheesy
1698  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suggestion for A Great Wordpress Theme on: November 17, 2019, 06:51:43 PM
Just a quick suggestion if you are building a job seeking website you need to make it simple and your website should have categories that job seekers can quickly access. Don't focus on the theme yet but the main structure of the website since even if you have a mediocre design but have quick access tabs and links I think the users would be generally please in using your website. You will get the general idea of the layout for a job seeking website if you look at the existing ones you can based it from there and tweak it into your own liking.
1699  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: November 17, 2019, 05:55:09 PM
So stable coins are pegged to fiat currency 1:1
Fiat currency is DEBT based.
The bigger the debt the bigger the demand for fiat currencies!

In economy boom yes fiat currency value is less but when recession is there... Then the fiat currency will be on hands of few.

So debt is what Gives value to fiat currencies!

I disagree with your point. It doesn't matter how big the country's debt is as long as the financial growth is carrying it the economy of the country can still improve in any standpoint therefore still increasing the value of their fiat currency, just take a look at USA where there debt is one of the biggest in the world yet there GDP is big that it outweighs the debt they carry. This just show their ability to payback their debt and it doesn't diminish the value of their fiat because of it. Also your statement about how the fiat currency's value will decrease because of the "economy boom" is wrong because its actually the opposite of what will happen as it actually increases the value of the fiat currency because the financials will reflect on it.
1700  Economy / Services / Re: Recruitment for a BIG PROJECT on: November 17, 2019, 04:45:08 PM
If this was really a "big project" then looking online isn't the right way to first look for some important roles part of your project. You are mainly looking for developers in your project and I simply don't believe that working with them online and in different countries would simply result into a good output with what you want the communication and coordination alone could destroy the "big project" you have. So if I were hire someone close/near to you before you plan on something like look for the job posts online or if you are find someone that is close to you because the last thing you really want is to have devs far away from you which you barely even know.
