The orange lines are deviations from the blue line, showing probable bottoms and tops.
They converge to the blue line (volatility decreasing )

The short squeeze pushed price mismatch to late bull market "mania" levels before the blow off today,
we are still well above organic levels.

According to crypto news outlet The Block, the sell order on Bitstamp led to a liquidation of $250 million long positions on the BitMEX exchange,
which further resulted in price declines on other crypto exchanges.

As reported by crypto publication Forklog, the sell order on Bitstamp included 5,000 bitcoins sold at $6,200.
Some people in crypto community suggested that the sell order could be made by mistake, with the order’s owner having been meant to sell his bitcoin at $8,200 instead of $6,200.

Hacked New Zealand-based cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia has appointed David Ruscoe and Russell Moore from consultancy and audit firm network Grant Thornton New Zealand as liquidators. The news was revealed in an official Grant Thornthon announcement on May 15.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has fined blockchain author Alex Tapscott and his investment firm NextBlock Global over securities violations.

The SEC says that Canada-based NextBlock had been offering securities that were not registered with the SEC “in any capacity” and that false misrepresentations were made about the firm when soliciting investors. The agency has therefore ordered Tapscott, co-author of the book “Blockchain Revolution,” to pay a $25,000 penalty and also issued a cease-and-desist on further securities violations by him or his firm.

The SEC said it had taken into account the remedial acts “promptly undertaken” by Tapscott and NextBlock when agreeing the terms of the settlement. It also said that, following the firm’s payment of a 700,000 Canadian dollar (roughly US$520,000) administrative penalty, it had not imposed a further civil penalty on the company.
