2721  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: T17 ERROR FAN LOST on: July 30, 2022, 11:06:00 PM
In addition, the fan has 4 wires red, black, yellow, and blue

Red = Voltage inputs 12v
Black = Ground
Yellow = Speed Signal
Blue = PWM

If the Blue wire is not connected or has a connection problem then the fan will run at full speed but if the yellow wire is cut or no connection from the fan to the control board the controller will detect that there is no fan connected.

So if the yellow wire is disconnected even if you connect the fan to the control board then the error will come up like "error fan lost".
You can fix it by replacing the yellow wire or resoldering the yellow wire on the fan if nothing works then use a multimeter if the yellow wire or the terminal still has a connection or signal.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover btc old pc - Unistalled Client back in 2010 on: July 29, 2022, 11:39:10 PM
I saw the same issue in the keyhunter github saying you need to use python 2.7.3. I did that but same thing.

How about a lower version like the exact python version 2.7? Here's the link https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-270/

I can't find much about this recovery tool but it looks like it can recover private keys from accidentally deleting the wallet.dat.

Would you mind trying if you have an extra laptop or PC install windows 7 OS and then install python 2.7(Only do this if you still have a syntax error) to make sure keyhunter will work then put the image disk backup on that PC and try to recover it or make the HDD as your external and then run keyhunter.

2723  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mobile Wallet Android & IOS source codes on: July 29, 2022, 11:03:54 PM
Only two Android BTC wallets that I know but I'm not sure if they are using RPC API you can check this one below

It is Copay before since there are many fake copay wallets they remove the original open-source copay and push to this link for the open-source Bitpay wallet.

Another wallet is breadwallet check the link below

2724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coin, your bitcoins on exchanges are not insured on: July 29, 2022, 10:34:08 PM
That said of course the Best Practice is to keep the majority of ones coins in a safe custodial cold wallet and only have 'playin' around money' on an non-custodial exchange.

Electrum Coldstorage would be the best option or any offline wallet that supports seed/private keys generation. Without these backups, you no longer own your Coins.

Bitcoin non-custodial exchange is not widely used or does it seem they stop developing BTC DEX exchange?
I mostly see DEX exchanges in ERC20 and BSC networks but no one has yet developed an exchange where you can import a private key and start to exchange. There is Dex Binance before but it seems it's gone.

Some people in crypto may make the mistake of thinking that an exchange is a safe place for keeping their cryptocurrencies because some offer wallet services and they have big names, so they write off the importance of non-custodial wallets. While some who may be new to crypto may not really know the difference between a wallet and an exchange, hence they neglect it.

They do also afraid of a price drop which is why they want to stay holding coins in exchanges to make sure they won't lose so much if the price is dropping constantly.
2725  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [Help needed] Sha256 opencl kernel needed on: July 29, 2022, 10:05:52 PM
Thanks for your reply
i know it's ultimately no chance here , but consider me as a student or even a dreamer
the point is i would like to try , so i am trying

Actually, if you want to mine Bitcoin you don't need to study them and install any sha256 files because all ASIC machines right now are plug and play you just need to set up your miner's pool and it is ready to mine.

Better start reading this First time/Small miner reference for getting started.
Or if this is all about study purposes then I think USB miner Newpac or Compac F is your best option which is way cheaper than buying an Antminer s9 and above units.
2726  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX SMS Services for 2fa are down ? on: July 29, 2022, 04:35:40 PM
I'm using FTX exchange I don't experience this issue I tried to request an SMS 2FA code and I receive the code instantly without any email saying that SMS 2fa is down. The issue might be in your sim provider try other sims it might work or FTX 2fa SMS is currently not available in your country.

Why not switch to the 2fa app instead because this SMS issue is known problematic compared to using the 2fa app? Just make sure to backup the secret key.
2727  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [Help needed] Sha256 opencl kernel needed on: July 29, 2022, 03:46:56 PM
What actually trying to achieve?
It seems that you are planning to mine using GPU?
Take note that GPU is no longer support mining BTC.

Check this link

2728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good idea how to make profit on: July 28, 2022, 11:33:40 PM
Whales can manipulate the price but only for shitcoins but for Bitcoin, it can't manipulate the price a bit plus the combination of news but they can't totally control the price.
And it's not a good idea if you are feeding them $500k for a small information if when they are going to buy or sell.

Actually, it would be better if you learn how to trade because you can have more chance to make more profit in the future if you know how the market works and knows some trading strategy that can actually make a profit. If you are a newbie to trading then I suggest you read this source "Awesome Crypto Trading".
Then start learning FA and TA then test your skills in any trading simulator available from that link before you enter live trading. I'm sure you'll stop looking for whales to pay $500k for a small tip.
2729  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where are my bitcoins? on: July 28, 2022, 11:19:52 PM
I've removed it. In front of that transaction stoot a blue computer.
Does that means that the transaction has failed?

That transaction is local if it's blue not the green check, you can still able to broadcast the transaction if you want then just double-click that transaction and look for the export button at the bottom left and then copy to the clipboard and paste it to any pushTX sites.

You can paste the raw transaction to any of these below.

Now you can see that transaction live in any block explorer and you should see the transaction in your Bitvavo account.

Also, take note of the circle bottom right of the Electrum if it's green or red there might be an internet problem that causes your transaction to be created locally.
2730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Data Entry Problem on: July 28, 2022, 10:33:35 PM
I don't know exactly what you were talking about but I think you are trying to submit personal info or documents to the exchange.

Can you add more details about your issue and what exchange you are using?

Or if you are looking for no KYC exchange go to Bisq or any p2p exchange you can find here https://kycnot.me/
2731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: someone, please help! on: July 27, 2022, 11:47:02 PM
Bitcoin wallet for Android and Electrum both have a sweep feature, so as long as you verify that you are downloading the real version (in Electrum's case I believe they provide the APK which you can check the hash/signature against manually) there is not much that can go wrong.

I'm using the Android version of Electrum but it doesn't have any sweep option in settings I already check every button from wallets and addresses to settings but there is no sweep button.

What you can only do is create a new wallet under "wallet" where you can import your backup seed.

In this case, the sweep button is only available on the desktop version.

@Tim101

If you know the address where you want to send it you can make a watch-only wallet of that address(Make sure you have full control of that address) then sweep it wallet>private keys>sweep. This is an alternative suggestion from the above posts since the mobile version does not have sweep option you will need a PC to do this.
2732  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How did this Hardware work in mining bitcoin? on: July 27, 2022, 02:29:02 PM
The image looks like an ASICminer Block Erupter, not the newpac.
There are four USB miners that I know that mines Bitcoin the Block erupter, Newpac, Compac F, and Antminer U1 USB miner.

But I think only Newpac and Compac F are still available on the market.

If you want to talk more about these USB miners then check this thread GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread. It should be the right place if you want to learn more about this.
And take note like the above said it won't make any profit unless it's for study purposes or if you decided to mine solo for lottery.
2733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Looking for S19 Test Fixtures on: July 27, 2022, 02:00:50 PM
I already give you a link from your previous threads you should also notice the test fixture from ZeusBTC but if you don't know yet then check this Antminer universal chip fixture test fixture.

This support almost all Antminer units to test hashboard. And if you still asking for something related to repairing all you need is already on ZeusBTC so learn how to use the search button from their website.
2734  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where are my bitcoins? on: July 27, 2022, 01:43:11 PM
Are you talking about the lightning network where you open a channel and then later you decided to close the channel?

If this is what you talking about then better to wait for your funds to get refunded because it takes a while before you receive the amount you funded recently from LN channel unless if it is stuck the same happens to other users here?
2735  Local / Minerit / Re: It is worth buying uni miner Antminer S9i 14 THs Mined in 2022 on: July 27, 2022, 09:44:26 AM
Sometimes you need to use Google translator, not all users here using the same language.

Quote from: NNN05
Hello, I want to start investing in miners and I would like to know if it is worth it in 2022 to start with just one and if I can make a profit in the first month, I am tight with money. Undecided
Can I make a profit starting with a single miner besides paying the bill?
Thanks for the help

It depends on how much you buy that unit and what is your current electricity rate if you have an electricity rate above 3 cents you won't make any profit below 3 cents would still make you a profit but the ROI depends on how much you buy the unit.

I suggest use this https://www.mycryptobuddy.com/BitcoinMiningCalculator
To calculate your ROI and profit.
2736  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: July 27, 2022, 12:20:23 AM
I didn't know why you advised OP to put his money in Paypal since Paypal is a very strict company, we shouldn't trust any centralized exchange out there even though how big a company they are.  They're still prone to hacking or it becomes bankruptcy.

BTW, PayPal allows users to withdraw Bitcoin to external wallets anytime if you wanted to transfer it into your external wallet.  A hardware wallet could be the right choice because it has security features that can protect your wallet and never leave a footprint on any computers that you'll use.
That's good news if they are now allowed to withdraw and deposit Bitcoin in Paypal.
Paypal is founded in the year 2000 they serve customers for many years and it is proven trusted and it's a highly secure financial service.
Yes, it's centralized and regulated I just recommend the safest one and there is no 100% safest option hardware can be still hacked physically but it is less exposed to any online attacks.

I still choose the hardware wallet for holding coins for the long term but since he doesn't want to lose his investment due bankruptcy and hacked exchange and due to the unstable price of Bitcoin Paypal would be the best and safest option with instant exchange. You just need to sacrifice a bit of your documents ID and selfies to verify your account. I'm using Paypal to receive payment since 2009 I never experienced any issue with them except a few users trying to revert the transaction.
2737  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASICs mining hardware on: July 26, 2022, 11:47:16 PM
ASIC mining hardware is a machine that mines blocks and gets a reward depending on your shares.
Buying Bitcoin is totally different you are buying directly with Bitcoin but if you talking about investment and which one is better then it depends on the Bitcoin price movement.
Both of them will benefit you if Bitcoin is currently in the bull market but since Bitcoin is pretty stable these days you won't make any profit holding Bitcoins except by playing the ups and downs of the Bitcoin price(trading).
Mining with an ASIC machine will only give you profit if you are living on a low electricity rate or have a free power source.

If you are planning to start a small mining farm then I suggest you to read this first "First time/Small miner reference for getting started."
2738  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin tx hash keys and hash160 on: July 26, 2022, 11:38:07 PM
I don't know exactly what you are trying to achieve here but there are some Bitcoin tools that you can use to convert them to hash keys and hash160.
Not for TX(transaction) but for Bitcoin address/public key to convert them into hash160.

Here are the tools that I'm talking about below.

2739  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Steps to owning sats on: July 26, 2022, 11:07:32 PM
There is someone who wants to call those small fractions of Bitcoin into bits or mbits which is not the appropriate name for sats.

Actually, before I know Bitcoin I first earn sats from faucets until I learn that the sats or satoshis are the small units of Bitcoin.
There are other unit names like uBTC, mBTC, and kBTC but mostly we use BTC instead of them.
Better read more about Units and divisibility here
2740  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need Help with diagnosing 3 S19's with possible PSU failure. on: July 26, 2022, 10:41:23 PM
sorry all I have fixed the box issue. Yes I have tried all the standard stuff, I wish this one was that simple. Machines were cleaned but they may need an ultrasonic bath, looks like the previous owner didn't treat em too well. They didnt skip a beat till this weekend though.

What do you mean they didn't skip a beat? Are the miner is now running fine?

If you have a multimeter I'd like you to check the PIC chip on the hashboard if there is 3.3v supplying the PIC chip if there is no voltage or less there is a problem with other components not supplying enough power to your PIC chip.

I hope that you have some repairing tools you can follow this guide below
- https://www.zeusbtc.com/manuals/Antminer-S19-Pro-Hash-Board-Repair-Guide.asp

If you don't have repairing tools then your last hope is to hire a technician you can check this https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/ they do have a list of repair centers and maybe there is one near in your area.
