1741  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Temp lock Bitvest.io thread (prevent spam) on: February 15, 2023, 11:46:31 PM
If someone is wondering what happened with lightlord health check out one of his archived posts.

That post is year 2021 he is active until October 13, 2022 based on his account profile.

I guess it is likely the same as my friend fighting for his illness and now he is very thin and he looks like a skeleton and he can't able to reply and stay long with his phone I don't know what is the name of this sick but he said his lungs have water. So lightlord may be still fighting for his life but can't able to reply to anyone here due to his sickness.

@tranthidung

Have you tried to report those spam and spammers to moderators? The report button should work to tell exactly what you want about Bitvest thread and 777coin then let moderators decide but I guess they won't lock them unless lightlord is verified that he won't come back again.
1742  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommend crypto payment gateway for a small e-commerce site? on: February 15, 2023, 11:09:47 PM
What CMS do you use?

BTCpayserver is the best but the problem is you need to host it which is a bit expensive for a monthly subscription. However, you can run BTCpay with a raspberry pi and run it 24/7.

Alternatively, you can use blockonomics if your CMS is WordPress check the link below

1743  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum address beyond the gap limit on: February 15, 2023, 05:31:54 PM
when I want to open the wallet, electrum gives the error: can not read file/UnicodeDecodeError

It looks like this error is from opening a newer wallet.dat file to an older version of the electrum wallet make sure that you imported the right Wallet.dat file and make sure you downloaded and install the latest version of the Electrum wallet.

I just want to ask if your wallet is legacy because you can use a scanner tool like this one https://blockpath.com/wallets/local/101?action=appxpub

It only works to find wallet addresses with balance and to show the right derivation path you can then use it later to recover your addresses with funds.
1744  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: A true open source and clean firmware for antminer s9 and above. Bitcoin miners on: February 15, 2023, 02:29:45 PM
Here is a fork of Braiinos : https://github.com/xertSuns1/braiins

I didn't test it personaly, I stay with originals FW

Why use the pork version of Braiins OS than using the original one?
I don't recommend using unknown firmware or modded firmware by someone because there is a big possibility there is a hidden and high developers fee.
You can just use the Braiins OS without plus I think it does't have developers fee than using OS+.
1745  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 14, 2023, 12:00:46 AM
Your account was made in 2018 you should already know what wallets are safe or not if you feel that you are safe using that wallet then use it but recommending this unknown wallet so someone it's a big no for me.
If I recommend a wallet I always recommend a wallet which is already been tested by me and many people and it's alive since 2014 this is the year when I found those known wallets compared to HODL wallet that just recently heard from someone.

I checked their Github it seems there is no update anymore their last update is May 19, 2022 they are not active compared to Electrum.
1746  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PayWithMoon stops selling their visa cards on: February 13, 2023, 11:41:18 PM
Oh, it's bad news they recently tweet that "we are working to bring a new and improved Moon Visa Prepaid Card to the market as soon as possible."
but on the same date and time, they decided to stop selling their cards it's weird.
Their reason is the FTX accident and the other Crypto incident I guess that is the reason from their bank card issuer.

Anyway, those who bought cards recently they will get refunds just wait for their email for ongoing support.
1747  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is it worth buying this broken used Antminer S17 Pro? on: February 13, 2023, 11:14:00 PM
For me, it's not worth buying look at the price it's too expensive for 2nd hand unit you can able to buy a brand-new unit at that price in Canaan shop the price of a1246 unit is around $996 with a better hashrate.

You can repair that thing but it's worth it about the hashboard if still run the miner without the other hashboard it depends on the firmware because old firmware for this unit will let you mine with one dead hashboard.

About the 240v and 10A outlet, it's not recommended for this unit I think it should be above 15A or 20A for safety.
About chances of repairing it depends in your skill or I think 50% you can maybe repair them or replace the hashboard.

But I suggest better buy a brand-new one from Canaan unit which is cheaper with higher hashrate.
1748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 13, 2023, 10:39:07 PM
It seems that you downloaded a game called bitcoin miner or you might be downloaded an Android app from other sources because I can't find the exact name on PlayStore instead most of the bitcoin miner app out there includes cloud mining at the end.

I check most of the apps out there with that keyword and most of the reviews are negative or bad.

So you will never payout after 90 days and actually if you mine directly to the pool with real miner sample antminer s19 then the payout is instantly in your account until you reach the minimum withdrawal from the pool anytime you can request for withdrawal.

So any miner apps all of them are scam and beware to install them in your phone it maybe collect sensitive data from your phone.
1749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BIG ONE EXCHNAGE BEWARE PEOPLE OF THIS on: February 13, 2023, 10:23:40 PM
Where is your old number? It seems it's very hard for them to verify you if you are the actual owner without the old number since you never verified the KYC before(2020).

If you sent something before like an ID or video before then they could use it as a reference if you are the real owner.
If you didn't send something before that can verify you then you can't pass this where is your old phone number?

Anyway, I found this thread below it seems they do have bad reputation since before..

- Exchange Big.One scam. False trading volumes. Fake tournaments. Theft of prizes
1750  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is it wrong to try your luck with Solo on: February 12, 2023, 11:37:45 PM
What do you mean with 9 days and 1 day.
What is the diferent betwen solo pools viabtc vs. ckpool vs. solomining ?

I don't think there's a difference between them are you talking about solo mining with your node? Then it's not worth it if you only have one unit and unstable internet because the block you found might become an orphan.
Mining solo on both mining pools only takes 2% of the block reward that you mine plus transaction fees.
1751  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: February 12, 2023, 11:20:42 PM
~snip~

I would say the main benefit I have seen so far is the lower operating temp of the chips dialing back the power. Granted I am not sure how you can predict how much longer the rig would last at a lower power setting.

Have you tried Bitmain's low-power mode for the S19 series? I have seen some pretty impressive efficiency improvements with that latest power mode. I only have the one S17+ currently, debating on if I should buy another rig or just buy the bitty.

Like the above said it helps to increase the lifespan of your unit if you run the miner at LPM and it should improve a bit efficiency.

And about Braiins OS efficiency did you turn on the autotuning?
If LPM does not work then try manually setup the power and frequency from the braiins OS dashboard just make sure to read the documentation below and make sure to limit temp.

1752  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 power cord on: February 12, 2023, 10:58:33 PM
Why not try that 220v first and run the miner for a few minutes and check the cable if it's heating too much? If it's very hot then replace it with 110v I think you should down clock or remove a few hash boards from this unit because like the above said running it at 110v can melt a few wires and cables of your unit or the miner won't mine properly.
1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help address founds from Dns on: February 10, 2023, 07:48:49 PM
Debug.log is a record of all bitcoin core operations and errors.

So what exactly do you want to achieve?

Do you just want to check if the address you found from debug.log have funds?
Then use block explorer like blockchair.com and check if the address has a balance.

Take note the address that you found is just a public key without a private key you can't able to send BTC to another BTC address.
1754  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Disable Version-rolling AsicBoost on Miners? on: February 10, 2023, 07:37:39 PM
Thanks all for the input.

The m20/m30 series whatsminers seem to not have anyway to disable AB. As for S19 and the like it seems that there is no way to go without AB else the older machines seem to throttle down hashing by over 50%.

There's nothing we can do with Whatsminer units have you tried to contact their support and ask for older firmware? I think their old version doesn't have ASICboost yet.

About s19 have you tried to use Braiins as suggested above? You can able to disable AB but I don't think it throttles down the hashing to 50% it depends in your tune or just use auto-tuning and let the braiins set power and frequency for you while AB is disabled let see what's the difference if you enable and disable AB.
1755  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cover on FANS on HOTZone , Out FAN S19jPRO on: February 10, 2023, 07:25:32 PM
What exactly does your room look like and what places of your units?
Do you have any images to show the room and position of the whole rack?

We can't suggest if we don't know exactly what they look like.
Why not swap the power from your 2 first and 2nd rows to the 3rd and 4th rows since you said the company sometimes cuts the power? That's what I think would be the best option depending on their position or having an extra exhaust might work to bring the hot air out.
1756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with BNB on Metamask on: February 09, 2023, 11:57:00 PM
Do you know an exchange where I can buy bnb that supports paypal? Do you know an exchange where I can buy volt inu directly?

Can you list me a few exchanges?

If it's a debit card and already tried it on Binance and Moonpay but it doesn't work try this Coinex exchange here below
- https://support.coinex.com/hc/en-us/articles/900004670183-How-to-Buy-Cryptos-with-Fiat-on-CoinEx

And take note Coinex it is a partner of a well-known pool called ViaBTC pool and I was mining there and transferring my coins automatically to Coinex.

Other exchanges are Kucoin and OKX exchanges. About Paypal never heard that there is an exchange that supports this payment method.

If you want to see a list of Volt Inu exchange check this https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/volt-inu#markets
1757  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining on cryptocurrency. on: February 09, 2023, 11:09:55 PM
I get it cause their was one of the mining i was ask to pay certain amount before I could withdraw. But later on I find out that their was no way again to login.

What exactly is this website? It looks like a cloud mining site if you deposit there before you can mine?
Mining Bitcoin or other Crypto always required a hardware machine and connect them to the pool. If you are mining on Bitcoin pool it requires minimum amount before you can able to withdraw from the pool but on Altcoin/other crypto I think if you mine to the pool the mine coins should be directly sent to your own wallet.
1758  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Facility container or hangar / Staff / Monitoring questions on: February 09, 2023, 10:59:33 PM
I think the hangar is enough as long as the space is sealed and if you know how to filter the air in and hot air out with proper ventilation.

About staff I don't think you need many staff but I think 3 or 5 staff is enough.

About the app or tools to monitor them awesomeminer is known tool but there is a free one from Bitmain from this link below

- Antminer Monitor and Management tools
1759  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MonyCryp.com - SCAMMING Trading platform [WARNING] on: February 08, 2023, 11:47:46 PM
@BitMaxz even if they are getting some backlinks, all results will highlight clearly that they are a scam... I don't think it's the strategy of OP

Yes, it is highlighted as a scam here on the forum but since it's a backlink there is a possibility that the website can rank up on the SERP not here on the forum this won't rank up but it helps the website to index fast on the SERP and rank up.
That's a strategy of almost all scam exchanges and other sites so that it won't look spam.

TIKTOK PAID ADVERTISING

Well, tiktok is easy to manipulate there are lots of tiktok account sellers out there with followers so I guess you are attracted to the short videos they post.

I'm sorry but the only way you can do is to make a scam accusation against this website on this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
And thanks for editing your thread and removing the link of this website.
1760  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with BNB on Metamask on: February 08, 2023, 11:41:12 PM
Why not buy from another exchange instead and transfer it to your metamask account?

Can you tell us where you buy BNB that rejects your card? is it a credit card? if yes some banks do not allow buying Crypto so possible this is the reason.
I suggest buy Bitcoin through ATM maybe there is Bitcoin ATM near in your area then use Bitcoin to exchange it to BNB.

Use this https://coinatmradar.com/ to find them.

Have you tried the P2P on Binance they do support multiple payment method but it depends on where you live.
