I don’t know if this mistake is from those who introduced him to Bitcoin, but how can he invest in bitcoin without knowing how volatile the market is and weeping because of the first dip that’s comes, and besides that what happened to invest with what you can endure.
People should already know that bitcoin is too volatile, imagine it increase hundred of dollar in just days and thousands in months, anyone who see that pattern will know that bitcoin is an investment that is too volatile. It just that this bear season is too much to bear, yeah double bear for people who did what your neighbor did. Or those who let their instinct, "uh, it will go up again in next hours or a day, so I should hold a little moment", until, it's hard to let go, so holding will be the last thing to avoid the loss.
will
This is global, if people and your neighbor observe what had happen to the global market including crypto in the last few weeks (due to the war probably), people will had a glimpse what will be the possibilities that will happen next.
2742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching college students about Bitcoin on: June 15, 2022, 07:17:36 PM
What a great initiative, only few who can make this kind of effort to educate the young ones without getting compensated. I hope this will enlighten those guys why bitcoin is very important when it comes to privacy and financial freedom.
Teaching them the whole purpose why bitcoin is created as money, freedom and privacy  should be prioritize. Instead of you can be rich by investing bitcoin, because people only knows bitcoin is it's a store of value, a money scheme to make people rich and etc. It's the only meaning most people remembers what bitcoin is.
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 15, 2022, 06:55:17 PM
The fund was sent by one of the country's governments agencies but to be honest, the young man is the one to be blamed not the person that mistakenly sent the fund to him because he's not been honest from the beginning.
When received a fund that technically appears not to belong to him he has the right to seek legal advice or return the fund to the sender just some people samaritan will do but he chooses to lavish it all.
Well, it's easier said than done. You won't know people's choice when it comes to money only few will do it especially if it was sent digitally like nothing happened. Im not saying it's not wrong, actually it is, its just that human tempted to make decisions when it comes to money.

Like I said you can't fully blame the man alone, but also the one who send it, and this is japan, banks can reverse the transaction if it was really a mistake sending it to the man. But good thing we know his responsibility, and never tried to run but to pay it instead.
2744  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT!!! on: June 15, 2022, 03:53:48 AM
Here, arbitrage is to lure one into their scam exchange.

First, people try to pocket the difference, then bnax won't allow to withdraw unless you trade $25k, some may deposit that amount and their funds will get forever stuck, ie, scammed. Some may even do kyc (don't expect they will allow to withdraw) and that's double fucked.

Whatever social media you use, disable adding to groups by strangers from settings.

Other people also got scammed similar way, you can read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/stt0pt/bnax_exchange/

Should have searched before depositing there. Sometimes you get blinded by potential profit and don't give enough attention.. well that's how greed works.
Oh i see, thanks, I thought this bnax is somewhat reputable that's why i got confused.

But if op is claiming that the first trade is successful then the scammer risk some of its fund to get a huge caught, or just like how ponzi works.

Although, this seems a new thing but when it comes to telegram, people should be wary from people making noise and claim a too good to be true offers there, or even in any kind of platform to avoid such thing. Imagine it's a $25k, that's a huge amount sending to a random exchange with good offers.
2745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 15, 2022, 12:16:42 AM
now, I have a question, do you think the man is entirely at fault or someone should also be responsible?
He has fault to spending money that isn't for him.

But the article is lacking information, is the man have authority to receive the fund? Because the way he spent it is something  like a lottery that he won receiving on his bank account, only if he literally doesnt know he should receive it. If not, the authorities mistakenly sent it to him is at fault too and should be fires on his post.
2746  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT!!! on: June 14, 2022, 11:37:55 PM
I was so pleased with the return that I decided to invest all of my money in order to make a large profit, but I was unable to withdraw both my profit and my cash from the exchange this time. They require that I reach their institutional level, which requires a sum of $25,000. This is how I was scammed and lost my money.
My recommendation to newbies is to not believe everything they see on Telegram, especially when it comes to free money.
This is just a simple trade using different platform, well, yeah, how arbitrage work.

So the instructions came from telegram? You did a successful trade in the first place, right? Who are these "they" asking for 25,000? Why you lost your money? you sent the 25,000 to them? For what?
I'm confused, literally.
2747  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase to Lay Off 18% of Workers on: June 14, 2022, 09:55:29 PM
This is more or less expected, and it is not only related with Bitcoin crash, whole economy is like Titanic ship that is currently crashing, and I think this looks like it was intentional plan :/
People really didn't expect it will go down til 20k. But after the war broke and sanctions started to put on russia from everywhere, this began, not just crypto but the almost all market are affected.

While in the other hand, it's an opportunity to bought more in this dip.
2748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing strong! on: June 14, 2022, 09:27:38 PM
Holding is good, but not all the time, and not for all kind of people in crypto, sometimes it just only an alibi for didnt made a sell order and miss the opportunity to make profit.

If you bought bitcoin in the 40k range, holding it until 25k below is only your choice since you didnt made profit. So whats the best approach? Minimize your loss at selling 40k-35k range then buy near at 25-21k. You wont have an assurance that it will increase asap but it gives you hope that you will make more profit once it bounce back. Again hodling is not for all kind of people in crypto.
2749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First Post here: I hope this forum reignite my interest in bitcoin on: June 13, 2022, 11:54:16 PM
There are a lot to learn from here just depends what will you absorb. If your friend introduced this forum to learn then thats good to hear.

Let your questions be heard, but before asking questions make sure you already made a research on google on using the forum search about it coz it may be asked too many times and answered too many times.
2750  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to buy article/blog post with crypto/bitcoin ??? on: June 13, 2022, 05:57:03 PM
Get Blogger's contact and find crypto blogs on that article.
If you're up to something to recommend the websites on this list, I bet that its too hard to op to get a chance to interact with the people/writer of these websites to write one for his website. Coz they have a lot to charge as an established crypto writers or i say journals which I doubt op can afford for now.
Crypto writer asked higher rates too so OP should consider it to look up his budget, although there is fiverr, i just don't know if you will like the quality of content.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance gives more reasons to remain decentralized with bitcoin on: June 13, 2022, 04:33:25 PM
It's not a new thing, they been doing that to lesten backlog of transactions every now and then, not only bitcoin but also on other blockchains such ethereum.

On the "eye opener  to those using centralized exchange" thing, most people already knew that, but what, of course using centralized exchange that has large volume for trading purposes will always be the better choice if you want to trade and to make profit.
With this kind of market, people getting crazy not to sell their holdings, you won't use DEX and wait longer times before it got a buy order unless you dont need to, which you wont sell it in the very first place and will hodl it instead.

PX-Z

So bassacly I have lost alle bitcoins on my bitstamp account because I cannot document how I got the bitcoin? I cannot even rember how I got them.
Understandable, you could be one of the OGs in bitcoin mining  back those days. But its really an unfortunate for this kind of requirements. You can try to convince them that it is from you doing mining way back or any kind of doing you did those days, send them screenshots of the transaction, the address you used on the transfer to bitstamp. I hope those are still available to you.
2753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp Frozen account on: June 13, 2022, 02:47:41 PM
That's a big old mess. If you can't give what ever they asked, then sad to say they'll will just follow what's on their TOS or any kind what is best for them. Well, that is so unfortunate and frustrating. Why you just came back when there are lots of chance for you to get it~ talking about way back.
2754  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any online Ad network who accept crypto as payment?? on: June 12, 2022, 10:59:36 PM
Aside from different sites mentioned above, you could also try cointraffic, you can also apply for their press release publication so you can make more profit since its more profitable than waiting your earning just from the ads.
Although it seems like more profitable, joining there is seems a hard-like, just make sure your website has at least 10k traffic per month or so.
2755  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to buy article/blog post with crypto/bitcoin ??? on: June 12, 2022, 10:42:56 PM
I want to buy blog post, article for my blog. How to buy it with crypto ???How to hire freelancer with crypto Huh
If you own a website and someone have already messaged you for a post, you will found out their way of messaging, like asking to create a post and pay with something like paypal and payeer, or etc.
This is something you need to do, ask someone one the service section or any crypto-related blog you saw if they are willing to make an article for you and accept a payment of bitcoin with your pay rate. Many crypto writer will love to do it to stack bitcoin while it's still below 30k
2756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason why the bounty section is the worst and most spamming board on: June 12, 2022, 10:34:48 PM
Bounty boards are made for a purpose, you may categorized them spm, scam for alts and whatnot but they there for a purpose. If you are displeased about them, you can report those scam projects to scam accusation if you have spare time to do so or just ignore them just what above said.
2757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is It Possible To Build a HTML/CSS Kind of Table On This Forum? on: June 11, 2022, 11:59:23 PM
Unfortunately, there's no css implementation when making a post on a bbcode based smf forum, although it can be done but idk how theymos thought about it coz maybe it will break the looks of the website if css attributes is added. So far only the forum ads is applicable as a dynamic addition using css.
So bbcode with dashed is only the way like the sample above.
2758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the comparative advantage of Bitcoin over other blockchains? on: June 11, 2022, 02:00:17 PM
Blockchains is a public ledger who recorded any transactions and Bitcoin is using blockchains, it doesn't make sense comparing between Bitcoin with blockchains, similar like comparing an orange with an apple. The correct is comparing Bitcoin with altcoins e.g. shitcoins.
You must probably just read the title not the content.  It's the same way as bitcoin blockchain to others but reading the content its between bitcoin and alts.

Just like what already mentioned, its the security, security over other features is the most important. Bitcoin serves its purpose as a means of payment and now store of value. Other alts just have many useless features. Most of them are just made to make money and make the team behind richer.

2760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin is set with the launch of Bitcoin academy in Brooklyn? on: June 10, 2022, 11:59:32 PM
On another note — while this is getting positive attention from the Bitcoin/crypto community, a lot of the masses are definitely not happy with this. They're so mad as if Jay-Z and Dorsey are asking money for this. https://twitter.com/sc/status/1534921133199347712
There will be a side story for every things, the opposites and those who agree.

I have some concerns about the said academy;
  • What will they teach in the academy? Will they teach the original purpose and concept of bitcoin. Or they will rather use it to promote their personal brand and in the end it will become an investment scheme. We have seen similar academies that didn't live upto expectations.
Now, that's a bit advance claim, let them do it first before saying anything. Those who founded the academe knows a lot why their doing it, and they know how hype and negative things can affect someone business in crypto.

  • Who are the teachers or resource persons.
Check their website, they already have some list who have already names in the community.

Like any other academy you cant just hire someone who doesnt have any firm knowledge on what the academe stand for and what are subjects need to teach. This is not just a blog written by an amateur writer who was paid to write words about how-tos and whatnot.

In the grand scheme of things, it won't change much. You'd need thousands of Bitcoin academies across the world to improve Bitcoin education globally. And even then, it's not guaranteed to be a major success. It's not like there's a lot of people who want to learn about Bitcoin but can't - all the information is available on the Internet for free.
Com'on they just have their first step, why always get bitter for new things? Of course it needs lots of schools/academy to make it work, but when and how you will start? You cant just make lots of schools on your first attempt, you always need at least one to make it work.
