2741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: July 08, 2022, 07:23:06 PM
El-Savador has made its own choice which is pretty ok by them, the best idea is to set an investment first and wait for it future yieldings, there investment is on bitcoin and not on shitcoins, then i think they deserve i bow for this courage, no matter how down it may appears, it will still finds it way up the bullish trend soon.
Plus the total bitcoin investment of el salvador is just a mere x.xx% compare to its national net worth. If their authority is not worried of this dip (base on their recent updates) then that's it. People are really minding other people's business where in fact they dont share the same ideology at the first place.
2742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors and Whales Still Believe in Bitcoin, Big Purchases This Month on: July 08, 2022, 02:42:12 PM
"Still believe in bitcoin". Of course, they and all of us here should, if big companies and a country have the courage to invest bitcoin why not for smaller one if the whole point of investing is to get profit even in this current times Smaller ones just needs to learn that no need to hurry and avoid panicking when a sudden dump happens its part of the risk if so better to go traditional investments instead.
2743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin price important? on: July 08, 2022, 09:29:51 AM
i thought it was originally designed to just be a way to transfer digital cash in a decentralized manner.
Would you use bitcoin to transfer the so called "digital cash" in the very first place if it doesnt have any much price even at 1k. Even people are hesitant when it reaches to use bitcoin on that range.
In the other hand, people will use bitcoin everything what they want it, people doesnt see bitcoin now as a p2p way to transfer funds.
2744  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP exchange biased rule that chased users away on: July 07, 2022, 11:59:28 PM
Haha. That's insane. How come an inactive user should be charge, if this a damn thing then there should be an option to delete the account.
Since they are giving an option people to avoid them when they come back from being inactive then there should an option for that.

But the question is...who does leave their funds on an exchange that would lead to inactivity?
You dont know? People like to leave funds on exchange now a days, disregarding the fact it can vanish when hack happens. Yeah, people should, but most of us are lazy to that.
2745  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: July 07, 2022, 11:41:56 PM
If this is a source of income, then I will not take a break, you know why? because gambling could give you an unlimited income, and that would help me achieve my goal to retire early.
Or not. You or people may categorized it as a source of income but it wont give you a very stable income like what jobs usually do. And will end up rekt instead of earning lol.

I can't fully agree with your these words. Because I think gamble shouldn't take as the source of income or job of a man. Because it doesn't give you any assurance.  You can become rich in an instant or become a beggar of the street  in an instant.  And I think living a healthy normal life income source should be assurance and not just depend on luck.  Yes I gamble too but I play it for my entertainment not as my source of income
You don't really need to think about it, because gambling is obviously not meant to become an alternative for jobs or works.
2746  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 07, 2022, 03:09:52 PM
Quote
3000 BC – A pair of dice was recovered from an Egyptian tomb dating back 5000 years.
Can you provide the exact source link about this topic except for the current source which is Owldao.
Here's some specific article[1] that talks about dice's history too including this one mentioned by OP.

What i wanna learn is that How gambling become so addicting and what is behind this that the history when and where this started  Grin
I guess it is already in human nature, where human is greedy as f*ck since then. Greed to make money, well, everyone wants to be rich, since money is power even on those ancient times.

but what is the very Historic are the Gladiator days when people needs to die for others to earn and win from their bets and famousness .
People will do everything just to earn especially plebs in ancient times, even life is at stake. The same thing on this current times, like boxing or UFC, where most unfortunates always do in boxing just to earn money. Same thing people bets who will win from those who fight to death.

2747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC survive if encryption/cryptography becomes illegal? on: July 06, 2022, 11:23:33 PM
Asking rhetorical questions things like this will makes you looks like stupid. CRYPTOgraphy is the foundation of CRYPTOcurrency.

Gerontocracy problems ~ such proposals in any the government branch makes them look stupid. This why we need young ones in the government.

Encryption and cryptography is global, banning this will only result to chaos. If its done. Banks and internet will fall before they can solve their problems about cryptocurrencies.
2748  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: July 06, 2022, 11:09:48 PM
Thank you wiwo for the prompt intervention here. It is obviously a wrong statement to say people should all new gambling sites. This is because not all new gambling companies scam. If all gamblers avoid new gambling sites, how will they grow? It will mean that the old gambling companies will keep existing and then monopolise the gambling industry.

Just that anyone dealing with new gambling companies without reputation should be very careful till the company becomes trusted.
Monopoly in gambling is not a thing on this era though, very strong competition exists in this industry where gamblers can choose sites they like which is too many to mentions based on the games they like.

Due to strong competition most new gambling websites with effective marketing and stuff pose a threat to get rid the old sites which these old and existing gambling sites should keep on eye and make improvements and stuff to keep their business up.
2749  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 06, 2022, 10:54:14 PM
tl;dr

What i have in mind, soon as ancient people learn that they can trade things with their own value like barter, discovered gold and silver or other precious stones/stuffs, people start betting and learn gambling on their own way.

It's difficult to know things like this especially for a question of "when" for a timeline since its now a history, although the "where" like the origin of some form of gambling might be a little easier.
2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Despite the Price, Great things are happening in the Bitcoin Ecosystem on: July 06, 2022, 12:21:37 AM
It's pretty normal. Upgrades, BIP, or authority related laws/bill will undergo no matter what's the bitcoin situation related to its value whether its om bear or bull market.
But its pretty assuring if upgrades done in bear market like this to at least increase the community's hope despite of the lost in this bear season.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker claims to have stolen 1 B records of Chinese citizens, demands 10 BTC on: July 05, 2022, 11:59:14 PM
Just baffling though that the hackers is asking for just 10 BTC? Maybe he thinks that asking for me, the Chinese government or whoever agency is not going to pay him?

And let's say he did received his ransom, how can he hide it?
It wont change the effect if they really pay the hacker, its a digital copy of the personal information. They will only lost twice the cost if they pay.

What they only need is to enhance their security and practice to avoid something related to inside job. And relay things to others institution to get trace the hacker.
2752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 05, 2022, 11:47:14 PM
Well, it doesnt change the fact that he got lucky on that day he go to casino. So luck really will cost a fortune in an instant way  while he did is all about hardwork and determination after why the company still exist and get profit.

This is the same for sweepstake lottery winner, become 1 day millionaire then become poor if money is managed poorly after or become more rich if did the opposite and work for it.
2753  Other / Meta / Re: Issues With The Forum's Search Engine on: July 03, 2022, 02:21:53 PM
I will just call it search function than a search engine.

Anyway, i guess this is related to forum search query as the server cannot get the data from the search keywords until it timeout and shows error from cloudflare.

Solutions i think are:
- for easy fix, limit the characters in the search box
- limit the search result and show an error message that there's no result found so it wont timeout just like what cloudflare show.
- enhance the search query (idk how to do it)

This is just my idea, im no expert as im just currently learning web programming.

2755  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: 1xBit advertised on Mycelium on: July 03, 2022, 08:23:45 AM
I recently used mycelium and i disabled almost everything seen on the "external service" coz what i need is the only wallet feature that's why i didn't see this update.

Do you think that Mycellium does not know that 1xCrap is a scam? Or they just turn a blind eye and take the money?
Business will be business as long as money is envolve.
2756  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have an undo button for comment and post editor? on: July 02, 2022, 02:11:44 AM
This is helpful especially using mobile phones since there's no way to undo stuffs unlike on desktop browsers you can just ctrl+z for windows, idk how undo-ing in other OS.

2759  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for perfect slot base casino on: July 01, 2022, 05:01:34 AM
I dont know if there are still crypto gambling website that offers only one kind of game, say slots. It's only a thing in the past, as gambling websites evolved and the competition grow stronger. Although there are still old gambling websites that runs only a single game its because of many reasons why they survive but not all of them as other shuts their service and other adds other games.

To keep the business running owners have to adapt what what is good for the business. That's why you see lots of games added like stake, BitStarz, Slots.lv, mbit, 7bitcasino, etc.
2760  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 25$ on: June 30, 2022, 11:46:53 PM
I always feel pity for those newbies who got scammed from known scammers — already tagged but not from dt.

The op is correct when he says he cant see the other negative feedback aside from him because it hidden by default, need to click the "show rating" first.

Even though the people saying that the forum dont moderate scams but it somewhat working for it just selectively, there is the flag well, old users only knew that not newbies.
And why dont @theymos make that "show rating" link removed and make it default to show those  untrusted feedback.

This is not the only first time it happens when newbie got scammed coz of not seeing those feedback. Then here comes those members blaming op coz he was scammed like it his fault completely, it might be somewhat true, but you dont need to repeat it again and again like you're siding to the scammer.
