1841  Other / Meta / Re: Why are account farmers still left to roam free in the forum? on: January 09, 2023, 11:39:53 PM
Because they are free to do it, but it doesn't mean decent members and the forum doesn't care.
Later on maybe we will see the seller or the accounts that on sale will be exposed on reputation board as i remember one of the scam buster member did this lol.
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 02:37:21 PM
Gambling token for long term? Never had a proof that it take much longer or as for long term investment. I knew a gambling/casino who build their token yet after a year or two this bring them down or the other way around, many issues appeared, etc.
I'm not saying that every casino who build their own token is subject for their downfall or so, it's just that its my less priority or not at all when talking of holding coin for investment.
1843  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best crypto news is here on: January 09, 2023, 01:49:54 PM
These are my list of trusted news source for bitcoin news, some of them are mentioned already since these are the popular ones
- CoinDesk
- CoinTelegraph
- Bitcoin Magazine
- Forbes
- Fortune

Don't just focus on one or two of them, when there's a trending news/headline, always use google and on different sources. Don't be fooled a press release on a news because most PR are clickbait.
1844  Other / Meta / Re: Turn off warn for new replies made while posting on: January 09, 2023, 04:44:56 AM
This looks like a How-to/Educational/Guide thread which i think this suits more in the Beginners & Help board instead here in Meta. Though i'm surprised knowing someone a Legendary rank doesn't know this feature (post above) yet.

For me, turn off the new replies isn't good because posting in this forum isn't a competition to create the fastest post, you're need to create a high quality post and if there's user who beat you above, it mean you need to review his post and if he wrote something wrong, you can correct it.
Well, i turned it off for several years already, you can just edit your post when someone made a new reply or answering the same question your going to make to avoid repetition of post/answer.
1845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need advice about a new BTC/Crypto based website! on: January 08, 2023, 11:15:30 PM
You can include your site URL on the OP and ask for recommendations. Community feedback will always be a important coz it's your potential clients/users.
Many services who accept community suggestions and take criticism always stands longer than any other, well, "bussiness focused, but people centric"
You can call it pre-launch promotion just like posted above,
1846  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinballer - An open-source multi-player Bitcoin gambling game. on: January 08, 2023, 10:57:25 PM
This will be more on testing, user experience than a review.

First impression: the site is so simple yet confusing. People will get puzzled, what is Coinballer? Because the first page or home page doesn't look like the site is a game or gambling. I need to access the About page first but no help for what is the game is all about.

Rules Page
The rules is something lacking and still confusing, a step by step of How-to start a game or how the game works with images or videos will be good addition.

New game page
Errors should be emphasized like having a red font color or background color is better.

About page
About page should explain and define what is Coinballer, what is the game is all about, the advantage of playing on the site, the difference of coinballer to other gambling site, etc.

Again, i will ask to add these pages as i still cannot see it on the site, such as Terms, Privacy policy, Faqs, Contact (optional), as these pages are important and some question and doubts should be catered.

Gameplay
Asking someone's wallet ddress before creating a game is a backward move for me, this will take time and realization of why should i play with user xxx if he can beat my ass since i only have this xxx bitcoin. Lol.
But this also prove how relentless someone is when the game started (when participants deposits)

The waiting of x confirmations always be setback when sending bitcoin, currently, waiting 5 block confirmation from 6 is still a long time to wait. Many gambling sites offers a 1 confirmation time deposit already. Implementation of lightning will be a good addition too, like giving option for lightning wallet to users other than the native wallet address.

I don't like the idea of sending the same amount of pot to the >1 winners, when the fact that you deposit the most (well, i deposit the most in game 21  Grin). There should be a ratio of amount for the highest bidder, to the lowest if there are >1 winners.

Conclusion
The idea of the game is unique, this prove how blockchain can be used such game/gambling like the lottery of guessing the end digit of a block.
But the game is not really fun for me, its indeed time consuming when more gamblers like the instant results except for sportsbetting. Well, considering this is based on bitcoin blocks, so users should understand about this game first before proceeding.

Lastly, for those users of "first impression last" updating the UI to modern look should be prioritize.
1847  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk table formatting issues on: January 07, 2023, 10:59:46 PM
Why not use hr tag? But don't include it inside the tr or td tag or it will be limited like that on your screenshot. Which i guess is the issue when using a table. It has limits especially if you are only using a few tr td tags
Code:
[hr]

Just like this below, and it looks fine imo.
Code:
[table]

1848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Real Cryptocurrency Casinos on: January 07, 2023, 06:54:36 PM
For obvious reasons, as you are very active here, i will assume that you already know these casinos who have signature campaigns here so there's no need to mention them including my signature (Coinplay). Upon checking google I found this site/blog[1] list of casinos who are accepting bitcoin, there are lot of them including those who have good and bad reputation in this forum. But i found these list below as worth mentioning for this "real" crypto casinos you are looking

Never tried duckdice, but both of them have ANN thread here.

1849  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Poll] What are the safest platforms? on: January 07, 2023, 05:22:15 PM
I'm currently and only using kucoin, it's the only exchange that i'm using beside the local one in my country.
Well, there's no kyc requirements there, at least for now, so I can say i'm trusting them for exchanging purpose. Note that i'm not holding my funds there, i just use it for its purpose, all is stored in my custodial wallet.
It's the same in every top exchange — only use it for its purpose, to exchange not to hold and alternative for wallet.
1850  Other / Meta / Re: Can not quote to a post on: January 07, 2023, 04:40:34 AM
You probably ignored the altcoin discussion board that's why it says " is no longer viewable by you."
As i can quote the post after checking this thread but when i tried to ignored the board, i encounter the same message you posted.
Although, i think the "is no longer viewable by you." should be changed because you can literally view the thread as you can access it.
1851  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First Exchange to Bite the Dust in 2023, Juno on: January 05, 2023, 11:43:36 PM
“Due to uncertainty with our crypto partner, we have taken preemptive action in the interest of our customers,” it wrote, adding it’s also actively reaching out to customers to ask them to self-custody.
This is very unfortunate, closing their business because of too much relying on its partner due to its uncertainty of whatever reasons it is. We're just talking a single partner here that cost too much (closing) for the business.
Well, good thing they care to their users and announce before its doom.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coin_trader slot experiment to determine my luck on: January 04, 2023, 11:21:07 PM
The same experience to mine on playing dice, but mine is once in a week or after 5-6 days of inactivity then play again after. I don't know if this in their algo or just pure coincidence but with the same statement from other users, im starting to wonder why, lol.

- watching this threads for OP's updates.
1853  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fryx Finance - An open-source Monero/Bitcoin exchange with %0 trading fees. on: January 04, 2023, 10:47:05 PM
I see that you need to add many things to the exchange, for example the price of Bitcoin and Monero because it is constantly changing as you know, also it would be good to add price charts.
It would also be nice to add the possibility to connect the hard wallet and make the exchange with the wallet directly.

Your site is currently not like a decentralized exchange, and it is not like a P2p exchange either.
As mentioned above, OP wants more the integration of its platform to get used as a partnered exchange other than to get used as an actual exchange. So these features are not necessary.
For the time being, more information on the website on How-to to get things done is the most important. Also, making it more looking descent i mean your UI can attract partners. Of course, the most important is functionality of being as a partnered exchange.
1854  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm starting an exchange | Need some help with features/ideas on: January 04, 2023, 10:28:02 PM
So this is just another instant exchange? Do you require KYC? Doe fees varies from coins to coins, OR just depends on you, OR it depends on the partner exchange?

KYC and fees are the ones that concern users why they choose to use an instant exchange instead on traditional cex, so what your take on this.

Btw being an open source is a good decision too. Also, welcome to the forum.

And what if I want to send from another wallet? Am I excluded because only 1 of my wallets are registered or not?
It's a good question, but unfortunately the instructions are incomplete, so I'm not sure if the address the funds are sent from matters or not. It's possible that it doesn't matter, but without more information, it's hard to say for certain. The only way to know for sure might be to try it and see what happens.
It does not matter if i understand correctly, since the winner will be identified on what betting address has the most balance in the end on the set block.
So anyone can send btc on the betting address and winner will receive all the sent btc from all of the betting address (or from anywhere else) minus the host fee to the winners payout address.
This is all assuming since there's no rules mentioning that its not allowed.
1856  Other / Archival / Re: What casinos are safe on: January 03, 2023, 11:26:48 PM
For me, the safe casinos in crypto gambling are the only ones you can find here in this forum that ran signature campaigns, especially those that are still active today
Not necessarily. Many crypto companies used to promote their services on this forum via signature campaigns then they exit scammed. Some still have an active sig campaign although we all know they are scammers. If you are going to rely on this then better judge based on the person managing the campaign, if he is a reputable member and an experienced manager then chances are low that he would accept to cooperate with a scam company/project.
I bet he is referring to those campaign who are still active today from running a long time. And yes, managers has a lot to do with it, reputed managers temporary stop or just end the campaign when there is a huge scam accusation against the advertised company.
But users experience and current reputation of a casino should be the one that future users should see and check to avoid inconvenience and future problem.

1858  Other / Archival / Re: Mining Slots for Genesis Mining on: January 03, 2023, 01:36:49 PM
So cloud mining is still a thing, ha. I wonder users from this forum will still be interested on such stuff. Especially for genesis mining which is obviously a waste of time. Never had an ROI there even for how many months of waiting. Probably only those who can refer other users is the only thing you can make an ROI.
1859  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos is living the high life; BitcoinTalk is inaccessible without JavaScript on: January 03, 2023, 01:05:03 PM
I'm not sure why you need CloudFlare when the profit from advertising is more than enough to rent entire serve racks.  Is BitcoinTalk's revenue being siphoned off?
That would also not surprise me.
The implementation[1] of cloudflare is to fight with DDoS, that's why javascript is required, besides the forum doesn't serve ads anymore.
Also, read the reasons on the linked thread why he implemented cloudflare even though he hates it, also the reason why he didnt implement/maintain forum's own ddos protection.

1860  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Get A Anonymous Crypto Debit Card | KYC-FREE - CoinPayCard.net on: January 03, 2023, 05:28:00 AM
First of all, as it is a service thread, there might be a few negative comments and you may delete that negative comments. Why you posted such a self-moderated topic?
It’s to prevent off-topic replies. If there was any negative feedback we would do everything to resolve them instead of deleting them. As you may know, you can also see all deleted messages in history. This topic has no deleted messages.

Honestly, self-moderated topic is not a big deal now it was made for a reason. Deleted replies can be seen on the ninjastic.space's archive[1], anyone who has an issue regarding of deleted replies on specific thread can create a separate thread on reputation board or even on scam accusation.
