1801  Other / Archival / Re: Selling for recovery 1.35 BTC on: January 22, 2023, 11:55:43 AM
I lost access because the Yobit exchange changed the BTC deposit address, which was my wallet password.
Really? Every transaction has a record of wallet address either the receivers or the sender address or you can check on the receiving wallet. Your reason is mind blowing and why you're going to sell it.
Same like other newbies who are selling core .dat files here who are just trying to scam.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Basra Stadium Stampede (football match). on: January 21, 2023, 11:39:18 PM
This is the worst nightmare that could happen in a huge event like this. That's why i'm always hesitant to go to an event where huge crowd gatherings. I remember last halloween in Seoul where hundreds had died due to stampede as well, although its not a sport event.

For an event like this organizers had the most responsibility make things peace and order. If there were to blame then they should be responsible for this.
1803  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Stack wallet for mobile? on: January 21, 2023, 11:18:33 PM
Never heard and tried this wallet before. Also i never used an open source multi crypto wallet before unlike coinomi and trustwallet which are opposite, or I guess there is no open source multi crypto wallet yet so this should be a must to try.
1804  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 21, 2023, 04:09:52 PM
To be honest with you, that doesn't surprise me. After CZ tweeted in 2022 about a post that was made in this forum 13 years ago or so I concluded he has an operational account here. If not, how did CZ remember such a simple post that wasn't even elaborate.
I don't remember seeing that tweet. What post did he share? Since it was a post from such a long time ago, he might have seen it elsewhere on the internet in some references about historical bitcoin-related news or something. It wouldn't be that unusual.
Maybe he is talking about this one[1] although the timeline is messed up, but he only retweet it, not tweet it as his own.

So CZ having an account here might not be 100% true, forum posts are public and this forum is known where bitcoin history is written all over the boards.

1805  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum improved Payserver plugin by ChatGPT on: January 20, 2023, 10:54:20 PM
I found this tweet earlier today. I don't know how true this post is and if there should to be worry about talking about chatGPT in programming space.
I just want to ask coz this sounds like sarcasm to me lol.

About the improved payserver, well, that's all good to me though.

1806  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling discussion board needs a child board? on: January 20, 2023, 10:39:40 PM
I believe adding a child board namely Slot, Table Games, Sports Betting and other gambling types will make the discussion on that board more organized and easy to distinguish for all the gamblers. Gambling discussion board is already flooded due to signature campaign requirements. What do you think about this suggestion?
It will be a whole lot of child board there is this will be considered knowing there are lots of games, and its pretty useless imo. So far that board is fully controlled by the mods assigned there, i see lots of locked thread for some generic thread questions about games and etc.
1807  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 20, 2023, 10:21:56 AM
Unfortunately i cant see google search page ads due to adblocker. But my guess it shows not because it targets bitcointalk users or any related to bitcointalk but the word "bitcoin".
1808  Other / Meta / Re: Delete my account on: January 19, 2023, 05:43:11 PM
Hi,
I want to delete my account
It's not possible. The easiest way is to delete all your 3 posts, forget this account and move on.

Bitcointalk is not GDPR compliant and not based in EU so they don't have any jurisdiction over this site.
1809  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 04:33:29 PM
In our local board. A local exchange in my country coins.ph blocked a deposit that came from casino. It’s not directly from campaign payment but he send the funds from his wallet to casino then send the balance from casino to exchange wallet which caused the problem since our local exchange refunded the balance to the sender wallet which is the hot wallet of the casino.

I know that this is somehow related to your concern since you are assuming that funds from campaign is came from casino. I believed some exchange doesn’t allowed deposit came from casino balance since some of their address is sanctioned by exchange.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5423879.0
The linked thread is not related to casino to exchange transaction but it was from yobit to coins.ph transaction which was a russian based exchange and the wallet is considered as sanctioned wallet address although coins.ph also prohibits such transaction (casino to coins).
I replied on how coins.ph can refund his coins including the required details and where to send the details, but looks like it was ignored by OP for some reason.
1810  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Iancoleman users I want answers on: January 19, 2023, 03:58:16 PM
There is nothing stopping malware already on your device from altering what Ian Coleman will display, or saving anything you enter to file and transmitting it to an attacker next time you connect to the internet. At a bare minimum, you should use a live and amnesic OS such as Tails as Loyce has described above. Better still is to use it only on a permanently airgapped device which has been formatted and had a clean Linux OS installed.

I would also note that in general using any website which relies on Javascript is a bad idea for generating entropy. Ian Coleman (airgapped!) is useful for exploring a pre-existing seed phrase, checking different derivation paths, etc., but I would never suggest using it (or any other website, even if airgapped) for generating a wallet.
This might sound as an excuse but how you people suggest this to non-techy person using bitcoin/crypto who only wants safety to his coins, obviously most doesn't know how to use and setup linux OS, or doesn't have extra device for airgapped option. If most are not that techy, then does it mean more are prone of hacking for lacking of this security measurements. Or simply said that bitcoin and crpyto is just for techy people. Because if this is the case, then its one of the reasons why most people use exchange and other regulated user-friendly platform instead than learning the technicals.
1811  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Head shaking news. Founders of Coinflex and 3Arrows will start a new exchange! on: January 19, 2023, 10:57:31 AM
Is it enough to say "only stupid investors will invest this coming exchange" and "I just hope that people won't trust them anymore" or we need a clear-cut policy that prevents GTX and the like to even start.
If these scumbags successfully filed a bankcruptcy protection then probably they have still on their sleeves for another round.
That's why investors should be wary to invest again to whatever kind of projects of these two. Better just to avoid them.
1812  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 10:43:45 AM
Never did. Although, i always use my non-custodial wallet to send to the exchange not directly from any platform (e.g. gambling) to the exchange, for prevention purposes.

What i actually think the reason why you ask this is because you are in a mixer campaign, well, same as mine.   Tongue

We will see then when i receive the payment from the campaign since it will be directly from coinomize to my non-custodial wallet then to exchange later on.
1813  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Head shaking news. Founders of Coinflex and 3Arrows will start a new exchange! on: January 18, 2023, 11:33:25 PM
Wow, after the mismanagement of their old company they still have guts to do this. Only stupid investors will invest this coming exchange they are trying to make. I don't even know if they settled all of their old company's creditors before doing this stupid move.
1814  Other / Meta / Re: Why the forum keep deleting my old posts? on: January 18, 2023, 07:47:10 PM
It just matters if a moderator has directly clicked the delete button on one of your posts, as opposed to removing a thread, where you wouldn't get a notification.
You mean if mods don't click the delete button but the post is considered as removed/hidden, then mods just use move button to the trashcan?
Also why this is not added in the modlog when the post is considered as deleted/removed, this may help other bots such as tryninja's to notify users when post/topic are trashed since there's no notification via PM happens.
1815  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Auction house looking to add crypto payments on: January 17, 2023, 11:40:15 PM
we would like the crypto transferred into fiat and we would like the option to accept more then just Bitcoin. We have IT guys working for us so anything that needs to be configured wont be an issue. So what would you suggest when it comes to these commercial options? which one has the lowest fees and at least a few cryptos to choose from.
Check the link i have shared[1], these are the processors who require business kyc information and have the option to convert crypto to fiat, most of accept multiple crypto payments, fees just <=1% per transaction. A
I seconded Coinbase and Bitpay too for the list.
You can included coingate, coinspayments, these two have ann thread here iirc.

1816  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Iancoleman users I want answers on: January 17, 2023, 03:57:08 PM
I was warned a few times on this forum not to type my recovery seed into any online website
That's right, except for the correct platform.

Now regarding the Iancoleman website, all of the inputs above about this site is true. This includes all the famous open source third party tools regarding wallet address generation (HD, paper,.QR, etc.), seed to private keys extractions, seed to x/y/zpub, etc. This includes bitaddress.org should be used on your offline device to avoid getting compromised, it should always be "prevention is better than cure"
1817  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Auction house looking to add crypto payments on: January 17, 2023, 03:25:57 PM
Check this list[1].

Suggestions:
If you want, any to avoid any kind of restrictions, holding of payments for some reason, waiting for weekly/monthly payments, fixed/dynamic fees, in short any kind of problems towards the processors, use self-hosted payment processor such as BTCpay Server.

Well, since self-hosted processor requires development, and probably will take time to develop which is a bit an issue to others for some reasons and choose those payment processor services that require fees per transactions then i'll suggest blockonomics and coinpayments.

Others:
I never experienced other processors yet (including btcpay server but its the most recommend one so i include it) other than what i have mentioned above so i cant say about them.

1818  Other / Meta / Re: Why is grimace emoji not available as topic message icon? on: January 17, 2023, 11:31:24 AM
Because you can't, i tried to create a topic in the latest version of smf[1] which is v2.1.3. Emojis that can be used on topic message icon on the latest version is still the same on this old smf forum software, unfortunately.

1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & China time to time waving History on: January 16, 2023, 11:18:47 PM
I am still not sure how China sees bitcoin in the future. The community is still hopeful.
China won't uplift its ban in bitcoin and cryptocurrency anytime soon, this might be a forever ban knowing it's China. They will make everything their people do in controlled, that's why they create their own version almost everything on the internet so Chinese will use them instead. This include the implementation of crypto and blockchain.
That's why i see no good future of bitcoin on China.
1820  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can any one set up a Blockchain Court of Justice ? on: January 16, 2023, 10:56:33 PM
non government Blockchain Court of Justice, where any one and every can cast their verdict as Jury  after reading the case submitted by the Victims.
Sounds like it will be chaos and manipulation will be a big factor to that system.
Even a person accused without enough evidence is already judged in socmed where keyboard warriors and misinformation exists how much more on such system.
Also, this is legal talk and not everyone understand the law, so if the vote casts are from lawyers it might work for legal purposes, but it can't be called decentralized and anonymity is not a thing on that system.
