1821  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best exchange in the US? For bitcoin on: January 16, 2023, 03:21:36 PM
OP should only use Coinbase, the leading US exchange, or can choose Binance.us, the US-specific product of the world's largest exchange Binance. If I were in the US, I would use coinbase, I find it the safest.
There are lots of negative reviews regarding user experience on binance.US, aside from its not available on all states, it has bad support .
I agree coinbase is the most popular exchange on the US imo, but not every user doesn't have the same experience so expect a little bumpy road ahead.
1822  Other / Meta / Re: How many forum members do you know by real name? on: January 15, 2023, 06:19:38 PM
I knew some before but since i care someone's privacy so i choose to call them by their forum username instead of their names when we are in contact, and probably forgot their names in the process .

1825  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Primary Purpose (Advertising or Gift) on: January 14, 2023, 01:37:09 PM
although they will accept those who have high quality posts and we can say that Bitcointalk celebrities .x
Yes, most campaign managers will accept those users who are more trustworthy this include those staff, mods, escrow, high rated profiles, campaign managers as well. These are more like hiring influencers in the campaign to get more possible views and drive to the campaign/service that is advertised.
1826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Primary Purpose (Advertising or Gift) on: January 14, 2023, 09:52:59 AM
While signature campaign is primarily designed for business/service to create an advertisement and exposure to this bitcoin/crypto forum. The signature campaign manager is there to let the posts made by the participant is more on quality > quantity. That's why there are rules to be followed.

Although you might notice some campaign just accept spammers and let its participants spam, the community always discourage this kind, members usually give neutral to negative feedback to those who are considered as spammers.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 12, 2023, 11:24:50 AM
But not sure why gambling is the number one activity that this guys went.
He usually stream different games never saw him do gambling before. But on his apology letter he told that it begins on one sponsored stream on the gambling platform.
looks like he does have a pretty good community and he must have been a good guy for people to actually feel that way about him after what he did, and it is good that he is looking for help to treat his gambling addiction.
Yes, because that he really is before he got this scandal. But no matter what the community tells he should take the consequences of the action he did. There's no mentioned amount of how much did he get from the investors but that should be millions he need to refund to his investors or its jail time.
1828  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 90% of India's largest crypto exchange funds are in Binance wallet on: January 12, 2023, 04:51:48 AM
If binance falls, there will be something like a Domino effect for sure! How come an exchange is custodian its funds in another one?
Most probably, look how market become so affected on FTX incident. Binance as the leading platform here in crypto space with so many sub-company, partners and stake to other companies. Imagine if a hack with a large scale happened, or worst. lol
1829  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet crash on: January 11, 2023, 11:17:11 PM
I have tried several times writing to trust wallet as they replied me it is beyond what they could comprehend.
Yes, because you have fully control your funds and its beyond their control, closed source custodial wallet or not. This incident wont happen if you have your backup seed save somewhere safe.
This should serve you a lesson, no matter how safe and secured your wallet is if you don't remember where your backup seed is, its the same story.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 11, 2023, 10:28:18 PM
he is lucky that most of the people in his community are somewhat sympathetic to him and is being considerate of their comments on his Twitter (at least according to the article) but I'm pretty sure someone will take him to court for what he did despite him regretting what happened.
Yes you will find this on his twitter handle[1], those are the followers who followed him for many years coz he's not the guy who really something into gambling and become a gambling addict. Because what he only mostly do is stream games but the worst comes, and he should faced it.

He doesn't deserve to hold any funds after this. He clearly has no self-control at all and is easily tempted by the amount of money that he has on his disposal.
Yeah, after this incident, every potential investors will doubt his credibility now. This guy is not actually what he is, before the addiction. He give thousands of money like 5k to 10k to his followers/viewers, got his reputation, build a company, make money into it, them boom. Destroyed because of addiction.

1831  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 11, 2023, 03:36:46 PM
It looks to me like an ordinary casino site. If you have created it on your own from scratch then hats off to your efforts.
But you must provide something unique to it so that users can get attracted to it. Right now there's nothing unique on the site.
I'm not sure why you're looking for something special or unique. I may not have played in as many crypto casinos as you but probably enough to say that games are pretty much the same even among long-time gambling platforms. Most of them only differ in game design and promotional offers.
Indeed. There are unique gambling sites pop up recently, but still lot of complaints because of whatsoever people wants like its confusing if people needs a unique casino game or what. Enough to say that most gamblers are into the promotions, extra bonus, and reputation of a casino, kind of games can be the last option. Talking about how unique a casino doesn't mean it can attract users, its all about the reputation.
1832  Other / Meta / Re: Why my thread is locked? on: January 11, 2023, 09:57:52 AM
There are so many open discussion thread related to football on that board. If every sports discussion thread have its own sub-discussion thread for injuries, or whatever particular sub-topic it is, then that board will get more and more spam posts.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 11, 2023, 09:36:05 AM
Quote from: gamblingnews.com
DNP3 confessed to having gambled away all investors’ funds, the result of debilitating gambling addiction which forced him into desperation. DNP3 said that his addiction began unexpectedly, and it quickly took a hold of him.

DNP3 confessed to having spent all money he could find on a popular crypto gambling brand, chasing elusive big wins. “Even when the big wins did happen it wasn’t enough,” the streamer said. He admitted to having lost everything – including not only the investors’ funds but also his own savings.
I knew this guy because i followed him on twitter on his philanthropist activities on the platform also on twitch, that was a year ago, i guess. And was surprised after reading this news.
The act of using the investors funds without their consent is illegal in any way, worst if you gamble it all.

Well, when gambling addiction hits you, no matter how rich or poor you are, this will be a possible illness to every gambler. That's why gambling moderately.

I just read this news which has posted few days ago but never saw this topic on gambling related boards from 1-5 pages. Let me know if there's an existing discussion related to this so i can lock this instead.

1834  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽🎮🎲 Coinplay.com | Brand New Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: January 10, 2023, 11:08:55 PM
...
I thought most of these complaints have been an issue of the past. One surprising fact about these compliants as I see it now is that, its often from newbie accounts. Why is that?
Are there no ranked up users playing on the casino and sportbook! Why aren't them having same experience... there seems to be something fishy about all these accounts and this one is from yesterday's registration.

I'll say you should follow in on Khaled0111's advice to find your solution after trying it out with the support team.
That only means that these newbie users got introduced on coinplay outside of this forum and create an account after checking the internet that they have an active community here to share their experience. Its the same for all the casino here.
So I don't think there's another reason for that unless its proven what we most thought about newbie posting accusations.

And yeah, posting scam accusations and messaging customer support answer those questions and hopefully solve the issue.
1835  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for this NEW TransferFrom Zero Transfer Scam! on: January 10, 2023, 09:11:10 AM
Apologize for replying a 3 week inactive thread, I just got here after reading some thread on Wallet Software board[1], from a confused user for a zero amount transfer.

Luckily explorers already are aware of this and I see today big warning message when I check some of this suspicious transactions.

There is link in warning message that sent me to this article "SlowMist: Be Wary of the TransferFrom Zero Transfer Scam"
Quoting this message and checked the bscscan and etherscan explorer doesn't have such warning on the transaction page but just labeled the wallet address "Fake_PhishingXXXX" X = number, which i guess is not enough and should have a warning text as well.

Well, for the past several years of making crypto transactions, never been i tried to use past transaction and copy there the wallet address im trying to send with. Mostly i go to the platform say exchange, copy the deposit wallet address, paste it on the wallet and check if it's correct before sending it. Because i feel like im always going to a different mode (crypto sending mode) when im trying to send payments with crypto, because i always thought that there's no room for mistakes when making crypto transactions, else, goodbye to your coins.

1836  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Odd behaviour in Exodus Wallet on: January 10, 2023, 08:49:45 AM
The problem isn't from Exodus wallet. The problem is with the smart contracts that allow sending 0 tokens without owning the private key.
Visit the following topics. The same thing has been already reported on TRON blockchain and Binance smart chain.
Shit, looks like this is a need to fix on those shitty smart contracts where zero amount transfer should not be allowed.
I just checked the USDC and USDT smart contract on its previous' transfers[1][2] after reading this thread and there are lot of them transactions with zero amount with a label of Fake_PhishingXXXX

I see that their support is a trash by googling same issue as yours. And  i found this reddit thread[1] on how you can communicate their support and recover your account. Hope this helps.

1838  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to restore an instagram account on: January 10, 2023, 06:58:36 AM
Yes, I pay in crypto.
Mention this on the OP to avoid confusion, if you are paying bitcoin or any altcoin particularly.

I've contacted instagram support many times for a month now and there is no response. That's why I'm asking for help here.
Then try to follow up them in everyday basis, because i see no reason how someone here can help when it regards to instagram account recovery especially lost 2fa issue. I also see no article related to 2fa recovery except when you have a backup code on the 2fa which based on opening this thread you don't have.
1839  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to restore an instagram account on: January 10, 2023, 06:46:26 AM
Are you paying bitcoin for the service you are asking? Kindly mention it, because the very content of this thread isn't related to bitcoin which will make the thread to subject for moving to somewhere else or to the trashcan.

For account recovery, you should message instagram support if you needed help instead or someone else.
1840  Other / Meta / Re: Users Changed Name 2023 on: January 09, 2023, 11:50:57 PM
I know this depends on the admins. But what are the requirements and acceptable reasons why a change name request is accepted, maybe @theymos or @Cyrus or mods can give a hint.

I don't think I need a change -- atleast not for now cus I guess it' looks cool on me yunno.
Sounds like your username is your used name irl, so for me, i would think to change it later on for security reason, but that's just me.
