so mazacoin still has no active blockexplorer online?  Huh

It does. maza.vicenet.eu

This kind of blockexplorer can't even show the amount of MZC on any given address, therefor it's useless to me.

my "per block estimate" hasn't updated for 12 hours now.

I see that I am submitting round shares and they are counting up as always, but the "per block estimate" has been near zero now for many hours (should be 10 times more by now) , will this be updated soon?

Also, in Account --> Active Workers --> 1 Minute it doesn't show any number anymore. 10 Minute does show a number though.

Am I the only one with this problem?

I am not sure if it's a problem with my miners and if I should go to the workshop later and see if there is something wrong with them.

With 47$ the guy has increased the market cap of quark by 6 millions.
This and the minimal value of 1 satoshi for coins with hundred of billions of coins issued are the things why you shouldn't take into account coinmarketcap when doing trades.

Exactly, or coinmarketcap should adjust their algorithm, to account for this
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | cPoW | PC mining | Stability | Hashcows - QRK Payouts on: June 08, 2014, 03:57:48 PM

During the last Bitcoin bubble Quarkcoin rised to 30k Satoshi, that was about 0.3$ at the peak.
Considering next already incoming Bitcoin bubble, BTC price may rise up to 5-7k$ dollars so if Quark would come back to the 30k Satoshis it would be worth about 2 dollars then.

Could be.... many people have a target price of 1-2 $ .... me too.

For older coins like worldcoin, digitalcoin, quarkcoin, zetacoin, feathercoin it is very possible to reach 1-2$ or even more if next Bitcoin boom will come and most probably it will come this year.

Yes, coins work like wine, they need to "age"... before they start tasting good.
2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: June 08, 2014, 03:35:32 PM
Have you guys seen why QKR price has risen from 0.015 $ to 0.05 $?

It's because one guy has bought about 7 QRK for the "meager" price of $6.56 ...

It's crazy how easy it is to manipulate coinmarketcap....

$47 to push QRK from #10 to #7 ... Huh?  Huh  Huh

The admins of coinmarketcap should fix their algorithm.

1 QRK = 0.05 $  Grin

Finally some blood returns to the pale face of quark.

I like it!

EDIT: Wait, it's just a fluke on one of the exchanges that is implemented in coinmarketcap.  Angry
QRK Volume is so low compared to overall marketcap, it's very easy to influence the price.

2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 【Truth or FUD???】DarkCoin – The Next Big Thing, or Just Another Pump and Dump? on: June 06, 2014, 05:17:42 PM
CoinJoin is trustless— which is orthogonal with centralized or decentralized, it could be implemented several ways (though trustlessness is usually a prerequisite to a decenteralized implementation). Post 5 in the CoinJoin thread writes in depth about implementing it in a decenteralized way, none of which appears to have been implemented by the darkcoin developers as far as I can tell— from what I've heard it seems that they're not even able to understand it. (This is a disappointment to me, since I was trying to describe these ideas clearly so others could understand them.)

More amusingly, what DarkCoin does is highly centralized because the software is closed— you can't get more centralized than closed source. What the actual behavior is, is anyone's guess— it's impossible to review due to it being closed— though "masternodes" does not sound like something decenteralized, it sounds like something that creates a small chokepoint which could be used to deanonymize its users, like a server based CoinJoin but worse since you have to hold a huge pile of coins to run a server.

As I've said before CoinJoin is interesting because it's inherently part of Bitcoin already— it just needed better tools (and now there are some, e.g. darkwallet) to make it available to people.  It's a privacy improvement over not having it, but it isn't perfect, but it also didn't require any changes to Bitcoin (much less a whole altcoin) to deploy it.  In an incompatible system much better is possible as is proposed by ZeroCash and much better is actually _realized_ by Bytecoin (and its forks... Monero, Fantomcoin, etc.), the later are actually working (if immature, due reinventing many wheels) implementations of much stronger privacy, decenteralized in their implementation, all released under a good open source license.

From what I can tell the only purpose DarkCoin serves is to depress me about the state of humanity.

Wow, so I think you need to go back and look at how Darkcoin started. It was my hobby, I wrote X11 in a weekend and launched it. I was thinking I might be able to write the anon tech into the wallet using a variation of Coinjoin, which I started afterward. Darkcoins success was much like Dogecoin, an accident. Please read this:  https://darkcointalk.org/threads/the-birth-of-darkcoin.162/

Had I know what was going to happen, I would have obviously taken much more care with the launch and tested everything thoroughly. It's too bad we can't all get past that, it irritates me seeing this constantly everywhere.

If you want to checkout the source for Darksend and see how it works I'm open to that. I think you'd be the best person to look it over before it's opened anyway.

Respect to you Evan for offering up the code to scrutiny like this, as you promised. And who better to check it out...

So with DRK, we have an UNFINISHED product that will NEVER be 100% anonymous.  #FAIL

So?

Bitcoin itself is unfinished.... it's still hasn't reached version 1.0 for crying out loud.

Also, anonymity is a relative value, much like security or transparency.

Bitcoin's anonymity is like a transparent house made of glass.

Atleast with Darkcoin we now get the anonymity that an underground bunker built with concrete offers.

Unpenetrable? Ofcourse not.... but much much more relative value. Like magnitudes better.

It's relativity that makes you sleep worriless at night (or not)

May I know why DRK have 150 Million premined coin? How will these coin be used? In the author pocket?

I see others already answered you in the manner you deserve, but just in case here are newcomers in the thread, I will give you the only and the correct answer: DRK does not have ANY premined coins. Zero.

+1 I second that.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

@520Bit Everybody can make stuff up and claim whatever he likes. I can claim that your brain can't even hold 520 Bits. How would you feel if you now had to disprove that?
Matter of fact is: You don't need to disprove what I just said, because it was just a made up claim, without any proof.

Only after you bring facts to the table (not rumours) you can start judging.

Hello Darkcoin my old friend...

The OP can lock this thread and start again with a moderated forum.

I never liked that idea...but this thread, more than any, is hijacked by everyone - promoting xyz coin, trying to force the price of drk down, etc. we've even had people openly saying they got paid to troll.

I don't mind anyone that is here to challenge, raise difficult questions, etc.

But the open nature of the community has been hijacked.

Another thread would only cause confusion.
Darkcoin has its own forums doesn't it?
So that best thing is to always remind people of the darkcoin forums.
But I wouldn't start creating new threads here at bitcointalk, because many people will feel confused.

This thread is like a blockchain, like a time document explaining everything from the past to the present.
So I wouldn't start "forking" the thread if I were the moderator.

I would keep on growing this thread, just let the trolls selfdestruct or lose interest sooner or later.
