All altcoins are basically btc copies >95% of the code base. Lol at all the coins who have special features but no adoption or "meme" worthiness. It's completely backwards. Real world adoption is soooo much more important than any fancy coin features. Wankcoin has a very good chance, and has had a nice start. It has become THE adult related altcoin, leaving the other competitors behind. |

I'm buying coins ... and payed 4x more than the price is now ... its not good when your early supporter pay the price for your mistakes (starting a coin without a plan) no wonder someone dropped 10.000 coins or more for under 0.0001 btc (price went down to 0.00006 btc on allcoin) this person lost his faith in the coin-team and took a lost... and that is sad ... we don't have a high vol. so coin holder cant even trade ... totally stuck so we can pray now ... miner on the other side can move... and they move ... High volume comes and goes ... If you keep on behaving like a jumpy deer that is easily attracted by fake volume, profitability promises etc you will end as "wolf dinner". As a miner I need to have a plan and stick to it. Jumping from coin to coin is the opposite of a plan. In the end who will profit more? Someone who is in it for the long haul (months, probably years) or someone who hunts daily percentage points like a crazy gambler? Also: "starting coin without a plan"? I am a miner, and I used to hunt the most profitable coin, because I was naive. I don't do this anymore, I prefer to stick to a coin and be happy about low difficulty periods. The point is, the price that coinwarz posts is never the price you will get when you sell on an exchange. It's just a "best guess", and if you try to sell a lot of coins the price will very quickly go down, before you can even sell the coins you want to sell. Especially with low volume coins like NEOS.... this coin isn't even in the top 100 coins at coinmarketcap at the moment, are you kidding me? So who is going to buy those coins? It will be difficult to sell them, and every coin can fake relatively high volume by getting those low market maker fees at an exchange. |

Would there be any benefit to me writing a bot which scrapes this thread for new posts and maintains a complete history so there is evidence of exactly which posts are being removed and just so the content isn't actually lost?
Might get your IP banned ... if you scrape too fast too often. But it would be great to have a tool like that. |

What's wrong with it, horrible relative to what? I'm not a developer either, but quite like it. Think it needs to be seen as a frontpage for info and on what are effectively sub projects (devtome, forum, news etc). Website is ok. Maybe needs more content, but nothing wrong with the design. |

Paying for sending messages is essential to prevent spam, but maybe it could be scaled so that very short messages are very cheap and then they get more expensive, the more data you send. Also with the current volatility, I think coding in set prices in DRK is a mistake. There must be a way of establishing some sort of ratio to things like difficulty, coin supply, market cap, masternodes, fiat currencies, precious metals or some combination of any of them, or something else.
Maybe we should leave this to the masternode holders or the miners (or whoever is going to process the messages) ... This all goes a little bit into the tx fee thing... we should all use a tx fee when sending DRK (to help the network), and the miners will at one point be free to NOT process a transaction that was submitted WITHOUT tx fee. So probably it will turn out the same way with the "message fee"... in the beginning people will be able to send messages for free, but the bigger the network gets (and or the more valuable DRK gets) we will see masternodes/miners process messages that pay higher fees with higher priority, and messages that pay no fee at all will probably not be processed at all... (or only by generous miners/nodes) What I am trying to say is: Don't make it complicated, just let the fee be decided between the users and the darkworkers (people who make the drk network function) |

This may drive the price up. Have some held on an exchange.. Dev says that there is some news coming out. So i am in a quandry, should i sell now as a price bump is expected... or hold for (probably) better things next week as announced by the dev! Oh well, i cant quite decide.. maybe i will liquidate some at the price bump. I'd love to have in-wallet messaging. No reason not to have this and I'm sure this is something easy to implement, especially with other coins already having messaging/chat features.
+1. It would be like sending messages to a darkcoin address. Both anonymous (so that you don't know who sent the message, and can't answer) but also not anonymous (so that the senders address is known to you, but only you, so that a private conversation can take place). It will not be possible to answer an anonymous message, because that would compromise the whole darksend anonymization process. (or could there be a way?) Ofcourse sending a message should cost a small amount of DRK, maybe 0.01 or something, so that eventual SPAM could be limited... Question is if messages are embedded in the blockchain or simply being broadcast by masternodes and probably saved and managed in the users wallet.dat? Your thoughts evan? |
