2761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: +newb question* what happens to used btc addy? Are they eventually recycled? on: January 19, 2019, 08:24:19 PM
You are probably wondering why your wallet has generated a new wallet address that is why you are having some kind of worry but it is normal and even if they gave you a new wallet address the BTC will still be sent to the wallet you are currently being use. Also you can still use the old address you are using as it won't be dead as it will still be connected to your address.
2762  Economy / Economics / Re: More than USD 1.5 bln has been stolen from exchanges. Here’s a recap on: January 19, 2019, 06:31:13 PM
That is why we need to push for a better regulation when it comes to the whole cryptocurrency industry. I know a lot of people here still don't want to connect the industry to the government but it is the only way to move forward, these crypto exchange companies cannot protect our person security on their own and the government has their right to protect their own citizen's well being. If you want for mass adoption to happen without this scams continuing we need to support the government to improve the industry not protest against them interfering.
2763  Other / Meta / Re: Should trust be moderated? (Poll) on: January 19, 2019, 04:20:32 PM
The good thing about untrusted feedback is there is no bearing into what they are saying not until a DT member swoops in and support their claims with a feedback on their own. The example feedbacks shown in the thread only shows the hate of a member to you clearly their is no relation to their claim whatsoever with regards to any transaction done in the forum. So in the end untrusted feedbacks really has no bearing in the forum the only downside is it just blemishes your trust record with their hate speech on red colored font.
2764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello and good morning. Look forward to the next days and weeks. on: January 17, 2019, 05:22:52 PM
I hope I can learn a lot here and also hope that I make the right investments.
Just don't always follow what other say about what investment you should buy. Remember most of them are just saying their opinion and it can be highly bias on their part. Always do your own research as well as your own analysis as if you really want to learn something out of this forum you need to do things independently when you are buying and selling in the crypto market.
2765  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Limit of Buying Bitcoin in Coinbase on: January 17, 2019, 04:49:21 PM
We are also increasing limits for the majority of our US customers. Until now, the maximum allowable purchase was $25,000 weekly. For verified customers, the limit will now be $25,000 daily, a 7x increase over our prior limits. And once your funds are transferred to Coinbase, there are no longer any limits to how much you can buy or sell at a time.
If you just search it in Google you will literally see this in the first result. If you are in USA you are lucky that your limits are as high as 25,000$ daily it can even be unlimited once the funds are in your Coinbase account. But if you are living in a different country expect that it will be much lower compared to what US base customers will get. It might be due to KYC/AML compliance which will vary from country to country so do not expect that all countries will have the same limit.
2766  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ponzi Scheme promoter and multiple language translator. on: January 17, 2019, 03:09:40 PM
Looks like he still promoting another scam named ETH777.IO, which is insane. They are a HYIP like token offering unreal returns plus "giveaway prizes" to their users. arguelles84 just posted this now in the ann thread of the scam coin.
When will your ico start?
March 18.
But we are planning to start pre-ICO in February
So he is still not stopping on promoting another scam and in currently entertaining questions from the thread.
2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 17, 2019, 12:53:03 PM
Chelsea agree Gonzalo Higuain loan deal with Juventus. I wonder why did Chelsea took Higuain
How could they agree on anything when Gonzalo Higuain is on a 1 year loan deal with Milan and at the end they have an option to buy him. So if A.C. Milan still has the right management they would just sign Higuain first so that they are the ones who will sell them. Nothing as of the moment is official right now and I don't think Milan won't let go of Higuain easy.
2768  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Malware targeting Windows Clipboard on: January 17, 2019, 11:53:47 AM
There's a malware being spread by torrent movie files that targets bitcoin addresses copied to the Windows clipboard.  If you use torrent to download movies on Windows machines be very careful when copying and pasting bitcoin addresses.
Where did you get this information? There was no statement saying that the malware came from a downloaded movie from a torrent but from a software disguised as a Radio/TV watcher named "All-Radio 4.27 Portable". Nevertheless we should always avoid downloading things even on torrents as you are never safe from this malwares and spywares.
This infection was spotted as part of the All-Radio 4.27 Portable malware package that was distributed this week. When installed, a DLL named d3dx11_31.dll will be downloaded to the Windows Temp folder and an autorun called "DirectX 11" will be created to run the DLL when a user logs into the computer.
2769  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Things to consider before lauching a gambling site ? on: January 17, 2019, 10:50:15 AM
what are problems ya'll had with gambling sites ? what features would you like the most ?

Licence. I never bet on unlicensed websites. One thing that matters the most to me. Second one is transparency and reputation of the owner.

but i am talking about bitcoin gambling sites like primedice stake, how they get your trust, besides being popular what things you look in website to have your trust. ?
Bro he answered your question straightly License is pretty important for players to trust a gambling site even online Bitcoin gambling sites needs licenses to operate legally. Most of the gambling sites I know are operating in a Island territory called Curacao as they give aways licenses easily the only catch is you need to be operating in their country. Other than that what makes a gambling site trustworthy is their system reliability and lack of scandal it surely makes a gambling site more popular knowing that they are performing at their 100%.
2770  Economy / Economics / Re: Tokenization of real-world assets on: January 16, 2019, 07:31:20 PM
Whats the benefit of this? So you could trade NYSE stocks even if the market is close? Keep it real dude there is really no benefit on offering up stocks already existing in a regulated environment to a decentralize exchange. This stocks in the NYSE are like the backbone of USA's economy as they are also registered companies to US, the SEC won't allow any foreign body to play with their companies like a pump and dump coin. This would simply be catastrophic to their economy.
2771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of Copper Membership will raise considerably on: January 16, 2019, 06:12:56 PM
This kind of donations were already discussed some times, and theymos said the forum doesn't need more money for now.
I even suggested new donators rank, as I wanted to donate also (but not 50btc for donator rank)
I think the reason for that is Bitcointalk still auctions their banner spaces frequently which is a big money maker for the site especially when a lot of participants really want to have the banner spaces, just take a look at the latest round you will see that prices will get higher as the deadline comes close. That is why maybe theymos have not focused on changing the copper membership price swiftly even when it got down to around 3,000$.
2772  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Americans lost $1.7 billion, more than half don’t know they can claim deduction on: January 16, 2019, 04:12:05 PM
That's what happens when you jump right in the hype train without any experience whatsoever on both trading as well as tax management. People always see the opposite they think that when something is rising in value it is their perfect opportunity to jump in while the whole truth is they are too late to participate. Now some of them are also screwing up their tax report by not maximizing their tax deductions which they won't be able to claim back. Knowledge is really what any investors need before jumping at something.
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people refuse to accept bitcoin? on: January 16, 2019, 03:18:55 PM
What I love about this article is I can relate to all the arguments he made an example of at the end all the arguments I have with my friend in relation to this made me go on the losing side. After all the years I am in touch with Bitcoin what I have learned is you can never win to anyone even with your friends who are not an open minded person as we are about cryptocurrencies, at the end I almost always change the subject immediately as I know nothing what I will say to him/her would convince him that Bitcoin is better than Fiat currency, I cannot even talk back now as the prices in the market are on my friends' side.
2774  Other / Meta / Re: Another 3 new account spamming 1 Thread on: January 16, 2019, 12:22:38 PM
~snip~
Though the amount is but I'm sure its affordable, ICO projects are aiming to raise at least a million and they are not willing to pay a reputable bounty manager, I guess, that's a red flag already. If they are confident that their idea would sell, they should also be willing to invest for the marketing, that's how business should be run, you spend at the beginning and you reap the fruits of your labor at the end, should not be the other way around.
Well it can be considered a red flag but let us be honest ICO devs don't care about who they hire as long as they cut their cost. Cheap Cost + Great number of promoters = to more promotional success which they know that their target profit will be achieve. That is why hiring sub par bounty managers cannot be considered a red flag when you are hunting down scam projects here as even legit ICOs hire them.
2775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 15, 2019, 08:25:20 PM
Wow! Harden did it again, 57 points against the Memphis Grizzlies, I think I find my new MVP at him, probably a back to back for him if he continue to play this way. This is a complete example of carrying his team by himself to win, he is responsible for the 50% of the total scores his team made tonight and almost perfect at free throw line with 17-18,  that area is really where he is good at.

We cannot just see an MVP basing on points only. It is the overall stats.
Yeah he did great creating those high points but there are players who have been doing almost a triple double every game and they are consistent with it.

If average will be calculated I will still go for Gianis. He is like a machine who does it all to push his team to the top 8.
I still dont like how Mike DAntoni is doing his offense now. It cannot be always Harden on the frontlines. He needs to use every single player of his team.
Well it really depends on the Panel (which are Sport Writers and Commentators who really don't know the game) who will be voting in the NBA awards again, and based on my observation all the panelist see are just numbers and who is popular in the league also they all have their personal biases on voting but I know they always go for one of the most popular players who has good stats behind their name, just take a look at the last two winners of the MVP award you will see that they always go for the best stated player, they really don't care about win shares or TO what's important is his team reach the playoffs.
2776  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-11]South Korea Government Approves Seven Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: January 15, 2019, 07:13:49 PM
Whatever security they put in place doesn't make any difference, they are going to be hacked by their north korean buddies. They probably have government backed cyber hackers targeting them daily
If you don't know by now North and South Korea are having a good and peaceful relationship according to the latest news. Ever since Kim Jong-un have agreed to pass the DMZ to meet his South Korean counterpart they have good talks with each other they even go as far having the same team in the Asian games together. I don't know but Kim Jong-un looks like will not only be saving North Korea but the world as well, this might even decrease the chances of having another world war again. So cheap shots like this won't be possible as it would greatly derail their progress when they get caught.
2777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptopia Hacked. Will BTC Crash? on: January 15, 2019, 05:55:57 PM
Cryptopia isn't even in the top 10 crypto exchanges in terms of daily traded volume why would you think that the stolen amount would be considerable to sway the overall market? The only thing that will make the market go down more is FUD rather than the stolen cryptocurrencies itself. I even doubt that the hackers would liquidate the money in this early stages as they know that they will be easier to track when they liquidate it to fiat. So remember its FUD that brings down the market so if the market is falling it would help that you won't be a part of the panic selling when it happens.
2778  Economy / Reputation / Re: S_Therapist = mdayonliner on: January 15, 2019, 05:16:57 PM
I have seen people call hilariousandco and hilariousetc as hilarious and thats including me, but I only S_Therapist and mdayonliner are the ones using "hilari" to call out hilariousandco which is kinda odd as I don't think the same two people will have the same unique nickname to a person. Hilarious is for me pretty standard as it is the first thing that will pop out when you want to shorten a name of a member here like when I mention the name Yahoo everyone knows I am referring to yahoo62278 in the forum.
2779  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Adoption Is Pushing Up Salaries for Related Jobs on: January 15, 2019, 03:33:13 PM
Technically college graduates who have graduated from any computer studies or IT related course will benefit this demand. Even before the blockchain related jobs boomed this year we all know that IT graduates are really on demand pretty much on every company you will be job hunting by now at least one or two have positions available for IT graduates. So for young people out there when you are choosing your college program it must be related to tech as it is the future of on demand jobs.
2780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just wonder'n? on: January 15, 2019, 12:31:53 PM
I don't know anyone's personal life here as I know they would love to keep it private but I'm sure posting here is not as time consuming as you think. It's know different than wasting your time scrolling your social media accounts as well as watching Youtube. So I think even if you see these members always online in the forum I still do think that most of their lives does not revolve around in the forum. Just like me I can post in topics, surf the web, and do my job everyday and still have time to do other things like socialize with my friends.
