Watching this drop is so painful. Do you guys recommend sell and buy back lower or hold?
The drop may have been painful too watch, but i think it only effected Dash on its fiat value. Now that large amounts of Bitcoin have been sold, i suspect some of that will flow back to altcoins and therefore also to Dash. I think Dash will be breaking into the 0.08 btc range pretty soon and just continue its long-term uptrend. Basicly what Dash lost in fiat value, it will gain in btc value over time. I think those traders / investors / merchants that moved into Dash, may have other reasons besides just having transaction privacy.
Dash also offers :

* Instant transaction-confirmations (currently disabled due to a bug that has recentely been discovered, will be enabled again with the next update)

Monero vs. Dash I have completed my analysis on Dash and Monero on the privacy aspect, basically the 2 only currencies that are even worth analysing, the others are really not even worth my time. Good luck trying to snoop in using masternodes
Good luck trying to get the dev-team consisting of individual members to use their masternodes collectively to snoop in, thereby damaging the value of the Dash they hold and getting voted out on salary as result.
I'm not satisfied by that answer. If the connection between the nodes is not encrypted, then somebody monitoring the communication between the nodes can easily decypher it. So I'll ask again: I have 1 question though. Is the communication between mixing nodes encrypted well? Like with TLS or things like that? Because if it isn't, then say hello to permanent transaction records: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_CenterAt which point, it's exactly the same problem as with Monero if the Monero blockchain is decrypted by QC. I would not be satisfied either if i was looking to discredit Dash and having just learned that owning 4 masternodes only gives you 0.000001226 % chance of snooping in on a 4 rounds mixed PrivateSend transaction With regards to monitoring the communication between nodes leading to PrivateSend getting easily decypherable or not : why dont you give it a shot and see where it leads you ? You could be the very first person to decypher a PrivateSend transaction ....... you could get famous !! edit : oh dear, i see arielbit is still emotionally tripping over any Dashcoin reference in this thread .. that cant be good for the bloodpressure of our little mermaid. |

It really depends per country.
In my country cryptocurrencies fall under property taxes (which is about 1.2% of our property) , so we need to declare that cryptocurrency is part of our property and we also need to declare if their value is above
or below a certain value (we have tax-free property till 25.000 Euro). If we converted the cryptocurrency to EURO, then that value in FIAT will also fall under property taxes.
Our property value is calculated over a set date, which is 1st of january from the previous year.
selfnote : do not convert cryptocurrency to FIAT on the 1st of january .. ever.

Which altcoins have potential to grow like Bitcoin?
