Not refund yet?
Yes. Month passed since my orders changed status to "Refund ready for process". No refund since February.
Their support only replies "we are extremely busy at the moment".
It is taking them more than a MONTH to send a single bitcoin transaction, LOL.

SCAM

They don't refund in BTC.

I got my refund in USD about a week after I requested it, even though I paid in BTC. That was a month ago, and their customer support was helpful in cordial.
Exactly, maybe you are looking in the wrong spot, lol, try your bank...
That's why they ask repeatedly for a swiftcode, which is most likely your problem, and not theirs.
This situation has been gone over dozens of times in here, why are you looking for BTC?
I am writing the second time already: they are going to refund in BTC due to a large amount of money.
And they are not able to send the bitcoins for a MONTH already. And they still continue responding "it will be with you soon", "i am sorry, but we are extremely busy", etc.

Most of the bitcoins likely got eating up by MtGox, so yeah you'll likely have to wait like everyone else. Sad

Haahaa, really?  omg.  You do realize they used BitPay and Bank, right?
This refund sounds too weird, and no, I had a "large" refund as well, and it was still to the bank.
I suggest if his refund woes are REAL, he picks up the ##$%^&  phone, or posts it in the actual KNC forum, to Keith, Lu, or Liam... instead of whining in here where not a single rep is going to answer. Too damned fishy.
I feel for ya if true
did you order 10 or something?

Post the emails in here, their forum, and post a thread... that might get their attention... MIGHT
In the recent past, calling them has proven to be most effective whilst wanting answers.
During Swedish business hours, of course.

on another side note, and unrelated....   Remember folks...
Nothing ships, and everything comes to a screeching halt in July @ KNC
(SIV)six weeks. Most Swedes take all of July off. Swedish Industrial Vacation.
Which may effect Titan, or not at all if out before then.
Last July, this included Customer Service; let's hope that changes, lol.
It was extremely aggravating, and a tad scary for them to go on vacation right after taking our money in early June.
But they came back, and rocked the world.

Listen if you feel scammed hire a lawyer and call the local police over there and have KNC charged, the laws over their for corporate fraud are much more harsh than in America. Wink

It it's works good under Windows 7 why are you messing with it?

There is a saying, if it's not broke why try and fix it? Smiley

I would rather not have my PC running this.  My PC uses about 500w on average, the Raspberry Pi uses, what, 2 or 3 watts?

Then you need to buy a 2 or 3 watt computer that can run Windows 7 then. Smiley Gigabyte and Xi3 are the only manufactures that I know of that build such a beast.

284  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Ice Fury (nano fury) support thread. on: March 22, 2014, 09:22:51 PM
Thanks for the responses.
Hi vs3, I did read the previous threads. I have posts on this thread on the previous pages. I believe some of the previous suggestions mentioned something about slowing down my USB ports to 1.1 speeds. This isn't something I'm looking to do.  I do have another hub with 80Gh/s worth of ButterflyLabs miners connected to one of the R-Pi's USB ports on the same Raspberry Pi working just fine and slowing down the USB hubs isn't a viable option for me.

You can't mixed Ice Furys and BFL USB miners. You need put the Ice Furys on their own machine.

286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.9.0 FINAL is available [Changelog] [Download] on: March 21, 2014, 10:50:15 PM

That worked, thank you. Next stumbling block: It seems the data directories for the blocks and wallet have changed? The client starts with 270 weeks back. Where can I set the datadir?

I didn't have to set my directory but this may help as a terminal command option  -datadir=<dir>         Specify data directory

Edit: I don't know if this has anything to do with it but you may have to install Berkley DB 4.8 but others here will know better than me about that. Don't do it based on my advice. I did to avoid the error I was getting when compiling my own.

Code:
./bitcoin-qt -datadir=/home/xyz/.bitcoin &

Worked like a charm for me.

As an added bonus there are now several more bitcoins in my wallet. Not sure what happened there, but judging from the time it took to start bitcoin core it must have done a re-scan and found same additional tx. (?)

Sorry does this mean that bitcoin-qt 0.9.0 doesn't automatically access the .bitcoin/bitcoin.conf file from the users home folder like 0.8.6 does?

Thanks,
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.9.0 FINAL is available [Changelog] [Download] on: March 21, 2014, 01:09:18 PM
I had a look at the *nix install notes for bitcoin-qt 0.9.0 and wasn't able to determine what I need to run to make / install bitcoin-qt from the source that I wonder if someone could help me?

I need to compile it under openSUSE 13.1, I currently have 0.8.6 which I downloaded from the software.opensuse.org site, there isn't an update yet, I suspect the people who have compiled 0.8.6 either haven't setup 0.9.0 on their systems or aren't bitcoin mining anymore. Sad

Thanks
288  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AVALON MINER 230GHS PROBLEM ( 0.5 BTC BOUNTY) on: March 21, 2014, 12:58:47 PM
Hi. Took me a while to find this http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Avalon     you should try again after reading. Your miner looks ok, run cgminer with dèfault options
--avalon-options 115200:24:10:45:282
if you still cant start mining u should try one of the firmware upgrades.

Idid all that but it doenst hash , it appears connect to 2 pools but 0.0 mh/s . What do ihave to do?

Those values are for 110nm avalons. You have a 55nm avalon so you should read the documentation in ASIC-README to choose the correct settings,
https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/ASIC-README
 and use the latest firmware.
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/avalon/20140309/

I resolved the issue , the problem was the power supply , the ones that came with the avalon where shit , i changed them and the miner started , i only have one issue left that i have with only 1 that is the temperature, is above 70°

Avalon's run better in cold places. So if you have a cold space in your house put your Avalon there or live with the fact it will run HOT.

289  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon Wifi Connecting to CGMiner Interface??? on: March 21, 2014, 12:55:28 PM
Question from a noob; so forgive me if it is basic.  I have an Avalon 50-60Gh/s machine up and running.  The Wifi interface works perfectly for mining, but I can't get to the CGminer interface via wifi; in fact i can't even ping the wifi IP address.  My router obviously sees the wifi IP address, but does not report a host name despite a host name being specified in CGMiner.

This is not a huge deal since I can directly connect from a laptop to the hardwired LAN interface on the Avalon, but it would be nice to get rid of an the Ethernet cable and still get to CGminer.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

You need to check the firewall settings for the WiFi adapter, they should match your LAN interface firewall settings.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.9.0 FINAL is available [Changelog] [Download] on: March 20, 2014, 10:31:21 PM
There is something really different in 0.9.0 over 0.8.6, when I try to run either the 32bit or 64bit bin on my openSUSE 13.1 it refuses it work were as 0.8.6 binaries worked without any issues. (sigh)

Does anyone here use openSUSE?

Thanks
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need help with Bitcoin-QT transferring of BTC on: March 16, 2014, 11:44:55 AM
That's fine, either:
use 0.0001 in the box and send all but 0.0003
or use 0.0002 in the box and send all but 0.0006

The first box tells you that it would like to send the fee that you typed in the box (0.0001).  The second box means that it realized your transaction is so large it needs a bigger fee and it would like to use 3 times what you typed in the box.

It's still broken. I took off 0.0004 and was given a prompt that I forgot to capture that said I was exceed the transfer limit. Anyhow the transfer is stuck now once more, I tried to transfer out 0.59xxxxx bitcoins and this same thing happened.

If you look at the blockchain it says I only included 0.00003 fees, how does it figure that?

Why anyone would like to use Bitcoin-qt over Multibit i don't get it.

Because I am running a P2Pool node which uses bitcoind/bitcon-qt
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt / bitcoind version 0.8.6 released on: March 15, 2014, 10:30:35 AM
I am having some serious problems with Bitcoin-QT on openSUSE sending bitcoins to another wallet.

I am using:

Bitcoin v0.8.6.0-g03a7d67-beta
QT v4.8.5

This post explains the issue and has all the screen shots:

294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need help with Bitcoin-QT transferring of BTC on: March 15, 2014, 10:04:55 AM
Goto Settings -> Options and change the fee to 0.0001 then retry the transaction and accept the fee.  Make it 0.0002 if you really want to be sure it'll go through.

I have run into a problem again. LOL (sigh)

I set the fee to 0.0001 as seen below:

I then send the entire amount to my other wallet and get this message but no option to send.

If I manually subtract 0.0001 from my total I and try to send it I get this message, and no option to send.

And I get the same messages when I use 0.0002 and when I subtract it and try sending the bitcoins the last message says 0.00006. Sad

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need help with Bitcoin-QT transferring of BTC on: March 15, 2014, 12:49:23 AM
Is there a general rule of thumb  when sending any amount? Sorry I normally use multibit on my PC that automatically adds the fee on transactions being sent.

I tried to set the fee to 0.001 on the amount above (subtracking 0.001 from the total number), then it told me the same dialog message above but the transaction was 0.002 which really threw me. (sigh)

It depends on the number of inputs and the size of the transaction (not the amount you are sending but the number of bytes). I can't tell you exactly what you can get away with, but in in general 0.0005 should guarantee nearly any transaction being sent. You can refer to here for more info: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees. You need to direct your client to set the fee at 0.0001 per kB or however much you want (by changing its settings), as you can't simply expect to subtract a specific amount from the amount you wish to spend and assume the client will know that is the tx fee.

okay so when I reduce the Bitcoins being transferred by 0.0005 I get this message; is it okay?

Thanks,
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need help with Bitcoin-QT transferring of BTC on: March 15, 2014, 12:17:12 AM
First off you're going to have to factor in the transaction fee into the amount of wish to send. If for example you have 0.01 in your wallet and you wish to pay a 0.0001 fee then you can only send a maximum of 0.0099. You might not want to bother sending with such a tiny fee as it's going to take forever to send, my advice would be to include at least 0.0001 or more depending on your number of inputs and how fast you want your transaction to go through.

297  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [185 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: March 14, 2014, 11:50:32 PM
Is there anyway to disable the wallet function in P2Pool and have it instead forward the percentage of shares the note is to receive to a different wallet?

I have hit a stumbling block; over a week a go I initiated a transfer of over 1/2 a bitcoin and Bitcoin-QT told me I need to account for 0.0004 of the fee, so I did that and ever since the transfer has been in limbo, it looks like bitcoin-qt gave me the wrong fee to account for it if I understand the blockchain correctly.

https://blockchain.info/tx-index/7bbbc7b5fac8c2973e9c62a17cead946b9cf1832aac47479799ce566fafabcc1

Also I need to figure out if can fix this issue or have I lost those coins? Sad

Thanks,

correct fee for that is 0.0004, the fee on link provided is 0.00004

chances of getting into a block that is less than 10k (or 27k if it's priority)  in size is slim

This goes back to my initial problem with bition-qt/bitcoind when it comes to sent transactions. I am trying to transfer 0.31779405 bitcoins and I am getting this dialog from bitcoin-qt, its not hard to imagine that with my 0.59xxx bitcoins the number was 0.00004 not 0.0004 ...

298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I need help with Bitcoin-QT transferring of BTC on: March 14, 2014, 11:41:48 PM
I am using the latest version of Bitcoin-QT on openSUSE.

When I try to transfer 0.31779405 BTC to my other wallet I get the following dialog window;

When I have tried to transfer 0.59xxxxx bitcoins in the last couple of weeks I got the same dialog but it said the fee was 0.00004, when I adjusted my transfer to that number it took weeks to transfer as people told me I should have made it 0.0004 not 0.00004.

Anyhow I how do I know that I need to set my transfer fee to in Bitcoin-QT for any amount?

Thanks,
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 14, 2014, 11:57:37 AM
So finally I get a response after almost 2 weeks and they say that the information is invalid. I use a credit Union and as a result there is an intermediary bank that it has to flow through but since KNC's system doesn't allow for that they can't process the refund? I think they are just being lazy or this is a stall tactic. I'm going to be pissed if I need to open a new bank account for this. What a cluster&%@@.

Credit Union's work differently than banks when wiring transfers and receiving write transfers, to you and I we wouldn't know the difference as the customer. So KNC's bank likely won't wire transfers to Credit Union's requiring you to open a bank account. This isn't uncommon for banks to require another major bank to be receiver of wire moneys.

You're a fool if you buy anything from Avalon

I have bought a lot things from Avalon in the past had no issues. Maybe you were bugging them so much that they messed up your order intentionally Smiley

Or maybe they lied and cheated people.

Or maybe they didn't lie and cheat anyone but due to their own circumstances whatever required them to produce the product failed and they simply neglected to inform the customer of the issue, so people jumped the gun. If YiFU was such a bad person why are is miners still selling, even his new Avalon 2's which where in a stock up to a week ago are not out of stock. Business is still moving forwards for Avalon.

Reminds me of the companies who have thousands of positive feedbacks on Ebay and a less than 50~100 negative feedbacks and hearing people say "they lied and cheated people". Smiley
