281  Other / Meta / Re: Spammer ID Statistics Report in the Chinese section on: July 03, 2014, 11:18:02 AM
Could you elaborate a little bit on that?

I just skimmed through the posts of the first person on your list (Ziggy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=19057;sa=showPosts).
Most of the posts are about altcoins, but they are not that terrible IMO.

Btw, how did you gather that long list of 1003 accounts?
282  Other / Meta / Re: Selling pirated / illegal software licenses. on: July 03, 2014, 11:01:57 AM
If you want to know the key is legal or not ... Can I buy from a key ... Then with Microsoft support for it...OK!

Can you please reformulate this? It's pretty hard to understand.

I believe he want you to buy a key from him, and then check it with Microsoft directly.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: July 03, 2014, 10:50:23 AM
on 1. semptember we will be above 10000$

September 2014? Really? You expect bitcoin price to go from $650 to $10000 in 60 days?  Shocked
284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is mining with a laptop different from running Crysis on max settings? on: July 03, 2014, 10:48:36 AM
The main reason mining on a laptop is useless is because you will waste more money on electricity than you will gain from mining.

Maybe some altcoins can be mined efficiently if your laptops processor is more energy-efficient than you desktop (which might be the case because laptops in general are designed for efficient use of battery)

I think the main reason is it's a perfect way to destroy a nice laptop.

You could have free power, and I think most would still agree mining on a "gaming laptop" is going to be detrimental long term.

Well, if you have free power, free air-conditioning, and idle laptops, it may not be detrimental (though you won't get much for all that effort). Smiley
285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the minimum transaction time? on: July 03, 2014, 10:38:47 AM
The average is supposed to be 10 minuted.  If the network is growing rapidly or has positive luck then blocks will be found quicker (as is the case for the last 1.5 years).  Difficulty adjust every 2016 blocks to make it so blocks are found closer to 10 min apart.

That is the average time between each block.
But you won't expect to create transaction everytime right after a block is found, right? Cheesy
286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Will Bitcoin Reach $1000?? on: July 03, 2014, 10:33:19 AM
The thing about news, in my opinion, is that it tends to follow market sentiment -- it doesn't create it. So, in a bear market, good news tends to have little effect. In a bull market, much effect. I don't think we have confirmed the type of full-blown bull market where good news will be immediately reflected in price.

Exactly. IMO, the media will just create over-reaction to both good news and bad news, like the overbought in Nov 2013. Smiley
287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why this is taking so long to find a block ? on: July 03, 2014, 10:29:32 AM
No... I'm not using shared send function. I am using https://blockchain.info/api/api_receive for an application I'm developing on. A is the user address and C is the admin address. B is the intermediary provided by blockchain.info where my fund is now sitting.

Looks like blockchain.info is now unable to show any fund at all !!!

Got temporary error 1218 'Send Buffers overloaded in NDB kernel' from NDBCLUSTER

Has the problem been solved now? If not, trying sending a support ticket, or send a PM to piuk.

This is disgusting !!! We seriously need an alternative good API provider for send/receive functionality !!!

What about running a local bitcoind?  Huh
288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the minimum transaction time? on: July 03, 2014, 10:19:16 AM
You can find the average tx confrimation time on blockchain.info (https://blockchain.info/charts/avg-confirmation-time).
As shown in the graph, it is about 6 to 9 minutes generally speaking.
289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips on increasing my TRUST level on bitcointalk? on: July 03, 2014, 10:06:42 AM
Yeah, it needs to be from the DefaultTrust list. However, I noticed that people with only one DefaultTrust positive feedback don't seem to get the green band.

Not necessarily.
For example, Cilantro (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=125041) has only got 1 positive feedback and he has a light green score of +1. Smiley

291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this the silkroad auction winners address? 29,656.51593736 BTC on: July 03, 2014, 09:57:01 AM
I wish I am the owner of this account. Grin

If this is, congrad to the winner!!!  One lucky guy!!   Shocked

Those Bitcoins were not given for free. They were purchased and paid for by the legal entity who won the auction. There was no extraneous luck involved there. If you had enough liquid assets to trade for those Bitcoins, then you could have made a bid for them too. Acquiring those Bitcoins were no different from acquiring stocks of a profitable corporation via auction.

Well, that is true.
But when the bidders submitted their price in the sealed auction, they must be thinking their prices are good enough to them (otherwise they would submit a lower price). So, the winner should be happy winning the auction. Smiley
I wouldn't call the winner "lucky" but IMO it is reasonable to congratulate the winner.
292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Core on 2 computers without re-syncing? on: July 03, 2014, 09:46:48 AM
Hello guys a question here, my desktop is 64bit and my laptop 32bit, will I be able to still transfer the blockchain to my laptop?

There shouldn't be any problem transferring the block data to your laptop.

Or should I get a lightweight wallet like electrum and when i go away and want to use my laptop just transfer the bitcoins from my desktop wallet to my laptop one?

Or you could simply use the same Electrum wallet on both your desktop and laptop.
Just create an Electrum wallet on your desktop, copy the 12-word seed, go to your laptop and select "restore an existing wallet from its seed".

Are you used a easy password ? How that happened that you have been hacked ?

My guess is that he is using the same password on many different sites, and one of the sites get hacked.
Another possible reason is that he has got a keylogger on his computer, or he has entered his password on a phishing link.
