It's a 419, guys. Nothing to see, move along now. Reported.

Replied. Accounts are not valuable with me at all, I'm sorry.

284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Closed] Legendaries review party of Spondoolies-Tech's SP20 on: December 11, 2014, 05:53:24 PM
I have 3 x SP10 running in a container unit and they have direct air-con pointed at the intake.
the aircon is set at 16celcius.

I have 1 xSP31 running in a garage unit, however they draw cool air from the back wall which is currently ~5celcius and intake temps are at ~11celcius

I have 1 x SP20 in the room next to the lounge in my home, pulling air directly from outside, through an open window (bugger it's cold outside) and it's running perfectly well.

that's about all i can advise really  Undecided

I'll be doing your third case here, and yea it's frigid out there. *peeks at the sub-blizzard*
285  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Closed] Legendaries review party of Spondoolies-Tech's SP20 on: December 11, 2014, 05:22:44 PM
I'll be overclocking it with two CX750's as long as it's not too noisy. Judging from the snowfall out there, the holiday season should be perfect for some mining to heat up everything. Smiley

My old friend, I am sorry in advance Tongue A minor underclock and you should be okay to lower the 80% fan down.

Cry Not even if I point it at the frigid air outside? It's been some time since I mined after the days of FPGA's and GPU's, so I'm not too sure what to expect here.

Not even. It really doesnt get "bearable" for what I consider to be home noise levels (im sensitive though) till under 50-60% fan speed. It really varies from person to person, couple of my clients put them in their bedrooms at 100% speed...

raskul can tip you with pointing miners towards frigid air outside  Grin

Makes you wonder what sounds are they trying to mask...

Welp, I guess I'll see how it goes next Monday.  Shocked
I'm not that sensitive to white noise, although admittedly I'm planning to put them in a small room where I'll probably be working around them...

hole trust system should be removed and go back to scammer tags...

Its just a stupid game at this point as we can all see.

Back to the 'centralized communist' system everyone hated? Wink

It worked and I found it to be more accurate then the current trust system that is more about kissing ass then it is facts

May have worked for you, but you aren't the one who has to spend hours and hours daily on it, with nothing in return. I participated in that a lot, know what I got for it? Either a "Thanks!" or "Fuck off!", and trolled endlessly by those who disagreed.

Then the tagged would just make a new account and carry on.

Agreed here as someone who've did this last time too. Tongue
Without a form of crowdsourcing the reviews on individual users, the sole admins and moderators here would've collapsed under the multitudes of scammers jumping up every day.

got my tracking number Smiley

I will run it stock for a day or so.  then I will over clock and under clock .

I will probably use a couple of 750's at first for the ability to use the killawatt, but I would like to wire it directly to a IBM 24R2710 DPS-2000BB 2000Watt Power Supply

Same here. Cheesy Estimated arrival time on Monday morning.

Seems der_troll gave Mabsark negative trust, and that der_troll is in the 2nd level of the default trust list. I can't seem to figure out why though.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=73449
He has one trusted negative feedback (from Mabsark) and no untrusted feedback. Why is he in level 2?

If you look at hierarchical view of trust, it appears that both der_troll and Mabsark are listed under CanaryInTheMine, who is level 1 default.
Yeah, but Canary never left feedback for der_troll.
If Canary includes der_troll in his trust list, but doesn't leave a feedback for him, would that add him to the level 2 list?

Canary added him in his trust list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust) . Leaving trust does not add that person to your trust list I see.

I'm thinking of giving a positive feedback to Mabsark to even out his trust. I've went through his feedbacks to various 'cloud miners', and to be honest I do find his opinion of them mostly substantiated.
293  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting theymos to remove Mabsark from DefaultTrust on: December 11, 2014, 03:53:00 PM
I actually personally agree to most of Mabsark's opinions here, especially given the recent light where PBMining imploded. Also, Mabsark's not in DefaultTrust, rather someone in DefaultTrust has trusted him.

How about making sure the collateral is a valid one for the lenders?

*looks at trust  Roll Eyes*
295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Closed] Legendaries review party of Spondoolies-Tech's SP20 on: December 11, 2014, 12:41:23 PM
question.
these reviews will be on their own separate threads right?

if they all go on one thread, it'll be a tad cluttered and I hope they are on separate threads so that they can remain independent.

I'm not sure separate threads would be a good idea - there's already about 5 SP20 threads and another 10 is going to annoy the admins. Heck, even 5 is more than other products are usually allowed before things start getting merged.

but each review is bound to be different, so merging them would cause slight confusion to anyone asking questions or giving remarks.
the way i see it, it's not entirely a marketing ploy as these miners are selling well, more of a thank you gift to those who have been in the mining game since days of yore so I don't see an issue with having separate review threads. Perhaps the Admins should consider making child boards for each manufacturer. within the hardware section? It's not as though forum space is a concern - look at the funds which have been donated to the forum (don't get me started lol)

ADD: discuss here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=889336.msg9805837#msg9805837

The OP says "The only condition is to post the review, including pictures, under a new thread under Mining -> Hardware, within 3 days of receiving the hardware."

I guess a new thread is asked of here. *camps in front of pc waiting for tracking number*
296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner BE300S Samples Arrived, <0.2W/G Achieved at Board Level on: December 11, 2014, 06:10:25 AM
And here we go again. Posting about how things will be better but still ignoring the existing issues and promises. Why are you still not responding to emails and PM's? Are you just hoping all the prisma users will forget about the compensation or the lack of communication and just fork over more money to buy new gear and hope that it will work better than what we already paid for?

Friedcat is an honorable person.
297  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 11, 2014, 05:53:51 AM
for those that dont look at the hardware thread
Till now we received enough returned Prismas to get a statistical conclusion.
We decide that the old Prisma design has some flaws in both firmware and hardware.
Therefore manually fixing them and shipping them back take too long and are
not good for both our customers and us.

So the customers can choose one in the two offerings below:

1. We buy back the Prismas at the original price the customers pay.
The customers only need to ship the controller and the hashing boards back.
The fans and heatsinks are not needed. Customers who already shipped them back
can also switch to this option.

2. We use revised version of Prismas based on our new power management chips
to replace old ones, instead of returning old designs or replacing. This version is very
stable and has no problem of hashrate loss/overheat/can't identify boards/etc.
The compensation method for mining time loss is the same as before.

We cover shipping fee of both, if you can provide the shipping label.

We are very sorry for all the problems brought with the old version Prisma. The revised Prisma with our
own power management chips is much more stable. So if you are still able to put some trust on it and
accept the waiting of compensation (it accumulates with each delayed date anyway), you can choose
the second.

Please email us to sale@bitquan.com with the following information and format:

* Personal info,shipping address,tel number
* Date of buying our Prisma
* Your previous individual/exclusive btc payment address
* Number of broken Prsima boards (have to be fit well with the number you shipped back)
* Date you received your miners, date of shipping back
* The picture of the shipping label with the shipping price on it
* Your btc receivable address. it will be best to be the one you paid to us before. If the btc
receiving address is different, please sign the message with your address used for payment if you could.

For customers who already shipped back, please mail to us again (sale@bitquan.com) about the choice
you want to take.

Phasebird will reply afterwards with the new shipping address within US and EU. It
allows quicker turn-around time.

His credibility and reputation in my eyes just grew tenfold.

299  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan of .62 repayment in 2 days offering psn and battle.net accounts on: December 10, 2014, 07:38:40 PM
I am aware that i am a newbie, but i joined this site over a year ago for viewing information and learning about bitcoin and mining. I just never posted anything i just read. Anyway i would like to borrow .62 bitcoins as there is a sale on video cards and i don't get my new credit card until tomorrow but the sale ends at midnight. I will repay the lender .7 bitcoin on Friday the 12th of December.

Thanks -joejoe
edit- will buy gift card of choice under 50$ as collateral as well/ also have 10$ gamestop giftcard at dispose for immediate use

The collateral has to be more than of value as compared to the loan, for obvious reasons...

115-120% is a valid collateral.

0.7BTC > $50+$10, even if the gift cards are taken at face value.
