281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: arbitrage problems on: January 28, 2019, 10:49:33 PM
So I decided last week and have found it to be a case "works on Paper"
I noticed an exchange with a BCH/USDT 50% higher than coinbase's price for BCH so eyes watering bought some as a test. It was just 50€ to see if it worked. It did not. The problem was the other exchanges BCH wallet was down so i couldn't deposit it in.
Not to be discouraged I have been looking at other arbitrage sites and opportunities and always have the same issue. Basically the wallet of the currency I want to trade in is down This was for EOS BAT and even LTC.

Is arbitrage possible or is it a case of if it seems too good to be true .....

Your mistake is one of most common in arbitrages.

Arbitrages are possible and profitable if you know what you are doing:

1. Always check deposit/withdraw status on both coins on both exchanges.
2. Always calculate the exchnage taker/maker trading fees + withdraw fees.
3. Don't mistake USD and USDT. USDT to USD vary a lot in term of arbitrages.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polymath Locks 75 Million Tokens for 5 Years on: January 28, 2019, 10:25:04 PM
5 years are way much time than I consider as safe period on any tech project.

The team really believe in the token and this will have a possessive short tem effect for sure. I opened a small long on Poly to test the water.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALL in CALL in Cardano JAN 2019? on: January 24, 2019, 03:56:54 PM
I've been waiting for almost a year for this coin to correct and when it hit $.028 in December, I thought about buying a huge chunk of it. Lo and behold, it climbed almost up to $.05. I just can't wait anymore and I just want to go all in at the current of price of $.042. I know this coin has a huge potential in the future, I just want to know what the community thinks about my opinion to go all in???

I will post my purchase and post it via Youtube for y'all to see.

I am trying to be calm like the water like this...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYfIJ9DXMZc&t=54s

Even if ADA is the best project in the world /it's not/, it's not a smart move to go all-in. In any project.
I don't see any new development around Cardano to make it worth more than a month ago or half a year. Even Tron are moving faster, buying Bittorrent.
284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Master Warlords - a Bitcoin Skill Based War Game on: January 24, 2019, 03:37:11 PM
I like the idea, but the game need some improvements:

1. Design - if you are after medieval effect of the site, you should work a little harder. Now the site looks like 90's homework instead of medieval game made in '19.
2. Game - the game looks sluggish, too slow. The battle from the demo video is very sluggish.

If you clear those and some other aspects, Master Warlords would become a masterpiece.
285  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptium - A truly decentralised, community-powered betting platform on: January 22, 2019, 03:10:37 PM
I see that in your github there is just the smart contract, not the linux application. Is possible to have the source code of the app?

In order to produce the first version of the betting app the soonest possible, we used a commercial template for the UI, so, at the moment, it’s not possible to release the source code of the app. The app itself is relying on an embedded service that exposes an API which provides all necessary info and functionality to the UI. We will surely consider our options for releasing that part of the code to the community but we need some extra time to decide exactly how we will open source the app without hampering our business model.

Then you can forget about any mass adoption.
As much as I love gambling and new betting sites, personally I will never install unknown build executable like yours. I value my coins more than unknown sites.
An open source application cannot 'hampering our business model' if people are using your smart contract.

We take feedback from the community very seriously and we do understand your concern about downloading and using a brand new app from the Internet. In order to minimize such concerns we have planned to take the following measures:
1) For Windows: the next major version of the Kryptium betting app will be “signed” using a certificate issued by a well-known authority
2) For macOS: the next major version of the Kryptium betting app will be “signed” using a standard Apple developer certificate
3) As mentioned above, at a later stage we will consider open-sourcing the code of our “front-end betting engine” so that people can use its API directly or for building their own versions of the betting app

In the meantime, you can always start playing with the app using small-size amounts and see how it goes – you won’t be disappointed . It’s not a wallet after all, it doesn’t have access to your funds and it will never ask you to confirm any transaction using your main wallet. The betting app has its own betting “wallet”, so that you can transfer only the amount you want to wager there and play without worrying about the app having access to any other funds of yours.

It's good that you are taking feedback seriously.

Having decentralised betting platform is great, but at this point your site in "text only". Even signed, I will not install anything just form curiosity. Make some screenshots of the UI, a short video introduction, etc.

286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost phone = No HITBTC 2FA code on: January 22, 2019, 03:03:49 PM
I need help. I lost my phone. How do I access my HITBTC account. The account had 2 FA activated. I cant find the QR back up code but i do have the key.. I have also changed from droid to iphone. Has this happened to anyone?

Instead of asking here, ask to the right place - Hitbtc support!
If you have your initial code backed up somewhere, you could enter in in any device and retrieve your 2FA.
Otherwise, the standard procedure in this case is photo+video verification and you will need to prepare an ID + Utility bill + Video of yourself saying you've lost your phone and need a 2FA reset.

288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins on: January 21, 2019, 06:25:17 PM
Early 2018 I had different altcoins via bounties, airdrops and small investment in ICOs. But the major mistake I made was waiting for bull run to come so I could sell and make large profit. But atlast the bull run never came. So I had to keep hodling till I got stocked in the Bear market.

I think you all should learn from my mistakes and never wait for bull run because nobody knows when the bull is coming because of the volatility of the market. Sell when you have decent profit and not waiting till you have a large profit. Thanks

I made the same mistake in 2018 with projects like DRGN and AIX, but I think I learned my lesson the hard way.
A month or two ago I decided to sell all those losers and never look back at. Then I decided to focus my time, energy and money on new projects, doing more due diligence.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: for those who trade on forkdelta, please answer my question. on: January 21, 2019, 06:03:08 PM
for those who trade on forkdelta, please answer my question.

For example, i logged in my ethereum wallet to forkdelta and i transfer a token from my ethereum wallet to the forkdelta wallet. and i put that token as sell order. We all know that when you do this, the token will not be in your wallet anymore, so my question is, what happen if your browsing data history got deleted. You lost your token right ?

To sell tokens at EtherDelta, first you need to deposit it (send it to their smart contract). So tokens are in the smart contract and the easiest way to check all your balances is site like

https://deltabalances.github.io/

From 'Token Balances' you could see what is in your wallet, what is in EtherDelta smart contract and what is in few other DEX.
From 'Trade History' you could see if somebody matched your order.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware/Paper Long-Term Security for Cold Storage on: January 21, 2019, 05:48:35 PM
Anyway which ones is better to Use..... What gives the Best Long-Term Storage and Security to the Holder?
Which ones are better? Of course hardware wallet. Apart from security, hardware wallet is simpler and easier to use.

For a real cold storage, I bought a laser engraver and made myself a metal (paper) wallets. But this is only for coins I want to save 10+ years.
<snip>
Yep. I think it's a truly safe way for long-term coin hodling. But it has a complicated making process - more expensive than hardware wallet (if we make it ourselves like you), and difficult to use (for sending coin).

Yes, it is harder for sending coins, but those wallets are make for storage, not for sending.

About the costs, I will disagree with you. It's cheaper than hardware wallets and much more fun, believe me. From aliexpress you could order 1000mW engraver for around $65 or 2000mW - 2000mW for $75-$120. You will use it just few times for engraving wallets, but then you could play many more times with different materials and stuff.

Try it and you will not be disappointed!
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Free until February 20) Arbitrage trading service between exchanges on: January 20, 2019, 04:35:07 PM
Interesting, I may try you.

Do you plan to add more exchanges? IDAX and Livecoin are using fake generated transaction to pump volume, and Poloniex and Huobi fees are way too high.
Binance, Okex and Bibox are fine. At Bibox you could pass with 0.05% fees if you use BIX.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil could lose $9 of it's value. In a week. on: January 20, 2019, 04:12:37 PM
I think you are wrong and it's more  likely prices of oil to goes a little up.

OPEK and Saudi Arabia are lowering production and nobody from the big names doesn't want a cheaper oil. I opened a long position 3 days ago.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware/Paper Long-Term Security for Cold Storage on: January 20, 2019, 12:49:00 PM
When it comes down to Storage of Cryptocurrency Long-Term many suggest Options Like Ledger, Trezor & Co.....

Sometimes you hear Paper Wallet, just the Limits of a pure Paper ( or metal ) Wallet is obvious ( sending is harder, Lose of the Paper)

Anyway which ones is better to Use..... What gives the Best Long-Term Storage and Security to the Holder?

For a real cold storage, I bought a laser engraver and made myself a metal (paper) wallets. But this is only for coins I want to save 10+ years.

For everyday use and storage I trusted my coins to Ledger Nano. Using a hardware wallet is smartest choice if you have more than 1 BTC.
294  Economy / Gambling / Re: New BTC Vip Sports & Casino Betting & Invest with 5% monthly on: January 19, 2019, 07:59:02 PM
How can you guarantee 5% per month ? I mean first thing that popped up is the 5% monthly. Are you that sure of making money from gamblers that you will be able to cover the 5% of the investments (considering the lowest is 1000 euro to begin with) for that to happen you need to make sure there is 5 times the gamblers than the investors (I assume house edge in games are about 1% like many other casinos in the crypto space) and considering 5% is 5 times the 1% house edge you would require 5 times the gamblers wagered compared to investors.

Agreed. %5 monthly sounds too good to be true and 1000€ minimum investment makes it a very risky deal as well. I would skip that. Make the minimum investment 100€ and only then maybe you can find some investors.

If this casino had a history in this forum for maybe 2 years, I would believe you but coming from a newbie member with 3 activity points, it smells more like a scam than a decent deal.

5% from arbitrages are not so hard target.
The problem here is that OP site is 10000% ponzi and I'm 1000000% sure that he doesn't do any arbitrages. OP is just trying to steal out money and everybody must stay away.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Games Survey on: January 19, 2019, 05:47:09 PM
Hello, Dear Community!

...

You can't expect any valuable feedback without giving more details or showing some beta/mvp.
Id you plan to develop just another ERC-721 collectable, it's pointless without adding some unique features.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Tether? on: January 18, 2019, 09:33:24 PM
Many people use  The Tether[USDT] as there Safe ´´Wallet´´ so they Purchase it and Tether always keeps up the Same Price as you can see it doesnt really went down since 6 Months
My Question about it Do you use Tether to?

I rarely use tether but would do in such a scenario as you described, only short term though. Long term tether is not backed by anything and if there is a run on it then it can easily drop below a 1:1 ratio with usd.

This is exactly why I'm NOT using Tether. It's far away from 1:1 with USD.
Even current ratio 1.02 to 1 and I've been watching it in past 3 month varying from 0.97 to 1.03. For somebody those 6% maybe sound like a stable coin, but not to me. It's affecting my trades badly.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOStoken (IOST) thoughts about this one? on: January 18, 2019, 07:46:42 PM
I don't understand what the mission of IOST is. I also share a view of other fellow posters that this token/project doesn't look special at all.

IOST are trying to solve the BTC main problem - speed and transaction per second. And they will launch mainnet soon!
It's having a decent daily volume and the price is slowly going up after the terrible 2018 for all. I think IOST have a future and the price in BTC will double in next 1-3 months.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are buying BTC in 2019 because you think it is Bitcoin, you are being foo on: January 18, 2019, 07:35:13 PM
What do you expect from Roger Ver except promoting his immature work Bitcoin Cash?! The only fooled are his followers.

But even Ver doesn't want to miss the commission money and you could buy both BCH and BTC at his site.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] ETH instant reward + tokens [POVR] PLANET FOR ADULTS on: January 15, 2019, 06:09:25 PM
Hi,

I'm getting out of your signature campaign.

The new rule: "5. Posts made only in these boards will be counted: Altcoin Discussion, Announcements (Altcoins), Mining, and your local (non-English) boards dedicated only to Announcements and Mining" is leading to unnecessary spam.

Good luck with the project.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bill Gates & Richard Branson 1.2 billion investment into bitcoin revolution! on: January 15, 2019, 04:30:30 PM
I found this on msn new and is verry hard to find on search engine. I dont know if it real but did come from msn and says cnn tech.

https://celebworldnews.space/cnn-news-bill-gates-invests-in-bitcoin/?hit=504839534458190384

This is 99% fake. You should start using your brain. When you see a domain with name like "celebworldnews.space", a red light must auto-turn on.
Anyway, Bitcoin is 10 years old and not a revolution. VC looks for new products, not a 10y old chain.
