Hello,

Quote
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]
Examples:

1. Such posts as "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

Here are links to users posting exactly this:

This isn't where you report posts. Use the "Report to Moderator" link on the bottom right side of said posts (if you haven't already) if they break the forums rules and wait. Sooner or later someone from the staff team will take a look at your reports.
282  Economy / Auctions / Signature space - Global Moderator - 5900+ posts - min. bid 0.02 BTC on: August 08, 2019, 03:49:25 PM
I'm auctioning off my signature. The rules for this auction are:

  • No NSFW content.
  • No scams or shady businesses.
  • No [glow] tags.
  • I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.
  • I have the right to shorten, extend, restart or cancel the auction at any point in time.
  • If a user's rank is lower than Member and the bid increase (compared to the last valid bid) is bigger than 0.005 BTC, he has to send in the bid (or the increase if it's not the user's first bid) to 3PL5BStNmwzn8YfEfx4NX2vm5ZYgyeJ92c or the bid is invalid. If the user in question doesn't win the auction, the bid amount minus the miner fee (may vary; depends on current state of Bitcoin) will be sent back.
  • If the service turns out to be a scam, I'll remove the ad and your money will not be refunded.
  • The auction winner must provide payment and the signature ad code within 48 hours of a request via PM.
  • Your signature will have an "Advertisement: " text before it, a notice and should fit within the following example:

Quote

Advertisment:
<Advertisement here>
|  Some sort of
|  text of mine
  |  Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.
  |  Advertise in my signature

The minimum bid is 0.02 BTC, the bids should be evenly divisible by 0.005 BTC. The auction will end on September 4th when this thread is closed if there is at least 1 valid bid. If there isn't one, it'll end 3 days after the first valid bid is placed. The winner's advertisement will run for 1 month.

Examples for both valid and invalid bids:
Quote
0.02 BTC <------- VALID
0.01 BTC <------- INVALID, lower than minimum bid

0.03 BTC <------- VALID
0.0325 BTC <------- INVALID, bid is not evenly divisible by 0.005 BTC

0.10 BTC <------- VALID
0.2556642 BTC <------- INVALID,  bid is not evenly divisible by 0.005 BTC

P.S. Custom offers (that DO NOT include me removing either of the advertisement notices ("Advertisment:") or ("Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.") ) are welcome via PM though keep in mind that the price of advertising will be much higher.

Hi everybody,

I would appreciate if you could confirm is sex proposal for BTC, threats against Girfriends and wives, accusing.lithuanian to be Mazzis, and insukts and explicit sex.proposal are supported by the rules of the forum?

Hi Together

JimmySlander made a good comment here. There is one person with several accounts insulting people badly! Even with some insults ready to be investigated deeper! But moderators keep deleting our posts with facts (Offtopic) but the Insult posts of mosprognoz are still there?

This actually looks very bad to the Forum and makes it questionable!
Read the OP before you post next time:

Q: Do you moderate/delete (possible) FUD, accusations and untrue information?
A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.

However, trolling isn't allowed. If a user is habitually posting obviously false nonsense ("obviously false nonsense" to an outsider, NOT to someone who follows or is involved in the discussion) just to stir up trouble, then it's considered trolling, which is prohibited. Such cases should be thoroughly documented in the report though (There are tons of reports that just say "trolling", but moderators don't have time to look through each user's post).

Q: Someone insulted me. Why aren't you deleting his post/thread?
A: Possible (since we don't have the time or resources to check) insults are also allowed as long as they contain any kind of constructive opinion, info or something else substantial and aren't off-topic. For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

There is new link to Croatian translation of Bitcointalk rules:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4611641.0

This one that is on your list isn't working anymore(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182311.0).

Please update the list.
Removed the retired one and added the new one, thanks for the heads up. Updated a year ago, but I guess that's better than literally nothing  Undecided.
285  Other / Meta / Re: mobile.css not work for me when using mobile on: July 26, 2019, 02:41:02 PM
This is all the CSS that's present in that file:

Code:
body
{
padding: 1px 3px 0 3px;
}

span.prevnext a:link {font-size:500%}
span.prevnext a:visited {font-size:500%}
span.prevnext a:hover {font-size:500%}
span.prevnext a:active {font-size:500%}

#smfheader
{
display:none
}

.titlebg, tr.titlebg th, tr.titlebg td, .titlebg2, tr.titlebg2 th, tr.titlebg2 td
{
color: black;
font-style: normal;
background: inherit;
background-color: #C3D1DC;
border-bottom: none;
border-top: none;
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 0;
}

#hellomember
{
font-size:small !important;
}

.maintab_back, .maintab_active_back
{
padding: 2px 2px 2px 2px;
}

.maintab_first
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}
.maintab_back
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}
.maintab_last
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}
.maintab_active_first
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}
.maintab_active_back
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}
.maintab_active_last
{
background: inherit;
background-color:#7392B0;
}

#toppages{display:none}
.newtxt:after{content:"[new]"}
.newtxt{color:#000099;font-weight:bold;font-size:larger}
.newimg{display:none}

Chances are it is working and the changes are simply very minimal (glancing over it, seems like mostly minor font size, color and spacing changes to certain elements).

Strangely, these posts have been marked as bad. Other high-spam users have also been cleared for similar posts.

Yeah sure i use cash for everyday usage if i have to, to pay bills, some real life goods or anything else related to a daily life scenario.
In case there are no available crypto payment methods you will still need to use fiat (cash).

Anyway i find your project quite interesting actually. Will take a closer look when it's started within your 16 days countdown.
so do I, where cash is needed in my country. to meet daily needs, pay bills, or eat at a restaurant, fiat money is used. there has been no breakthrough from the government to announce the legalization of crypto use as a means of payment

If warren Buffet hold millions of bitcoin........
Foolish or low iq is i think will depend from person to person  . warren buffet for example is an educated guy , he is smart so he isnt a fool or a low iq person  . if he dont sell his coins at the pump , he cant still be consider as a fool/low iq but he can be consider smart or wise because he knows that bitcoin can grew more in the future and he can get alot of profit as much as when he sells his coins at an early pump  .
many factors that influence success in investing. in addition to intelligence, we are still faced with a psychological attack at any time with high price fluctuations. on the other hand experience also determines, if someone has experience with the market, of course he will be better prepared to face the market
(post 54)

Cryptocurrency banks are already starting to work, and we will not get anywhere. Different ways of interacting with each other cryptocurrencies and banks are inevitable. The whole question is whether the services of such banks will be in demand and whether such activities will be beneficial to the banks themselves. If the demand for specific services in cryptocurrency, such as lending in cryptocurrency, is, then such banks will exist and develop. I do not see anything bad for cryptocurrency.
right, both of them should not be like the competition itself. but the government must be able to sort out by giving policies between the bank and cryptocurrency to be able to run both of them, without dropping each other
(post 66)

right, I think they only think of themselves, regardless of where the market will run. when there are coins that are worth investing in, if we lack knowledge, it would be better to invest in clear coins
(post 43)

Thanks for sharing your story and your concern, trading is not for everybody it is time-consuming and you should have a good concentration to analyze every chart movement, this is something not everyone can do if you think you are feeling uneasy then maybe he suffered the same thing OP has, although it's very profitable, it's not for everybody.
trading is not for those who are in a hurry, and you are right, even trading requires a large enough concentration to avoid losses. for now, I also avoid trading. maybe this is not healthy because it stresses many people when their plans are not what they want.
I think the stressed person is not a good trader, because trading is a possibility. if the candle moves not according to plan, of course we must find the cause. the market is never wrong
(post 479)
I've marked some of your reports as bad since they were duplicates (as in you've reported the same post twice or more) so it could be that.
292  Economy / Auctions / Re: Signature space - Global Moderator - 5800+ posts - min. bid 0.02 BTC on: July 11, 2019, 09:35:49 PM
Im a total newbie and I dont understand your post.  Are you selling your user account?  But I am looking to buy advertising on bitcointalk, is that related?
I'm renting out the space beneath my posts (the signature) for users to put ads there. If you're looking to advertise, yes, this is one venue. If you are asking if this is the official advertising spot for Bitcointalk, no, this isn't that.
293  Other / Meta / Re: I don't understand this Ban Reason. Help is appreciated. on: July 04, 2019, 08:09:54 AM
You were banned for participating in the BlockchainMediaGroup media campaign which required you to post on their ANN thread.
294  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN] Deleting Bounty Topics on: July 03, 2019, 09:50:05 AM
Since you are already aware what you were banned for, I won't repeat myself. The last thread, while not requiring users to post in the ANN thread, broke a subset of the "no on-forum altcoin giveaways" rule. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0. Next time, before you start a new thread in a board, read through that board's stickies.

Your threads will not be restored. Wait out your ban and don't ban evade (you, as in you as a person, can only post in Meta and only about appealing your ban; using any new or old account to post anywhere else is considered ban evasion) or else that 60 day ban may become a permanent one. Unless you can prove that your bounties did not contain an incentive to post in ANN threads (which would be a 200 IQ 4D chess move if you did), I will not accept ban appeals. You can try appealing your ban to theymos, but don't hold your breath. Most likely you're going to have to wait it out.

296  Other / Meta / Re: Do you really think this is normal? on: June 28, 2019, 02:35:33 PM
a) the bounty / airdrop / giveaway / whatever doesn't require them.
b) the bounty / airdrop / giveaway / whatever is breaking the rules.
c) the user is already prohibited from participating on the forum (e.g. his other account got banned)

I've updated the stickied thread to clarify what I mean by "not required" or "not allowed"
What if they have not stated they require the posts on their thread but are requiring it on their discord? Are you looking that into depth or should be stated on their bounty thread that these proof of authentication posts are required? I would like to help reporting stuff in the bounty sub forum but have never really understood the specifics of authentication posts.
Stating it in outside sources is fine as well (though there could be some edge cases I haven't considered). I'd limit the reporting to cases where the giveaway breaks the forum's rules or the OP explicitly stated that he doesn't require users to post PoA posts. If you're 100% (or at least like 99%) sure that there is no requirement to post PoA posts (a quick Google / DuckDuckGo / Startpage search will usually reveal something if there is one), go ahead and report them.
297  Other / Meta / Re: Do you really think this is normal? on: June 28, 2019, 02:19:29 PM
mprep stated
Quote
Users posting "joined" type posts when not required or allowed will be BANNED
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2284371.0

My questions to mprep and the admins:
1. Are those Proof of Authentication posts considered "joined" type of posts?
2. If it is a requirement of the bounty to post such a post then a user can't be banned for it, correct?
3. When is it allowed and when not?

Even if such posts were allowed they would be against the 1st rule of Bitcointalk:
Quote
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads

I think that is best to be answered by one of the admins or global mods. Because the rules are kind of conflicting one with the other.
1. Depends on the type of activity they are posting the proof of authentication posts for. If the OP doesn't require users to post PoA posts or said posts are for a giveaway that's breaking the forum's rules, that's not allowed and participants can get banned for it. Otherwise, (at least IMO, other mods might disagree so take this with a grain of salt) there shouldn't be a limit as to how many proof of authentication posts you can post. All of the activity they generate is already localized to the Bounties (Altcoins) board so if a user only wishes to participate in bounties and nothing else, I don't see the harm in it.

2. Not always, see answer 1:
Quote
If <...> said posts are for a giveaway that's breaking the forum's rules, that's not allowed and participants can get banned for it

3. It's all outlined in the stickies in Bounties (Altcoins). The very rough (seriously, read the stickied threads) tl;dr of it is that PoA posts are prohibited when:

a) the bounty / airdrop / giveaway / whatever doesn't require them.
b) the bounty / airdrop / giveaway / whatever is breaking the rules.
c) the user is already prohibited from participating on the forum (e.g. his other account got banned)

I've updated the stickied thread to clarify what I mean by "not required" or "not allowed"
298  Other / Meta / Re: Have a whole forum for the Satoshi topics on: June 25, 2019, 03:37:54 PM
As with all sub-forum requests, I'm gonna ask a question - how many topics about Satoshi are currently on the first 3 or so pages of any board? Or on several boards combined? If there aren't enough topics (at least 20 on the frontpage and around 10 on later pages in my experience) to fill a board (meaning such topics do not dominate the discussion sphere of an existing board), what's the point of making a new section that'll be dead on arrival.

Q: Why do I get the "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago." error when I haven't posted today?
A: Logging in, sending PMs and reporting posts to a moderator will also be counted as posting and extend this limit back to 360 seconds. Don't worry: as your activity increases, the 360 second limit will decrease as well. Here you can see the algorithm how the posting limit is caluclated based on your activity: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237597.msg4131557#msg4131557

Good catch, fixed both. A user PMed me about the second one a while ago but I didn't get around to fixing it until now.

Ask theymos (see rule 24's explanation for details).

The updated Trust (as well as Trust flag) FAQ questions are still in progress. Might take a while, might not - really depends on when I find the time and energy to sit down, research and write them.
