282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many projects are dead? on: October 11, 2018, 10:40:37 PM
Somewhere around 99% of altcoins will be dead within the next year. The vast majority of coins are absolutely trash, there is no way they can survive for the nexr year based on trading alone, there actually has to be some reason for growth like updates or team acquisitions etc.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace bank? on: October 11, 2018, 10:38:11 PM
Blockchain will work with the banks, I don't think it will replace it.

They are completely different entities, I think that most banks will look to incorporate blockchain into their work flow in order to mediate payment transfers between countries, rather than actually moving funds around as they do now. Place holder funds are the future.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another December Bull run on: October 11, 2018, 10:35:46 PM
Absolutely not.

We're already midway through October, and there is no bull run in sight. People have been teasing a bull run since the beginning of the year.

I actually think that we wont see one until some time in the next 2-3 years.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: October 11, 2018, 10:34:18 PM
Most crypto projects are just trying to conform to uncertain regulations, AML and KYC have their place in this. I don't think it's strictly necessary, but I think most projects are just doing as much as they can to ensure they don't get shut down or fined. Right now it's extremely difficult to know exactly what is required when the rules are changing so frequently.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: October 11, 2018, 10:31:48 PM
Every market is down right now, not just the crypto ones. Stock got his even worse than Bitcoin, losing about 10-15% of its value in a single day.

Both were in a huge bubble, so it was definitely coming sooner or later.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GODcoin - Proof-Of-Stake on: October 11, 2018, 10:30:59 PM
Looks like nobody is interested in your coin. You will need a huge marketing effort to survive in 2018, doesn't look like you have much of a marketing budget based on the quality of that promo image.

Also, God doesn't exist. Despite the allusions your project name makes.
288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin reach $100,000 in two years? Bitcoin statistics and predictions on: October 10, 2018, 06:53:26 PM
Personally I think we will be lucky if we even see $20,000 by the end of NEXT year. I think that would be best case scenario as a bull wave doesn't look like it's coming any time soon. I think that $100k is certainly possible, but it will take about 10 years I think.
289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can get information of pump coins? on: October 10, 2018, 06:51:46 PM
You can join one of the literally thousands of pump groups, though be warned, you are going to lose your money because they are ALL a scam.

Don't believe any lies, they are trying to trick you, you will find out the hard way I can tell your type.
290  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: October 10, 2018, 06:49:59 PM
Money is no longer transferred between hands, so at least cash money is not necessary. However, fiat money is still necessary as it is the fabric that binds together corporations, governments and individuals, without it there would be no link between them, and until we have a viable alternative it is necessary.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: Beginning of the end for the stockmarket on: October 10, 2018, 06:48:46 PM
Well the stock market appears to be in one huge bubble, just like the crypto industry saw last year. It will eventually pop, taking the majority of the big companies down with it, it's just a matter of when this will happen. In any case, there will always be space for IPOs, just because the market might crash, doesn't mean they'll simply disappear, I mean look at ICOs, they're still everywhere.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin: I do not plan to leave Ethereum in the foreseeable future on: October 10, 2018, 06:47:00 PM
How about a damn fucking source to this? You can't just come out and quote things without listing a source. Recently Vitalik said that he is considering leaving Ethereum, so until you prove otherwise that is still the case.

People like you annoy me.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: between whitepapper and reality on: October 10, 2018, 06:44:30 PM
By now people should understand that Whitepaper is a marketing tool, can anyone compare the whitepaper of Bitcoin to any of the recent ICOs, Whitepaper should be more of technical details unlike what we are seeing now that all its talks about is about marketing pitch. People need to wise up or these people will continue to scam you

That's the problem, people don't know this. They expect that that a whitepaper is a prediction of the future, rather than an absolute best case scenario which very few projects actually manage to attain. The whitepaper is very unimportant now, the main thing is actually the team composition and experience.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TAUCoin “Proof of Transaction” - features debate and bounty for 12 months on: October 10, 2018, 06:41:43 PM
You mention that the TAU foundation will be swapping 60,000 TAU per swap during Tau-X, can you confirm the exchange rate these will be swapped at?

I see great potential for this coin, it just needs to get some actual utility rather than just being a coin.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts coin vs BTC on: October 10, 2018, 06:40:02 PM
Some altcoins have the potential to be more profitable than BTC, but predicting those is easier said than done without heavy research.

If you are on the forum looking for answers to such an involved and complex question then expect to be disappointed.

Search for the next EOS, NEO and ADA, they are surely out there, you just have to do the manual work.
296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of coin are you waiting for on the pump? on: October 10, 2018, 06:39:03 PM
I personally believe that coins such as ADA, NEO and LOOM and LISK will pump the most during the next bull run (if there ever is one again). Most ERC20 tokens will not pump except for the very best ones. I think that for the most part all the coins with smart contract potential are going to see the biggest gains.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum fail if Vitalik dies? on: October 04, 2018, 11:16:39 PM
I suspect it will take a really big hit if he does die, I mean without megamind behind the project, surely it's not going to be a strong right?

I don't think we're at any risk of that though, and it's not like it's a one man job, there are tens of thousands of people who worked together to make Ethereum as popular as it is today.
298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What amount did you start to trade? on: October 04, 2018, 11:14:19 PM
I started trading with very small amounts, somewhere close to 0.001-0.002 until I got the hang of the markets and became more aware of the risks involved.

Now I tend to trade with around 0.01-0.03 on a bet, sometimes more if I think there is a really certain opportunity.

Don't jump in too fast, noob losses can really screw you over.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: October 04, 2018, 10:59:41 PM
I personally keep the smallest fraction of my coins in exchange wallets, because we all know they're basically HOT wallets which can be hacked at any time.

Remember, exchanges have a horrible track history of getting hacked, so store a lot of money at your own risk. The rest of my money is stored in my mobile wallet as I use it regularly.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need For An ICOs Tracker on: October 04, 2018, 10:58:18 PM
Well these types of copycat projects are extremely rare,I doubt there would be much activity on the site.

You need to get quite unlucky to keep encountering copied ICOs.

Stick to the trending ICOs and look into them thoroughly, if a lot of eyes on a project, somebody will notice if it's suspicious.
