Exactly.

Jeb Bush (Florida Gov., with FLA Supreme Court,) helped DUH-Bull-You (George W.) steal the election from Al Gore in 2000.

I was quite peeved about this theft when it happened and afterward.  I still am though I now feel that as bad as President Cheney and his little puppet were, had it not happened we very well may not have a country at all today.

It is to my deep humiliation that I have to admit thinking that Gore 'would have been one of our better presidents.'  I was a fool for going so long not taking the time to explore the whole 'new world order' thing as a viable hypothesis.  Like so many others on the Left, I defered on the basis that it was 'some right-wing conspiricy theory' and thus probably a waste of time.  When I finally did I found the hypothesis to have vast explanitory and predictive power.  A related and refined branch of the general NWO hypothesis concerns 'Technocracy.'  When I dived into that subject I found it a really a tight fit.

Do you remember how hard it was to differentiate gore's to bush's policies during the debates? I do.

Facebook censorship of individual member pages is not just limited to the United States.  On Wednesday, Facebook deleted the personal account/page of Ingrid Carlqvist, the Gatestone Institute's Swedish expert. Her offense was posting a video news report she created for Gatestone that discussed an almost 1,500% increase in rapes in Sweden. Ms. Carlqvist suggests the increase of rapes may be attributable to the mass influx of immigrants coming mainly from Muslim countries such as Iraq, Syria and Somalia.
Compare this to how Julian Assange was treated for purported rape in Sweden!

Yep.

Initially I was confused about the rationale behind holding up a Mexican flag at a U.S. political rally, then I figured out what is going on:

These poor Mexicans came up North on vacation or something and got lost!  When they were asking for directions about how to get home someone gave them some mis-information as a joke and they ended up at a Trump rally.  Probably George Soros having a little fun.  Anyway, the flag is a desperate cry for help.  I myself am not a flag waver so I can see what a powerful feeling these people must have for the great nation of Mexico that they would carry the flag around and display it.  It is heatbreaking to see these poor lost souls missing their nation so.  Being the big-hearted American that I am, I'm in favor of giving them a lift to the other side of the wall so they can get back to the home that they love so much.

If these lost souls did find some things to like about the U.S. while they were on their visit, they could work toward re-creating them down South of the border.  I'm sure that Vincente Fox and his billionaire pals would love to work with them to make that happen.

---

More seriously, one cannot help but notice the benefit these acts of violence are having toward substanciating the fears of the reactionary Right and galvanizing people behind a movement which promises to 'build a wall.'  As is my nature, I always have to hold open a hypothesis that the violence is actually engineered by elements of the TRUMP side.   Standard cui bono?

I don't believe this hypothesis to be correct in part because I notice that Trump's strategy seems to be mainly his.  So far his strategy has been clever but completely ethical.  It consists mainly of skillful trolling and 'harm' in such an operation is directly attributable to a weakness of the victims themselves.  Also, it would be terribly risky and desperate and it is the Left who are both prone to such strategies and in a desperate enough place to need to employ them.

---

Another very interesting thing is that ABC and George Snuffilufagus have been out in front of a fast pack in underhanded media attacks on Trump.  Suddenly they changed their tune and if anything overplayed the recent violence in San Jose.  Very interesting.  Why day do dat?

I suggest the possibility that the mainstream media has shifted strategy to actually utilize the 'terrorism' that these thugs have been cultivating.  That is to say, they are now actively trying to discourage citizens from attending Trump rallys due to personal safety concerns.

The safety concern of the American citizens will be managed by the 1 million bikers ready to help clean the trash out.

Police Fire Tear Gas As Hundreds Of Venezuelans Chant Outside Presidential Palace, “We Want Food!”

CARACAS Venezuelan security forces fired teargas at protesters chanting "We want food!" near Caracas' presidential palace on Thursday, the latest street violence in the crisis-hit OPEC nation.

Hundreds of angry Venezuelans heading toward Miraflores palace in downtown Caracas were met by National Guard troops and police who blocked a major road.

President Nicolas Maduro, under intense pressure over a worsening economic crisis in the South American nation of 30 million, had been scheduled to address a rally of indigenous groups nearby around the same time.

The protest spilled out of long lines at shops in the area, witnesses said, after some people tried to hijack a food truck.

"I've been here since eight in the morning. There's no more food in the shops and supermarkets," one woman told pro-opposition broadcaster Vivoplay.

"We're hungry and tired."

The government accused opposition politicians of inciting the chaos but said security forces had the situation under control.

Despite their country having the world's biggest oil reserves, Venezuelans are suffering severe shortages of consumer goods ranging from milk to flour, soaring prices and a shrinking economy.

Maduro blames the fall in global oil prices and an "economic war" by his foes, whom he also accuses of seeking a coup.

"Every day, they bring out violent groups seeking violence in the streets," he said in a speech at the indigenous rally, which went ahead near Miraflores later in the day. "And every day, the people reject them and expel them."

Critics say Venezuela's economic chaos is the consequence of failed socialist policies for the last 17 years, especially price and currency controls.

The opposition wants a referendum this year to recall Maduro. Protests over shortages, power cuts and crime occur daily, and looting and lynchings are on the rise.

Several local journalists said they were robbed during Thursday's chaos in downtown Caracas.

The government's top economic official, Miguel Perez, acknowledged the hardships Venezuelans were undergoing but promised the situation would improve.

"We know this month has been really critical. It's been the month with the lowest supply of products. That's why families are anxious," he told local radio.

"We guarantee things will improve in the next few weeks."

Bernie's wrecking crew

Sanders' New York delegation is threatening to sow chaos on the convention floor.

Call them Hillary’s home-state haters.

A group of rabble-rousing Bernie Sanders supporters from New York is headed for the Democratic National Convention next month as hand-picked, at-large delegates -- and they’re threatening to make trouble for Hillary Clinton at the very moment she hopes to make history as the first female nominee of either party and unite Democrats for the coming battle with Donald Trump.

The disgruntled Sanders delegation, heading to Philadelphia with deep reservations about Clinton’s brand of center-left pragmatism, serves as a reminder of how contentious the four-day meeting could become, and a warning to Democrats of the importance of bringing Sanders happily into the fold.

Some 20,000 protesters are reportedly planning anti-Clinton protests outside of the convention hall. But interviews with members of Sanders’ New York delegation reveal that supporters of the Vermont senator are also considering bringing some of those protests inside the Wells Fargo Center itself — raising the prospect of an embarrassing spectacle on prime-time TV.

These are not the kind of people who just fall in line.

California Wants to Let Illegal Immigrants Enroll in Obamacare

A bill that would allow illegal immigrants to buy Obamacare plans with their own money is headed to the desk of California Gov. Jerry Brown, after the state Senate passed the measure Thursday.

While President Obama's healthcare law bans illegal immigrants from purchasing Obamacare plans, California is trying to partially change that through what's known as a 1332 waiver. If Brown signs the new measure into law, it would allow the state to petition the federal government to let it allow illegal immigrants to buy plans through Covered California, although they couldn't get federal subsidies.

If California obtains the waiver, it would become the first state to expand the Affordable Care Act to illegal immigrants.

"Covered California should be able to live up to its name and serve all Californians, regardless of immigration status," said Anthony Wright, director of the consumer advocacy group Health Access California.

"People who have different viewpoints on immigration policy can come together in recognition that it is everyone's interest to connect as many Californians with coverage, and prevent the health and financial issues for not just uninsured families but the community as a whole."

The measure passed with bipartisan support in both the state House and the Senate, although the question of allowing illegal immigrants to buy Obamacare plans remains controversial elsewhere. California recently has made some other moves to expand benefits to illegal immigrants, last month extending full benefits to immigrant children enrolled in the state's low-income insurance program, Medi-Cal.

The waiver California is seeking wouldn't make subsidies available to illegal immigrants. But it would allow them to use their own money to buy plans on Covered California, the state's Obamacare marketplace, instead of having to buy directly from insurers.

The end of the money system is near.

The only place the government gets money is through loans from the Federal Reserve Bank.

The $amounts of the loans is based on the ability to repay, which is based on income taxes collected.

No jobs means less income, means less taxes collected, means the government can't borrow as much.

If government has less money (remember, they have to make interest payments to the FED to keep from defaulting on their many loans that they have right now), where are they going to cut spending? Welfare? Military? Federal grants?

If they cut welfare, they will lose the country. FEMA camps are already being used. Civil/revolutionary war.

If they cut the military, they will lose the world.

Time for people to unite in co-ops like they did in the Great Depression.

I read in a column somewhere that Marcuse's point in writing Repressive Tolerance was that the Weimar Republic should have cracked down hard on the Nazis: his argument hinged on this point, in that free speech is 'repressive' because it allows people like Hitler to get through & take over.

When I read that, I realized that Marcuse was one of those guys who got stuck in an awful past & yearned to refight a huge battle long lost in which the bad guys won. Had he been around & published his work today, it'd be surprisingly easy to flip off his work in a kindly way.

Namely: "This book Repressive Tolerance was written by a man afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the horrors of Nazism and the Holocaust. The poor fellow is locked into a psychological time warp common in PTSD sufferers. Should be of interest to amateur psychologists and those who want to see what suffering from PTSD does to a full-fledged scholar."

The above is the gentle way to keep his type from stirring up trouble. Heck, it might well be true.

If you have time, try to link the column here so I could read it.

Of course you have to strive for full employment, but hovering around the 5% mark is a great success and as long as it's sustained then the US is in a good position. It's easy to say "they have slowed down" but it's more like operating close to maximum capacity - it gets increasingly harder to do better.

U.S. hiring slowed to a near-standstill in May, sowing doubts about the economy’s health and complicating the Federal Reserve’s efforts to raise interest rates.

While unemployment slid from 5 percent to 4.7 percent, the lowest since November 2007, the rate fell for a troubling reason: Nearly a half-million jobless Americans stopped looking for work and so were no longer counted as unemployed.

Employers added just 38,000 jobs in May, the fewest in over five years.

U.S. hiring slowed to a near-standstill in May, sowing doubts about the economy’s health and complicating the Federal Reserve’s efforts to raise interest rates.

Less-educated workers bore the brunt of the hiring slump, with a quarter-million high school dropouts losing their jobs in May. That has perpetuated a long-term trend toward a two-tiered job market, with college-educated adults more likely to be employed and earning steady raises.

“The shockingly low payrolls gain in May provides further evidence that the economy is showing clear signs of slowing,” said Laura Rosner, an economist at BNP Paribas.

The much-weaker-than-expected figure raised doubts that the Federal Reserve will increase short-term interest rates at its next meeting in mid-June or perhaps even at its subsequent meeting in July. Many analysts had expected an increase by July.

On Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average closed down 32 points, for a loss of 0.2 percent.

The disappointing report spilled into the presidential race, with Donald Trump referring to it on Twitter as a “terrible jobs report” and a “bombshell.” The figures come just days after President Barack Obama touted his economic record in Elkhart, Indiana.

Americans particularly worried about the economy have been more likely to support outsider candidates such as Trump and Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Trump’s support has also come disproportionately from adults without college degrees, and Friday’s report served as a stark reminder that less-educated Americans have continued to lose economic ground even as overall hiring and growth have picked up since the Great Recession.

Essentially all of the 7 million jobs added over the past decade belong to workers with at least some college experience. The number of high school graduates with jobs is 3 million lower than 10 years ago.

“The high school jobs are gone and they’re not coming back,” said Anthony Carnevale, director of the Georgetown University Center on Education and Workforce. “It’s driven by a fundamental shift from an industrial economy to a post-industrial economy.”

Craig Lloyd, 27, has mostly worked part-time jobs in restaurants in Wichita, Kansas, since graduating from high school 10 years ago. Some paid as little as minimum wage, while his most recent position as a sous-chef paid $12 an hour.

Three months ago, he started his own business selling burritos out of a friend’s food truck on weekends.

His wife is returning to school to get her degree, but he doesn’t plan to do so himself. “I’ve really put off getting a higher education, because of the debt that you can incur,” Lloyd said.

Obama: America is not in decline, Trump lacks ‘magic wand’ to grow economy (June 1, 2016)

ELKHART, Ind. — President Obama defended his economic record on Wednesday during a visit to an Indiana city that has come to symbolize the nation’s uneven recovery, saying that he created millions of new jobs and questioning Republican Donald Trump’s ability to steer the economy in the right direction.

In a far-ranging interview and town-hall event with PBS NewsHour in Elkhart, Obama touted the economic gains seen under his watch in hard-hit counties like Elkhart, where the unemployment rate soared to nearly 20 percent soon after he took office.

Unemployment in the county, which the Obama administration used as a touchstone early on to gauge its economic recovery plan, now stands at roughly four percent.

“We’re going to have to make sure that we make some good decisions going forward, but the notion that somehow America is in decline is just not born out by the facts.”

“We’re going to have to make sure that we make some good decisions going forward, but the notion that somehow America is in decline is just not born out by the facts,” Obama said in an interview with the NewsHour’s Gwen Ifill.

Nevertheless, in the interview and a town hall held immediately after in downtown Elkhart, the president acknowledged that many people around the country remain worried about making ends meet.

“Even though we’ve recovered, people feel like the ground under their feet isn’t quite as solid,” Obama said. “If they’re feeling insecure, and they’re offered a simple reason to be more secure, people are going to be tempted by it.”

The comment was clearly aimed at Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee. Trump’s populist economic message has energized millions of voters, but his critics — including Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee — have long argued that Trump does not have the experience or gravity to lead the country.

The president declined to invoke the real estate mogul’s full name, saying that he would let Trump “do his advertising for him.”

But Obama criticized Trump’s claims that he could use his business acumen to spur economic growth and tackle other complex issues.

“He just says, ‘I’m gonna negotiate a better deal.’ Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that?” Obama said during the town hall portion of the event. “What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.”

....    What does that mean? It means that a producer who resides in Colorado cannot legally buy a gun in Arizona unless that gun is shipped to an FFL in Colorado, whereby that FFL confirms that the Colorado resident can legally own that firearm.

So driven by their anti-Second Amendment agenda it looks like Couric and her team were willing to not only violate journalistic ethics but also federal law......

Next:  Couric's adventures in women's prison as personal bitch of the white supremicist gang leader.

Katie, get your gun lawyer.

By now you’ve probably heard about Katie Couric’s new anti-gun documentary “Under The Gun,” and how her producer doctored video of interviews with gun owners in order to make them look stupid and heartless. Couric’s producer and director, Stephanie Soechtig, admitted to doctoring the video, and Couric herself kinda sorta apologized for it.

But that’s not the worst thing that happened with the making of this documentary. It turns out that Couric’s production team deliberately conspired to violate federal gun laws. According to video obtained by Ammoland, a shooting sports news website, one of Couric’s producers deliberately committed at least four separate felonies by purchasing four separate firearms across state lines without a background check.

In the video, Soechtig openly admits that she directed one of her employees to purchase guns across state lines, and that he absolutely followed her orders:

A video was posted to YouTube by ‘Lawyerman’ that shows the complete attack by a horde of Mexican flag waving #NeverTrump thugs on a woman wearing a ‘Trump 45’ jersey just outside a Marriott hotel in San Jose following a rally by presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday.

The 2:59 video shows the mob advancing as the woman retreats toward to the main entrance of the Marriott. The woman is seen showing the mob she is not intimidated by gesturing to and showing off her ‘Trump 45’ jersey.

For that she was set upon by the angry mob. The man filming the mob fled after the first barrage but continued filming through the safety of the glass walls of the Marriott lobby.

The woman in the ‘Trump 45’ jersey approached the doors but was not let in even as she was pelted with eggs and the braying, Mexican-flag wielding mob inched ever closer to her. Security guards can be seen pulling the doors closed as she tries to get in. Even as she retreated, the woman defied the mob, not backing down in her support of Trump’s candidacy.

The woman moved to another door of the Marriott entrance where she was backed into a corner. After receiving more abuse, she was finally let in the lobby.

It is notable that no one attempted to protect the woman from the violent anti-Trump protesters. She showed more guts than any security man in uniform there or any other so-called man witnessing the attack.

After being let in, in a final act of defiance the woman gave the mob one more look at her ‘Trump 45’ jersey before being led away by a Marriott staffer.
