Carnage from Pandya and Jaddu.. almost 100 runs in the last 7 overs. I felt like i was watching another IPL game, doesn't matter they win or lose from here but last 7 overs were totally worth it.

These two are genuine match winners, although both of them can be inconsistent. Among the two, at least Hardik deserves a promotion up the order. I have a feeling that he will be able to perform better, if he bats at no.4 or no.5. When other players are being given so many opportunities, there is nothing wrong in giving Hardik a few chances at no.4.

Hide your face Indian fans  Tongue Clean sweep coming soon.

Pitches are flat and its always hard to chase big target. Let's bat first and will score 300+ runs, easy peasy. lol

What to say? Kohli won the toss after a long time and even then the Indian team couldn't make use of it. Youngsters such as Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer got good start, but they failed to convert it to good scores. The least they could do was to give support for Kohli, and they failed to do that as well. India may end up with 260-270 and it is going to be yet another cakewalk for the Australians.

India did the right thing by selecting Natarajan. Saini was given two chances and he failed to make use of them. Also, dropping Chahal and selecting Kuldeep Yadav as the spinner was another move in the right direction. Chahal failed to make any impact during the previous matches and there is nothing wrong in trying some left-arm wrist spin against the Australians.
2804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: December 02, 2020, 03:47:40 AM
Putting Ivanka Trump at the same odds as for Michelle Obama looks like a joke to me. I mean, Michelle Obama has really some chances of becoming the next president, while Ivanka has none. The only explanation for me is Ivanka's admirers placing those bets just to see her in that list.

Both Michelle and Ivanka have zero chances for 2024. In all probability, the Democratic nominee for 2024 would be Kamala Harris (if she doesn't become the president before 2024). Right now it is difficult to predict who will be the Republican nominee, but I don't think that someone like Ivanka who has achieved very little so far has any serious chances.

ICC should introduce one proposal. Give cricket board option of choosing Limited over cricket (T-20/ODI) or Tests or everything (T-20/ODI + Tests). and ICC should stop romanticize with the Red ball cricket and face the reality, they could save tons of money and by doing so they could finance more countries to adopt T-20/ODI.

I agree. Red ball cricket is not compatible with 21st century. During the good old days, cricket fans had plenty of time, and they could spend 5 days continuously to watch the test matches. But now no one is having that much time. The time and effort spent on playing test matches could be better spent on playing more T20I or ODI matches. Everyone will benefit. The players will benefit in the form of decreased workload and the boards will benefit in terms of increased revenues.
2806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 02, 2020, 03:22:56 AM
England Won convincingly 3rd match without breaking a sweat. David Milan came out of nowhere (19 games only) and become No 1 T-20 Batsman in the world. T-20 is done and dusted for Proteas, let's see what happens in the ODI. The way English team is performing continuously, i doubt if Proteas could hold them off.

Yesterday's match showed the depth in talent pool which England possesses and the lack of it for South Africa. Dawid Malan (ironically he is of South African origin, although born in England) is not a regular with the ODI/test squad and is considered as a T20 specialist. His partnership with Buttler destroyed South African bowlers, as they scored 167 runs from 14 overs. Fringe South African players went for plenty. Lutho Sipamla conceded 45 runs from the 16 balls he bowled and Tabraiz Shamsi went for 57 from his 4 overs.
2807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB VS Eth - Invest in ETH since BNB is centralized on: December 01, 2020, 04:50:46 AM
Both are ruling the world of Altcoin. Although the first altcoin of the ETH blockchain, I would put BNB a little ahead. Because BNB has a lot of potentials.

I am also willing to give BNB a bit more moral support when compared to ETH. During the last few months or even years, the Binance Chain has proven to be a stable and scalable Blockchain. Still a lot needs to be done, regarding the development. First of all, storage of BNB is not as easy as ETH. And also, the acceptability remains low. There are very few places, where you can make the payment in BNB.
2808  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: December 01, 2020, 04:35:35 AM
Good luck detecting long term effects with a few months worth of exposure.
Given that there are no long term significant effects from other vaccines, where as there is a significant risk of significant long term effects from COVID (including so called "Long COVID", cardiomyopathy, encephalomyelitis, chronic inflammation, etc, not to mention the risk of death) then the risk benefit calculation comes out strongly in favor of the vaccine.

In my area, I personally know about two individuals in their 60s, who were discharged from the hospital after getting cured of the COVID 19 infection. But a few days after they were discharged, both of them developed breathing difficulties at night and passed away. So I have to agree when you say that there are long term effects from COVID 19. At this point, a vaccine looks safer for me. Or rather less risky when compared to the scenario without a vaccine.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: December 01, 2020, 04:21:25 AM
some altcoin prices now look very high when compared to prices a few months ago. But, there are still opportunities and potential in the crypto market. So you have to get used to very large price changes, unexpected instability. Make sure you are at the appropriate risk and are able to accept large price fluctuations.

Altcoin prices go up whenever the Bitcoin prices are rallying. Most of these alts don't have an independent existence of their own. There are a few exceptions such as ETH and LTC, as these coins are being used for smart contracts and for making payments. But you should be careful while investing in some of the other altcoins, especially those which are having no use apart from trading.

Some exciting news is in for Cricket Australia. According to TRP stats, the (domestic) TV viewership for both the ODI series (against India) and for the WBBL has reached new record highs. Remember that these matches were not available on free-to-air, and viewers had to go through a paywall to watch them. Despite all this, 585,000 viewers were reported for the second ODI versus India. And an unbelievable number of 429,000 was reported for the final match of the WBBL, between the Sydney Thunder and the Melbourne Stars.

This is great news for CA, as they were going through all sorts of financial issues. The viewership stats for the WBBL this year has been exceptional. No one really thought that women's cricket could result in so much viewership. Perhaps the BCCI should take note of this, as CA has proved that women's cricket can be a profit making venture.

2811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is much effective than ICO nowadays. on: December 01, 2020, 03:57:16 AM
The success rate of IEOs depend a lot on the exchange platform in which it is being launched. Exchanges such as Binance necessitates very strict screening requirements and less promising projects are weeded out at this stage. However, medium-tier exchanges such as LAToken are not that strict when it comes to screening. All they care about is the money and many of these exchanges allow dubious projects in their platform.
2812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron for 3x. Here is my logic on: December 01, 2020, 03:46:01 AM
TRX may go up for a short period of time. But it will be unable to sustain those gains. For stable growth, you need a noticeable increase in adoption and acceptability. And as of now, I don't think that TRX can boast any of this. It continues to be used as a speculative investment asset (similar to most of the other altcoins), but there is no growth in usage for other purposes.
2813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casinos have IP blocks in place for restricted countries? on: December 01, 2020, 03:32:20 AM
I am pleased to know that these sites do not restrict my country from playing on their sites regardless of that gambling is a prohibited activity in my country under applicable law. The problem is the internet network provider that I use has restricted some of these site so I have to use a VPN to play there. I know that some gambling site prohibit users from using VPN to cross country block, will it be a problem if I use VPN to bypass internet provider restrictions ?

Pmalek had already answered this question in a previous post. You need to check the T&C for each of these online casinos. If they explicitly state that they don't have any geographical restriction, then you are good to go. But normally they will be providing a list of countries, from where the user registration is not possible. You may still be able to place your bets, but issues may arise when you try to withdraw the funds to your bank account.
2814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game 💰 Postponed 21 on: December 01, 2020, 03:22:09 AM
Even though many people write that the vaccines will still be fine, I just don't know. we will get a completely different Olympic Games than in recent years. In Japan it can also be very hot, that will certainly play a role.

We are still 8 months away from the start of the Olympic Games. That gives enough time to vaccinate almost everyone in the world, who are willing to do undergo vaccination. The news from the vaccine front is that Moderna has already made the application for authorization of its vaccine to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Pfizer and others are likely to follow suit. So in all probability, mass vaccinations may start within a few weeks from now.
2815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 01, 2020, 03:10:34 AM
Even though Australia has won the series I too would like to see how India go batting first and then see if Australia can chase down the target. I also think that if India bat first that they would need a minimum of 350 runs as the Australian batting line up is very strong however Warner will miss the next ODI match and could also be in doubt for the first test match.

The next ODI will be played at Canberra (Manuka Oval) and therefore the conditions may be different from what they had in Sydney. So in case the pitch offers more support for the pace bowlers, it may be a bad decision to choose batting if they win the toss. The last ODI was played at this ground more than 4 years ago (Australia vs New Zealand), and it was a high scoring game with Australia ending up at 378/5.
2816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 01, 2020, 02:56:09 AM
Australia may be without David Warner for the first test match as he injured himself in the last ODI match and is now in doubt for the first test match. Even if he is ruled out Australia do have a very good young player waiting for his chance so I don't mind if Warner is ruled out as it gives Will Pucovski a chance to play and he has been in top form in domestic cricket.

Will Pucovski is an exciting batsman who performed well in the domestic cricket. Considering the fact that most of the Australian batsman are above 30 years of age, this will be a good move from the part of the Australian selectors.

Apart from being a promising young batsman, inclusion of Pucovski will also be a step towards the globalization of the game. His father (Jan Pucovski) was born in former Czechoslovakia. Jan Pucovski (who was a pace bowler) could never make it in to the first-class cricket, but Will more than made up for that loss. Pucovski will be the second player with Czechoslovakian roots to represent Australia (first being Jason Krejza). Maybe one day, Pucovski may become as successful as Michael Kasprowicz (whose parents are Polish).
2817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: November 30, 2020, 06:05:54 AM
New projects are way too risky my friend, so in the event that we see like 10 new projects simply 2 to 3 among them will become successful and flourish on the grounds that there are numerous variables included other than financing that bring about progress or disappointment of a project

Do you really expect a success rate of 20% to 30%?

The last time I witnessed a success rate that high was in 2017, when the ICO boom was in full force. During the past 12-18 months, the success rate for new projects have remained in the 4%-5% range. So if you are investing in 20 different projects, the chances are that one of them may turn out to be successful. But then it needs to be seen whether the returns from this one project will make up for the losses from the remaining 19 projects.
2818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What looks like a bad investment but it is Not on: November 30, 2020, 05:51:24 AM
Once again, I would warn everyone who are planning to invest in Ethereum at current levels. If ETH 2.0 implementation is completed without much issues, then you can expect good returns from Ethereum within the next one or two years. But if some major bug is found, then you can expect a major crash. And looking at the previous history of Ethereum, I have solid reasons to remain cautious.
2819  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin market cap take into acount forever lost bitcoins on: November 30, 2020, 05:41:59 AM
When we calculate the market cap of stocks, bullion.etc, we don't exclude any portion claiming that those assets are being held by people who are dead or those who have forfeited their ownership. Around the globe, billions of $$$ worth of real estate can't be developed because they are being held up in property disputes. But they are included in the market cap. The methodology for calculating the market cap should be the same for Bitcoin. Therefore I don't think that we need to exclude the "lost" coins.
2820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Site Buys $100 Million of Bitcoin Every Month to Pay Players in BTC on: November 30, 2020, 05:35:13 AM
60% transaction is volume of single platform is quiet impressive, these gamblers knew how valuable Bitcoin is. They are highly educated gamblers in cryptocurrency. I won't wonder why in the next few years BTC and cryptocurrency will become a standard pay-outs in every online casino, the adoption this time around is definitely something to look forward.

During the early days, Satoshi Dice accounted for a large share of Bitcoin volumes. That changed when the exchange rates increased from 2013 onward, but Bitcoin still has a lot to offer for the gambling industry. If we could take care of some of the things, such as high transaction fee and delay in confirmations, then we will see more and more online casinos opening up to Bitcoin.
