Hey Hectorians! Weekly Update Unfortunately, this week we couldn't run the CU with Prometheus, so I hope to do a good thing by sharing this update with you. Investments As you can see, we're running many new investments these days. Why? 1) To differentiate our Treasury 2) To help our incomes to increase (by staking them) 3) To increase the chances of new partnerships Don't forget that after the emission plan takes place, in 2 years, no more staking rewards will be in place, but Hector Finance aims to pay a sort of "dividend" to HEC holders. Emission Plan We're in the testing phase. It shouldn't take too long for the release, but we prefer to check everything 1000 times to be sure to develop a safe product. We'll announce a release date as soon as possible. Investments Reflection into the Dashboard I can now say it: a new Dashboard is coming soon. I still don't have an ETA, but I can say that it will arrive within May for sure. Our UI devs have been busy on it for a while, but it will solve many issues and improve it. The current investment dashboard is not reflecting the latest investments, and we know that. We don't want to "waste time" updating something that will be dismissed soon. There are a lot of cheaters who copy from others and tweet as their own and submit for stake. I was able to find a lot but I think there are more cheaters which I can't find.
I see you launch campaigns as well, how do you tackle that? For us, we tagged caught individual on spreedsheet depending on their crime and they lose eligibility for campaign. e.g Cheater (Submit Others works) Cheater (Sent Previous works report) etc. |

 TIP-025 - $500,000 investment from treasury into Aave ($AAVE) We believe additional investments in established projects at current market conditions will help to further grow our treasury. Diversity minimises the risk and makes growth possible. Aave is a decentralised finance protocol that allows people to lend and borrow crypto. Lenders earn interest by depositing digital assets into specially created liquidity pools. Borrowers can then use their crypto as collateral to take out a flash loan using this liquidity. The project allows people to borrow and lend in about 20 cryptocurrencies, meaning that users have a greater amount of choice. One of Aave’s flagship products are “flash loans,” which have been billed as the first uncollateralized loan option in the DeFi space. There’s a catch: they must be paid back within the same transaction. Another big selling point is how those who borrow through Aave can alternate between fixed and variable interest rates. While fixed rates can provide some certainty about costs during times of volatility in the crypto markets, variable rates can come in handy if the borrower thinks that prices will fall in the near future. Polkadot is an open-source sharded multichain protocol that connects and secures a network of specialised blockchains, facilitating cross-chain transfer of any data or asset types, not just tokens, thereby allowing blockchains to be interoperable with each other. Polkadot was designed to provide a foundation for a decentralised internet of blockchains, also known as Web3. Polkadot is a sharded multichain network, meaning it can process many transactions on several chains in parallel (“parachains”). This parallel processing power improves scalability. The company has grown to be the leading crypto exchange in a number of countries, and their side organisations are attracting significant interest as well. One of the biggest competitive advantages Binance has is its drive for development. While the company started only as a crypto exchange back in 2017, today, Binance has spread its services among numerous different spheres. According to the company website, its mission is to become the infrastructure services provider for the entire blockchain ecosystem. Since the launch of BNB, the exchange has also benefited from increased investor interest in the token. BNB went through a significant price increase at the beginning of 2021, which has put it on the map of enterprise investors. Measures like BEP-95 have upgraded the already deflationary tokenomics to make BNB even more deflationary.  TIP-022 - $250,000 investment from treasury into Nexus Mutual ($wNXM) We believe additional investments in established projects at current market conditions will help to further grow our treasury. Diversity minimises the risk and makes growth possible. Nexus Mutual uses a risk-sharing pool that allows anyone to purchase on insurance cover or contribute their capital to the pool for future rewards. Nexus Mutual tries to disrupt the insurance industry by transitioning the power over the pooled resources to the individual people. Anyone is allowed to participate, as the mutual is owned by its members. Users can contribute Ethereum (ETH) to the pool for NXM. Nexus Mutual is taking on the issue of smart contract vulnerability and provides users with a level of protection that can help avoid losses. Nexus Mutual’s first product were smart contract covers that provided protection for value storing contracts. In order for the project to start processing claims, it needed to reach a pool of 12,000 ETH, which was achieved two months after the launch. The NXM token represents the membership rights in Nexus Mutual, along with the ability to participate within the ecosystem through claim and risk assessments and governance. The token leverages a bonding curve to determine the price, which is driven by how much capital the Mutual has and how much capital it needs to meet all of the claims with a certain probability. Users can stake NXM to vote on claim assessments and on whether or not a certain claim needs to be paid out. The members who decide to vote in accordance with the consensus are rewarded with NXM, whereas the ones that vote against it have their tokens locked for a period of time. Members fulfill several roles, one of which is that of assessing the risk of each smart contract. Whenever a claim is filed, they are responsible for voting on the legitimacy of that claim and on whether the payout can be made or not. Members can also use their tokens to vote on smart contracts based on how secure they think each particular contract is. The more NXM is staked on a smart contract, the cheaper it becomes to purchase cover for it; the large amount at stake is an indicator that the contract is considered safe by many members.
