1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: {ANN} Hector Network: Where (3,3) & (4,4) became; A Deflationary Utility Token. on: December 22, 2022, 03:01:55 PM

In the News: The year is drawing to a close but the Hector roadmap remains open-ended. While Q4 has led to the implementation of the Emission Plan and a Tier 1 Exchange listing, further developments of the ecosystem are being worked on. Main projects, such as Atlantica NFT Marketplace, Atlantica NFT Launchpad, and the Hector DEX 2.0 have seen major progress this year and the beginning of next year should finally bring users the long-awaited utility. That is hardly everything, Fantom Hub outlines in one of their Tweets for the upcoming two-quarters at Hector Network. Milestones of Q1 2023 include projects such as Hector Library.

Our in-house Mythos NFT collection is coming closer to being released too. Fantom Insider posted a nice overview of the artworks coupled with some interesting insights. Besides the fact that the collection is inspired by the ever-so-fascinating Greek mythology, you’ll be thrilled to know that this collection will have plenty of perks and utility. Stay tuned for more on this. Fantom Daily published recently a daily token trading statistic on their newsfeed and the HEC token climbed to a prideful third place, edging out SpookySwap for the bronze. It’s always good to see that the token has healthy daily trading activities going on.

1942  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Should Sub-Threads be created or we should freestyle the whole thing? on: December 22, 2022, 11:48:10 AM
How una want make these sub-threads look like self? I just they think since yesterday on the nature of discussion wey person go start, but the matter still de under discussion, make we finalize first so dat we go know the kind of sub-threads wey we go bring on board.

As African proverb thread don they added, hope say room go letter day for different Ethnicity ( languages) as we know say we from come from a different location for this Nija, I no mean to make us de divided because I understand why English/pidgin was used as our own official language, I just think say e go they fun if we get such sections. Just a suggestion sha Cool

That African proverb Thread na a perfect example of what a Sub-Threads is, that's instead of everybody coming to create their own topic on African proverb them go fit just hangout there dey discuss wetin dem wan discuss. And as for the ethnicity threads they're also example of Sub thread but make dat one wait first. We never get enough active members from the same geographically location for the country wey go make us begin divide, make we dey concentrate on the genera language for now (pidgin and English).

No need for we to dey stressed about am now sha as I believe, as we dey active and increase, more topics they come up, we go see need for active sub threads to filter discussion and we fit demand for subboard and our matter go dey heard faster. This na just discussed I throw to keep here active for the time being Sha no stress.
1943  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Unofficial General Guidelines For Posting( Na de koko dem) on: December 22, 2022, 07:30:41 AM
U dun try for this one, I believe we go dey update the thread and as time goes on we go request for am to be pinned, maybe after we dun get posts wey full everywhere wey e come dey hard for newbies to find this thread. Igehhh I go also suggest you qoute that whole thread wey you link under the ur post. Make we no dey carry traffic dey commot this board. Instead linking just say make them read am below. Anything wey we dey find make we make am available here as na so I see for other places so person fit spend him whole dey here without going out.

Also do the thread like a welcome thread where you welcome everyone to the board (you understand wetin I dey try talk so). Like make them know how the hustle start and them not destroying it with their spamming, I believe time go come when spamming go wan kill here but we go survive am and abeg make no body dey rush anything, with requstujyfor specific things like subbaords etc with time when we see a need we go contact theymos, make we just make here active and that's all.
1944  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija Hangout (General discussion) on: December 21, 2022, 06:08:02 PM
CryptopreneurBrainboss BABA e be like say you go lock this thread because if this thread still dey open so nothing good go come out again. we appreciate everyone who contribute one way or the other , but please make we use this opportunity show our uniqueness and value. make we try to dey create topics wey go attracts discussions. everyone eyes dey here now and this thread don be like group chat so we need lock up to spread activities. o0ne of use create topic and nobody don yarn on top since early moimoi

No be lie, na true you talk so and on that note, I want to use this opportunity to declare say this thread will be officially locked. Kindly locate the Nigerian Local board (it's clickable) and continue your discussion over there. Don't be scared or intimidated, create threads to encourage continue discussion and keep the board active so theymos doesn't regret granting us our wish.

I want to say thank you again to everyone that made this possible, I remember when we started this journey, some lost hope while others joined the struggle and today we can say we made it. Don't forget to join discussion ongoing on the local board and my newly created discussion on Sub-Threads titled; Should Sub-Threads be created or we should freestyle the whole thing?. I hope say una no go fall our hands on making this board active, I dey wait una for the other side, goodbye for now here.

We have (if not better) much similar stats to Nigeria in terms of forum posts and activity.

Total Active Members as of 13-Dec-2022: 18

Hello dear, I see what you're trying to do but in trying to get yourself a local board by riding on the success of the Nigerian local baord, don't make it seems like we deserve this achievement any less please. You guys should work on your request and put some determinations into your request, we did similar thing and it worked out for us. The dominance of Nigerian on the forum in less than 3years since the availability of the hangout thread has been impressive, We even have so many users that have identify themselves to be Nigerians (with me) but are yet to identify with the community due to the fear of been discriminated but we let their wishes be (the forum is anonymous so we can't force an identity on anyone).

I see you comparing the numbers but I don't think it's all about that in getting your request approved, you had just 18 active members last month while we had over 70, all engaging in production discussion as we mandated on the thread with low quality been deleted (discouraged). Lets talk about the activeness of our local users on the general forum, you can take a look at the names on the table, alot of them are quite productive on the general forum and Nigeria like thread are filled all over the forum.

You guys should come together and make some quality noise for yourself and try to encourage other native users to engage on your thread and carry your total engagement up in regards to users contributing to the thread instead of posts been made. Goodluck on your request, make it a little less competitive but appealing.
1947  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Should Sub-Threads be created or we should freestyle the whole thing? on: December 21, 2022, 04:39:49 PM
Based on popular demand which I find meaningful, the previous hangout thread has been closed and after we get this board active maybe I go reason open am for other discussion (fit no be this year again maybe 2nd quarter next year) as by then many people go dun sabi say we get Local board and not local thread again or I lock am forever.

We still dey on the celebration and I go like encourage the creating of threads by everyone, the faster we get everything running the sooner we get other wish granted like subboard and merit source for the board etc. Wetin i wan make we discussed for here na only the Sub-Threads mata other mata should lead to their own thread creation.

I no dey discouraged thread creation but we suppose get some sub threads wey go help moderate the spams for the boards. The Sub-Threads supposed be like Introduction threads) to avoid that madness wey dey beginners and help, as new users they introduced themselves with deadliike threads regularly).

I think this Sub-Threads dey important but no be for discussion like politics, Bitcoin or altcoins discussion. Those na popular discussion wey for help the thread creation process on the board dey active, but e get other discussion wey fit dey annoying but if we put them for a Sub-Threads that wey, we go help minimize spam, wetin others think and then u fit give examples of this Sub-Threads wey go make sense. My own na; Introduction & Orientation Camp (here newbies for introduced themselves and ask questions wey others go help them navigate the forum if e dey hard them). Wetin una think
1948  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 21, 2022, 06:05:53 AM
NEW TOPIC: Congratulations everyone, we made it, welcome to the Nigerian (Naija) Local baord.

I wan used this opportunity say thank you to everyone of you that contributed to the success we'll be celebrating today, the creation of the Nigerian local baord. Like play like play, I gat message wey come from theymos few days back asking for recommendations on how the Naija board go be like, After some deliberation with some members (Igehh, Charle-Tim & Mpamaegbu) and few questions answered to theymos, we decide to allow theymos freestyle the whole thing. And today we have the Nigerian local board. No subbaords were created but just the official language which is Pidgin and English.

Now the issue we need to discuss with the house before matters get out of hand is that, should threads be created for each discussion like Bitcoin discussion, Altcoin discussion, Naija Politics (we discussed all political discussion there and new topic get created as we did before on the hangout thread) or each person can start a discussion he wants the community to engage in anytime he feel like with a new topic. This also relate to other discussion as well like Music, Football discussion etc. Abeg make everyone contribute so we fit move forward. Once again congrats to everyone that made this possible by been active all this while. We made it guys.

Na the prayer wey dey many people lips right now. As onto recently news just dey fly every where about burning of INEC offices, we hope this one no go discourage the fairness as PMB talk.
Na one chance for another 8years, make those wey never collect try make time to go collect am o. At least na the way we know best for now.

If you ask me ehh, I go talk say this year INEC go dey fair for presidential election but you dey see the other ones wey nobody dey reason. The kind rigging wey go dey there ehh, only God knows. INEC know say eye dey this presidential election so them go commot hand make the world no judges them than focused energy on cashing out from other smaller position wey people go wan buy. Anybody wey win this election, go be people choice and I no just mean social media choices I mean those we get PVC and go comot their unit come vote.

Anybody wey wan win this election go need hustle for grass root, leave social media as na youths wey go just deceive you full there. On that day self dem go focus for another thing leave the vote wey dem supposed go vote. I no say make you leave the youth entirely but focused on those wey dey come unit and not online ones. We get many online voters wey he say if them been gree go get PVC come unit then for make great change for the outcome of elections but them prefer to hide behind the social platforms the air their views.
1951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just can't get my eyes off my wallet. on: December 18, 2022, 12:48:26 PM
I want to know if there is an average number of times a new investor should check his wallet and how can I change my behavior if it is abnormal. Thank you in advance for your helpful responses.

Funny I just had to go check my portfolio after reading you words. This I haven't done in some months now after the Luna first crash which I went to verify if I invested in that project so I can get rid of it before further casualties. What you're experience isn't odds as many investors suffer same fate. Infact many of us had similar experience when we first started investing in the space, I think with time you'll know to handle it but you can try to program yourself not to get obsessed with price volatility by remembering, in future things will always be green and program your mindset for long term price goals (not short term).

You can try deleting any of the apps that has to do with price update on the market and your wallets as well. Keep your private key and other vital information needed to access your wallet in safe location before deleting the apps and stay of crypto news. We're in a bear market so the price will always be negative until we go pass this stage, keep that in mind and look for other activities to keep you occupied while we wait for this season to end.
1952  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why people are always in a sinkhole situation on: December 18, 2022, 12:34:35 PM
Bitcoin is one of the most popular coin in cryptocurrency, with this lots of people fall victim to those coin with bitcoin like promises
Why do they are still taking advantages by this people and what are the reason? there is only one answer that i think most of us is sure, the promise of making high return in a short time, with people being in the situation of the pandemic that strike not only one nation but the whole world, this has become the most effective strategy for the scammers,

Actually people are impatient that's why this scammers are getting them big time. If 90% of those entering the space now were there when Bitcoin started in 2009 they would had sold by now because they're impatient and can't hold unto their coins believing things will be as profitable as it's today. This scammers know the noobs wants the quick gains not realizing it wasn't as quick as they think with Bitcoin, it took Bitcoin more than 13years to reach its previous all time high even with the low circulating supply it has but the noobs getting into this altcoins with billions of supply wants the same output in less time.

This is the major reason behind the rise of shit meme coins with trillions of supply but the community wants huge returns to turn just $100 investment into millions. This scam artist will always get them as they just use trends like tokens burning to deceive them into investing. Why should the developers create such supply in the first place if they know they won't need it. Investors needs to develop the habit of having patience with their investment and invest wisely.
1953  Other / Meta / Re: Most users just state their opinion on a topic rather than discuss it on: December 18, 2022, 12:17:38 PM
I think that's because many users don't have a notification medium to alert them when they get quoted. I don't have the numbers of users using the notification tools some kind hearted members of the forum has created but I guess it won't be much compared to the percentage of users not using them. If they had that and get notified each time they get mentioned on the forum, I'm sure they would respond and continue discussion on the threads they write. The forum is actually funds to write in and people will be genuinely interested in continues discussion, I know I would.

Before the telegram notification bot I'm using to get notifications got developed, I take time to go through threads I commented previously on to see if there's a response for me to give my feedbacks. Although some topics and quoted replys aren't worth continues discussion as you just have to state your opinion and move on, so don't blame members when they do such.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 18, 2022, 12:03:10 PM
I read last month that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Nkunku on a deal to join the Blues, with fees all agreed including medical completed. This is a very good signing for Chelsea and I can now see that the new owner has a project in sight and a standard in which he wants the club to be playing on which is very impressive. Surely Chelsea will have a much better attack with Nkunku, Rahim Sterling and Zakaria. The new owner has good plans for the club.

I didn't see Hakim Ziyech in your mention even with all his incredible performance at the world cup which same sterling I saw you mentioning didn't have any impact in the world cup. Just like you, the manager needs to start tapping from the incredible skills and play of Hakim Ziyech, we're killing a player here by not playing him and if Chelsea let this one go just as we have done to future stars in the past, it's going to be a lost that we would regret in the future. Hakim isn't that young neither has he gone passed his prime.

In regards to the strengthening of the attack, I think Chelsea should push more for Rafael Leao, he'll be vital at the right instead of sterling, with Rafael leap at the right and Ziyech at the left with James and Cucurella both playing wingback, I think Chelsea has a strong attack that can create chances for our goals. I believe after the January transfer window, Chelsea attack will be back in form.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 18, 2022, 11:36:15 AM
the reality is that cristiano ronaldo has not been performing well on the field in recent months, i would say that since the new manchester united coach came in he is no longer the same cristiano ronaldo, his performance has dropped a lot, his presence on the field is almost non-existent you can see how in the past, his way of playing is more similar to how an ordinary player plays, in the past cristiano ronaldo when he caught the ball he most of the time managed to lose the opponent and shot for the goal that went into the goal, today cristiano ronaldo when he takes the ball he makes a pass to his teammate who wastes opportunities, that is cristiano ronaldo is playing differently and this is making him equal to ordinary players

This is what makes Ronaldo such a great player, he's adjusting to fit his new age and lost of speed as he has gone pass his amazing days but can still contribute greatly to the game if given the chance. The issue was that his former manager didn't play with old players as he's a manager that love playing with players with speed and strength (younger players). Ronaldo needs a coach that understand how to play experience and old players with younger ones. Coaches like Sir Alex Ferguson and the next person close to him is Mourinho.

Ronaldo still have some fight left in him, managers should know that and give him a chance to show us those good football before we missed all that due to his retirement. The Young players aren't doing much to fill this goats shoes yet. They still need sometime to level up, any club that get Ronaldo's will benefit from his influence both on and off the pitch. It's a shame he's been treated this way.

1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 18, 2022, 11:20:17 AM
Manchester City will still be superior because they will next meet several opponents which in my opinion are easy to beat and will make Manchester City get additional points easily, As for Arsenal, they still need to work hard to win and of course it's not easy for Arsenal to do that, but in the end Arsenal have managed to take first place for a while.

This is the best Arsenal can do, by January ending I doubt Arsenal will still be topping the table. Also lets not forget that Chelsea is cooking up something, they are going to be active in the January transfer market buying players. Already there are impressive news of some quality players the board is looking to acquire their service. Chelsea should join the conversation of who wins the title by January ending as well.

Arsenal should just lose eyes on the title and focus energy on playing champions league football next season. Jesus Gabriel is injuried already and there's no one in the team that contributes to arsenal game like Jesus. He mightn't score or give assist but involved in must build up to goals in a game he plays. His presence will be missed and that'll make arsenal the drop form.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: December 18, 2022, 06:37:44 AM
Croatia won the match with the contribution of their experienced football players. Morocco also have really good quality players, but in matches at this level, experience is as important as quality.

I was disappointed in Morocco lost, I thought this time around that an African nation will get a medal at this tournament. All hopes were on Morocco but they disappointed. Croatia doesn't deserve this third position if we're considering how good both nations has played at the tournament. Croatia has had to rely on penalty shout-out to advance from both knockout stages while Morocco had to win teams like Portugal without needing a penalty shootout. Judging form how the match went, I would say experience did have a role to play in Croatia winning.

When you look at both sqaud, you can find more experience and quality players in the Croatia team than that of the Morocco (they even made the finals in 2018) so it's understandable why they won but still Morocco were the better team considering how defensive they have been excellent this tournament. I didn't expect them to be conceding goals as they did in the last two games. Nevertheless congratulations to them, they made Africa proud, next tournament we go again.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 18, 2022, 06:14:02 AM
Croatia's second goal seemed to be an accident, that the player actually wanted to pass his partner, but the player's foot deviated towards the goal and chipped the ball, in the end the ball flew high towards the goalkeeper in the left corner of the goalkeeper,

I don't think that goal was a mistake, the scorer of the goal intentionally put the ball at that corner knowing the keeper wasn't in a good position to stop the ball. You can see him bending his body as he kicks the ball so he can get enough curve on th ball. The goal was beautiful to watch, Croatia played very well in that game and were determined to win it. Morocco didn't show me much fight, I taught they were going to win Croatia due to their defense record but they have just let four goals in, in their last two matches after going 5 games without conceding any goal form the opponent.

Croatia would be disappointed in their world cup run, last tournament they were the runner up and now the third position. This means they drop rank instead of progressing. I know they would had thought they can go all the way this time around to win the tournament and that was what they were aiming for. Congratulations to them though on making it this far, the cash prize for third position is also fair and will go along way in developing football in Croatia. The players should hold their head high because they surprised the world once again.
1959  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 18, 2022, 06:01:08 AM
The release of new naira notes don d in circulation today. Although em get some bank wey never get am for their own bank yet.

Only today wey d release our new naira notes, see how our country people rubu am to. Una d sure sae our new naira go survive d squeezing and rubbing wey market traders go give am. I sae make I ask una

Na the problem wey we dey get be dat, provided this Naira dey available to market traders, it can never be in a clean form. Them go surely use squeezing turn this new money into the ood ones. Dem go squeeze this tie and die wey dey use for this new design comot for e body. But though una think say this one follow for one our naira dey devalued? E no matter the form wey money dey, e go still dey accepted so this one no for be problem.

This Market women dey find the safety way to safe their money and the use of wallets fit dey at risk to dem losing it as we get money snatchers wey full market. That money wey dem squeeze so put for pocket, e go hard before any money snatcher fit reach am but you see that wan wey dey wallet, otilo. Wetin me for suggest na for banks to get ironing machines wey for fit they straighten the money when them enter banks or take them out of circulation and introduce new ones instead of banks returning those squeeze money to us.
1960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC awareness on: December 16, 2022, 05:21:23 PM
Bitcoin is really pulling waved all over in Africa and most people who are exposed to it are really breaking out of the financial entrapment they have been in some many years by the government controled fiat currency.

Compared to when I got involved in the space, truely bitcoin has had some massive influence in the way of life of every enthusiast that have involved themselves with the currency in Africa. Also on the forum the inflow of Africans and those willing to write about what's happening over here has increased as well. It gives me joy seeings all this which only points to one direction that Bitcoin is truely here to stay.

As for savings with banks, I don't know much about other western world but in general it's not advisable to save your money with banks since inflation will eat alway all the profits you'll be expecting. African banks typically are horrible, at every opportunity they get they'll want to take money away from you even when you open an account with them just for saving of your money.
Stick with Bitcoin buddy, you're better off hoarding money in Bitcoin than the banks, ignore the volatility of the price, long term you stand to benefits as Bitcoin is design in a way that the price will keep increasing provided the demand is present.
