best guess would be sample/test chips added so far. it is just impossible for AM to find those 5 blocks with their same hashrate and considering the overall increase of hashing power worldwide.
Exactly. This is much better than an announcement. Hashrate is actually going up. Ahem, yes. To quote a classic, Yippee Ki-yay motherfucker! It's been a long road (in bitcoin timescale)

Are we done bashing academia yet? [/quote] No we're not ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Because like politicians and central banks it still gets way too much unquestioning respect and credit. It needs some more bashing. Our whole school system is designed to turn people from random individuals into mutually interchangeable parts of a big machine. What is the first thing you learn in school? It's not reading, or writing or any of that stuff which your parents or their friends could have taught you by themselves if they weren't too busy being parts of the machine. It's that your time is not your own. It doesn't belong to you. It belongs to the authorities who will tell you when to be at a certain place, doing certain things. Better get used to it kiddo, because it's going to be like that for the rest of your life! Next thing you learn is that mistakes are bad. So bad in fact that it is preferable to do nothing than to make mistakes. Oh and don't bother thinking for yourself. There is exactly ONE correct answer to everything and we already have it so don't bother with that, just memorize these text books. Btw I went to university. I was interested in the subject they were "teaching". What a huge pile of horse crap that was. I quit. Everyone told me I am crazy, without education I won't get a good job! Right. As if having a Job (acronym for "Just over broke") is the only way to get by in life. Anyway I told them they are crazy for wasting their best years in such a rotten institution. And they knew it was shit. But the momentum of the whole system just carried them further and they stayed, finished their schools, got into jobs and started turning into miserable zombies just as predicted. And the ones who actually stayed in school even further, turning themselves into academics? They were the worst of the bunch. Lifeless, bland individuals, without any original thought in their heads. Conforming to the standards of authority has become the alpha and omega and everything else takes the back seat. Except their bitter conviction that somehow they are relevant. That somehow the guy who spent his whole life in academia can teach businessmen about management. [/quote] I try not to make useless +1 posts, but... nicely said ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

What the hell has happened to the momentum chasers and TA chartists? On the way down, they would not shut up and now they are conspicuously quiet. This is the TA thread and there has been no TA for pages.
yes, I've been scrolling through a veritable forest of "this user is currently ignored." with little TA to break it

Yeah. Glad people are asking the important questions, such as if the Bitcoin ban would affect Dogecoin. lol some of those replies are the funniest things i've read all day lol " you're a piece of shit" & "@Sen_JoeManchin @Rothbardian1627 that is funny because I just sent a letter recommending the banning of #Authoritarian #Senators" thanks for pointing those out Dragonkiller, definitely good laughs there

And Virtex's typical stupid note to see twitter for updates. They managed to write that, but adding a link was too hard? They might as well post it on the back of a barn; I'm still not searching for it. I guess the cash I just transferred will go play in LTC for now ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

In the event that Havelock can no longer stay in business for whatever reason, shareholders will send us a dedicated Bitcoin address from their email address tied to their account on Havelock
I would hope that the address would be tied to the trader account BEFORE a shut down event. We all know how 'after the fact' works out. At least have the option for proactive customers to safeguard their investments. This worked smoothly with the BTC-TC shut down, with no panic or even worries - because it was all prearranged.

Damn, this place is super boring.
lets sit in circle, hold hands, light red candles and summon FC for updates. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) And hope for low BTC prices until the first batches of gen3 are sold for BTC ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

[/tantrums]
It doesn't sound to me like anyone is forcing anything, other than forcing account holders to acknowledge that they are aware of the provided security measures, and if they are not implemented, it is through personal choice. send an email to unlock/acknowledge, and that's it. carry on as if you were normal.

Someone, or even a few just lost their nerves on Havelock. I know it's no sugary pie-land, but I still feel a lot better than the days and weeks before friedcat's latest announcement. How about you guys?
I sold a few to get the ball rolling, just to see how far it would roll ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Not very far at all, though it might go a bit farther once TAT gets the divs done. Pretty stable, I'd say.

great to get some details. so if i trade apples for dollars with someone that allegedly trades those apples to unknown others which allegedly use those apples to trade for drugs, i go to jail for 20 or 30 years ? Sounds like the Excited States of America is having a war on apples... And why not. Declare war on pretty much everything else ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

778 on Stamp. Might get another bite soon.

seriously? you guys really think it could go back to 3 or 4 BTC/share? shhht i need to buy a lot more now then!! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) As a guy who bought AM shares around .8 and rode them all they up to 4.5 BTC /share than back down to .8 let me just give you some advice: ...be careful ! Lot more competition these days. I still think FC is the man but I don't ever think they will getting anywhere to the dominance they had when there was only three players in town, AM, Avalon, and BFL. AM has great products and they had a huge advantage but I think they blew that, and its sort of over for them now. I could be completely wrong and tbh don't follow them anything close like I used to, but just, be careful... less market share, bigger market. No: the market is the same size - still 25BTC/block; this will only decrease in the future. mining is not the primary focus of AM. They are gearing toward chip production, which is a growing market.

Double-Top, Bubble-Pop!
Spoke too soon, To The Moon! idk, just thought I'd rhyme in ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Of course it is better to sell continuously. The reason why initially a doubling was chosen for selling point is that it is easier to grasp for people who are not proficient in math Almost Everybody (granted this forum is better off than the general populace).
Fixed ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Those capable will quickly modify the plan to suit their own needs.

No new deployment, rapid network size increase. New deployment expected by about April.

Someone needs to make this forum idiot proof. I long for the days that BCTalk had a hold on new registrations. (this is not necessarily directed at you)
But it could be ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) there are a LOT of questions and statements that could be resolved by a small amount of research.

So do you guys think this would be a decent long term investment? How would someone from the USA go about buying these stocks
Cheers
No matter how cheap they get, buying and holding BTC will always be worth more. Probably a LOT more. Hugely overvalued at the moment I think, and only to get worse as BTC increases.
