2941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 18, 2013, 07:19:25 AM
well $5.6 not bad right, and the LTC/BTC  value is rising so fast, yes I guess you were right, If a coin is dead when the price keep skyrocketing than Litecoin is sure dead
2942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 17, 2013, 01:54:56 PM
But Litecoin does not provide anything to be a "backup". It's only easier to attack; be it 51% attack or data mining transactions.

Litecoin network now is at the same point Bitcoin was at january this year, If an attack at Bitcoin didn't appear/succeed  for 4 years then Litecoin is just safe at this point
2943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 17, 2013, 01:39:51 PM
It's not a "change" and I certainly am not panicking.

However litescammers are already all up in arms to promote their dead coin, trying to make people panic.

I knew that Bitcoin/Litecoin would be regulated at some point
You cannot "regulate" it. That's not what this is, and that's not how it works.

I dont know if we are at the same page, but this is where regulation starts, it just doesnt seems right for me, maybe not only me but most of us, but yet I am really curious what will this bring, I guess we will have few interesting weeks/months.

as for Litecoin, I wont say scammers, this is one reason of many reasons we have Litecoin a "backup plan", the big question is how this will efect Litecoin, do you think the same thing will likely happen to Litecoin or maybe it can resist ?

I posted the same question in the litecoin forum for Warren and Coblee to answer, lets sit back and watch.  https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,7150.0.html
2944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 17, 2013, 01:09:57 PM
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that prevents doing this on any other altcoin. And anyone can do it, blockchains are public.

If you think Litecoin solves it, you understand nothing. Litecoin, even as the most popular altcoin, has much less tools allowing you to obscure your transactions. Data-mining altcoins is actually easier in many ways.

dont panic, lets see what will really happen, I would hate to see my Bitcoins drop in value, but this change is not welcome from me at all.

I knew that Bitcoin/Litecoin would be regulated at some point, but just didn't expect it this way, at this moment I really cant think what will be after 6-12 months from now and I really cant speculate how this can effect Bitcoin, but lets just hope that Litecoin can be somehow more resistant to these changes or I just hope they will be approached in a different way
2945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 17, 2013, 12:57:23 PM
dont get so happy, there are some major things happening around cryptocurrency, in other word to Bitcoin , I don't know if all of you are following but if what have been leaked is true then you will be more than really happy with holding Litecoins.

this have been leaked https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=334520.0

The following is a dump of full HTML files (identifying parts removed) of private Bitcoin Foundation discussions on Bitcoin blacklisting, transaction reversing, and create a new proof of work called "proof of sacrifice" for asset forfeiture.

It is VERY important that you understand what is going on behind closed doors of the Bitcoin Foundation. I am absolutely disgusted by the approach the foundation is taking to make Bitcoin no longer an open payments system, but rather a restricted, locked down platform with central control in the form of the current certificate authority structure, blacklisting of Bitcoins, reversing transactions and much more.

It always starts off small - like a UI that tells you coins are no longer fungible. It will lead into a locked down Bitcoin - that the rich wants.

PLEASE READ SATOSHI'S BITCOIN WHITE PAPER.

http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

This Is What Bitcoin Stands For. No trusted central authorities like Verisign. No transaction "meditating" or reversing. No blacklists of bitcoin - bitcoins must be fungible.

Preface: Your upvotes contribute to his google search.

I believe it is worth exposing each person in this new CoInvalidation team. Yifu is a dishonest criminal of bitcoins, dollars, time, and his actions speak to a nefarious character. Google him, it's been covered.

Well, what about the other guys? The coin purse, cofounder, and government connections guy is Matthew Mellon.

First, let me preface this with saying Matt has really great family lawyers. They have attacked (and removed) a lot of articles exposing him and reporting on his past. If you report on this on your blog, he will send legal to come after you.
So, who is Matt?

Matthew Mellon is part of one of America’s most influential and wealthy families — with ties like Gulf Oil, Carnegie Mellon University and Alcoa. Matthew inherited a $25 million trust fund at only 21, and started blowing it on cocaine, guns, celebrity company, and whatever other ridiculous or dangerous things he could get his hands on. He almost overdosed, and instead of reforming, he divorced his wife went back to hit the slopes some more. He fired his next fiancee, and left her financially dry, only to jump to another woman shortly after.
Some stuff he's done that went public:

Matthew Mellon historically had a nasty breakup which exposed his crack, cocaine, and business embezzlement.

Matthew Mellon is friends enough with this ex-Paris Hilton boyfriend asshat, having borrowed him funds which also funded Brandon's drug use.

Matthew Mellon was likely involved in a hacking scandal which his lawyers cleaned up nicely. The problem with making a website also apologize is it leaves traces.

Matthew Mellon also threatened lawsuit to take another article down here. "the wealthy Matthew Mellon thought they needn't act as average people, so instead they've, through their attorneys, tried to scare us."

A report still up shows that Matthew Mellon allegedly hired wire-tapping on his ex-wife. Do you trust him with your validation? On further research, he was arrested and charged.

For you political folks, I will let you make your own decision on Matthew Mellon's contributions to Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney. He has donated both separately (majorly to Ryan) and combined. This includes the defunding of Medicare and Medicaid.

I'm sure I could keep digging wonderful things, but this post is getting too fucking long. Matthew Mellon, and associates [Alex Waters & Yufi Guo, if you read this: fuck. you.

Alex Waters, you're next. And Kashmir Hill - thanks for your previous exposure but you are a shill. Your spin shows your lack of spine and willingness to suck the institutionalized finance dick. Fuck you too.

-----------------------

BOYCOTT anything that places control of bitcoin to any authority (Verisign, US FinCEN, Bitcoin Foundation or Anything) - instead of being a very decentralized payment network and digital currency.

and this has been leaked as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=335658.0

if you do not understand how important this is than I advise you to wait couple of weeks to see how this turn out, My biggest fear/question is if this will be really the future of Bitcoin, then does the same thing apply for Litecoin ? will Litecoin Devs do the same ?

if not then we will see a massive convertion from BTC to other Alts and mostly LTC as a big alt after Bitcoin, simply because LTC will serve the Satoshi nakomoto white paper, and Bitcoin wont be that big innovation that satoshi once wanted.

this is only speculation, so lets not rush about conclusions
2946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 15, 2013, 04:01:44 PM
1. Litecoin have the best community  Smiley
2. Merchant/acceptance services are right around the corner (watch)
3. Everyone is looking for the next Bitcoin they can get rich off of (not as easy as newbies may think)
4. Charlie and Bobby Lee - If you have ever created or worked on something extremely hard you take pride in it. If your brother did something special then you take exceptional pride in it. Charlie has created a great product and has a great dev team to handle it. Bobby has a horse in this game too. They want Litecoin to be the silver to the gold. BTC China and Coinbase will carry LTC soon.
5. Good Ole Mt Gox - Mt Gox was the king in the beginning of the crypto currency but has lost steam  in the last few months. Mt Gox can make a splash by adding a new customer base and more revenue by adding the up and coming coin. They might even eventually follow the BTC-E business plan.
6. See 4 and 5 - Once Mt Gox goes with Litecoin many other exchanges and merchant services will follow..... Like BTC China and  Coinbase?Huh? Hmmmmmm............
7. The Dev Team - I see the devs are working with the BTC guys which is perfect. Both sides can help each other and grow together. While other coins trip and fail the devs will help both camps. Bitcoin and Litecoin go hand in hand.
8. China - China is ahead of the curve on many things at this time. By the government pushing to educate the public on Bitcoin it will draw interest on Litecoin.
9. Mining - If you did your mining for Bitcoin then you know the gpu mining is dead. Most gpu miners came to Litecoin and want Litecoin to have similar success.
10. Everyone Loves the Underdog - True story! Plus it's easy to mine, its cheap to buy and the "L" on a silver coin looks so freakin cool!
1. Incorrect.
2. No.
3. They aren't looking at LTC.
4. They are irrelevant.
5. Mt Gox will most likely shut down before adding LTC.
6. If they do that, they're making a mistake.
7. Relevance?
8. Pushing the public to eat fruit will make them eat more vegetables?
9. LTC isn't the most profitable coin.
10. "cool"? It's your personal opinion.

Need more?

@LaudaM i am guessing that you are a female or a little girl but this is irrelevant  let me answer your answers.

1. says you
2. says you
3. says you
4. says you
5. says you
6. says you
7. says you
8. says you
9. says you
10. yes I think LTC is cool and (says me)

it is not like I agree with everything because half of what have been said there doesn't make sense , but from now and on lets turn it personal because "this how you like it". LTC is the coin after BTC in all matters Wink
2947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin asic miner on: November 14, 2013, 09:39:47 PM
there seems to be a big and legit company working on developing an Asic scrypt miner, I dont have any information rather this post, I was following this thread for couple of months and today they announced this https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,2859.msg54095.html#msg54095

the thread was started on April 2013, so I guess they were planning/working on it for around 7 months now, but there is still no evidence shown except the CEO of the company that will be developing the product making an official annoucment in the Hindu news paper, I looked into it and they seem legit.

at least now i know which bitcoin store not to use. i would never do any business with people who have this kind of attitude. if he for one second thought about the benefits of diversity that can be promoted then he might see how the business can flourish based on many different groups finding interest. i for one would love to do bit of shopping with coins i mine off gpus. for a store owner it would make no difference at all since he can easily exchange alts anytime. i honestly dont see whats the problem here. we should all develop as one and make good example of cryptocurrency community. acting like this dont make us any better than modern day masses made into being competitive and greedy over always deminishing fiat value.

Bitcoin community and this forum does not need you. You need them. It is a leech and host game, not two leeches or two hosts game.

what can you do ? makes us leave? .... oh yes you cant, so sad, meanwhile I am enjoying reading your posts Smiley I have this picture when you are so mad eating your shit.. everyone will read this post will take just a moment to know what kind of a person you are.

I'm finding it hilarious, personally.

You are still on Bitcoin forum and thus, even though you are obviously oblivious of the fact, adding to BTC value and subtracting from LTC value.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!  Grin

"We have ways to make you talk, but you have nothing interesting to say."

you do realize that this apply to you, you are describing just your self and you dont know it,it is like you are fighting with reflect in the mirror, hahahaha you made my day.

BTW I really don't give a shit about this sub-forum anymore

You are free to leave this forum and any Bitcoin exchange as well. It should help you realise how worthless your prescious LTC really is, how
it has no life on it's own, how everything LTC community did for all this years is mere theft of actualy so few parts of what BTC community
did previously and so on. Just do it!

so you want me to leave this forum ? I really got to you, it is funny, you are left without all good facts and reasons that you wish if I left the forum....... so much failure

2952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 02:50:34 PM
you guys are really pity, I mean  you are the bright ones who invested in the best coin and you are saved, but you still come here and cry about Litecoin, you know I find the psychical part of it amazing.

This is Bitcoin forum, dumbass. You came to our piss-yard, not other way around. I and many here would be very thankful if you LTC people
stop coming here and keep LTC debates (including "developement", what next Bitcoin exchange might add LTC and so on) at your piss-yard.

You arrogant worthless incompetent shits are sooooo lucky that theymos is owner of this forum. I would not tolerate you for a second more.

oooh look someone is pissed off, so it is personal ha ?  well I am a bitcoiner and Litecoiner if you don't like it live with it or kill your self, and by the way we are at ALT sub-forum I can talk as much I want about Litecoin and I respect the forum rules so I bring all Litecoin matters over here, otherwise you have the hole forum to cry but you pick this sub-forum and exactly Litecoin.... mmmm this must mean something.

BTW I really don't give a shit about this sub-forum anymore, it was along time when I lost interest, when we did discuss smart things and few alts now it is like ..... you
2953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 02:34:21 PM
To prove Litecoin is dead you only have to do one thing :

Never post again here or in any Litecoin related thread.

Thanks.
Or 51% it.

oh I would love to see you doing that, you remind me of a member who wanted to pay 5000$ to 51% Litecoin about less than a year ago, you guys are really pity, I mean  you are the bright ones who invested in the best coin and you are saved, but you still come here and cry about Litecoin, you know I find the psychical part of it amazing.

through my life experience I've learned few things one of these things is when there is a big negative attention around something this means that this thing is doing it right and the same way goes for when there is a big positive attention, Let me give you an example, think of Justen bieber so much hate but still doesn't mean  anything to his pocket because he is a billionaire, or look at this shitty actions of miley cyrus , I agree negative what a shit right, but she made millions out of that.

as much you keep bumping this thread and bringing Litecoin to discussion as much new users knows about it and research it, and hey yet you didnt prove with facts that Litecoin is dead or dying.

Litecoin network now: 40+ GH/s
Litecoin Price now  :  $4.17
Litecoin client: 0.8.5.1 ( the most up to date alt )

describe what is a dead coin for me please I cant catch up with your logic
2954  Economy / Securities / Re: Islamic Bank of Bitcoin on: November 14, 2013, 01:21:00 PM
Hi ,

I want to learn fatwa of bitcoin. I mean Im not 100 %  sure of it , because ( I think)  the way how  bitcoin created and value of it  is not so clear.

Is there any fatwa that you know from some hanafi(or other Islamic) scholars? Although , Im fan of bitcoin and also investor of it. I cant spend it with inner calm.

I don't know why do you need a Fatwa on Bitcoin, it is the same matter as Gold or any other product, demand and supply give it a value the same as gold and silver, the creation of Bitcoin is the same as mining gold.

the problem with Muslim world is that these things wont spread that fast, and when it gets popularity just then Big Imams starts researching the subject and yet you will hear 10 versions of it.
2955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 01:12:02 PM
Litecoin is actually growing in USD lol. Too bad its decreasing in BTC.

And decreasing in a big way.

But hey, it's increasing in the worthless fiat we're all trying to get away from and the worthless fiat which is now down 97% and soon to be down 100%.

Like I said, pumpers are all the same, they lack any type of logic.  Stupid is as stupid does.

I said I will not post in this thread anymore but I cant ignore your ignorance, I did note few things about you:

1-so as a man who hate alts you spend so much time looking at alts, just looking at your user stats most time spent is on this sub-forum.
2- you keep saying how bitcoin is the only real currency ,yet in this same thread you trash bitcoin and say it is Fiat ( you have no Idea what the word means for sure).
3- you say all alts are worthless yet you say ixCoin is the future ( I guess  ixCoin is a potato not an alt).
4- and last an not least I did check your posts on other threads and Lols at you, you are a joke.

even my 5 years old daughter has a better common sense and can think better than you.

again guys, Litecoin is dead they want us to believe, give them that pleasure, we wont argue about that, yet we like to fuck dead horses think of it as a fetish so this is why we are investing in our "dead" horse.

Like I said genius, I have been very clear about what I think will go up and what will crash and burn and I posted pics of my trades to show I put my money where my mouth is.

Now tough guy, let me see you clearly post exactly which coins will go up and which will crash and why and then let me see some proof or at least tell me how much you put in this ShitCoin, Litecoin.

Don't be shy show some balls and double down, put it all on Litecoin if you're so smart.

In a few short months we will see who is right and who is dumber than a 5 year old.

so you want me to show what coin will raise ? you mean you want me to show you the future? or you want to hear my "prediction" about the coin (our shit coin), in this case I can tell that this is disappointing, and this proves my judgment about your ignorance, we all have have been talking the last 15+ pages and yet you are asking about opinions ? did you even read ?

now carry on son, when you get to the level of discussion I would be more than happy to discuss this matter with you.

2959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GHash.IO and double-spending against BetCoin Dice on: November 13, 2013, 01:26:09 PM
If I understand the CEX.IO website correctly, it's a place where you can temporarily buy mining power that runs onto your own node? We've seen one of those before, didn't we?

I am curious who is stupid enough to rent their hardware out to random strangers over the internet and whether they understand what the point of mining actually is.

An interesting and historic milestone! I think this would be the first time we've seen miners profitably double-spend against merchants. If ghash.io was selling their hashpower to a criminal (and defrauding merchants is a crime regardless of the exact technique you're using), then that suggests we should be formally discouraging miners from using that pool.

well it is a private operation with private hardware, miners cant do anything about it, this is the time when miners have to start thinking about using p2pool.
2960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: scenarios if US Govt tried to take down bitcoin? on: November 13, 2013, 12:20:29 PM
it will take some time to change that, most nodes wont be able to broadcast/listen other nodes, and changing the port can create two different forks old nodes cant listen new nodes.

Edit: and this can buy them some time....

True - I was only meaning that changing the port is technically dead easy (i.e. they would be playing "whack-a-mole").
