Niiiiiiiice double-bottom forming on Gox!  Cheesy

Meaning? (new to this)

it means that the price will go up.... but gox is irrelevant at this point, that double bottom has to be on stamp IMHO so we can say that the price will go up, my suggestion is 450-480 will be visited then we will be going up from that point.

my best suggestion is to HODL...
2062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: February 14, 2014, 05:54:46 PM
and IMHO diff. factor will slow down this year ( after few months) Moree's Law will come into appliance, just thinking about a raising difficulty of 10-50 times this year is a bit extreme, this means 10-50 the hardware out there now has to be deployed. add to that most efficient chips out there are from 110-28nm, the first Gen ASICMINER, avalon and BFL will go offline after few months. at least this is what I think, but we will see how things will develop...
2063  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: February 14, 2014, 05:46:44 PM
you will get a free unit for your first orders, so I think this should compensate for what is happening... I am happy that they are somehow moving...
The "free unit" (which is in a later patch) just brings the price to $7200/unit. People with December orders still paid $2400 more than January, which is a bit unfortunate.

I am aware of that as well, but that "free unit" will always make up for some of the hassle... I am not sure what else can be done, PETA-MINE operation supposed to start in early January but it didn't (Cointerra and Bitmine hardware ordered) and we are so late, we missed a huge profit here, but we are not the only ones here,  I don't want to think too much about what we've missed because it doesn't change anything now...
2064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: February 14, 2014, 05:31:00 PM
They appear to be shipping January units now...Huh  So for the extra money the December batch paid you got about 3 days of extra mining time.

that how knc and hashfast handled this too

and i think its right to do so

consider this: what is better? one customer fucked up, one "happy". or two customers fucked up?
I am the same customer since I have many units on order and I am not happy that one machine that is $14400 showed up 2 days before the machine that cost $6000, at the very least they should be refunding $2000 to make it equal to buying one January and one March unit.

you will get a free unit for your first orders, so I think this should compensate for what is happening... I am happy that they are somehow moving...

Hallo
You will be happy for a week or two. Later will be crying. Learn from the mistakes of others, not their own.
Please calculate a purchase, and not to be positive on very large profits. If the price of BTC will be upwards, you have a plus.
Some private orderers on Bitmine and Cointerra have order around 10-50TH and many small as 1TH compared what ordered group of Belgium "CryptX" 100TH .Do not forget to count penoty for each order.
First dividend maybe oke. Then a massive attack from the other, private investor.
bye bye $$$

I know your kind Wink  my advice to you is to make sure to keep away from this security, this is the best practice, instead of bitching about how stupid we are, smart ass...

You forget, how you shaking pants on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.msg5077413#msg5077413 not just in one

And have look how stable miner form bitmine ishttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.msg5102719#msg5102719 Have look 3 link to the wallet. How long and stable working

Not everybody know that bitfury had problems, I will not write the whole history of CryptX

And please do not write to me that someone smarter and stupid.

what is wrong with an investor being concerned about the delivering time ? and BTW I posted that on Bitmine thread, do you have any problem with that ?

do you want to remind us of the risks that we took before investing ? like we didn't know what we were doing ? what makes you think that we cant do math and calculate for our selves? to be a customer of Cryptx is one thing, to be an Investor of Cryptx operation is another thing...

So you would like to label us as idiots ? we get your point now stop spamming and go do something useful... move on...
2066  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: February 14, 2014, 04:09:13 PM
I think it is going as planned. We will need to spend some time in these levels so that nobody believes that it will go to 800 again in the immediate future.

Unless people believe that it is good to sell the coins for 400, they will not do it Wink Also the buyers need to be tamed to not buy the flashcrashes. Time is an answer to these issues.

Be wary for Bitstamp price. It is much higher than the other functioning exchanges now. If Gox finds all the bitcoins and withdrawals are resumed, they will be sold in other exchanges (bitstamp being the only one with fiat withdraw option) with massive damage to bitcoin price.

ADD: If anyone thought that Bitstamp is somehow Slovenian, the following excerpt from open orders shatters the belief:

Sell   Feb. 14, 2014, noon   30.00000000   $648.20   $19,446.00   Open

It is impossible to think that anyone else but the British would have specifically coded their software to show "noon" for 12:00 GMT.

Probably there's also "midnight", try it out  Cheesy

They're British but they have a Slovenian banking partner. You can  also tell by their wiring information if it's not somewhere on their website

they are Slovenians, I know most some them personally (met in Bitcoin meetings here in Slovenia), starting from the founder, it is true that their operation is based in UK, I think it has something to do with Legal certainty in UK than in Slovenia...

but this doesn't matter, what matters most to me is the strong vision they have, and their consistence on improving their communication with the customer and the timely efficient service and the simplicity of the site that brought the success.

I personally, If I would change my Job to start dealing with Bitcoin as a career, I would be more than happy to work for them...

Haha, Mark Karpeles and his dessert coffee again:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob9Ak1t09Ao&t=153

Lol I don't know why everyone makes a big deal about the drink like it's the most important thing going on, it's just a regular drink from Starbucks as far as I can tell.

there is no backdoor/coding problem at mtgox, the problem is simple, Mark keeps eating your bitcoins, it is clearly what is happening you can check your self on that video hahahahahaha

anyone hazard a "back-of-napkin" guess at the value of these shares given expected hash rate?
Been thinking about that, so here is my simplified math:
if CryptX deploys this month all hashpower he has on order, that's 330thash, it will be around 1% of total network hashrate.
Suppose he manage to stay at that 1% with smart reinvestment.

Per day, there are 3600 btc mined - 0% network growth, or can I use 4000 btc/day to do the math?
4000 * 1% = 40 btc/day
40 * 7 = 280 btc/week

Some of that goes for operating costs, 35% of the profit for reinvestments. I will simplify again and use half of mined coins for that.
What' left is 140 btc/week for divs.
140 / 80675 = 0.001735 btc/share per week, or 0.09 btc/share per year (yield?)

If we use that yield to be 33% of the share price, that gives 0.27 btc/share
25% -- 0.36 btc/share

??

if only the 35% reinvestment will be used wisely to add more hash power at minimum costs, and if diff.factor will slow down after few months in which I believe it will, then yes, your calculations are close to reality somehow...

I've also noticed that open orders down to 500 are pulling out, people believing the price will dip even further ?

I did try to bring the share price a little down to be able to buy more and I've just got burned, I wont play this way anymore, now I am just comfortable with my current position.

anyone trying to get a share just buy it for the market value don't try to manipulate the price or you will just get burned...

Just stop investing with graphs and tricks, invest based in the company based on belief in their strategy.

Ps. That was you? Made me feel really bad for buying some more @ 0.8 :p

As I said before, I thought I would push the price down to 0.06, someone surprised me and bought through my wall. I cancelled my orders and stopped.playing. I don't care, I still hold more than I will ever need...

And who said that I don't Believe in this operation? I otherwise wouldn't invest... I still think that this operation will bring a kick as profit if cryptx manage the funds wisely in which I have no doubts...

were you the guy playing with the 1000 share wall?

yes Wink

and also the one putting 1200+

Edit: don't worry I've learned my lesson, I wont be putting any more walls, I forget that there is only 80000 share out there, I've just realized that they've cancelled the IPO, which makes my position even stronger.

looking to BTC/USD ratio, the share price is really attractive, I bet that when more hash power comes online the share price will double or even triple, especially if the BTC price keeps at these levels  Wink

simply if CryptX manage to reinvest the 35% wisely, and even if the share price will be 3 times at what it is today, a share will break even and make profit, thinking that the Difficulty factor will raise forever is just insane, Moore's law will take over, and after few months there will be not significant difficulty raise and this operation will be one of the best to invest in.

Cointerra is already shipping and people are receiving devices, Bitmine just demonstrated their desk and they said they will start shipping in quantity this week, now all we need is an update from CryptX if they have any information about when they will get their hardware and an ETA about when the operation will start...

We are aware of this issue and our logistics department is currently setting up alternative ways to deliver the units to our Russian customers, an update will follow as soon as the problem has been solved and we ask for your kind comprehension and patience on this matter.

Seriously, any update about production/shipping/performance ? people are losing their patience...

Just got my cointerra unit in today, went to configure it and the web access page is password protected. No documentation came with my unit at all, and the cointerra website FAQ says nothing about what the login info is. Cointerra isn't answering their phones either, I'm really mad right now...

try this username:root password:cointerra I dont know if it will work for the webpage but it should work for SSH some one mentioned this few pages before
