2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin capable to recover from Financial Crisis? on: December 23, 2020, 01:59:39 PM
If you’re willing to hold bitcoin long term (and I mean for years) then you WILL make large profits. Too many people don’t have the required patience to be successful though, too many people sell when the price goes down & but when it goes up. Not everybody is cut out for crypto Wink
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 23, 2020, 01:51:26 PM
Juventus can be considered a kind of outsider for this Champions League. We are fighting over our personal opinions really: I believe the odds of them winning are very good and I took my chances. They remind me Milan in 2002-03 when they won CL against all the odds  Wink

Juventus are definitely good enough to win the CL. They have many good players, any team that has CR7 is capable of winning it. The thing about the CL is that it’s just so tough to win, there are at least 6 or 7 teams with the quality to become champions.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 22, 2020, 08:00:36 PM
Speculation has a way of making things real later on. I know Liverpool and Klopp will do all they can to keep Salah but as we saw with the Sterling drama and then Coutinho, they know if the player wants to leave, they will not stop them. I think most of this is just noise,,, Salah is always in the news for politics but he knows he cannot find love outside of Liverpool.

I don’t think he will go, both Real & Barca are broke. No fans in stadia means a massive loss in income so I don’t think massive deals like this will happen. Covid is destroying everything, including football.
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any ideas on why XRPs price is fluctuating? on: December 22, 2020, 06:51:05 PM
The wonderful world of crypto my friend, wild swings in either direction are common place. In 20-30 years the volatility will be lessened but it’s a rollercoaster at times which is why long term investment is always best. Don’t panic when you’re down but don’t sell all when you’re up.
2985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley says "betting on bitcoin is harmful to the U.S. dollar" on: December 22, 2020, 06:42:36 PM
It’s a good thing if BTC is bad for the $. The purchasing value of the $ has been tanking for decades, anything that protects you against corrupt banks & politicians actions is a good thing. They just keep printing more toilet paper USD to try & conceal their f**k ups but it won’t work forever. Covid is sending the financial world into abyss but bitcoin can save us.
2986  Other / Off-topic / Re: Aside from "making money", what else brought you to crypto space? on: December 22, 2020, 06:23:05 PM
I arrived in 2015 but I was buying since 2014. My main reason was investment & the chance of making big profits which luckily have & continue to work well. In the early days it was fun & cool to be anonymous & be my own bank. That’s changed a lot now with KYC everywhere but I wouldn’t change anything, I’m so glad I was lucky to be involved early.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 22, 2020, 06:10:19 PM
EFL Cup = you never know Tongue
Less favorites teams can turn the table upside down and make the big ones embarrassed although they don't care much about this title comparing to European or EPL titles of course. Everton vs ManU is interesting also tomorrow.

100% true.
It all depends what kind of team Pep puts out & how seriously he takes it. He will of course have his eyes on the bigger prizes.
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @elonmusk "Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money" on: December 21, 2020, 02:32:42 PM
Elon likes his TSLA stock to rise, he’s not going to tell everybody bitcoin is amazing & to buy it as it’d get people to buy bitcoin & not TSLA.

Nothing to see here. He’s not the first & won’t be the last public figure to diss bitcoin.
2989  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merit on bitcointalk need advice from old iser😪😓 on: December 21, 2020, 02:15:33 PM
I am newbie in bitcointalk, i don’t know how to get merit on bitcointalk? Give me some suggestion about this☺

Don’t get too obsessed with it & you will get some. You need to be a helpful member of the community, make constructive, useful, clear & concise posts. I’d advise you to post in Meta, General Discussion & Speculation. You’re not going to get much merit posting in off topic.

Edit - Just looked at your post history, you’re not going to get any merit at all posting in bounty threads.
2990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 21, 2020, 02:00:13 PM
I really expected more from Leeds yesterday. I guess 2 early goals really hit them hard, they were out of the game after 20 minutes.
They really started well and are still in a comfortable position (7 points away from the relegation zone) but they are in a really bad form recently. They need to start collecting points soon again in order to be safe.

I'm interested in how Chelsea will perform tonight, I think they have more than enough to easily beat West Ham.

Leeds have a problem, they don’t change their style. Whoever they are playing it’s all out attack. They are not good enough to play like this & the big teams punish them. They need to maybe make themselves harder to beat &  not be so attacking.
2991  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't panic about Covid-19 Pandemic on: December 20, 2020, 06:56:36 PM
I’m not remotely panicking, I’m in my 20’s & relatively healthy. I certainly won’t be taking any vaccine, my immune system is more than good enough to fight off the phantom flu.
2992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2020/2021 on: December 20, 2020, 06:51:36 PM
If Leeds continue to play kamikaze attacking football they could easily find themselves in deep trouble at the bottom of the table. Their no fear approach is admirable but a little naive.
2993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your BTC for $100 000, and never go back to the game again? on: December 19, 2020, 10:24:27 PM
I will never sell all of my bitcoin, I’ve been in this game & HODLED since 2014. Sure I’ll sell a % during this bull run but why would anybody want to be 100% in fiat? Bitcoin is the best asset in the world with huge room for growth upwards. Only an idiot becomes a full NOCOINER.
2994  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 19, 2020, 09:54:55 PM
If you only just started buying bitcoin then your journey has only just begun. It’s not a bad thing but you’re going to have to be patient if you want life changing money. Buy a fixed amount every month & hold for at least 6-7 years, this is how you’ll need to play it if you want huge profits.
2995  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS THIS ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION? on: December 19, 2020, 09:35:12 PM
The lockdowns, restrictions etc have put stress on a lot of peoples mental health. You are not alone, there is always somebody worse off than you though.

Maybe try & speak to a close friend or relative that you can trust, it’s good to talk. Don’t leave it all bottled up inside.
Do you know what I’ve been doing during lockdown? I’ve been going for long walks at a place of beauty, it really helps your state of mind.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 19, 2020, 08:53:35 PM
I feel sorry for Arteta, it’s just not working for him right now, is it. I have a feeling he might get sacked soon which is sad, it’s not good to see anybody lose their job. It started so well for him but things are going bad, fast.
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fishing sites and fake wallet on: December 17, 2020, 03:55:59 PM
Sorry for the loss, OP. What I will suggest to yourself & others is ALWAYS check the website URL of links when you get emails & search on Google. Where possible always type the URL you are visiting into the browser, do not use search engines.

Unfortunately there are scum bags everywhere in life preying on the naive & careless.
2998  Other / Off-topic / Re: My MOM was Happy? on: December 17, 2020, 02:40:53 PM
Always good to see people doing well in life, especially when they make serious money in an asset I share a love with, bitcoin. Congratulations OP, nice to read! Bitcoin has given many of us here huge opportunities that we may not have had without it.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 17, 2020, 02:05:03 PM
It was a great win in the last minute from Liverpool yesterday.Mourinho parked the bus against the wrong team this time and it was punished in the end.Today on paper easy games as Manchester United should not have any problem against Sheffield and Aston Villa should win or draw against Burnley.

I’m confident Man Utd will take the 3 points tonight. Sheff Utd are really terrible so I don’t think they’ll put up much of a fight. The Aston Villa vs Burnley game I’m less sure about, could go either way.

I read that Bale wants to return to Real Madrid after the loan expires. Bale wants to finish his contract with Real Madrid. If this happens, what will happen to him if Zidane is still at Madrid? Whether he will be on the bench again, we know Zidane's start to the season doesn't need him.

Truly terrific player but injured far too often & I question his desire & hunger for the game. Not a good move by Spurs, I will be surprised if he starts 10 PL games this season.
