302  Economy / Services / Re: Easily earn BTC by helping Fluttercoin create a profit switching multipool on: April 16, 2014, 08:41:18 PM
Basically, the Fluttercoin community wants a profit switching pool that trades for BTC, and then uses the BTC to purchase FLT.  This is the key - that all mined rewards are traded into FLT.

Fluttercoin has traded a volume over 1 million USD in the past 24 hours with a hash-rate between 5 and 20 gH/s

If you have a mutlipool or code to run such a pool, its really easy money for you, as the first with such a pool will be king especially after FLT rewards start dropping steadily in the next few weeks.

Has anyone contacted you about this yet?
Yep - this is just for others not part of the official project (the more the merrier right) - personally I would love to see multiple pools.  We have a team working on this actually, and there will be an announcement from the "official" pool Friday
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT NEW Proof Of Transaction - PoT / PoW / PoS UPDATE NOW! on: April 16, 2014, 08:20:55 PM
o...k i get you're busy but I wasnt just trying to state the obvious bud. Just about the mine and autobuy real world items with the flutter once that comes around.

I like that someone could buy a miner or set their PC to mine on the multipool and they'll gradually receive items through the post whatever it could be. If mini bars of gold just an attractive notion to set hardware to mine and receive gold through the post over the year(s), as well as a lucky shot of getting a little bit more Wink

I love this idea!  mining gold

Regarding this announcement Kidcoin, if I don't have it right, I have another idea I think is great hear me out:

Multipool mines select coins for BTC and buys up flutter yadda yadda...

Now after that, with enough marketing maybe this flutter could then be optionally set to go towards buying real world items...
first thought on my mind was the mini gold bars on offer, using the POT with the mining to basically mine real world gold with a chance of even more as it happens.

thoughts?
LOL this is what the pool will do - mine to trade into BTC, then buy FLT with said BTC

Stores etc are in the works I hear.

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT NEW Proof Of Transaction - PoT / PoW / PoS UPDATE NOW! on: April 16, 2014, 07:13:47 PM
seriously don't miss the boat guys.

Multipool is in dev and this coin is undervalued even with so many miners. Remember these miners will detach during and most after the multipool transition, an many as on the blackcoin pool buying it up to 10,000 and bubble to the moon and back.

+POT: love it, was worried it could be scammed but sounds great, the only coin incentive so far to encourage usage by vendors, especially vendors who sell masses of items cheap

You are correct, until what you say about the vendors 'sell items cheap.' PoT requires 500.00000001 per transaction, so if FLT becomes worth $0.01, items for sale @ $5+ only qualify. China gets left behind since they are kings of cheeeeeeeep '$1 products'. Shipping charges and bulk product orders might take care of this issue. Currently FLT is worth $0.0075 usd, based on 1500 satoshis and BTC valued at $500. As value of FLT increases against fiat, PoT will become harder (edit: more expensive) to hit.

Don't get me wrong, I love my FLT and very Pro-FLT, but I'm not sugar-coating anything about any coin.
Not to worry... these things will be addresses - POT will need to evolve with the times.

When FLT become POS please?

It is already POS, your coins just need to mature for 30 days.

Oh i thought 100% pos

100% interest?? no, 5% yearly

note for the owner of fluttercoin website ,

website is driven by wordpress + jupiter template from themeforest

flutter coin logo is too big for 4/3 screens . good for 16/9 but buggy with 4/3

you just have to reduce logo width and height .

and the windows wallet download link is dead

sorry for bad english ...

Thanks I will take a look and fix

Thanks!  that helps... I did notice that the other day on my nix laptop, just hadn't had time to fix

OKay I got that far. Thanks.

Next question is, does doing any sort of transaction at all trigger a PoT reward?  Can I just send 1000 FLT back and forth between 4 or 5 wallets and collect endless PoT rewards?  Not that I would do this myself but I am trying to see if there is an obvious game-able aspect to this concept.

Side note:  Does transferring the FLT between wallets reset the PoS waiting period to the beginning so if it is, say, 6 weeks, you have to hold it a full 6 weeks after receiving it)?

POT doesn't work that way, check out the whitepaper, there is no way to game the system without extreme luck, which is fine.

Yes, transferring FLT between wallets resets the POS aging process.  Its 30 days.

the dev has said many times you can't game the system by sending back and forth.

Interesting - I'd like to read up on how this is prevented, since it seems you'd have to track who sent what to whom and add in some sort of 'PoT half life' that gradually reduces PoT rewards distributed over and over to the same addresses (or same wallets, though I am not sure how that would work).

I am tempted to see if its possible to automate this as a kind of unit test of PoT, since if anything the last 30 years of computers has shown, if X is exploitable, X *will* get exploited so it's better to test it up front where you can see it than let it get tested in the dark where you won't know about it till something starts smoking.
No, just truncate large transactions or outputs from being considered - impossible to automate - impossible to exploit unless your lucky

Send over 10 outputs and only the 5 are considered, and only 10 tx's are considered.

And the transaction must be over 500 FLT

Good luck

Hashrate was near 20 gH yesterday for a time...

316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT NEW Proof Of Transaction - PoT / PoW / PoS UPDATE NOW! on: April 15, 2014, 03:14:04 AM
We need someone to get a multipool going that sells coins for FLT - the bounty really for such a pool is pure profit.  Even charging 2 - 3% you will make a nice amount of $$$

Its possibly to say do an LTC pool or other profitable coin, pull a list of coin balances from each account, figure out the percentage they get, sell the coins for BTC, then buy FLT with the BTC

That's really the hard part, the profit switching part isn't that hard IMHO

Again someone need to do this - I do not have the time to undertake such a project - if people want me to pay for someone to build this, feel free to donate to this and future FLT development at this BTC address 1P4kxnywMWw27Fu4rLAtqjtrc168C8x9cM

I think I understand the basics of how the PoT / PoS systems work but I do not understand how you actually participate in the PoT / PoS systems.  Does my wallet need to mine?  Is there special address I need to be pointed to?  What does fluttercoind do?  I tried opening it and a dos windows opens and closes real fast.  Are there any guides on how to participate in the PoT / PoS systems?

Thanks!!!
POS you simply hold coins for a minimum of 30 coin days (roughly 30 real days give or take a few hours), then leave your wallet unlocked, and you will then see the POS indicator turn green...

POT you just use the coin - sending coins, receiving coins, etc.  There are limits, including constraints on the number of considered transactions or outputs within transactions to eliminate automated systems that would spam the block chain.

Ok great!  This is what I had thought but I wanted to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong.  I had held some coins in a wallet but never received from the PoS system.  My wallet was locked and I kept having to use walletpassphrase "InsertPassword" 9999999 true  I had recently traded the coins around so that I have a new wallet that is unlocked.

Has details of the PoS been posted somewhere?  I hadn't come across them if so.  If I held 10,000 coins, what is the % earned for PoS?  For newbies like myself it would be useful to have a little more details on the website that lets us know how these systems work, time frames (hold coins for 30 days), earnings, don't lock your wallet, etc...

Keep up the good work!

Pump is over, coin going to drop like crazy. Get ready kids.

it might drop a little, but not like crazy.

it's still low priced compared to what it will be in a few weeks. the first halving hasn't even happened yet.
This kind of volume isn't a pump
