Updated record 15-11 (58%) ---got 0-2 since the Suns pick ended as push. Big drop on the winning percentage as well, so let's bounce back.

Pick 1 Cavaliers -9.5 - loss
They loss to Sixers on their first game back at home, now it's time for them to start winning. The spread is high but they have been covering the high spread when they are winning.

Pick 2 Indiana -4 - loss
Loss to charlotte, I'm expecting them to beat the Raptors on the road.

Pick 3 Denver -5 - loss
Also coming from 2 losses on the road, one from the team that they'll be hosting the Sacramento Kings. Nuggets are fresh here while Kings are on a back to back game. Murray is listed as doubtful, I think if he will not play they'll be fine as there are lots that would step up on a must win game.

Pick 4 Warriors -3 - loss
Warriors has been hot and are on a winning streak. Clippers though needs to bounce back but since they are without Kawhi Leonard. I like to continue following the Warriors hoping their win streak will continue, they are on 5 win streak now.

Updated record 15-15 (50%) ---loss all my 4 picks. 0-4

I guess it's timely to rest for now after that 4 losses. My win rate now is at 50% but that's a losing rate since the odds are -110 and below on my picks. I guess I'm just gonna enjoy the all star break without a bet, will be back fresh and will try to start winning again.
302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post quality matters than replying fast on: February 16, 2024, 08:05:19 AM
It’s never a problem if you reply too fast since there are really good posters that are actually great in constructing their answers and contents are actually on point. The forum has no issue with that. However, if you wish to chase some merits and you want to hit the first or second spot next to the question, but you have no significant information to add, then you are only ruining the quality of your post. You might even have an off-topic answer if you make your post too fast without studying or researching the topic first before posting. I have noticed some posters like that and to be honest, they are only spamming in the forum.

There’s no competition in the forum, so don’t be obsessed trying to hit the first or the second spot just to earn some merits. Just take your time and as much as possible, try to do brainstorming first until you have all your ideas gathered and summarized in the end. Even if you hit the last page in the topic, as long as your post is meritable, you will definitely earn some merits without doubt.
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make everybody to win in their crypto trading? on: February 15, 2024, 09:59:19 PM
Unfortunately, no. We all have different levels in managing and performing our trades, which means the outcome would definitely not the same. Some will end up losing, while others manage to do their trades rightly and profitably, and I think being patient can do a lot in trading. While others can be very good when it comes to analyzing the market well and predicts whether it’s good to trade or not, but if they lack patience everytime they decide to trade, their trades will definitely end up meaningless and useless.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 15, 2024, 09:20:37 PM
Bitcoin is only a tool, it does not actually make your life change positively and increase your standard of living. But if you take advantage those opportunities brought by bitcoin using your own sufficient knowledge and skills, you will definitely gain a very positive outcome out from trading or investing.

But you won’t experience the good side of bitcoin instantly, as majority still suffer from losing before starting to profits most especially if they are still newbies to trading or investing. However, they can always change their fate if they continue to take risk while harnessing their skills and strategies, until they can finally say that they are good enough and are now able to invest or trade in profits.

Updated record 15-9 (63%) ---It's a profitable day, we are (2-1)

Let's continue.

Pick 1 : Magic +3.5 Loss
They won their last 2 games, the last game vs the Bulls went to OT but they still manage to win and cover. Later, they are hosting the OKC which beat them on their last meeting on the road, I think they are up for a revenge and will take the win. Magic remained to have a good home record with 17-7, I'm backing based on the stats.

Pick 2 : Suns -5 Push
Sacramento hasn't been good on the road, while the Suns came from a loss vs the hot Warriors, I feel they're gonna bounce back strong at home.

Pick 3 : Bucks -8 Loss
Although Bucks are on a back to back game after a blowout win vs Denver Nuggets. I feel their confidence now is back after beating the defending champion. Miami is still playing without Butler, I see another double digit win by the home team here.

Updated record 13-8 (62%) ---Not a profitable day (1-1). We need to get back to being profitable.

Pick 1 : Bulls +4 - win
They have been playing great lately, almost upset the Magic but fall short in the OT. Hope they'll finally get a win here.

Pick 2: Rockets +4.5 win
They are coming from a road trip where they didn't win a single game.
Back at home now, with 18-9 record, I think they'll at least cover here if they loss.

Pick 3 : Nuggets -1 - loss
Bucks had a dominant on their last game but against the Nuggets, I doubt.. I think they haven't figure out the right chemistry to win, so they are on a big test vs the Nuggets, and I don't want to gamble on them.

307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Do You Want To Go To If You Win $2 million On Lottery on: February 12, 2024, 02:40:36 PM
I'm not moving, instead I will just stay in my country as the living expenses isn't that high. $2 million is already a fortune for me, I would be wise with that, I would reinvest it so it will grow. Maybe, to reward myself of that huge winning, I'm going to tour the entire country so it will be less expensive, and when the business that I had invested coming from the money I won is growing, then that might be the time I'll take the fruits of it and spend it to go worldwide vacation. This is just a plan though since I haven't won in actual life, but for sure it could change once I have the real money on my bank account.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 12, 2024, 01:01:20 PM
What can you say about the new additions to the Dallas Mavericks? With PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, the Mavs get PJ from Charlotte in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a first-round pick. Daniel Gafford, on the other hand, came from Washington in exchange for Richauln Holmes and a first-round pick. Watching their game against the OKC last night, I think they are a great addition for the Mavs. They can be a lob threat every time Luka drives. Gafford, a high-flying big man, is a good pair with the Mavericks' first-round pick, Derek Lively III. Imagine them in the froncourt and Luka playing as the point. Lobs are everywhere if that happens.

PJ Washington, on the other hand, is a versatile forward who can stretch the floor and also slash through the rim. What's good about him is that he doesn't use the ball that much to score; he can score off the ball, and that's good because the Mavericks have a backcourt of Luka and Kyrie who are both ball dominant.

What is also good about this acquisition is that both Gafford and Washington are young; both of them are just 25 years old. They are not in their prime yet, which is good, but with proper training and workouts, I think they can be better in the future.

Overall, the Mavericks won that trade, as you can clearly see in their game against the OKC.

It's a good deal. I am a fan of PJ Washington, he and Gafford are good additions for Dallas. And I don't like the arrogant and entitled attitude of Grant Williams. He's sometimes acting like he is a superstar which is far from reality. And Gafford already proved that he has the potential. It's sad to see Seth Curry sent to a mediocre team but he is not really doing well this season, probably because he is already aging and he is not like his brother Steph.
They had made the OKC Thunder a bad team. lol. .. But let's see more from them, if these two new addition to the team will contribute at least 15 points per game on a + overall rating, that would be big already for the team. Now that Kyrie and Luka are also healthy, I think they are now ready for the playoffs and we should be expecting their ranking to improve in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, it seems like the Clippers and PG13 are still not reaching of renewing their contract. PG13 becomes a free agent at the end of the season and it will be very risky for the Clips. There are already rumors saying that PG13 could return to Indiana and join Hali and Siakam.
It's too early to speculate though, if the Clippers will win the NBA Finals, then for sure PG13 will be renewed with a good contract.

Updated record 12-7 (63%) ---We had a profitable day...

Okay, okay.. Another profitable day.  I almost had it perfect if Curry didn't hit the game winner.

Moving on while I'm stil hot.

Pick 1 - Heat +5.5 - win
Last time these two met Celtics had a blowout win, but now Miami Heat had figure out how to win, I guess it will be a close game.

Pick #2 - Kings +3.5 - loss
Both teams are healthy, the home team are playing back to back game and  had been blownout by the Dallas while the Kings had blownout the Nuggets at home. I will ride with the momentum of the Kings here.

Updated record 13-8 (62%) ---Not a profitable day (1-1). We need to get back to being profitable.

310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What traders must know on: February 12, 2024, 09:33:31 AM
All those things you listed OP are necessary for a trader to succeed. However, I think the most important concern is learning on how to control your emotions. Not all traders are capable to control their emotions even those long time traders in the market. This is the reason why despite of their expertise, they still experience inevitable losses due to high emotions that they fail to avoid.

Nevertheless, there is no perfect trading or a perfect trader. But if you know how to control your varied emotions, that is already close to perfection, an edge over other competent traders.
311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 12, 2024, 07:43:24 AM
You don’t just read in the forum and don’t bother to comprehend on what you are reading. You need to understand the content, the thought of every post you have read. Although it won’t happen like you understand completely on your first attempt, but if you make reading a habit, even without making extensive research, then you can easily comprehend and make the discussion more relevant and interesting.

I believe successful people in the world never stops reading. Because once they stop, it means they’re not on their own already. Reading and making good comprehension leads a person to its success most especially if reading becomes his passion.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: February 11, 2024, 09:56:47 PM
Now that I’m into crypto space, aside that I’m into trading and hodling, I also want to learn some crypto job opportunities so that if ever trading and investing might not be profitable anymore, at least I can still stay in crypto because I have developed good skills that made me still profitable and is giving me a sustainable source of income. Although I believe crypto jobs are not forever, but at least I have benefited from them even for a short period of time.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding the basics in Bitcoin before investing on: February 11, 2024, 07:57:36 PM
Newbies should know that investing in bitcoin carries high risk. If they are not patient enough and would always want quick profits, then they won’t be good with bitcoin long term hodling, since the price varies from time to time. One day it’s going upward, then suddenly its price declines, so your faith and patience will definitely be put into test.

However, as you go with bitcoin long term hodling, you will also develop your own strategy and slowly understand the process. Just learn from the early successful investors and you will have the chances to be like them too.

Updated record 10-6 (63%) ---We had a profitable day...

Let's pick again.

Cavaliers -8.5. win
This team is rested while the Raptors are on a back to back game. Last time these two met, Raptors defeated the cavs on the same venue, so I'm seeing this will be a revenge for the Cavs and I'm expecting a double digit win by the road team.

Dallas +2.5 win
Per record, OKC is the better team but since Dallas are currently on a winning streak, riding with them might be the right idea. We have +2.5, if they'll keep it close, our bet has a decent chance of winning.

Suns -1.5 loss
Both teams are on a winning streak but I like the Suns since they are the better team. Booker is probably playing, so that would improve their chance of winning.

315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: February 11, 2024, 04:19:24 AM
Although I'm still looking forward to this exhibition match, I am not as excited when it comes to betting on this. I'm not even sure if odds will be released by the top crypto betting sites. I highly doubt it. I tried looking for betting odds elsewhere and I'm not very lucky either. I guess this will just be a fight to watch and not to bet on.
I think betting is not necessary on this fight since it's pretty obvious that Manny will just dominate. I don't even remember that there was a betting odds for the fight of Manny against DK Yoo. Well, in that fight, he dominated DK Yoo who is not a natural boxer.

As regards the fight, I think Pacquiao is at an advantage primarily because this is a boxing match. Buakaw can box, too, but it's just not his sport. Well, this is pure entertainment anyway.
Huge advantage, they are on a different sport, and not only that, Manny is a legend fighting in his sport, he can't loss here.
What we will get here actually is just pure entertainment and hopefully they'll make draw a good script for the play to entertain the crowd, I'm sure Manny is good at that.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 11, 2024, 03:11:33 AM
Knowing that there is a need to take a break, and also reflect on your game decisions and whatever tends to control your games actions so having such ability to take that break will be a big addition to help save your balance from the total drain so taking that break becomes more essential to all player who wants to maintain a stable balance.
The big deal is when you can not control your gambling urge, or even take a break, when the loses become more excessive.

That's exactly it. Knowing when to stop is the beginning of everything. I understand it's complicated, but criticizing yourself always helps. Get help from people too. But the most important thing is to exercise moderation when there is a problem.

You can start doing moderation in gambling if you learn how to control yourself. People get addicted because of lack of control, and that is the problem that has to be solve. Taking a break is important, because when you are too focus on what you are doing, you won't be able to reflect and might not notice that you aren't doing well already. Even pro take a break sometimes, everyone needs to breath, reassess the strategy and ourselves (the most important), and the come back with discipline, I mean full discipline.
317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have a hard time bringing new people to the forum? on: February 10, 2024, 10:56:34 PM
I admit that was my goal before to bring this forum closer to the people I know so that they can also experienced the good things about it and benefit on it in the future. But when I started doing it, I realized it’s not that easy to make it happen since they will have something to say and eventually question the potentials of bitcoin and this forum so I started backing off. Instead of believing in bitcoin, they are trying to attack bitcoin instead. So that’s when I think it’s best to keep this forum to myself and just let other people witness how I prosper in life.
318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Isn’t it better late than sorry? on: February 10, 2024, 07:59:07 PM
Honestly, no one comes late with bitcoin investment. But it’s only a matter of now or never, so if you want to invest, do it now so you won’t be regretting in the end wishing you had invested earlier. Bitcoin is a long term investment, so one should always think it as a long term goal rather than a short term one. And while bitcoin halving is just around the corner, so better prepare for it and set your investment now, otherwise you’ll say the same words again and again if you still don’t invest.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 04:04:37 PM
a very careless act, gambling has ruined his life and also damaged family relationships for quite a long time, luckily his parents were generous and forgave him, maybe he comes from people who are quite well off, if they were poor people I'm sure his parents will not forgive him, this makes us more careful when gambling so as not to let our desires control us
This is what addiction could do, therefore it's important to avoid ourselves from getting addicted. If you are rich, you have a lot ot sell, and if you are poor, you have few to sell, so it doesn not have any difference at all because all these happened when a gambler risk more than he can afford to lose.

It's problem on controlling ourselves that make us do this stupid thing, when we are drowning in debt and we are oblige to pay because we are afraid we will go to jail, that's the real pressure will hunt us and we won't have a good night sleep. All these could happen and even worst, that's why I am happy for those gamblers who got addicted and able to figure out early how to get out of addiction.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 10, 2024, 02:09:15 PM
Yeah, George could be a tough boxer, but if he is against a technical boxer in Loma, who uses more foot work and then go with volume punching every round, it's hard to counter that one. Unless George become a counter puncher, but it's hard to be become a counter counter against one of the best tactician we have in boxing ring in Loma.

It might go to 12 rounds and that could be the best Kambosos and hope that some of the rounds is going to be close and maybe the judges awarding him the points. Loma has been in several controversial fights and it seems he has been receiving the short deal. Against Salido, Teo Lopez and then recently against Haney.

George is tough because he will fight until 12 rounds, he doesn't even looked gas because of his great conditioning, but it differs on the strategy of the fight, since he is not a technical fighter, most likely his strategy can easily be predicted. Since he does loss to Haney twice via unanimous decision, I don't expect him to give Lomachenko a problem.

Lomachenko gave Haney a problem in the ring although he loss, so George is like facing a fighter that are on the same level with Haney.
