301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: June 08, 2018, 11:58:49 AM
Oh, The project is original and interesting, strategy of distribution of the coins is brilliant, but in my opinion a bit too fast.

I agree it may have been a bit too fast, perhaps, but in the end I think this will make no difference at all for the success of the project, and in a way such a fast distribution has probably saved a lot of time and shrinked the post-airdrop dumps to a more limited period of time, so it may even be that it was the best choice after all. For sure, time will tell Smiley
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: June 03, 2018, 08:46:32 PM
I am not sure I fully get the idea TWIST is about. Can someone maybe provide an example or a typical use case?

Twist's goal is to basically make the blockchain more easy to use for casual users and programmers and companies.

Twist id makes payments easier for people because its a name instead of an address, twist data gives an easy way for storing data on blockchain, twist api for programmers and companies to use blockchain easier ...
The whitepaper has use cases https://twist.network/files/whitepaper.pdf

Ok but having names instead of addresses will also be possible with Ethereum in the future I think and EOS also implemented something like that. I guess that is what all blockchain projects will follow as it is the easiest to handle for users.

In "some" future I guess all the platforms will use names or they won't have enough adoption base. As usual, success will probably rewards firstmovers more than latecomers.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: June 03, 2018, 09:36:28 AM
When is expected that EOS platform will be 100% ready for real use, just like Ethereum is? Which means performing ICOs on EOS etc.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WEBD] WebDollar - Currency of the Internet | Mining directly in browser on: June 03, 2018, 12:22:43 AM

I'm not saying what I'm saying out of moralism. If you are happy in stealing electricity just do it without boasting how cool that is. There's nothing really bad in being a chickenthief, but to brag about that is pathetic. I doubt you can understand my point. And of course nothing against the creators of webdollar, who are brilliant and I don't think it was anyone of their team to recommend mining it with stolen electricity.

We just provided a protocol integrated in a platform for cryptocurrencyes which will allow mass adoption. It is not our fault if someone uses it in an abusive way.

I completely agree with you. This is why I'm getting disturbed by those who are using this thread to suggest to use your platform in an abusive way, without even realising it's abusive, BTW. I don't care if they do their little abuses, but to come here to recommend it as a standard behavior to follow is inappropriate. Their behavior is throwing a bad image to your excellent project.

I'm very happy about BTX ATMs being on the roadmap. However: which strategy will be used to distribute the ATMs once they will be ready? Who will be supposed to host a BTX ATM and how are you planning to convince them?
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: June 02, 2018, 02:15:38 PM
Is the mainnet live? On their page I saw the Beta Mainnet is live, and you don't have to pay anything for storage in this phase. But of course the system is still not reliable.
Hi, yes mainnet is live:
Website: https://oysterprotocol.com/
MainNet: http://oysterstorage.com/
i hope it can help you Wink

Maybe this guy is not aware of this or he didn't read the latest update about the successful launch of this mainnet. I personally upload some files and than send the handle to my friend to check how it works and this process gone smoothly.

I didn't read the latest update because it's not on the OP of this thread, nor I could find it on the oyster protocol homepage. So where is that latest update readable?
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: June 02, 2018, 01:52:52 PM

We are happy to announce that the gaming site https://luckygames.io/ is now accepting Bitcore (BTX) as a payment and plaing option.

Stay tuned for more BTX implementations on various services and online merchants.

Frankly speaking I'd prefer no news at all than the "triumphal" news that BTX is accepted in a gaming site. That's the lowest that a coin can go - to be accepted only in a gaming site and to be proud of that. Just a gambling token - that's below the dignity of any form of real money. In my view that's going exactly the opposite direction of mainstream adoption.
Please focus on real things instead. And I'm saying that as a fan and a holder of BTX.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: June 02, 2018, 12:55:40 PM
Who has tried Oyster storage already? How is your experience?  Cheesy
I am happy, 1PRL per 64GB storage. Very cheap

Finally some positive movements again, EOS price went up 15% in the last few hours due to mainnet launch.

There are still 9 hours to the mainnet lauch, right? I see on their website the countdown says still 9 hours for ETH registration - I guess that will be the moment of the mainnet launch, right?
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WEBD] WebDollar - Currency of the Internet | Mining directly in browser on: June 02, 2018, 06:56:20 AM

Wow, are you suggesting public employees should all become thieves and start stealing electricity in their offices to privately mine cryptocurrencies for their own pockets? As you know a higher CPU activity is sucking much more electricity than an idle CPU, and electricity bills have to be paid by someone. So I see you are excited to envision a future of hordes of employees turned into thieves while the rest of the population has to pay their electricity bills with their taxes. You are not giving to the world a good image of Romania like that.

Are you a monkey from the jungle ?
Technical progress give us electricity and we paid enough for it.
If I work in Excel, why I can't open browser for mining at my workplace?
You are an inadequate person. Or are you a vegetarian from Greenpeace? Although this is the same thing.

The presence of a person of such a peculiar IQ is in fact the proof that webdollar can be mined also by idiots. Good. This means a larger adoption base.

It wasn't my intention to do so in the first place, anyway this has all been discussed before.

Well, if you feel the need to specify ," imagine your mom working in a -let's say- public/government institution" I guess there must be a reason which makes it more attractive than mining from home.
Especially as this has been already mentioned before in the thread as the best thing to do, I'm asking myself if everybody here is thinking like that. And since I actually like Romania, to see it portrayed like that is frankly sad.

Person with such a peculiar IQ will mine everywhere and will get much more webdollars than those who care about electricity bills.

And why are you talking about Romania ?
Bitcoin, Litecoin, ETH, ETC, Monero and other 100's coins are mined everywhere. Hackers use 1000&1000 botnet.
And it doesn't made that country where coin was created a bad country.

I'm not saying what I'm saying out of moralism. If you are happy in stealing electricity just do it without boasting how cool that is. There's nothing really bad in being a chickenthief, but to brag about that is pathetic. I doubt you can understand my point. In other words, imagine your mom working in a -let's say- public/government institution opening up a browser tab right next to the solitaire one just to earn some money. Granted there might be some backlash from this in the far future but  it's a good start for learning about crypto.

Community is expecting pools going live any moment, as they have been announced. With over 9 Mh/s network hashing power it is not an option anymore for people with a normal computer to mine solo any more.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: June 01, 2018, 09:06:08 AM
Anyone know if any exchanges are going to support the genesis airdrops for pedia, horus, etc..?  Or are we going to be forced to use a wallet and register to get the airdrops?

I haven't heard any solid word from exchanges about airdrops. Best to register your eos public/private keys to your eth public address. I followed crypt0 YouTube video and it was farily easy.

I encourage others to register. You'll learn more about eth smart contracts and get more familiar with keys, and it's a good quick learning experience plus all the added bonus airdrops happening on the Genesis block.

Do this soon like today if you got a lot of eos on exchange. Binance only allows 2 btc worth of withdrawals per day and coinbase allows you to send out only 10k worth per day if you want to buy more eos.

These airdrops can be worth a lot in 3 years if the project is good. For example decred. You can buy a sports car with those free airdrops.

Which and what are these genesis airdrops exactly? Where can I find more information about all of them? This sounds as a quite interesting opportunity.

URGENT for all the Holders that have their #MTC on HitBTC: The Air Drop won’t work if you have the MTC on the main account, here are the 2 options to make sure you receive the Air Drop:

cdn.docademic.com/documents/mtc/HitBTCAirdrop.pdf

In consideration of the high fees of withdrawing MTC from HitBTC if you are having just a few thousands MTC it is not worth moving them to MEW since the withdrawal fees would be more than the coins you'd get with the airdrop. The other options remains the only one.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: May 31, 2018, 09:57:53 AM
The TWIST Toolbox has been updated to version 0.9.2. On startup the Toolbox will now quicksync to block 295525. Some minor fixes and improvements.
https://twist.network/releases/TWIST-Toolbox-Windows-Setup-0.9.2.zip

That cool. Which are the improvements exactly? BTW I've just noticed the network weight has surged to a new high of 53 Milion, that's more good news.

EDIT: One hour later or so the network weight appears to be down to 15 Million... how is such a difference even possible in such a short time? Which appears the network weight to be in your wallets?
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: May 29, 2018, 08:12:29 AM
Oh - Oh, it looks like the "gem" has some quite serious  bugs:

https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/05/29/security-researchers-discover-multiple-epic-vulnerabilities-in-eos-blockchain/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Serious vulnerabilities found in EOS, just days ahead of mainnet. Price isn't happy about that.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: May 29, 2018, 12:40:25 AM
Wow! Looks like EOS is trending on Twitter right now Smiley All the best for the mainnet launch!
eos is a big hidden gem and eos is a big challenger for ethereum... eos will be on top after the launch mainnet of eos.
people are trying to dumb eos because they want to buy at cheap price then after mainnet price will be sky rocket.
now eos trending on twitter after mainnet we will see eos on breaking news.  Smiley

EOS hidden gem? Well, we agree about the gem, but to call it "hidden" is a bit unappropriate, discussions about EOS are all over the place Smiley
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 27, 2018, 08:17:14 PM
and there has to be found new ways to distribute the remaining coins.
are there new ideas that hasn't be talked about yet?
or why not just burn them?
perhaps because the goal from the very beginning was to distribute coins to as many different people as possible. And burning contradict this goal? Wink
I'm serious now, the goal was not to make bitcoin holders richer

One of the problems in reaching a wide distribution probably is that there is fare less people who are actively researching new emerging cryptocurrencies than we'd like to think. Most of Bitcoin adopters probably have just bought some Bitcoins on Coinbase as an investment and never thought at the issue again after. To reach people who are not deep into cryptos with a new coin take time and time and time - and ideas and efforts.
319  Local / Annunci / Re: POW token on: May 27, 2018, 08:12:08 PM

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: May 27, 2018, 08:07:11 PM
Is there a precise schedule on when the Bancor platform will be available for EOS? And when the EOS based Bancor platform will be interfaced with the Ethereum-based Bancor platform?
