Now the previous problem which occur to other players came to me. I can't access both sites, casino and forum. It seems they still struggle with dns issue.

Just now I checked and it is working fine to me. I visited forum also. Both are working fine at my end.

May be they might have already fixed the issue or you can clear your browsing history and try once again. These kind of attacks on popular sites are common and admin needs to spend more money on these security issues.

nope, i just checked and it doesn't work for me either. used 2 different browsers and it has the same issue with the DNS.
even changed my DNS servers to different servers such as Google DNS servers but it still doesn't work. i think it only affects certain IP ranges. bitcointalk recently had a similar problem too, that theymos asked for tracerouts. this maybe the same issue.
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: why is ripple mostly traded with korean exchanges? on: August 08, 2017, 06:30:43 AM
it is not just ripple, there are more altcoins there with highest volume. and when the volume is ridiculously high that means they possibly have 0 fees and also are reporting fake volumes.

something similar to all the Chinese bitcoin exchanges last year before PBoC started putting them under observation. now you can see their volumes are back to normal levels.

the same will be true about Korean exchanges someday too. they will either scam and run away or become regulated and they put a stop to their fake volumes.
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to CATASTROPHICALLY EXPLOIT ETHEREUM MINING on: August 08, 2017, 06:16:34 AM
i wish you didn't speak about price in your comments, you just devalued all the things you said because of mixing the price in the discussions about "an exploit in the code".

i am no expert and didn't understand how this is supposed to work but what i am wondering is why nobody (or you-the self claimed security expert) has already exploited this?
3044  Economy / Speculation / Re: About BCC (Bitcoin's Cancer Cell) on: August 08, 2017, 06:03:53 AM
if hashrate leaves difficulty will adjust and show will keep going .. what's the issue here?

in a normal world there are 1 block every 10 minutes on average which makes 144 block each day. 144 * 12.5BTC = 1,800BTC
imagine you have 10% of the hashrate and lets say each day you get 10% of 1800BTC = 180BTC = $486,000

(assuming BCH reached equilibrium and is mining 1 block every 10 min on average) now in our fucked up world you can one day decide to switch your 10% hashrate on bitcoin to bitcoin cash. with it you can mine a lot more because first of all 10% on BCH is a lot more (nearly 80% of total there maybe more but lets take 80%) and also because of this big hashrate rise more blocks will be generate in 1 day. lets say 200 blocks
200 * 12.5 BCH * 80% * $500 = $1,000,000

right now ViaBTC that has 5% of bitcoin hashrate has mined 25% of bitcoin cash's blocks.

of course things aren't as simple as this and i am making big assumptions about numbers. for example a miner can not just sell the coins as he gets them. coinbase transaction (that 12.5) need to stay about 100 blocks IIRC or so before becomes spendable.

https://cash.coin.dance/blocks states "It is currently 108% more profitable to mine on the original chain" this has been 160% recent days. Difficulty stated as beein 17% of the main network.
There should be some equilibrium reached where miners get equal revenue from running their asics on any chain.
Because price adapts as in 10% of the hashrate resulting in 10% of the Bitcoin notation. Difficulty adjusts, too.

read the assumption that i've made bold. right now BCC blocks are still being found every hour or half hour. there were 23 BCC blocks in the past 10 hours and that is about 60 BTC blocks, that is obvious that mining bitcoin is still more profitable specially with the rising price which is probably going to break $3500 too.

with that said my previous comment was a theory, i am very interested to see what happens in reality in the near future.
3045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Bitcoin ? Segwit , Segwit with 2MB , 8MB Bitcoin Cash on: August 08, 2017, 05:56:41 AM
Bullshit. Just because you slap the name Bitcoin in front of some word and premine existing balances, that doesn't mean that it is Bitcoin.

Bitcoin cash regards themselves as the real bitcoin.
And I also believe if they did not use the word "bitcoin", used "bcash" for example, they would fail on the first day.   [ no offence just personal opinion ]

What do you think?

in my opinion it is not just the bitcoin name it is also building on top of bitcoin chain!
and it will fail or at the very least have a very tough time in the world of cryptocurrencies because of that. there were 16.4+ million coins available (some call it premine even) and people are dumping that and dumping leads to panic sell and leads to lower and lower prices.
low prices lead to low profit for miners and them leaving and their leaving leaves the network vulnerable. of course there is bitmain with all their hashrate which are backing it up, i am sure.

if they built something from the ground up it would have been a lot more successful than this. it may have even be worth at least 0.5BTC right now. for you see mining from block 0 could have meant no premine, no dump, and even regular users mining it. that is how all the rest of the altcoins work so far.
3046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan has the highest bitcoin trade volume passing usd and yuan on: August 08, 2017, 05:48:45 AM
I'd love to hear thoughts from someone living in Japan. Is it just trading, or people are using it in groceries, subways etc.

The truth is always further than what it seems.

maybe not for groceries but there are a lot of shops around Japan that have started accepting bitcoin as soon as it became a legal method of payment and then a lot more started accepting bitcoin when the taxes on bitcoin payment was removed.
it is a slow process until people start using bitcoin on a wide scale, you can not expect that overnight people suddenly start spending their bitcoin all over the country.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has cypto always been this stressful? on: August 07, 2017, 06:23:02 AM
well, you are dealing with money and it is a risky investment, nobody can doubt that. and because of this risk it becomes stressful. but how much stress you endure depends on many different things.
for example if you have invested a large amount of money, obviously you will endure a lot more stress than someone who has invested $50. and it is not just about the absolute number it is how much that number mean to you. $50 can be a lot for someone and a million can be nothing for a rich person. as they say, invest what you can afford to lose.

the other factor is how much experience you have. investing in bitcoin is easy. you always know bitcoin price will go up no matter what. in the long term bitcoin is the winner.
but when you invest in altcoins it is not true anymore. if an altcoin goes down it may never come back up. so you have to act accordingly. sell at a loss if you have to and prevent bigger losses and then invest at the bottom. never hold alts. this way you reduce the stress, consequently you can think better and make better decisions.

and don't worry you are still new (3 months is nothing). with time things will get easier for you.
3048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bump this thread when Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic are #1 and #2 on: August 07, 2017, 06:11:11 AM
how about bumping this topic on fixed intervals (lets say once a month) and then apologize to the community because they have not only not moved up but also either stayed the same rotting place or dropped lower.

or maybe someone else who has a better memory than me can bump it in a month and remind you how wrong you were each month Smiley
3049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question for Bitcoin holders about BitcoinCash on: August 07, 2017, 06:04:36 AM
the problem that i have faced with bitcoin cash is that it is not easy to dump it otherwise i would have dumped it so fast and probably price would have dropped so much harder.
because of it, i could only sell a portion of my total bitcoin balance that was mostly held on exchanges for trading during the fork. and i have already dumped what i have received.

but now that price has dropped hard and is falling more, i think i won't bother with the dumping of the rest. i am trying to find a safe way to at least access it and maybe send it all to one address then have it ready for dumping if i saw a good price worthy of dumping.
3050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to $10,000 How Bitcoin Price Broke $3,000 and What’s Ahead on: August 07, 2017, 05:57:27 AM
bitcoin is on the rise and it will continue rising but it has a lot of obstacles on its way up.
the good news is these obstacles so far could only slow down the rise and could never prevent it. i don't see any reason for this to change in the future. bitcoin is still strong and it actually becomes stronger as time passes.
the thing is, when you create a decentralized peer to peer digital cash, a lot of people (such as banks) don't like it. so they prevent it as best as they can by things like throwing hard forks (bitcoin cash) at it, trying to centralize it,... hopefully the community stays aware and cuts their hands before they can do any damage.
3051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be THE Bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 05:43:26 AM
bitcoin is what the majority of users accept as bitcoin. it doesn't matter what a random throwaway desperate account calls it. these pathetic attempts change nothing. bitcoin is still bitcoin and it is still pretty strong because it has the majority support.

what you desperate people did with your BCC is an altcoin which again the majority of users came to a consensus to call it as an altcoin hence treat it as one.

and as for its price, again the majority decided that it is not worth anything so they are dumping it and price is headed to $100 for now and possibly much lower in the future.
3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex exchange question on: August 06, 2017, 07:25:29 AM
in fact you can!
there is a market for ethereum as its base on bittrex (which was added recently). if you visit this page you can see all the markets: https://bittrex.com/Home/Markets there are 4: BTC, ETH, USDT, BITCNY

and here is the direct link to ETH_LTC market which you can trade these two coins directly against each other: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=ETH-LTC

know that these markets are usually having lower volume making it harder to trade successfully specially if there is a big spread too.
3053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8th August on: August 06, 2017, 06:46:11 AM
this rise is mostly about 8th of August and the activation of SegWit. and it will continue to be like that. price will stay up above $3000 unless another FUD camp starts up and tries hard to break the $3000 resistance and push it down for more cheap coins before the next rise but i think it is too soon for something like that though.

for now the charts look pretty solid, we are back on track as before all this drama about "split" and BIP###
the $3200 is also showing a powerful support.

i dare say we can expect near $4000 by the end of this year too.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs BTC on: August 06, 2017, 06:40:08 AM
bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that people around the world know.
they may have heard about eth since they spam the news but they never know it or care to look at it because they have no use for it whereas bitcoin is a currency which they can actually use!

bitcoin is the most secure coin that has never had any serious issues and no hacks or bugs in the code that leads to any losses (don't confuse an exchange getting hacked or you losing your wallet with bitcoin getting hacked).
ethereum has had at least 1 huge exploit called DAO which is never fixed and can happen again if someone intelligent enough comes and uses the smart contract exploit again. there has also been smaller ones. and on top of it all their official wallet was easily hacked and people lost millions of dollars held in multisig wallets.

bitcoin has a good and logical supply and a logical distribution with a set cap from the start.
ethereum is limitless. the supply knows no end. it will continue to be generated and make the market cap number become a big bubble. the rate at which it is being created is ridiculous. and as i said it has no cap.

the blockchain size of bitcoin may be big but ethereum's is huge it soon will be twice bitcoin and that means less nodes, and only centralized master nodes finally fully centralizing ethereum.
3055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Cash will kill alt coins..... BTC is king!!! on: August 06, 2017, 06:33:06 AM
Bitcoin cash will become the dominant altcoin and BTC will be reserved for huge transactions in the future. The price of a new Corvette will be 1.3BTC. Homes will be priced at 7.2BTC etc.

i don't think so. nothing can kill altcoins. you can see altcoins as two things: either projects with good value and features which are here to stay and shitcoins that have good pumping groups behind them which will pump and never let them die like ethereum and ripple.
and bitcoin cash is nothing compared to these big altcoins. they have a lot of money to throw at them and keep them alive. and meanwhile BCC doesn't really offer anything interesting.
3056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting correlation on: August 06, 2017, 06:12:56 AM
That is pretty interesting, where is a good place to monitor BCH's current hashrate? Anyone know?

https://pool.viabtc.com/

Its currently stands at 24 for BTC and 277 for BTC which is similar figure as the OP stated.

those numbers seem to be only the hashrate that the viabtc mining pool can manage not the total hashrate of the total network.
you should look at the other column saying "Network HashRate" which seems to be total, but i am not sure how accurate those numbers are. 3208 P and 6718 P
3057  Economy / Speculation / ahem... bitcoin is now $3000+ on: August 05, 2017, 03:19:38 AM
.... and the waiting is over, bitcoin just broke the $3000 and we finally have in the rear mirror. and it was well expected too. despite all the drama and the FUD, we know that as soon as the scaling war is over price will start its rallying. and here we are now.

now the questions is how high will it go this time?
there has been speculation about $3600 as ATH of this rally like the one by goldman sachs
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody with $10,000 worth of BTC+Alts today should be a Millionnaire in 2025 on: August 05, 2017, 03:10:53 AM
90% of the altcoins that you see today won't exist in 2020 let alone until 2025 and if you plan on investing in any of them to become a "millionaire" then maybe you should think again!
and the rest won't give you that much profit to begin with. they are mostly staying on low prices then during a couple of months tops, they get pumped heavily and then go back to their normal low prices which again means in long term you lose more money than you can make.

bitcoin is different because it is the only coin with real world application. and its adoption is growing. the rest of the altcoins are just tokens that are being speculatively traded and will cease to be profitable at some point.
3059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase will now supports bitcoin cash on: August 05, 2017, 03:01:19 AM
coinbase guys are too good. they are protecting themselves by not adding bitcoin cash for now and preventing all the headache and possible losses because of its small thing which can easily be attacked.
i believe it is because of the pressure of certain people that they have released a new statement. and in that they are still too good! they've said they may add it in 2018! by that time this BCC is either dead or stable with less to worry about.
3060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anything I can do to speed up my BCC confirmations? on: August 05, 2017, 02:54:19 AM
Start a BCC node so you become one of the entities confirming the transactions. You may not be able to direct your own transaction to your node for confirmation but you'd be adding to the system and speed up confirmations for the entire blockchain.

Here's the link to download and run a Bitcoin Cash node: Bitcoin ABC

How long have you been waiting?

this is way too wrong Smiley
a node is not changing anything about confirmation time, the confirmation time is based on how long it takes to mine a block. and since the difficulty is still high and the hashrate is still low (even though difficulty was reduced) finding blocks takes a long time.
running a node helps decentralize the network, helps you have access to full verification, and some more benefits.
