3061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We failed altcoin!! Altcoin then did the same on: May 11, 2020, 12:42:33 AM

+ We cheered fake, scam altcoins for Greek gift: yes some of us support the terrible altcoins purposely blinding them self to the intention of the altcoin, and the results stained altcoin image.

Can we retrace our steps and do the correct thing

Nobody wants to support a scam altcoins, in fact, there ongoing campaign to report find and destroy these projects that scam investors with money, it's just that some got away doing their deeds because it's hard to caught these developers, and there are projects that look legit but end up scamming people.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal activities is giving cryptocurrencies a bad image on: May 11, 2020, 12:23:04 AM
It is no coincidence that a technology that facilitates a lot of illegal practices is the technology that is have troubles gaining approval from world governments.

I read a recent publication that says, According to CipherTrace: Thefts, scams and other misappropriation of funds from  crypto holders and exchanges have resulted in a $4.3 billion in losses in the year 2019 so far, and this will likely go on until there is sufficient oversight for cryptocurrencies and blockchain related activities because the world givernments cannot relinquish control to the masses in the way that the blockchain wants.

Regulations is needed to attain mass adoption

Blockchain is decentralized and opensource, it's a multi-billion dollar industry, where the money is the hackers will follow and try to manipulate and besides it exists in any industry, not only Cryptocurrency, this is the only industry where anyone can participate and cannot be regulated but still profitable even though the number of losses is very high.
3063  Economy / Economics / Re: Foreigners being airlifted by countries but government is just ying to get money on: May 10, 2020, 04:38:53 PM
Hey

So apparently I had the chance to travel and study and due to Quarantine students cannot go home .
Government is broke and they are trying their best to get money from somewhere.
Economic situation is very bad in every country and every single person is suffering.
Government have agreed to send special planes to lift students off from where they were studying for the time being, but unfortunately they are asking them to pay 750$ for one side , when the normal fare is approximately 350$ .
Is this right ? Government is actually accumulating money from students and other people stranded abroad , charging them 2 X , when they should understand this is a time of need and they have to be helping their citizens.
Is it right to try and improve your economic situation by forcing some half of the society?

See people would have to certainly go ofcourse , their families are there , but government instead of understanding is actually making it worse for them .

I think government should focus for a while more on its citizens rather than look for forced financial help from them , this is not how you go about taking care of the economic health of your country.

There is risk in travelling right now and since all the business is close right now even those businesses being run by the government, you mentioned that these are special planes, this could be the reason why they are charging more because they are making an exception because of the situation, an exception has added values, although on first glance it seems the government is trying to make a profit.
3064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: May 10, 2020, 03:56:44 PM
I'm glad that selling invite is not existing here anymore it keeps the community clean, with so many people getting validated there are more invites to give for beginners, I still believe that IDENA has a good potential in the industry a year from now it will cover a lot, many developers will come in to contribute to this project.

Looking back, I think only one community member (bitcointalk user) was selling invites, railai if my memory serves.
Regarding the Idena potential, well it feels like XRB back in 2017, not many people were involved, and the ones who were got rich.

Selling invite code is actually not very good, considering that this project requires a large community to realize and make it successful. Of course most people will not want to reach into their wallet just to buy the invite code. There are still many ways to get the invite code including following the idena flip school (telegram group).

I seldom checked the telegram channel before the validation time, many people are sending invitation code in the channel, now this is good, in the past new members are having a hard time getting on and since they have a hard time getting one they leave the community, one of my friend have to wait for two weeks to get his invitation code.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities Will Have Seat in Poker Tournament for Covid-19 Charity on: May 10, 2020, 03:28:48 PM
They got the right event at the right time plus the right celebrities to endorse this event, so it's going to be a success and many similar events will follow, so many people needs help right because of the pandemic, this will be supported even those people who are not playing poker, it will generate interest.
3066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: May 09, 2020, 05:37:20 PM
A lot of cryptocurrencies have been created throughout time.

I personally have not held onto any old or even dead blockchains.

But I am working on a new project focused on old blockchains and with the attempt of reviving them.

I wanna ask what everyone here is holding onto.

I am mainly interested in coins from 2014 and older, but anything you deem "old" is welcome! Smiley

I might hit you up if I find your coin interesting Cheesy

One of my new picks is Leacoin because of its age and simple configuration.

Some of the coins back then were created  using Bitcoin source, because, at that time 2013, 2014 Ethereum is not yet existing, so every coin that comes along are very interesting because it involves a lot of work and it's quite costly when I was just starting out it was old coins that I've become interested in and how they become obsolete

I hope Lightlord is ok and safe and I wish he will continue the campaign, not the best time to end the campaign, we all need bread and butter at this point in time, Bitvest and 777 campaign are on top of the competition.
3068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: May 08, 2020, 05:53:54 PM
as a project investor you must be wiser before investing in a project and will never open your wallet for any project without thinking about it 10 times or even 20 times. At that time or precisely in 2017, almost all ICOs were seen as potentially profitable companies and people assumed that there would never be an end to the boom that occurred in the entire cryptocurrency market. And then reality struck.

Today, the landscape has changed a lot and those who are burning leave the market completely or they continue but with a different mindset emerging from an unforgettable and sometimes regrettable experience. Investors demand more information and they want to be given real facts only because of the inclusion of the IEO project in a leading exchange. In 2019, it might be rather difficult to distinguish trends in knowing which types of projects might be a big success because there are many factors that need to be considered, but we hope that above all investors are more mature, more demanding and more discriminatory. Once again consider before investing in a project and don't give bait to the scamers out there!

I guess it's all about having the benefit of a doubt on every project that you want to invest, read a lot of what people are saying about the project especially those with good rank and unbias analysis, there are a lot of projects that buy service to hype their projects usually these are newbies and low-rank members so be aware of that and check if the project is using this kind of service.
3069  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: May 08, 2020, 03:53:38 PM
The positive impacts are, we are going to do what we need to do after this pandemic, countries are now going to develop their health program they will support their health and medical workers and there will be a lot of laws about a pandemic that countries will implement in case another pandemic comes out, a lot of new normals are going to come out after this pandemic.
3070  Economy / Gambling / Re: My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. on: May 08, 2020, 03:38:02 PM
There are a lot of ways to do inside your house, but the most important thing to do is to develop your relationship with your love ones at this time of uncertainty, doing things and playing together to build a relationship, if you are doing things with your family you can overcome the urge to gamble.
3071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prices may touch $250 soon so hodl on to them on: May 08, 2020, 02:53:34 PM
I placed a sell order for $ 247. I think that in the next week we will touch this level, but then I do not expect further growth. most likely after a halving, we will again see a downtrend

This is a different halving that we are seeing because the supply is very small now and adoption is very much progressing, I don't see it in the downtrend after the halving but the movement of the market will still slow until the economy of the world gets better.
3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 08, 2020, 02:19:32 PM
I don't know if there are already some casinos existing with the folowing features:

-In every losing bet, 1% of it will be donated to their handpicked charity
-For every win, only 95% of the pot will be transfered to your wallet and the remaining 5% will go to your handpicked charity that is also available on the platform.

If something like this exist, will you still play? Do you think it is a bad idea to make the users make a donation in this way?

The gambler will be motivated to play more knowing that it will be donated to charities, it's a big attraction or motivation for gamblers to continue gambling, they know have good reason to add more money knowing that they are doing good for every win or loss but in the end, they will be the one going to lose if they do not have control.
3073  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: May 07, 2020, 10:46:47 AM
I do not know exactly what they (China) planned from the start, but seeing from the quick handling they have done on Covid-19 patients has proven that they are the country that is most ready to deal with the Covid-19 virus.  it's likely they had predicted this outbreak first..

I'm actually starting to believe this conspiracy theory and it seems like they have a cure for this virus already. Lots of countries have been battling against the virus but China has surpassed it in just a short period of time which is really questionable unless they're just hiding the truth from us. The best thing that we can do for now is to stay home so we'll never get infected and through that, we could contribute something so we could all go back to our normal lives.
Some results are questionable, but I'm still waiting for the part where they will announce that they have the vaccine already, but until now they are also looking for the cure and they only recommend some ingredients, we will soon find out if they have the cure there will be some people who will spread the news if they have the ready vaccine before the start of the pandemic.
3074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a beginner look up more boards as much as you can on: May 07, 2020, 09:22:59 AM
There are many board and an child board. You can't possibly be active on every board especially a local board where you don't understand the local language
But as a newbie or any rank. One need to look up other board, some forum users are only on few boards and boards signature campaigns makes it compulsory to be.
I am guilty of not going to look up other boards, so I not too long ago advertised for a signature campaign and they picked me. I had gone few day into the signature campaign first week then I came up on a post on reputation which was about the owners of the signature campaign I was on, I removed my signature and drop my involvement with them till they can settle the issue.

Its possible if we do not go to see other boards we can be ignorantly doing evil because we don't know about it.
Even if we don't like some board or don't know what to add to thread or post you can just look it up.
+ it can help stop you from joining signature campaign with questionable character.
+ bring you to understand things you did not before.
+ can develop or rise ones popularity

But when looking up other boards try hard not to spam if you don't have anything to add and ignore spam post, start always with reading
As a newbie, it's important that you go to as many sections as possible not only on your local boards but more that you think that can help you to advance on this technology, but if you joined the bounty campaign there are sections that the manager will ask you to post to get your stakes counted.
3075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) Coin Future Price ? on: May 07, 2020, 07:55:23 AM
Majority of investors will vote for Tron as a coin worth investing it has all the elements and factors to make the price triple, there is a lot of Dapps, huge community, and a very active developer who utilize the social media to promote his coins, just recently Justin Sun was on headlines and this creates awareness for the project.
3076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 07, 2020, 05:54:54 AM
If you cannot stop the urge to gambling then do it in a fun way with no money involved with only your family or close friends who you are 100% sure is not infected of COVID, we still have a long way for casinos to reopen and if you really missed it just do it to people who are safe and in a place that you are all safe.
3077  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why isn't anybody talking about hantavirus? on: May 07, 2020, 04:08:54 AM
This is the other virus that is spreading in Wuhan and China ( and it seems America). It is spread by rats, and the UK policy of closing refuse and rrecycling centres, and encouraging fly tipping will obviously help to spread the disease if it gets to the UK. We are entering a Grand Solar Minimum, and this is already leading to an increase in the fertility of vermin like rats and locusts.

Should we be planning for this to spread across the globe?

It's not really that alarming compared to what we are experiencing from COVID 19 which is now infected over 3 million of the population, but if there is finding that this can also infect people faster than COVID and people are going to die after they got infected then it will be investigated and who will study and announce it to the public.
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Michael Jordan’s gambling history revisited. on: May 07, 2020, 03:56:29 AM
I’m hoping everyone here knows who Michael Jordan is and in ESPN latest show his gambling history was revisited, and he admitted to gambling but with a twist something which I wasn’t expecting at all. According to the show Jordan indeed indulged in gambling but he only wagered on his own golf playing skills, and it’s pertinent to note that he ended up wagering big bets something you don’t usually bet according to the former NBA commissioner. Furthermore Jordan also admitted his love for blackjack, but it isn’t clear if he visited any online casinos to play blackjack or no, but what do you’ll think is there a possibility that he visits online crypto casinos to play blackjack as a hidden user?.

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/michael-jordan-defends-gambling-during-nba-career

He is very honest on his past gambling activities, but we have never heard that he lose his savings and his whole reputation from gambling if you have millions of dollars, the temptation is very high to gamble, he is not only great in basketball but he also has a great character I hope he can keep up with that and do not indulge in gambling that can ruin his reputation.

3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: May 07, 2020, 01:47:19 AM

It is all about having fun even if the game is hard or not.
Hard or not should depend on the gambler. But personally, when I have the intention to have entertainment, I prefer to choose easy or fun games. So, I can enjoy it more without thinking hard during play.

That should be the case, hard games or games with so much at stake and needs a lot of concentration is quite risky, I like minesweeper dice games, the martingale is so exciting if you just want to have some fun, it always makes you wonder if the next roll will win you everything, and you always find out you are one roll away and you have no roll left for martingale.
