3721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There’s a $10,000 reward for breaking Facebook’s cryptocurrency on: August 29, 2019, 11:17:18 AM
10 000 USD is a bug bounty program? They are kidding right? They are going to create the world biggest cryptocurrency and they allocate only 10 000USD?
Even the smallest altcoins in the marker offers more than 10 000USD in their bug bounty program. Cheesy

I don't see any problem with the amount if you convert that to our local currency that's enough to buy a house or a buy a second-hand car, legit projects do this and I think it will be one of the series of bug bounty that they are going to offer to coders as they move forward to launch their token.

3722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Satoshi Actually Lost His Private Keys on: August 29, 2019, 03:11:15 AM
I am not saying that I believe his story what so ever. Lets say Satoshi Nakamoto DID really lose his keys due to a freakish accident. Would there be any way he could actually prove himself.

If Satoshi was to log into the Satoshi Account on this forumn and say I lost all of my Bitcoin keys, would anyone believe him?

Would a post here be enough proof?

If THE Satoshi logged in after almost 10 years of being Non Active and said word for word what the Newest Satoshi Scammer is saying but said it on this forumn would the community believe him, or would everyone just think his founder account had been compromised? I am curiouse on everyones thoughts on the subject. If from a previouse satoshi acct he said the same thing. I feel I would kind of trust him...

The latest Satoshi that has come forth, uses this alibi to claim that he is Satoshi Nakamoto but many people will not believe this kind of alibi, this is quite unbelievable, for me it's unacceptable, he is the creator and a techie guy, he should know how to protect his private key what an irony.
3723  Other / Meta / Re: Continuously creating new bitcointalk account for shilling Walkex ANN thread. on: August 29, 2019, 02:38:41 AM
There's also aa possibility that they are employing a bumping service, which is very rampant nowadays, so many announcement threads are caught using such services if you analyze each account that bumps their thread you will  see a pattern that they are posting on the same threads over and over again
3724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 28, 2019, 11:00:00 PM
I'm sorry to hear that. Gambling addiction is a horrible thing to deal with, and takes a tremendous amount of will power to break free from. You've lost a lot of money, but you still have the most important and valuable thing.... Your life and health. Try to find something to replace gambling with. It could be a hobby or a Church group. Stay strong and keep moving forward in your life. Your past doesn't equal your future.

He really needs help from a professional,  if he has a weak motivation and heart he would have lost his mind just thinking all his lost, a professional help will allow him to set up activities and guidelines together with his family on how to overcome those losses it's actually
 a mindset.
3725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunting is past it's glory days on: August 28, 2019, 10:26:43 PM
My experience so far with bounty this year have been bad and it is not as profitable as it used to be. Mainly bounty hunters don't really get good projects that will pay and those that pay just pay a penny which is not worth the time and energy put into the work.
My question is, is it possible to still make a living from bounty or we should just move on from it?

It's not possible anymore if you left your job for bounty hunting you are in a very bad situation, bounty hunting now offer nothing in return or if there is a return you will have to wait for a half year and it's not a guaranty that it is what you are going to expect will cover your daily expenses for a month.
3726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: August 28, 2019, 01:44:31 PM
Hi, recently so many past-ICOs turned into a scam or a deadcoin.
Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

If you are still investing in ICO or thinking to invest, then it's time to change your mind and just concentrate on investing in the top coins in the market, Bitcoin dominance is very huge, some coins will die and it's likely that new coins coming from ICO are the one that will have a hard time to survive.
3727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Service on: August 28, 2019, 12:38:35 PM
There is no way some one has access to an account and he will not be able to withdraw money from the account.
he cant . if you only lend him the account and you managed to activate your 2fa's  . the account borower will still need the email confirmation and the/or the code from your phone before he/she can succesfuly withdrew the funds .  asking someones account is already shady at the first place and its not recomended for everyone to try it even if we say that we are 2fa activated  .  op shouldnt ask for accounts but he must only provide free tips first to test his legitness .

I agree I think there is no intention to scam anyone here if he agreed to do this, he answered some of the questions and defended his motive very well, maybe he has a good method at all, I'd like to see some takers here who will agree on his terms but the security features will be on the account owners initiatives.
3728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Was Created By Our Lord and Saviour Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 28, 2019, 06:45:12 AM
I think this is blasphemy you already crossed the border I don't know, how rich you are using Bitcoin, but you should not put Satoshi above to think that he is a God, when he is not, he is just a creator of Bitcoin, just all the inventor or technology creator before him, do you think we will have Bitcoin if there is no internet or a computer.
3729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: August 28, 2019, 04:37:30 AM
Yes, gambling can make man destitute at any time. Gambling is just for fun only. Gambling is not a way to make money. I know many people play gambling to earn money. But it should not be done at all. Gambling will have to play for fun. Humor pressure can never be taken if you lose in gambling. Remember gambling is just a simple game that is fun to play. Never invest more money in gambling. If you invest a lot more in gambling then you can be destitute.

Thank you

Gambling is so much like investing, you should only invest what you can afford to lose, in the case of gambling, you should only gamble with money that you can afford to lose and do not go after you lose, the temptation to go after your losses is very high, because the momentum will always be there, and this is something you should learn, do not go after your losses however tempting it might be.
3730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs 2019: A Year Of Success or Failure? on: August 28, 2019, 02:35:45 AM
Quote
How would you sum up ICOs in 2019 so far?

It was bad in 2018 and turn up worse this 2019, I would not even recommend to invest on ICO right now, unless you have done a lot of research and you have proven that the coin is really worth investing, millons of dollars are wasted from these failed and scam ICO's.

3731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting scam project? on: August 27, 2019, 12:58:39 PM
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

We all want to promote a legit project, nobody wants to get scam, but who will impose those escrow, when ICO is deregulated and so is bounty hunting, I thnk bounty managers should the one to unite and impose this to projects that they are going to manage.

The only bounty campaign where funds are escrowed are those coming from gambling campaign.
3732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 27, 2019, 12:13:50 PM

I also want to bet especially for presidential elections for every country (I don't know if a particular website will include all countries presidential elections)
Every country?! I don't know where you base but you do know that some countries presidential elections are very much manipulated? Right? if you want to really bet on politics, it's best you do it for the country that has high transparency during election.
And don't just conclude that betting in politics in less risky cause politics this days is messed up. Systems are been manipulated nowadays just for personal gain.

I personally won't even put my money on it.

I'm surprised that there are still countries that can manipulate presidential election results, we are in an age of technology, very few countries are doing manual recount because it will take months to finish the counting, each presidential elections spent millions in their campaign, I don't think they want the results manipulated, can you name those countries.
3733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bad developers have tarnished ICO! on: August 27, 2019, 09:19:07 AM
that in the past ICO projects performed very well if they used ERC20 tokens or projects built on established platforms. because it has the potential to grow well and reduce risk when compared to creating new technology. but now on the contrary I don't see ICO functioning properly even though it's built on an existing platform like ERC20.
I will not blame the platform because the platform has been built in such a way, but I will blame the developer, Why? because most developers have misused this for crypto schemes to get rich and most project failures are based on the background of developers who do not have extensive knowledge and deliberately tarnish the ICO project's bad image.

If after a year and you have been scammed you are still investing in ICO, you have yourself to blame, you are not learning how to distinguish the right project to a wrong one, if you cannot distinguish a good project from a true one, then it's better to not invest in ICO anymore and just concentrate in trading or investing in old coins.
3734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We need regulation pretty bad on: August 26, 2019, 11:17:27 PM
The big question is who will regulate, the platform? there are many open-source platforms, these scammers will just create their own and compete with the existing platform.

The government? that would be very bad for the industry chances are it will not become decentralized anymore, and they will have a say on how the project is going to run, they might even go after their investors.
3735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just A Well Thought Question on: August 26, 2019, 01:30:16 PM
Hi cryptopians i want to ask you a question and i need your genuine answers straight from your hearts.

What would have happened if all available crypto coins are been ranked on CoinMarketCap based on how good they are in terms of
1. Faster transaction speed
2. Better Security Platform
3. Privacy
4. Futuristically techy  etc

Will bitcoin have a chance at all? what rank number do you think bitcoin will be on CoinMarketCap?

There are a lot of coins that look better than Bitcoin and they are not even in the top 50, but we are not looking for a clone coin with a lot of modification that is being run or premine by greedy investors, we want a coin that is supported by the whole community, and coinmarketcap job is to show the market capitalization of each Cryptocurrency.
3736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 26, 2019, 12:32:51 PM
the start was with fiat many years ago when i was around 16 Tongue
But todays iam only paying with cryptos its my gambling money i dont really need my btc Tongue

regards

I'm surprised to see someone who does not need Bitcoin and only using it to gamble online, just when everybody here is treating Bitcoin as an internet gold and gambling to acquire Bitcoin because of it's potential in the future, more so now that we are in the bull run.
Anyway since you are comfortable at using Bitcoin to gamble best of luck to you.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: August 26, 2019, 12:07:08 PM
Have anyone profited out of dice in the short or long term. I have been trying the best and lost all, I can't leave it. Once after I loss I have gone beyond my ability. Finally as the wallet got emptied, I bought bitcoin particularly for betting and lost even the amount earned from my day job. I used to experience win, but at the end it is a loss. I miss the right time to stop and leave. Cry Cry Cry

You are approaching gambling with a wrong mindset, this is not the right way to gamble, you should not try to even regain your losses in a bad night, that's a bad decision, you should only allocate money to gamble where you are comfortable at losing it, trying to make money from gambling will end you up losing everything.
3738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 24, 2019, 03:46:30 AM
Why not although I'm not into it if the betting is an election coming from countries I'm not familiar with, here in our country people already know who will be the winner because surveys are feeding them before the actual election and surprisingly these survey companies always win, so it's not who will win in our election but who will lead in the surveys.
3739  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit Support Group Is Now On The Move! on: August 24, 2019, 03:41:57 AM
This is the third section where you posted this Yobit issue, I hate to say it but your reputation is at stake here, it's like a make a break for you, but like what I posted in one of your thread, acknowledgement is the first thing that should come, so people will know that they are dealing with the right person.
3740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 24, 2019, 03:24:25 AM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?

Because they try to replace Bitcoin using Bitcoin's own code or because the coin's motive is only to enrich its creator, traders and whales in the community are more on Bitcoin then these altcoins, for us to get adopted Bitcoin should go first, Bitcoin is not something that you should just use, but you also need to undestand how it works.
