Kako to funkcionira?

A i nemoras odmah ici razmijenjivati 5k eura, nego odradis prvo neki manji transfer.
3122  Economy / Reputation / Re: Mycelium Wallet Promoting Scam Bookies 1xbit.com on: July 26, 2022, 07:01:44 PM
That's true, everyone in the world looks for money. Someone could sell the soul for money and Someone earned it the legal way. Since it's their business then they won't stop it. Coinzila doesn't have business with the public, their business is with companies and websites. So they don't care about the public's money. But gamblers should check themselves before depositing there. Need a bit of research, not just jump after seeing the ads.
Problem is that outside of this forum 1xbit doesn't have a reputation of straight up scam so Coingecko and Mycelium probably don't think that they are doing anything wrong by allowing 1xbit to advertise there.

I didn't know this because I don't see any ads on Coingecko and most other websites with my uBlockOrigin, but it is disabled on bitcointalk forum.
Yeah I didn't know about it either up until recently when I got new PC and checked the website while forgetting to get adblocker on Mozilla. I thought that Coingecko is better than CMC in that regard but I guess they all like the money.

If that is the case it damages the credibility of trustpilot and websites such as those where people are expecting to read real/genuine unbiased published reviews.
I don't think that Trustpilot has any credibility so having bunch of fake 1xbit reviews won't damage them much.

But you guys definitely want to see this one.

....
Well that's another story, and looks like @Docnaster is at least guilty of ban evasion. I am surprised to see that he hasn't been banned already since lovesmayfamilies found that connection with banned account  year ago. Maybe the fact that he hasn't been active at that moment saved him for getting banned, but now that he is active once again I expect it to happen very soon.
3124  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Načini povlačenja, pretvaranja bitcoina u HRK on: July 25, 2022, 07:40:56 PM

3125  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Investigation] Fighting The Account Mafia on: July 25, 2022, 05:27:22 PM
Since you don't give any more details and also do not reply here or via PM there is no possibility to investigate this. I appreciate the input but with this low effort there is simply no use in it.
This user is known for baseless accusations so don't expect him providing any info why he thinks that account changed hands. For him its enough to someone change the email address (like in this case) to think that account has been sold, while people can do that for myriad of reasons.
3126  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Načini povlačenja, pretvaranja bitcoina u HRK on: July 25, 2022, 05:18:32 PM
Planiram uložiti taj iznos ali me ujedno zanima kako funkcioniraju stvari ako želim isplatiti sav novac u jednom danu?

dnevni maksimum.

Hoće li me teretiti porezom ako će biti neka zarada na uloženo?
Hoce ako prijavis poreznoj. Grin

3127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 25, 2022, 02:35:19 PM
You probably mean all that money that was stolen from our emigrants and ended up in the private accounts of the same party that is still in power today and steals from its people to the same extent as before. But it is not only the thieves who are to blame, but also those who support them all the time.
Not just them, but almost everyone who has a chance to take something for themselves did that, from top to bottom.

There is no doubt that some of the aid will not be used as it should be, but I think that most of it will end up in the right hands. The proof is that Ukraine still manages to defend itself, even though on the other side stands the second strongest military power in the world (which I strongly doubt) after everything seen.
I wish I share your optimism but unfortunately I don't, and the fact that they are doing a much better job than anyone expected is not any proof of that. We did an excellent job too during our war (and all that without help outside, at least not at the beginning) and that didn't prevent thievery on mass scale, from our generals (who were selling gas to enemies) to politicians and since Ukrainians are probably similar to us when it comes to corruption, I don't think that its better situation there.

All this of course doesn't mean that people (and countries) shouldn't send help to Ukraine, but I am just being realistic as I've been old enough to see how it went in our country that was in a very similar situation.
3128  Other / Archival / Re: Backed Finance does not care for security even if the investors lose their funds on: July 25, 2022, 06:13:32 AM
More about the bug will be disclosed if the Backed.finance team does not reply to bitcointalk community.
If you really care about Backed Finance investors and want to prevent them from losing the money, why don't you provide the negligence evidence right now, instead of waiting for them to reply?

Or are you maybe one of those bug hunters that are spamming projects with vulnerability reports and then asking for payment?

edit: now I see that 5 days ago you threatened them to expose their vulnerability. They ignored your demand, 4 days passed since the deadline and vulnerability not disclosed yet. I might be wrong but to me this looks like a feeble attempt to get paid for that report.

We are waiting for one more day and we will disclosure the vulnerability in public as backed.finance remain to be silent on the vulnerability issue.
3129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 09:37:23 PM
Because i have the feeling that they will be used more weapons and not for help the people affected by the war.
Because using money for weapons while your country is invaded is somehow a bad thing? You know the saying, "those who are reluctant to feed their own army will feed a foreign army".

I don't think that Finland would have any problems if all money is used for weapons since they already sent military equipment to Ukraine. After all, Finns experienced what Ukraine is going through now back in 1939 when USSR invaded their country and trust me, they didn't forget that.

3130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 04:17:59 PM
I am curious why instead of selling Bitcoin to fiat or converting it to fiat currency like USD and donating, they directly use Bitcoin to donate?
Maybe because those bitcoins were seized and they had to be sold, like anything else that governments seizes so I doubt that they can just send the bitcoin even if they wanted to.

But it might have an impact on the Bitcoin price and might be the reason why Bitcoin still struggling with its price to rise.
I really doubt that 1900 BTC can impact the bitcoin price that much when bitcoin daily volume is ~40 billion dollars.

My country was in a similar situation 30 years ago, but instead of any military aid, the world imposed sanctions on the import of weapons and much worse things happened than what we can see in Ukraine today.
Regarding the aid that we received during the war, majority of it didn't reach those that actually needed help and while those who were assigned to distribute it got rich instead. My guess is that similar thing is happening in Ukraine with donated money and goods.
3131  Economy / Reputation / Re: Mycelium Wallet Promoting Scam Bookies 1xbit.com on: July 24, 2022, 03:51:41 PM
I am not sure if reporting 1xbit to Coinzila or Mycelium would help.
Even if you report it, I don't think that Coinzila will share our view when it comes to 1xbit as they are advertising literally everywhere. You can find their banners on Coingecko as well, which is usually considered more reliable than Coinmarketcap. They are simply buying everyone they could and I am sure that many here would carry their signature if they weren't afraid of getting tagged.
3132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you safely keep your recovery phrase written on paper? on: July 24, 2022, 09:01:38 AM
I didn't told her about it to avoid more argument because she wouldn't still understand what it is.
You don't have to explain her how Bitcoin works, just that piece of paper contains the sort of password that you need to access your bitcoin.

I would like to know how others keep these secret phrases if the people in your house are not really knowledgeable in crypto.

My parents know that I am into crypto but they don't have any knowledge about it and they never created wallet/sent bitcoin or anything similar. That didn't stop me though from storing a copy of my cold storage seed phrase in their house as I explained them its a fail-safe in case something happens to me, my wallet and/or other seed phrase copies.

3133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 24, 2022, 08:44:03 AM
Those people who invest in bitcoin for profit aren't lying about it, in fact they call bitcoin an asset not a currency.
Yeah, the thing is that people rarely say that, and instead keep going on that they are into bitcoin for the technology and same thing can be seen here. In reality, majority of Elon haters wouldn't mind if he started shilling bitcoin all over again if it means bitcoin price going up.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Musk but I don't hate him either because I never fooled myself that he is in bitcoin for anything else other than making more fiat, same as majority of others. And they would probably do the same thing if they have that kind of influence. This is just the beginning though as in the next bull run I expect more big names doing the similar thing. Its inevitable.
3134  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For naim027. on: July 24, 2022, 07:21:37 AM
It should be two cases but I am keen on the first case.
Ah yes thank you, that 2nd case I heard about was @hacker1001101001, just couldn't remember his name as I don't see him around anymore.

There was a history of being unbanned after two years.
Its true that RegulusHr got unbanned after 2 years, but in that period he wrote only 6 posts and I don't think that he went around PM people asking for support. The more active you are, the more desperate you will appear.

I think he should accept the ban and simply move on...
If he is here only for the money, "moving on" would mean creating the new account and starting from the scratch which I think many of those permanently banned do, and that's one of the reason why I would like to see signature ban being used more. It of course doesn't mean that people would stop making alt accounts after getting banned, but I do think that some would rather continue being active on the main account.
3135  Other / Meta / Re: Need Help From Expert or Mods on: July 23, 2022, 03:48:37 PM
Publicly announcing the change of email address (before the change itself) might be a good idea so that you can always refer to that post if someone ever asks you about it (for instance, changing email is sometimes associated with account sale or even hacking).
I don't see how can this make it any better as the new owner might as well come here and create the similar thread and then change the email. I mean, if we are being so paranoid.

I had the same problem before and I was also worried that changing the email would make people suspect that the account had changed hands.
I don't think that changing the email address will automatically make people think that account changes hands (at least it shouldn't) but if there are more changes beside that like a drastic change in posting habits/posting quality, that will certainly make people suspicious. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry much about it.
3136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 23, 2022, 03:40:39 PM
Don't forget that he is a businessman, and he is also the richest man in the world. If he were stupid enough to sell his fortune at a loss, he wouldn't be the richest man on the planet.
Just because he is rich and successful doesn't mean that he can't make mistakes that will cost him money. Take for example those 3AC and Celsius people; those are smart (and rich) people that were blinded by greed and made stupid mistakes. All I am saying is that its wrong to judge this move (and gloat) based on the price when this news leaked because both of these things happened earlier.

3137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 23, 2022, 10:07:33 AM
There were many saying on twitter that Tesla has bought high and sold low... they've convinced me and I didn't go to check the numbers.
So they were not at loss after all?
Yeah I know that "haha stupid paper hand Elon lost money on Bitcoin" is the narrative on social media, but when you check the prices around the time he bought and sold (which are different from the time that info was released) you see that him selling with loss is unlikely. Or even if he had some loss, it probably wasn't big.
3138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 23, 2022, 09:51:52 AM
I would disagree with that, because after all, he is a man who has far more influence than any ordinary person who sells or buys Bitcoin - and if you look at what the media is doing with this news and how much discussion is going on in this forum, it is also more than enough proof that people care what he says and what he does.
I meant in his view of bitcoin as a way to increase amount of fiat as majority of ordinary bitcoin holders use bitcoin primarily for that, they are not interested in bitcoin "philosophy" and that's why in my eyes he is not worse than anyone else just wanting to profit from bitcoin. It's just that he is doing it on a much larger scale and that's about it.

Accordingly, I hope that people have understood that he is only a part of the majority that you mention, and that he is not interested in Bitcoin for some other reasons.
Judging by the comments here, I am not so sure that people understand what's his goal in crypto and I think that many are taking him way too seriously.

3139  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For naim027. on: July 22, 2022, 03:41:41 PM
That was what I was thinking, the moderators are not under any obligation to provide explanations when either temporarily or permanently banning a member. I think I have only seen one instance (not the one you referred to in the Croatian board) where a moderator might have made a comment but they do not give a running commentary.
That's one of the rare things I don't like about this forum, that mods don't answer on such threads. I do understand that no answer is also an answer, but it would make people speculate way less so instead members talking for years (like in RegulusHR case), they could just give a simple answer and end the conversations. Its not like there are many ban appeal cases anyway.

IIRC signature ban is somehow common when admin/moderator decide to remove permanent ban, although i no longer remember which member who got such treatment.
I only know about one case of signature ban and that's lovesmayfamilis (who I remember was quite active on forum despite the signature ban) but I think I saw at least one more but can't remember the name now. I think that measure is seriously underused here, while it should be the obvious choice for the first time offenders.
3140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 22, 2022, 03:14:21 PM
PS. It was a big surprise for me that Tesla did buy high and sell low. I've been expecting them be smarter.
Why do you think that they made a loss on those 75% BTC that they sold? Afaik they bought Bitcoin before December 2021 when price was around 20k, and they didn't sell yesterday when this news broke but sometime before that so there is a high chance that in the end they profited from this trade.

Totally addicted to green, in every possible sense and form, and maybe we would have more luck if by any chance the Bitcoin logo was green, when it doesn't help that more than 50% of the energy used for Bitcoin mining comes from renewable sources...
In that regard I don't think that he is any worse than a huge majority of bitcoin hodlers who only see it as a way to increase their fiat amount and bitcoin proved to be a very good for that.
