My eleven year old daughter says hi to you all. She is very satisfied with the gains her bitcoin made today.

Say hi back. Hope she gets rich!

Last December I started a little nest egg for my grandnephew on his second birthday with $100 worth of Bitcoin. On his mother's birthday in April, I added another $100 worth. It's already worth over $1200 including the AltCash.

I gave his parents the private key and told them they should stash it in their safe deposit box or some other secure place, show it to no one and not touch it until he's enrolled in a college or university or turns 30, whichever comes first.

I told them it's a golden goose. I can monitor it through blockckain.io and as long as it's untouched, I'll keep adding to it. Break it and it's done.

oh god i can't stand the curiosity any more

Jimbo who was at the door?

Luckily someone who owed me money, and just in time too. I may be paper rich now but I'm still pocket poor.

I'm still recovering from buying the dips in September and a couple of weeks ago.
Life is good. Go Bitcoin go.

What other activities do you do? I mean other than sleeping.
I envy you.  Smiley

I'm basically retired, so my main activities are sex and herbs and rock and roll. I do a lot of partying, still play regularly with several bands and attend baseball games during season. I spend a lot of time at the bar. I also like spending time in the forest or at the lake. I'm thinking of "buying" a few acres of jungle in the Yucatan on Mayan land. I can do it with Bitcoin, no fiat involved.

I collect a couple of pensions and make a little extra here and there from various businesses, hustles and scams. I jump on bargains and sell them for a profit. By far my main source of income is Bitcoin but all my profits stay in Bitcoin (for now). I used to mine.

I've bounced between poverty and semi-wealth all my life. Now I've achieved a certain level of stability thanks to Bitcoin. I'm proud to say I haven't had a "real" job since 1976. Getting paid for a hobby doesn't count. I've learned to resist unnecessary spending and live cheaply.

As I said, life is good.

Real bears are poor guys that sold their Bitcoins long time ago (or never even had any significant amount of it)....  well, there's also the "new bears"... those that are still waiting for $875.

Don't forget all the "adolescent angst bears", immature kids who think pessimism, cynicism and sarcasm are cool.

They're frustrated by their own lives and love to see others fail.

A very late good morning Bitcoinland. I was woken at the crack of noon by the phone ringing and the door pounding and haven't had a chance to check in until now.

I see we kept last night's gains and reached another ATH before sliding back a little... currently $6620USD/$8527CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltCash also holding its own at $495USD/$637CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Life is good. Go Bitcoin go.
3165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 01, 2017, 09:44:30 AM
Not worth staying up for? What has become of us? Tongue

OK you got me. Sleep deprivation be damned, I wanna see $6.5k.
$6.5k hit, time to go to bed, Jimbo.

Don't worry, we'll be here, watching the charts for you.

Okay, I just finished off a big mug of hot soup. That should cure my Bitcoin-induced insomnia.

See you at the crack of noon. $6.6k maybe?  Grin

I just checked in after an evening of Halloween revelry and celebration of the day's ATHs.

What do I see? Yet another ATH at Stamp... $6450.

Maybe I'll stay up a little longer to enjoy the show. Perhaps I should roll a fatty and see if this continues.

Go Bitcoin go.
3169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: November 01, 2017, 08:06:57 AM
How pleasant, another jackpot.

A day with an average above $8kCAD is also quite agreeable. How nice. I quite enjoy milestones.

Keep up the good work Bitcoin.  Cheesy

3172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investing in Eth and Btc on: October 31, 2017, 04:03:30 PM
Eth is a much better investment at this point IMO. Or you can go invest in worthy ICOs. Just do proper research. The BTCBTCBTC ship has sailed already and the potential isn't too rewarding anymore.

Nonsense.

The Bitcoin ship is just getting started. We're still in the early adopter stage, nowhere near going vertical. The potential is still very rewarding.

Ethereum has also passed its innovator stage and has already increased many times in value and it may be still in its early adopter stage but it may never gain the traction of Bitcoin. I wouldn't consider it a better investment than Bitcoin. Don't trust anything without a fixed supply limit, especially if it comes pre-mined to the enrichment of its creators.

ICOs are just scams. No wonder so many governments around the world are banning them to protect their citizens. Stay away from ICOs.

What a magnificent Halloween good morning ladies and gentlemen of Bitcoinland.

I see we've done it again. Another glorious day, another splendid ATH... currently $6395USD/$8244CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Altcash down a wee at $440USD/$565CAD (Coinmarketcap).

A hearty CCMF to all the wise holders who didn't panic during the dark days, saw the potential, and continued to accumulate.

Time has proven us right once again. Sorry, Lambie, Kwukkie, Mat, and the rest of the naysayers. Your loss, our gain.

someone needs to wake jimbo up

Yes !!!

WAKEY WAKEY JIMBO ....   TIME TO GET UP AND SEE SOME GOOD NEWS !!!!

[military bugle sounds]

Thanks for the wakeup call. It must've cut right through the very pleasant dream I was having.

Sorry about the ATH gloating. I guess I'd better go make a pot of delicious Mocha-Java (full city roast with 18% cream and pure cane sugar), finish waking up and let this sink in.

Go Bitcoin go. CCMF.

A late and slightly hungover good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we're still over $6k despite the profit-taking/correction following yesterday's ATH... currently $6075USD/$7804CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltCash slipped a bit as well at $451USD/$578CAD (Coinmarketcap).

It would be nice if $6k was the new bottom but I'm not counting on that quite yet. Getting over $8kCAD was fun yesterday though. It's another milestone. This time last year we were looking forward to just getting back to $1k.

What a difference a year makes. Go Bitcoin go.
3175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 29, 2017, 08:28:20 PM
How pleasant. I turn my back for a minute and see I missed a new ATH.

$6.3 and we still have a couple of days left in October.

Go Bitcoin go.
3176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 29, 2017, 04:28:57 PM
AltGodl is up too, currently $108

AltGold doesn't even exist yet. It's still in its sleazy pre-mining period.

Any prices now are basically on futures. We'll see if there's ever any real value to it.

The only reason I quote AltCash is that it's actually worth something, albeit pretty much only at South Korean exchanges.
3177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 29, 2017, 04:08:37 PM
Well a very good morning Bitcoinland.

I see I woke up just in time for a rally. It's moving so quickly there's almost no point in posting a price but it just hit $6017USD/$7709CAD at Bitcoinaverage.

AltCash is also up nicely at $456USD/$585CAD (Coinmaketcap). For those still holding both, that's a total of $6473USD or $8194CAD per old coin. Not bad.

Go Bitcoin go.

Good morning Bitcoinland;

I see we're still bouncing up and down a couple hundred bucks at a time... currently $5795USD/$7475CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltCash is edging upward... currently $352USD/$453CAD (Coinmarketcap) for those who still hold it.

We still have half a week before the end of the month. That's lots of time to get back over $6k and maybe even a new ATH.

Let's get 'er done. Go Bitcoin go.

RICH!!!!!!!!!

I thought that a little off-putting gayness was keeping with our recent thread theme.

See what happens when you meddle with powers you don't understand ?

Thanks for crashing the price, faggot.

That's right ! I just called you a bundle of sticks !

What are you gonna do about it ?!

Must be Friday.

Enjoy your rich west country sauce:

@Jimbo
Can you please explain why are you keeping on giving updates on Altcash prices?
Are you still invested in that?  Grin

Yep. I'm waiting until I can sell them without risking the anonymity of my bitcoins. The price has been fairly steady after bouncing up and down. I think the market may have discovered the value of this altcoin. I'm willing now to play wait and see.
____

I post the prices daily because lots of others are also still holding what they got gifted in August.
