3161  Economy / Economics / Re: Why own stock if You can own the stocks of the Federal reserve on: May 31, 2021, 11:59:01 AM
Sorry but I didn't understand that. Everybody who owns bitcoins also own a part of the USA FED? How can that be true, I don't see any connection here. So every bitcoin holder is getting a USD dividend? Will you need the American passport for that? Honestly that sounds too good to be true.
3162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gaming Scams during Pandemic. How to Stay Safe. on: May 31, 2021, 11:55:26 AM
I have an very old email which I usually use for gambling so I receive a lot of spam and scam emails. Over the last 6 months the number of email promotions increased dramatically. This partly due to the pandemic and the larger number of online gamblers, so casinos want to be more competitive in fighting for new customers. Just by looking at the header of an email we can't really say if it is legit or not. The title and name always look very professional, but there is one way to always check. Just looking on the actual email adress. Scammers usually use very long addresses that sound already fake and are not something like promotions@casino.xyz
3163  Other / Off-topic / Re: Some times you over rate or Under rate yourself on: May 31, 2021, 11:48:06 AM
To get true picture of yourself
Always try to look Yourself from other peoples eyes.
U might Under value yourself or self doubts...  But to get true pictuere u need to look Yourself as othet person objective without emotions.

This is Helpful always *

I think it's hard to get a full picture of ourselves from just our own point of view. Even if we look in a mirror it will be not a true picture. That is why it's so important to talk with family and friends. Sometimes it's much easier for them to tell things ourselves we weren't aware of. I always tell my friends to be fully honest with me, it helps me in the long run.
3164  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Australia the New North Korea? on: May 31, 2021, 11:35:50 AM
Australia closes its borders and doesn't even allow its citizens to come back
This is not true. Australian citizens have an automatic exemption to travel restrictions into Australia. Australia does, however, restrict its citizens' ability to leave the country.

Their border policy is very popular and is intended to stop the spread of covid into their country. Unfortunately, they have been slow at distributing the vaccine, which ultimately would give way for them to open up their borders again.

I think that many countries would like to do the same but controlling large land borders seems impossible in today's world. Having your own island makes it so much more easier. Iceland and New Zealand did the exact same thing. Even UK tried to do it during the height of the corona pandemic. As long as these measures are short term and time limited. I don't see anything wrong with it.
3165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alts is best for atleast 1 Year Hodl? on: May 31, 2021, 11:31:03 AM
I want to invest in Alts. Please suggest the Top 5 Alts for 1 Year hodl?

Its a bit hard to give advice without knowing  a bit more about your plans.

How much money do you want to invest?

Does it really have to be 5 coins?

The alt coin market is usually more volatile than other asset classes, so just investing and forgetting about the coins is a bit risky. My favourite alt coin is still ETH.
3166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Welcome bonuses on: May 31, 2021, 11:25:31 AM
During my first few adventures on online casinos I got blindsighted by the large deposit bonuses. Especially numbers like a 200% bonus made it hard for me to resist. I thought that I could just play a bit red/black roulette strategy and quickly cash out that bonus. Once I made a decent profit and tried to withdraw I realised that there are conditions to be met before withdrawing any winnings. With hindsight now I was a bit naive to think I could just withdraw. Nowadays I read the terms of the deposit bonus before gambling.
3167  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: May 31, 2021, 11:21:48 AM
Besides my normal 9 to 5 job, I also so some online business myself. Crypto currencies is just an investment for me, I don't spend too much time trading so I can't count it as an business. The most time I spent making money online is by buying and selling things via ebay. I tend to look at local fairs for cheap deals that I then can sell online with a small profit.
3168  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dating thread on: May 31, 2021, 11:19:00 AM
Hey, guys. What do you think about online Dating? Is it possible to create a serious relationship after getting acquainted with it on the Internet? Share their experiences. I think this is a very interesting topic.

I met my current girlfriend through online dating, we have been together for almost a year and I am very happy to have found her. She is from another city so the first 4 weeks just chatted and spoke on the phone, once we met in person I already felt I knew her for a long time. In today's fast moving world having online dating is a great help.
3169  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: May 31, 2021, 11:16:27 AM
I read an article this weekend from a big newspaper that said scientist from the Wuhan virus institute were admitted to the hospital in autumn 2019. This would mean there were corona cases before the official reports from China. And the outbreak might really happen in the laboratory and not the fish market. China is of course saying it's all fake news and not true. So far we still didn't have an international independent science team checking were the virus came from.
3170  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason Bitcoin Investment will be preferred more than Oil on: May 30, 2021, 07:48:36 AM
The biggest reason for me why I prefer cryptos over other commodities including oil is that storing is so much easier. Storing commodities like oil or gold in larger quantities is very expensive. The only real alternative is buying financial derivatives, like futures or ETFs but then you always need to trust the bank behind. I want to own the underlying assets myself. With crypto currencies I have so much more flexibility and choose freely what to buy and what to sell with lower fees.
3171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 30, 2021, 07:41:10 AM
The covid boosted all the online services like google, youtube, gambling, eCommerce, etc. So this thing is not too much surprising even now the people are stick with the new normal because it is more convenient to them that is why we also see more players started to gamble online due to convenience and also they are afraid of getting infected if they roam around and visit physical casinos.

I agree, a lot of our lifestyle changed to online within the corona pandemic. What is so surprising is how even the older generation adapted to this phrnemon. My father is really bad with computers and cell phones, he never wanted a smart phone and once he got one he just used it to call and maybe send a few messages. But since the pandemic and lockdown,he completely changed. I showed him how to do video calls and now he does it many times a day, he feels offended if I want a normal call. Also a friend of my parents who is 71 told me last time I saw that he started with online gambling, at that age  Cheesy
3172  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite outdoor activity? on: May 30, 2021, 07:35:23 AM
We Bitcoiners spend a lot of time on the computer and indoors. What's your favorite way to get outside and be active?

I have three favourite outdoor activities, depending on the type of year. During winter I love snowboarding, during summer I love swimming in the sea and during spring and autumn I love riding my bike. And when it's raining I am sad.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 30, 2021, 07:32:52 AM
It's about reading the stats and knowing about a bit of statistics and mathematics. There are for sure a bunch of lucky players who have the chance to win and, sometimes, to win big but these data are outnumbered by the millions who keep losing.
This is how life works in the end, sometimes we're ahead, sometimes we're behind and the race it's only with ourselves.
To me it's not about negativity, but about reality and facts.

I think there are two negative type of people towards gambling and who try to stop it. The first group is former gamblers who either lost money or who tried hard and never managed to win big. The feel like they deserve to win but the bad casinos are rigged and they had to chance. This is probably the more extremer group where changing their mind seems very hard. The second group is not so extreme and could like be reasoned with. They are just negative people, probably never really gambled and just want to ruin the fun for others.
3174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto journey on: May 29, 2021, 01:34:43 PM
It's great to read success stories from some of the older members here. I agree with you that we shouldn't expect to become millionaires overnight. It is rather important to stay for the long run. The first time i was here was in 2016, but due to moving to a new city and starting a new job I didn't really have much time for cryptos and ended up selling my coins. I probably regret this once every few days, but we can't change it, the past is behind us. Now we need to plan for the future. Only came back to cryptos recently, but not going to make the same mistake again.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on Medieval MMA? on: May 29, 2021, 01:27:54 PM
This looks awesome, we have two small castles near my home town, where once a year is a week of medieval markets and including some fighting. This was before corona, so hopefully next year this will be happening. There is one blacksmith I have known for many years now, he makes the swords and chain mail and other amor. He told me that while the fighting looks very brutal that it is not real. It is similar to WWE which is more of a show than a actual fight. At first I was a bit surprised because it looked so real. No idea if it is in other regions the same, but if it was real I would bet on it.
3176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new funny/joke coin on: May 29, 2021, 01:08:38 PM
I am going to issue a coin that can only be mined with a graphics card, No ASIC.which will be forked from Ethereum.
The total supply is 210 billion.  block time will be 5s,for more efficiency.
and 1% will be premined for #airdrop and promotions, and will be unlocked in 10 years.
I am going to follow the Dogecoin route, start fairly, have no profit goals, and operate at will. The success or failure lies entirely with the miners. In order to lower the mining threshold, ASIC mining is prohibited in the algorithm.
maybe I will name it as Shitcoin-SHIT.
Do you have any more good ideas?

I thought the name shit coin was already take a while back, or was it just a project that never materialised? There are already plenty of fun coins out there, so why not another one. Since you will be the king of shit coins, how about you give some of your starting coins to fellow bitcointalk members? You could make a few giveaways here.
3177  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: May 29, 2021, 01:05:13 PM
6 TRILLION U.S. DOLLARS! That’s Biden’s plan. The proposal, if approved, will be for the fiscal year of 2022 and will he the highest in federal spending since World War 2. For Bitcoin, that will extend the current bull market. The crash we just experienced? It’s a GIFT! During times of extreme fear in the market, Buy the dip, and HODL.

I agree with you that any new fiscal stimulus package will likely have a positive impact on bitcoins. But there are also risks that we are facing right now with bitcoins. What if more countries and Billionaires join in on bashing bitcoins? Even though the bitcoin price I still high compared to one year ago, we need to remain cautious. This is probably the last chance for countries to stop bitcoin. Once we reach another ATH there won't be anything stopping bitcoins.
3178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why revolutions and movements fail at their desired outcome on: May 29, 2021, 01:01:00 PM
That's a good summary on Revolutions and failing protests. One point I would add is that many people are too lazy to change something and just accept their miserable position. When we see flashy protests on the streets where masked individual fight with the police it always looks like that whole country is on fire. But in reality most people just sit at home and don't want to engage. It is hard to get everybody involved into a revolution. That is also why we see most revolutions are done by the military, because they have the power.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: May 29, 2021, 12:55:28 PM
My most favourite gambling game is poker. I love playing card games and having the chance to play against other people is great. What makes poker so cool is that you don't need to have the best hand to win the pot. Bluffing is an important feature of poker that can make us a lot of money. Unfortunately poker became very competitive over the years so we need to stay focused and sharp. My second favourite online game is dice, you 50/50 chances to double your money.
3180  Other / Off-topic / Re: I work in the Crypto Gambling industry AMA on: May 29, 2021, 12:45:17 PM
Hello, thank you for your opportunity to ask some question here. Probably many are like me and would like to know more about the gambling industry and how to work in that area. I have two questions for you,

1. Do you have any special training or education for the job in gambling? Was it hard to get these qualifications?

2. How did you find that job? Is it possible to start working in the online gambling industry without any prior knowledge?

Thanks in advance
