Actually I think guvernments of the future (maybe present) will mine BTC. But not to destroy it, but to not miss out if this takes off. They have think tanks that report to them and if Bitcoin gets too much momentum, they surely won't just stand by and do nothing!

10? Phew... okay, I mean it's as good a bet as all the others. If you asked people a couple of years ago if they could imagine a $580 Bitcoin, they'd have you institutionalized. But in order to really retire, I think we're more in the 50 BTC realms, at least... With logarithmic growth everything is possible, but in 5 years 10 bitcoins maybe way too little, yes. This also depends hugely on the amount of money needed to retire! |

This thread is kinda depressing; this sillyness should have been fixed a year ago.
It's a good wake-up call to how open source software almost never succeeds in the real world. You mean like linux, Firefox, open office, Wordpress, apache , MySQL, BSD, Magento, Filezilla, audacity, gimp, vlc, truecrypt, ubunto, keypass? Just because there is a part that needs to be fixed ( I am not even entirely convinced it should be fixed on a protocol level!) , makes you think BTC will never reach mainstream success.. This is a really unfortunate mistake... They should have sanity checks for such things in the client OP was using....
Well ... it will always the problem with "virtual" wallet (mtgox ?). That why bitcoin core exist, too... not only for server and node features but for wallet managment, too. But Blockchain.info is no hosted wallet. It is a browserside wallet that has a encrypted backup hosted on their server. Without access to your keys they can't really scam you, also it is very powerful if you know what you do! BTW: BTC core doesn't do sanity checks too if you use coincontrol , so standard core = standard BCI sending! |

I earn +- 1000USD a month, the thing here is that i still live with my parents! hahaha Well, thenn good for you that you act so responsible with your mone! Most young people I know that live at their parents and have a low paying job, just spend their money on bullshit. They end up with about 20$ saving per month even though they earn >1000€ |

Yes or make a sliding scale. Small transactions 1% and the bigger it gets the fee slides down to 0.01% (>50,000,000 NODEs maybe) |

If i fucked up, and no one helps my oopsie… it makes everything bitcoin look bad. A giant ugly mole on its face that keeps growing. Don't use advanced features if you can't handle the implications. Don't always blame others. NO, it was not 110% blockchain.infos fault, it was yours. The only way to get your money back is to contact the miner who mined it. But you are not able to do that obviously. |

i want help i just hire a escrow he hold the coins now he transacted the coins did not give me my coins.. he scammed me or i will wait till tommorw.. i will reveal his username after tommorw.. .25 has been tx he have +8 trust in green ..  now a days be aware of escrows as they scam. and he is online and not replying me. theymos please reply to this thread help want from you. Maybe there is some misscommunitcation! waht kind of ? i ask him sir you got coin please confirm he is not replying pm him again again and again.. but not replying .. after he log out and sig in again he transacted the btc.. Irgendwie unlogsich, Deine Logik: Wieso sollte Dich jemand an'PM'en, der auf den gleichen Ausgang setzt, wie Du?  Falls sie länger als ein jahr ab heute Online sind, so qoute ich Dich mit deiner Aussage  Was ist schon ein Jahr? Solange da immer genug Frischfleisch nachwächst, kann (und sollte) man so einen Scam so lange wie nur irgendmöglich durchziehen. Wenn man die ersten paar Leute auszahlt, ist das die perfekte Werbung, die nur wieder neues Geld in die Kassen spült. Es ist schließlich viel lukrativer, erstmal 10-100 Leute auszuzahlen und dann ein paar 1000 abzuzocken, als sich mit den 10-100 abzugeben. Semantik.... Meinte offensichtlich, falls jemand dagegen wetten will. Aber hast Recht selbst dann machts nicht viel Sinn, weil das Investieren in sie, ist quasi ne Wette das alles gut geht |

apparently OP went to "custom send" (the advanced part of the sending on BCI) and then put in the fee in the field where the amount goes in and vice versa. Then he confirmed the popup once again warning him. |
