Guys join our Electroneum pool https://electroneum.fairhash.org/
pool address   pool.etn.fairhash.org   ports   3333    5555    7777
Feel free to join!
*Pool support Workers
*0 hr e-mail notification
*SSL connection
*telegram bot with new blocks notification and 0 hr alert
*individual payout level
*24h support and more....

but you forget to write that your min pay out is 50 etn...
I agree. They need to lower it to 5 coins minimum. Screw that dopey policy of "Pool Hopping is Prohibited" BS.  Roll Eyes

Many would like to try a pool feel it out but not get trapped waiting for days on a payout. That's why everyone has left and now it takes a day almost to block....

Many small miners want to feel and see something happening from there miners. Not have to wait forever.

FairHash you need to lower it to 5 coins, announce it in here in big red letters and you will see miners coming back.  Wink and get rid of that stupid pool hop warning, its ridiculous. If people want to come and go let em! at least you will have miners checking you out and MAYBE they will stay  Smiley

PS: I am getting ready to pull out as soon as we block (whenever that may be now?) on your pool, and when I do you will definitely fall below 1 M/h ....... lower that to 5
5 coins... you must be joking.
No I am not joking!  Roll Eyes I can see 50, 100, 500 minimums with ASICs but not now. Didn't used to be that way when ETN launched.

Dont know about 5, and I agree with you that what it is now is too high.

So is it ok to mine directly to Cryptopia these days?

No, dont mine directly to Cryptopia
Why are there so many mining to Cryptopia on Nano? or at least it says Cryptopia on the miners page  Huh

I am using 1 miner now with payment ID on Nano.... why not lol got to get off of Fairhash

Dont follow those mining directly to Cryptopia, as sooner (most likely sooner) or later they will be crying the blues

What happen to the price? I was thinking that after the fork, the price will moon, i was wrong maybe. But thats ok, thank for updating the chain, its an ASIC resistant now.

I warned everyone just days before the fork right here that they shouldnt expect the price to rise.

The price will rise when our partnerships with companies with over 130,000,000 customers are actually exposed to Electroneum.

This is starting very soon, along with the FIRST MARKETING PUSH.

This is when you will see the price skyrocket

That is one thing that may turn some people off from ETN, is that there are some aspects that are centralized, one big example is the mobile miner.

I would also point out that ETN is a DECENTRALIZED blockchain.

The balance between the two, and getting the best of both worlds, is what I believe will one of the main factors that catapult Electroneum to cryptos first case of true mass adoption.

I get where you are coming from, but that's not how things work.

Either a project is decentralized or centralized, you can't be both in 1 project, easy as that.

And you can't split a project neither by saying the blockchain is decentralized but everything else is centralized, that's not how decentralized things work, seriously not.

To compare here an example: You can't be a non profit foundation and a profit coroporation in the same time by saying donations and volunteer work is done by the foundation part of our project and the profit making is done by the corporated part of the project. While your argument "getting the best of both worlds" holds true in theory, in practice it's just pure centralized, easy as that.

As soon as you have 1 centralized factor the others don't matter anymore.... And actually this factor is the "head", the most important factor of the whole project.

Feel free to correct me if i miss something.

Yes, you missed something lol

Kinda hard to say something cant be decentralized and have centralized aspects to it when its happening right before our eyes. So no, its not just "easy as that" sorry.

The very large majority of the miners decided/voted with their hashpower to follow the ETNs official chain just days ago. In Moneros case, this didnt happen and years back the community left the original developer of Monero by the majority mining on a chain that separated the community from the original developer.

This is an great example of decentralization.

This same decentralization is present with ETN today.

AND

We also see Richard having full control of the money raised, the mobile miner is centralized, and they have a patent on the Instant Transaction Tech.

So to say you cant have both is not true now is it?

We are witnessing it occur right here.

Its undeniable. The proof if right in front us.

This is part of the magic..

Its amazing when you think about it

** like I said, it may not be DECENTRALIZED ENOUGH FOR SOME, but there are aspects that are decentralized in the project.

Look at the spread hashpower of Bitcoin. That is a centralized part of Bitcoin that many dont like.

You can have both aspects in a project
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: June 05, 2018, 08:47:38 AM
They have a patent for Instant Transactions Tech. They hired a Monero Dev and have other blockchain experts.

Sounds like a plan, but your statement rises another questions. IF they have a patent how is that decentralized?
Do i understand it right that Electroneum is centralized?

That is one thing that may turn some people off from ETN, is that there are some aspects that are centralized, one big example is the mobile miner.

I would also point out that ETN is a DECENTRALIZED blockchain.

Some of the benefits of striking that balance are pointed out in the above post quoted here:
i also remember u guys hired an Ericcson engineer?
https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrelpg/

@boxalex, i think that u think in the wrong way (excuse me if i'm wrong),
Do you mean centralize/decentralize or closed source / opensource?
What i am trying to say: ETN is opensource, but like in the whole tech world, some patents are very, very important to secure your business model.

If you want that some technique u create will be able to use in the real world (like instant payments in this way ETN is doing), u must have an patent on it.
Still, every dev in this world is free to create his own technique. So they are blocking nobody on this way, they just secure there own technique what is normall (beter, its very good that they have an patent on this).

Also, what if ETN didnt get a patent on that technique, and what if another team decide to patent it.. ETN would lose there own technique, so before someone else get a patent, you must be first. So yes, it's very good that ETN decide to patent an usefull technique what they created.

I hope u can see it on this way so it makes more sense for you (because i didn't even start about all the positive things about this patent. 1st, they got an stamp on there name in the tech world by this patent) Smiley
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: June 05, 2018, 02:17:00 AM

Many coins are 1on1 copies (some with small changes), ETN isn't a simple copy from Monero.
ETN is an very tweaked monero
.

You can't compare it with other coins what has forked. Also the diff was very, very high because of al the asic miners. Other coins also didnt had this problem.

If it was just an copy from monero i would totally agree with you, however it is not a simple copy. And problems are there to be fixed Smiley

Even more reason than to have a good dev team and experts.

Just in generally: I personally have my problems with projects that have good marketing teams, 1000 advisors, make daily a video, have mods/admins on
20 channels but only 1 dev. (Just as an example).

In my opinion the technical advance must be priority, than everything else. Just as a side note as i see many projects focus a lot on marketing but fail to
deliver/develope technicaly..... The best example for that is Verge, hype and always back to the roots.... I have still believe in this project, but as we are
on day 6 now without transacations (maybe even without accepted blocks?!) i strongly advice to investe more on the technically side.

Dont let the current situation fool you; trust me.

They have a patent for Instant Transactions Tech. They hired a Monero Dev and have other blockchain experts.

They are not the "deer in headlights" regarding tech as they are preceived to be.

Lets just say, step back and look big picture and things make more sense
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: June 05, 2018, 02:04:59 AM
I'm mobile mining and I've got 20 ETN that hasn't been transferred to the block chain is there a delay at the moment?

Yes, transactions paused at the moment (the app also give u this ''warning'').;

I think in the next days the transactions will flow again Smiley

Hello, I also have same problem, I mined on my mobile and already rearch 10 ETN 4 days ago. Until now I don't see it in my wallet although I refresh wallet several times.
Now I am still waiting ?

They are right

It always will end up showing up in your wallet. Dont worry and just keep mobile mining
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: June 04, 2018, 09:02:51 PM
Anybody really using their mobile miner? It is actually horrible. It not only wastes your mobile's resources but also you won't get credited frequently. This was so much hyped during ICO but now it's a disappointment.
What? It doesn't use up much battery at all and I'm getting over 10 etn a day so I dont know what you were expecting but its exactly what they said it would be.

173,000 Active Mobile Miners at same time today
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: June 03, 2018, 08:29:00 AM
how can it do this when the block is rejected? Doesn't the block need to be accepted to fix the difficulty problem first?
As said, that's my non coder thought: As long as none of the new blocks gets accepted so doesn't any change within it, not?
Nope. Difficulty is calculated by the miner before calclutating block hash as the part of the block template. (function Blockchain::create_block_template() in blockchain.cpp)
If patch decide that difficulty for the next block must be lower miner will spend less time building next block.

Thx, got it more or less, not complety, lol, but i got an idea at least.

How about a temporary roll-back? Wouldn't that be temporary the better decision after 4 days without working network?

No, I dont think a rollback would be of interest

Awe come on man we're just having a fun hearty little debate on that "chicken and egg" lol

Really for any coin to be successful it needs everyone, good devs, investors, pool owners, exchanges, good community support and participation, and mostly a good concept and lots of happy miners!  Grin

Meanwhile back at the ranch" seems the block finds have slowed again?

LOL  Wink

     Grin Grin Grin

Thanks to both of you for being so passionate about ETN.

One of you sees the investor as the most important

One of you sees the miner is the most important

Thats like arguing over what is more important; the brain or the heart.

Lets not keep filling up pages going back and forth about the chicken or the egg type circle here, as we already have almost filled up a few.

Thanks guys!
!

Hashrate has doubled at nanopool. ETN team maybe hear the complaints.

Jep: 19,179,825.0 H/s

This is just what we need and what we were asking for so.

This why we love ETN right? The community is there for ETN and ETN is there for the community.

Sometimes we just need to be a little bit pissed on those guys, but that's part of the cryptoworld Cheesy

Have faith everyone. Everything will he fine.

Keep mining
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: June 01, 2018, 10:42:37 AM
I'm also wondering why the difficulty is going slightly higher with every block we find... shouldn't it go lower since the block took a longer time to be mined? I guess there are some moving averages taken into account which is why the Electroneum team said they need help with the first 27 blocks, maybe that's how long it takes for the blockchain to adjust into the average times of the last blocks.

But still.... block 307499 was at 96.6kkk diff. and now we're at 178.6kkk !! Let's hope that the whatever patch the team issued will be inserted into the pools and help fix the issue. The problem is not so much the diff. as it's the rejection of mined blocks for some technical reason I have not understood. Nanopool and Spacepools have this patch so let's support either of them.

EDIT: AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, AVOID MINING ON OTHER CHAINS!!! WE'RE ONLY LOSING POWER FROM THE MAIN CHAIN MAKING THINGS SLOWER Whatever the supporters of forked chains are promising you, is not gonna happen, use your brains and don't be scammed.

The ETN team needs to moderate their greediness a little and buy nicehash power to find these 27 blocks for their money and give themselves a bonus for finding these blocks for more than 4 hours.

Totally agree!!

Before you all agree and fill 5 pages of this thread with requests to the team about buying NiceHash power, check their Twitter/FB page and try to understand that the problem is not ONLY the hashrate.
24 hours ago they explained that blocks are failing even though miners "mine" them and 10 hours ago they issued a fix, asking pool owners to update from github.

Maybe a little extra hashrate would help... but that would be like having a barel with one hole that's losing water, and what you do is fill the barel with more water in order for the level of water to stay still! Better fix the holes in my opinion!

Great post!!!

Mining on the other chains is short sighted at best.

These miners who mine and just dump are going to have that big story they tell their grandkids.

"Well, I could have been a millionaire. You see, my story is a lot like the person who bought pizza with 10,000 Bitcoin. If I would have held onto all the Electeoneum I mined.....but I didnt learn the term HODL until it was toooo late........."  Cheesy

Everything will be just fine everyone.

Mine on the Electroneum chain. Make sure the pool you are in is doing so.

Dont mention the other chains here.

Dont comment on any threads of any other chains, let them die off.

Thank you

@anonymint has written a comprehensive blog analyzing the extant projects and consensus ledger designs.
This exemplifies the depth of his research and expertise, as well pretty much points out that
there's nothing yet published in our industry which can achieve all three of: scalability, security, and decentralization.

we will go to moon after hardfork on 30th may  Shocked

Positivity is always welcomed, and I dont want you guys to get your hopes up too much.

The fork is great news as it will get rid of the ASICs.

The biggest jump will be when we start onboarding users from the 130,000,000 customers from the confirmed 11 companies we have a partnership with, plus others to be announced.

This will be when the Marketing starts as well.

This is when we will see a big jump in price. If the fork was going to give us a huge jump in price, most of it would have came at the hard date announcement, and maybe also in the few days leading up to the fork.

Im not saying there wont be an increase at all, just that the big jump in price will be when we start adding users by the millions. This will take us past Bitcoin in number of users. This is not long off in the future either. Its getting relatively close.
