unlimited supply of gas which they take from occupied Siberia,

Cheesy Sorry Blah Blah - but could you just elucidate that to which it is you are referring when you say "occupied Siberia" ?  Is this the new black propoganda buzzword angle from the US billionaires hegemony machine, pre private US security firm covert placement in Volgograd Grin ?

"Occupied Siberia" ? What the fuck you banging on about Blah ?

Just rolling with the news... Russia: Siberian autonomy web page shut down
and
Syberia wants autonomy – Siberian artist: “We give away our resources and get piles of dumb laws in return”

So it seems they even have a few angry natives who survived the initial purges, which I guess means that the Russians are not that different from the US, or Australia, or South Africa, or a lot of other places after all.
322  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin did it! on: August 06, 2014, 10:19:56 PM

USA plays tough  big brother of anyone who have full pockets(read : oil, gas).

why america bolt going to war with Palestinians or Russia? why always there is reason to fight afgans and other country's where is oil? but. when is down to Ukraine or Gaza USA seems blind?

Probably partly geopolitics, and partly human nature (for some humans!) to support the underdog. In this case Russia is the big evil baddie with an unlimited supply of gas which they take from occupied Siberia, while the Ukraine is an East European upstart that had the misfortune of being stuck with lots of ex-Soviet infrastructure after the USSR collapsed.

There seems to be a misconception among Russians that Russia is somehow the 'victim'. Perhaps in some ways, like a mentally retarded and deformed giant, they are a victim, but they cannot pretend that they are somehow smaller or weaker than the Ukraine.

Putin is a loser.

Why is everyone shitting their pants about him?

.

Putin is a professional, while the western politicians are amateurs.

I'm not so sure.

Professionals can be fired. Amateurs can not.

I take back my earlier statement about vanilla porn. It sounds like his private sessions with Angela Merkel may have been quite exciting! :p

Your Cyrillic alphabet is all Greek to me.... And soon, your economy will also be Greek. Cheesy

Putin is a loser.

Why is everyone shitting their pants about him?

.

Putin is just some guy. He probably has a small penis -- I'm just speculating as to why his wife left him! I'm sure he has a great personality, reasonable taste in extra-sweet Bulgarian wine, and makes tolerable jokes.

What I think "Westerners" are shitting their pants about is not the blond guy himself, but the Russian people who love him so much. They seem so extreme, so dedicated to their country, patriotic, so brainwashed... And soon they will love their dear leader even more, while they starve.
327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: August 04, 2014, 09:56:04 AM
^^^ Hmmm.... good luck with that. Gazprom wants to recover $5 billion in gas payment from Naftogaz, and at the same time Naftogaz now want a payment of $6 billion in fictional claims from Gazprom.

No more "fictional" than the Russian propaganda that that it's a "debt". What court ruled on the matter?

Quote
Anyway... I seriously doubt the neutrality of the European courts, after they granted $50 billion to the criminal Khodorkovsky.

Oh I understand now, political opposition is a crime in Russia.
Why should anyone take your "doubts" seriously, when you keep defending Russian stupidity?
328  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: August 03, 2014, 08:06:21 PM
The title is a bit misleading, don't you think? Ukraine can't keep paying them less seeing as to how much debt they already own. And Gazprom is State-owned,so obviously the current political situation will have a part to play in the gas prices. There are reports of how Russia has agreed to supply to China so that the losses caused by Eu members shifting away from their gas wont have too much of an impact. But for some counties, even that is not an option as they do not have sources of other fuel.

I looked at the numbers before, and the Russians are just full of shit. When I checked, the debt was just a small fraction of what Ukraine uses annually. And when I say 'debt', I use the term loosely because the whole point of the gas disagreement seems to be that the Russians keep breaching the contract and cutting off the supply, apparently for political bullying purposes.

And it seems to get more complicated because Russia has much bigger, more important customers than Ukraine. E.g.: Germany, China, Japan... Even if it's nothing personal, the Ukraine is still near the bottom of the food chain. Russia probably just wanted an excuse to break some smaller contracts because of the ongoing crisis in Japan and their massive increase in gas requirements after they shut down their reactors.
329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Breaking News. Russia is busted with delivery of weapons to Ukraine. on: August 03, 2014, 07:50:38 PM
Furthermore, the EU market is at least 8 times bigger than the Russian market, so there is no way that continued isolation would be favourable for the Ukraine.

Protectionism and isolation is also bad for Russia, but I guess that the former Communists in the Kremlin, and Putin's idols, are just stubborn old fools.

when Ukraine signed a trade agreement with Europe

Oh. EU is a part of Europe, some half or less. But Kiev have signed nothing...

Why "an independent nation" need signed strange agreements?

What EU buy from Kiev now? (Please with numbers.)

We have already discussed this, but for some reason your brain seems unable to comprehend basic economics.

The whole point of a trade agreement would have been to establish some ground rules with which to start trading. Russia simply wants to keep using the Ukraine as a source of cheap labour. They (Russia) don't want the prices of low-cost Ukrainian products to go up, because that would be expensive and annoying for Russia.

For start of trading someone need have things and other part need have interest to buy this thing and need delivery money.
What are numbers of 2014 in confront with 2013 of Ukrainian export to EU?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine–European_Union_Association_Agreement

I won't let you avoid the point so easily.
If the Ukraine is such a worthless desert, then why does Putin want it so badly?

How many people does the Ukraine have? About 45 million? Most of them would probably be happy to work for the equivalent of 10 euros per day, maybe less. I'm sure they could find something to export.
331  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: August 03, 2014, 07:19:32 PM
It's related to it, but other than that Poreshenko send the army against its own people.

You sound like a good patriotic Russian. Why are you wasting your time at the keyboard when you could serve your country far better by joining the Russian infantry? Your comrades need you!

1 & 2: rephrasing your questions to show their non-applicability.

3: Baltic states are happily-robbed by EU, and Russia had nothing against it. In fact, Russia has healthy trade agreements with the Baltic states. The same goes for other former Soviet-block countries. What Russia was opposed to, is the placement of rocket installation and NATO bases in the aforementioned countries, in clear violation of the promise given by NATO.

1.You transformed a question into a fucking no-sense...

2.That not answer the Ukraine point with EU and eurasiatic trade union. Also why Russia want the possibility to invade again ex-URSS country if they are really isolationist ?

Invade? Last I checked. Russia was shot at from Ukraine, and NATO was doing a massive military build-up of what can only be called an invasion force on Russian borders.
Oh my god! Russia is under threat from the Lugansk People's Republic! Roll Eyes

Or are you talking about the other border? I guess the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics will soon form friendly trade agreements with Russia USSR2.0, and there will be new borders, closer to Kiev?

Quote
1. When you try to trade with an ex-USSR country, and that country is ok with it, Russia is not boring anybody. However, when that country might lose 60% of its trade revenue by severing the trade deals with Russia, and starts having second thoughts...
Yeah, Russia is such a nice trading partner. "Trade on our terms and conditions, or else we will fuck you up like Crimea".

Quote
Let's just say that it's the EU that starts boring people with their coup d'etats.

You're misrepresenting the facts. Yanukovich committed high treason by abandoning the Ukraine when things got too tough for him. He ran away to his Russian master. You call that independent?? You should be ashamed of spreading your lies for money.

Yes but historically the "last republics" (the Soviet Republics) voted themselves away from Russia.  If I were a hypothetical politician in Moscow I would be nervous about creating anymore republics, especially in big regions like Siberia where the locals don't necessarily feel 100% Russian due to isolation or indigenous background.

Soviet Union is not "Russia".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_Union

Yes I forgot, everyone was genderless and had no race - they were 'Soviet' people!   Grin

I can accept that. I can also accept that today's Russia is not the same pre-revolution "Russia". I'm tired of all the pseudo-academic arguments trying to justify Russia's annexation of Crimea and other violent acts against former Soviet states.

As far as I'm concerned, all the "real" Russians should confine themselves to a 50 mile Tsar Bomba radius of Moscow.

...OOPS. That was a Soviet invention, nothing to do with Russia. My mistake.

I will ask the OP directly: if the rebels controlling Lugansk asked for your assistance, for example by providing food packages so that they don't go hungry while shooting at the Ukrainians, would you help them?

Yes or no?

The rebels are Ukrainians too, they are born there;
Unless they're under the age of 22, I think most of them would have been born in the USSR. And how many of them are able to or bother to speak the Ukrainian language?

Proofs:
1. Empty box of Food for tourists.
2. Aluminum box for food with sticker "LDPR".
3. Cacao powder.
4. Box with meat from supermarket.
5. Flag of bikers club.

That are the best hard proofs of highest PR of Kiev Maidan lunatics.

No, the best evidence is extremely simple: the Russians openly love and admire and feel warm and fuzzy inside regarding the suspected murderers who control Lugansk~Donetsk. The Russians also despise the Ukrainians for some unknown reason. A "smoking gun" is only part of the story. When analysing evidence, one must also look at things like motive and intent. Even if there's no evidence yet, or it has been censored by the Russian state media, it's obviously that you would support those rebels.

You provide your own examples by hateful name-calling: "Maidan lunatics".

Russia and their Belarus cronies have been restricting meat imports since 2013, based on trumped-up charges of African swine flu.

And for the notice, the ones putting more pressure over EU are the former Soviet-ring states now EU members; Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and so on. Not USA or UK.
Don't know what the Russians did there, but those guys don't fancy Russia much.

Well, in Latvia and Lithuania USSR built a strong industrial and agricultural complex. These republics had the highest living standard in the whole of USSR,

Where do you keep getting this shit from?

Why do you think Lithuania doesn't like Russia much today? Because of Western propaganda? Or maybe because the Baltic states were basically just slave states, forced to export most of the produce East.

Explain why the children were forced to learn Russian at school?

Can you cut the crap about "state media" or "propaganda"?
We know from their governments. When there is some issue with Russia the Western goverments goes with some restrain. Those start right away in a "kill them all" shit.
1. YOU cut the crap.
2. Have you ever wondered why Russia keeps making so many enemies? Perhaps you think it's a genetic trait that makes Lithuania dislike Russian oppression?
3. You think being 'Western' is some kind of disease that needs to be fixed? If it wasn't for Russian looting of Europe, including German rocket and aeroplane technology while retreating after WW2, the Russians would still be a bunch of shepherd hill-billies.
340  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Malaysia Airlines MH17 Crash: Boeing 777 Crashed in Ukraine Near Russian Border on: July 31, 2014, 01:31:39 PM
The western media is generally free to publish whatever they want. They will often restrain themselves to protect their reputation but legally can publish what they wish. The  Russian media in the other hand is controlled by the government and is not free to publish what they want.

And you base that assumption on what? How much Russia media to you read or are you just repeating what the Western mass media told you? Have you read numerous articles critical of the government and the policies? Are you still confusing USSR with Russia?

Have you heard this news from the Russian media?:
http://www.euronews.com/business-newswires/2618306-court-orders-russia-to-pay-50-billion-for-seizing-yukos-assets/

Are they free to publish that??

Russia and the former USSR are run by the same types of assholes. At least democracy requires goodwill and effort, sometimes "suspension of disbelief", which the Russians obviously cannot handle because they are too sad and cynical.
