321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dash a better alternative to Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2016, 11:55:11 AM
Here is something masternodes currently vote over :

http://dashvotetracker.com/

Together with the decentralised budget Dash has become a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation)
way before Euthereum ever created The DAO

link : http://bitcoinist.net/dash-original-dao/

Decentralised Budget voted by Centralised People who hold the instamine
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dash a better alternative to Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2016, 11:30:35 AM
You graph still does not show how many persons hold those masternodes and what kind of % they have... decentral does not only mean location.

And the first image shows that the coin is in the hand of Asic Miners... very decentral too
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Time to Fix Crypto ? on: June 19, 2016, 09:43:48 AM
Partly you are right... on the other hand you cannot see "currency" yourself... you rather blame the name of the coin or that it got plenty of topics... or someone got frauded and gets the victim...
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 18, 2016, 03:52:16 PM
It amazes me that people are still viewing the price in terms of fiat.... Why would you dream about "cashing out" big time to go back to such a broken currency such as the USD and other fiat? This currency allows us to never have to deal with fiat again and can be ensured it is secure and private.

Thing is as long as your merchant around the corner does not accept you monero payment people will have to use Fiat. Any CC that achieves this will be truely mass adopted.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 18, 2016, 03:42:40 PM
I wont get in till it hits 3 USD...not sure if it can make it there. This could dump back to 20 cents

20 cents is a bit overspeculating, we have not been there once ( i guess ) afaik the ATL was 25 cents
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero under 25 cents? What the hell are you waiting for? on: June 18, 2016, 10:45:19 AM
Monero at $0.24 and only $18k 24h overall volume,  are you folks insane?  Almost free.

Now that Bitcoin is plummeting back to $1 and below, this is the chance of a lifetime to get rich.  Anyone who isn't buying these up... thank me later for my suggestion. Buy Monero for 0.24$/XMR now and enjoy 500$+/XMR in Q1 2016.  Mark my words.  Monero is here to stay,  whilst Bitcoin's death is imminent.

I personally believe that Monero is the epitome of Shitcoin BUT had I read your advice I could have almost quadrupuled my BTC. I reckon, sometimes one has to listen to the oddish (the 500$+/XMR in Q1 2016 is delusional, yet ~4x really is not bad at all).

There are other coins that have much more to offer than 4X. Wink

Thing is most of these coins may offerer 4x ... but not the liquidity to get out your 4x Wink
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, which is better? Monero or Dash? on: June 10, 2016, 02:40:01 PM
Dash is more popular, but Monero have stable user base. In fact Dash is better then, because of popularity.  Wink

Price does not mean it is more popular !

Popular comes from lat.  Populus = the folks, say in that case with stable user base you mean it has the better popularity Wink

But to answer _nur's question... do not follow anything, always research for yourself as far as you can. Your own opinion is always the best opinion for yourself Wink

Back in top 10 Polo volume...

About time.

 Wink

Why should we celebrate a place with only one metric ( volume ) ? and even that metric is nothing compared to past days?

[honest reaction to unnecessarily dramatic Goodbye Cruel World self-pity party]

Sounding like an asshole proofs his points... can we atleast argue as adults?

As adults, we are obligated to give our friends a hard time when they do silly/obnoxious stuff like having Hearnias and making whiny rage quit posts.

You want me to treat him like a child and use soft, soothing tones to avoid melting his delicately beautiful snowflake crystals?

I give klee more credit than that, and assume he (a senior Bitcointalker) has skin thick enough to roll with some playful fisticuffs.

By white knighting for klee, you imply he lacks agency and thus treat him as your ward (IE, a child or invalid).

I never said you should talk soft with him, neither did i white knight him.

What i said was that YOU may talk like an adult or grown up person. This is a discussion forum not a hangout with your RL buddies who you can call names whenever you like.

Sophism lives in Monero community!

Socrates would be sad  Embarrassed Cry

I am out. Community sucks, with some bright exceptions.

Zcash will teach you a lesson I suppose.

For those interested (and I have many people in my team that like XMR) I still cover this coin because TA is TA.
If I see an opportunity in XMR I will advise everyone to buy.

Currently the guideline is to not touch this unless it gets ridiculously oversold (50-75k) because from TA PoV (performance, relative strength to ETH, LSK etc), liquidity, whale manipulation etc etc SUCKS!

Keep holding your bags as 'investors' lol

Why people feel so easily offended in this crypto sphere...

There are TA Experts, Dreamers&Believers, Idiots, TechAdvocats, Maximalists etc.., you will never find a community that solely exists of realists.

I Agree Whale Manipulation sucks... but where is the difference to ETH and LSK outside of the TA PoV? ... ain´t putting out the media hype ETH and LSK have + ICO Style Liquidity ( before sth even was delivered! ) are some kind of whale manipulation too, because those people got the networks to create the buzz?

And i am sure Zcash will teach us a lesson, because they got the same kind of buzz too, since years even though nothing was delivered there yet.

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many profitable ICO ventures are ahead of us? on: June 02, 2016, 09:35:51 PM
Let's be honest. Sooner or later, this is going to come to an end. Profits don't appear out of thin air, and in a bullish BTC market, it's becoming harder and harder to profit off of altcoins. I'm hoping WAVES will be profitable, I threw some BTC in there. I also have some coin in Elastic, but I'm not sure I'll even recover that initial investment. Certainly do not think Rise or Wings will do anything good for its investors

all are scam and the fear of missing out from lisk so their only option is to throw money at the scammers
all are just copy/paste getting rich quick ico scam

both right.  reminds me of the first ico runs we had over a year ago for all the different bullshit hype phase coins.  colours, weed, anon tech, etc. and now it's plat/plat shit like eth related from these same (or connected "devs") who work from eastern europe (mostly) to get big ico names/hype/shills and bit btc influx with NO reason for it.

you forgot ... forks and algos , PoS  before colour ....

but i would put anon tech out of that formula... yay it was used as hype cycle ... but real anon is part of the thing "crypto" stands for
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 31, 2016, 06:17:39 PM
GUI progress ?

Soon as always.

In my opinion, at some point we need a sub thread on how long is the patience of a Monero bagholder for the empty word "soon".
I think you are exactly the very right person to start that thread and discussion with the trolls.

Get lost please... your logic is so flawed and for everyone clear to see... if "soon" is an empty word for you why should you stay a bagholder, you are free to leave... the Dev Team does not owe us a thing, so if you don´t agree with their way of doing things... either sell your bag, fork it away and do better or just be silent.

Hallo.

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Freedom of speech in the DASH camp much? on: May 27, 2016, 10:29:27 AM
What bothers me ... Dash claims to have made the StackExchange proposal first so it sounds like it was their idea....

For all the readers that did not now ---> https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/486s2e/monero_stack_exchange_we_need_60_followers_and_40/ ...

That one is over 2 month old, so who follows who´s footsteps

Does it really matter son? Plenty of space in crypto for all.

What a great time to be alive, what a great time to witness invocation and disruptive technology.

You and your greedy masters Risto and Smooth should focus on developing your coin instead of running down all around you.

But you can't can you?

So......

FU  Grin

Sure it does matter ... rivalry does not come from nothing. Claims like that is the reason why we are in the back and forth we have now... but don´t worry... looks like the Lisk vs Eth camps will put us on the side with their fights...

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 26, 2016, 06:16:24 PM

The FUD is reaching epic levels.  There is so much nonsense spackle about the '12 exploits' but I am quite sure none of them exist.  Think about it - if you had an exploit which allowed you to reveal Dash transactions, generate Dash, double-spend Dash, or even defeat the private key encryption... what would you do?  Troll the Dash board with claims of existence?

No, if you were white hat you would arrange for a dev to get secure hold of these (possibly for a bounty).  If you were black hat, you would just use them already and take whatever info / coins you could get your hands on.

or.....

he is not into black hat business, and he doesnt want to help monero dev either.   Cool

so that is why in his own words he did the first exploit ... but now he ain´t in the same business he claims? Pls provide deeper thoughts next time
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR MONERO'S NEW FEATURE: Zeroday 12 Exploits! on: May 26, 2016, 09:19:08 AM

So given exploits have been known for a while, I wouldn't test John Connor if I were you guys.

It would suck to be wrong, again.

~BCX~

Why not ... monero is still small and in the case of 0,001% that he has some exploit wouldn´t it be in our favour if he exploited it now? The earlier the better... on the other hand time is ticking against john, if there is such a thing as an exploit day by day passing it may be found... so bring it on
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Monero run an ICO? on: May 25, 2016, 08:52:21 AM
Lol look at the vote. Cheesy This forum sees through your shenanigans and antics that's probably why your coin is dying. I would be very wary of owning monero at this point. Just look at the blatant complete disregard at the vulnerabilities found. No one wants to be part of that. For anyone who is, good luck with your sinking ship with capt. Risto at the helm.

To keep you on your vcash sockpuppet words ...

Yours truly master john-connor DID NOT EVEN NAME ONE VULNERABILITY!!!
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Monero run an ICO? on: May 25, 2016, 07:12:34 AM

Yes it has ZeroDay Vulnerabilities dating back to the Bytecoin fork that still remain. Lastly, it cannot scale, either they drop the ring signatures or their botnet will be mining by itself. Cool

Oh man, ZeroDay and they're using ring sigs? Why, that's just plain stupid especially if they've known about it for two years.

How did they find this out?

~BCX~
I discovered 13 ZeroDay's in Monero source code and exploited the v2 block bug that split the network consensus. The remaining 12 I'm keeping in my back pocket so next time they piss me off again or attempt a DoS. Wink

I think I'm going to steer clear of this given the devs have known about fatal flaws for two years and have done nothing to fix it.

Thanks for the info.

~BCX~

I thought you can read... john said "I" discovered ... never in his post was something about and "i told". John did not proof a thing yet, besides he can refactor btc code and claims it as his own code.
