321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 17, 2022, 09:26:15 PM
oha oha !  what has become of borussia dortmund. a big championship favourite before the season . and today you see dortmund in 8th place with only 16 points.
7 points behind union berlin. and when you see that dortmund has more goals against than they have scored themselves ( 13 : 14 ) .
the team with the worst goal difference in the upper ranks . a lot of things have to get better...no..even much better .
let's see what happens with dortmund in the next few weeks.
next weekend dortmund plays at home against stuttgart. they have to win. otherwise it will be really difficult to continue playing for the german championship.
Haaland's absence from Dortmund's team this season has been very felt by the club. Taking a closer look at their stats, you can see that they have only managed to score 13 goals in 10 games which clearly demonstrates how poor their goal-to-game ratio is. They have a match against Stuttgart on Saturday. I believe this is a terrific opportunity for them to get some points that will help them in the long run. Stuttgart has not been playing well this season, and Dortmund should take advantage of Stuttgart's poor form in the coming weeks.

Bayern Munich have once again shown that they are a great team ready to reclaim the Bundesliga title this season. Freiburg is a tough opponent but they were able to crush Freiburg with a very landslide score. I'm not wrong about those who doubted it a lot after getting unsatisfactory results a while ago. But today they showed that at the time it was luck not on their side. Bayern Munich are getting closer to Union Berlin, and I believe they will soon take over where they belong.
I never thought that Bayern Munich could crush Freiburg with a landslide score of 5-0. Munich performances were very strong, Freiburg, who had been outstanding since the start of the season, looked like a small team against Munich. Now that Munich is in second place, Julian Nagelsmann must be able to reclaim the first position from Union Berlin, Munich is only four points adrift of Union Berlin, they need time to take back the throne they lost some time ago.
I never thought that Bayern would be able to win against Freiburg with such a big margin after Lewandowski left. The three forwards, Sane, Mane, and Gnabry, all had a really great game as well. The rhythm that Mane lost at Liverpool recently has returned to him. It took him some time to adjust to his new position as a striker with Bayern. However, I think they have found their chemistry, and I'm sure they will give Union Berlin a tough fight for the Bundesliga title.

I hope Ireland wins in this one. I placed a bet, totally blindly, not knowing the rules or anything, 5 days ago

and I was right about the first game, but now I feel like I need a lot of good luck to be right about the second one. Smiley

Watching it LIVE here at the moment

but without knowing the laws of cricket it's not much of a show, tbh.

Congratulations man, you did it. Actually, Group Stage is kinda hard to predict.

Thank you for the link, It was a really successful match for Zimbabwe. They have performed really well, especially since Sikandar Raza was the person to get Zimbabwe the win. His 82 runs from 48 balls were utterly devastating for the opponent. And Ireland was unable to recover from that beating of Sikandar Raza.

The target was very high, and Ireland did well to get even close to that. But in the end, the difference was really too big. Ireland actually needed someone to play an innings like Sikandar Raza. But no one could do that. And they also needed to score a lot faster to keep up with the required run rate. That also didn't happen.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: October 17, 2022, 02:50:27 PM
Lately it seems that Pi network is growing day by day.  Who can touch Bitcoin on the Pi network?  Many say that the Pi Network will overtake Bitcoin.  I had a bit of a laugh when I heard about the Bitcoin leak.  Bitcoin is the number one coin in cryptocurrency.  I don't think comparing any coin to Bitcoin is anything but silly.  But what is your opinion?  If anyone has an idea about pi network, please let me know.

It's a scam coin, even Pi is worse than a shitcoin in our market. If I remember correctly, Pi has been in development for more than 5 years and until now it has not been traded on any exchange, not even a junk exchange. It's worse than meme coin because meme has trading volume, and for Pi, it's nothing but the illusion of pi fans. It can't even compare to meme, never compare it to bitcoin, there is no such thing as a free lunch, be careful with Pi or you will regret it.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: 23 Countries Now Abandoning US Dollar on: October 17, 2022, 02:39:16 PM
A new world monetary system is being set up right now which will completely kill the US dollar, which is the world's reserve currency.

23 countries (60% of the world's GDP) are setting up swap lines which bypass the dollar and SWIFT, which is the dollar-based worldwide financial transaction system.

If the countries abandon the US dollar, establish a new currency, what will be the impact on the US dollar?

It seems pretty interesting, but Practically, it would be impossible to replace the USD at once.
It all depends upon the acceptability and adaptability of the new currency they are willing to trade.
Also, the Bretton Woods system would make it more difficult to abandon US Dollar for the sake of ultimately killing the US Dollar.

I also like this idea, as far as I know there are currently a number of coalition countries led by China and Russia trying to create a world currency to replace the dollar. The idea is not new but so far no new coin has been able to break the USD dominance. This looks unlikely for the foreseeable future, possibly decades before we see a new currency empire displacing the USD. Just by looking at the DXY chart we can see how strong USD is during this crisis period, it can be said that USD is becoming the strongest asset in this crisis.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: October 17, 2022, 02:13:07 PM

The real question is why isn't Ukraine buying arms from Iran and instead insist of receiving garbage from US? Of course the answer is clear: in the proxy war between US and Russia, US needs to control the arms that Ukraine receives in order to be able to prolong the war. In other words Ukraine is not allowed to purchase anything decent.

LOL.. Ukraine buying drones from Iran (although it is a very unrealistic scenario) will infuriate Turkey much more than it would irritate the United States. On the UAV- sector, it is a direct battle between the Bayraktar drones from Turkey and the Shahed drones from Iran. And so far the latter has prevailed over the Turkish counterparts. Given the strained relations between Turkey and Iran, I don't expect Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to sit quietly. He may create some sort of provocation against Iran, especially in Syria.

Today Russia continues to use UAVs to attack the Ukrainian city of Kyiv, the President of Ukraine accused these UAVs of being Iran, but Iran has denied the above allegation, in addition, I also know that the EU is investigating who is the supplier of UAV to Russia. Do you have any information on this case? It seems that Russia is using UAVs quite effectively in air raids after being repelled on several battlefields.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 16, 2022, 10:44:19 PM
As long as shitcoin can generate hype, can generate big profits in short time, its era will never go away, shitcoins always come back and get more crowded every time the bull season comes. Although shitcoins causes many problems related to scams or investor losses, it also creates hype, generating attention for the crypto market. Thanks to the hype of shiba last year, the market has also attracted the interest of many new investors from other markets, this is also the other side of shitcoins.

This is an open and unregulated market so obviously shitcoins will continue to exist and shitcoins are now part of the market, it brings diversity to the market.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2022, 09:22:07 PM
This is my guess and it is based on the subtle wording that Guardiola gives in interviews when asked about the future.
As for dominance in the Premier League, for us ordinary fans it looks like a cool achievement, but the sheikhs are ambitious guys. They created literally the most expensive club in the world but have not been able to get the main trophy for so many years. Do you really think that their patience is endless?
It seems to me that they do not care about statuses, reputation, etc. the most important thing is the result, at the moment it is not there and if it is not after the purchase of Haaland, then Guardiola will be fired.
Yeah it gonna end at one point but they also have to get a better one that Guardiola.  Guardiola might not be helping them win CL but he is atleast getting them fair chances in other competitions and winning most of them. I think the board feels like they have gotten a great manager and he is gonna win them CL at one point and I think so too.  They might be unlucky right now but with the way they are signing players and making their team strong, I think they are gonna get CL at some point if things goes like this.

After today's match between Manchester City VS Liverpool, I think Guardiola will seriously ponder his tactics. I agree that this was not his fault. João Cancelo made a big mistake and Mohammed Salah took advantage of that. But I really thought this match should have been a City win.

Now I think there might be a serious discussion about the job of Guardiola as Manchester City coach. I really do not think Manchester City is actually bringing the type of result that they should be bringing. I know a lot of people are tempted to say that Manchester City actually scored in this match. But that was ruled out by VAR. Yes, I know but that is a legit foul. Anyway, I think Manchester City needs to perform better.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 16, 2022, 04:24:10 PM
For sure Green has heard about it and could be working for his own contract extension, a max if he can. But then again in the recent days we have seen what he had done not just to Jordan Poole but to the rest of the guys in the team. He might be feeling shit right now after hearing both Poole and Wiggins have sign for a huge contract. So we might as well see Green in other teams. We've seen others speculated that he will play with Lebron at Lakers but we will see.
There is absolutely no way that Draymond Green would get a max contract, I am not sure if the owners even wanted to pay him that much, but with this move I am sure that they will have an excuse to just say that they do not want to pay him that much because he is a player that causes trouble in the team.
I am not saying he is going to get a veteran minimum, because it may not be that low, all because of he won so many rings with them and he was part of a great group, but just because he was good back then, you can't give him a max contract, that would be too wild. Just imagine having curry+klay+poole+wiggins already, that's good enough, so green has to take more like 20-25 million at most, that's good enough for him.
Agreed he is on the wrong side of a max contract.  He isn't getting better and will be on the decline shortly.  I know you have to overpay sometimes but giving him a max contract would choke out any flexibility gs would have for the next 4 years

I really do not think that the owners will be willing to give him that much money. It is not an exaggeration to say that he is a troublemaker, it is the truth to say that he is one. Due to the fact that he is a troublemaker, I think they will not be making any mistakes if they do not give him a max contract.

In addition, I think he is also aware of the fact that he is not a necessity in the team at the moment. After his little "punching stunt", a lot of teams are not going to want to take him on as well if they wish to trade him. There is no way I think they are going to trade him in the first place. All I want to say is I agree with @sana54210 that he is not getting a max contract.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 16, 2022, 05:48:02 AM
Is $300k too high a target for the next bull season? The reality is that everyone is just trying to talk about the $100k goal before we hit the higher one, the fact that bitcoin is going to rise again is certain, but when exactly it will happen we do not know. With inflation still at its current high, I think bitcoin will fall further and $15k is possible but it will happen next year when the Fed raises interest rates to the highest they have planned.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse is the future on: October 16, 2022, 05:31:29 AM
even though the recent news revolving around metaverse seems to gives us the impression that metaverse is failing and being left out by the majority doesn't mean it could recover back its fame once there's some revolutionary metaverse project coming out, it could very well become big thing with proper development, unfortunately, even meta as a company is failing in creating their metaverse.

Metaverse projects are on the verge of collapse, recently it was reported that the Mana project was valued at $ 1 billion last year and currently has only a few hundred players showing that the metaverse is slowly declining. Facebook's parent company is also said to be stepping up investment in meta but so far has not achieved significant results, the leaked images online are said to be too ugly. Looks like there's too much bad news with the metaverse. I wouldn't call it a failure since we're still in bear season so I can't confirm anything, it can be seen that most areas are equally bad, but investing in metaverse projects should also stop, do not rush to invest immediately.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 15, 2022, 01:59:59 PM
It depends on which job it is,

Working on exchange is a long term project since mostly it's survive for long time, although hack is inevitable on centralized exchange.

It is also not a permanent job, it depends on which exchange you will be working with. It can be seen that, during this bear season, most exchanges have reduced revenue due to low volume, which can mean traders leaving the market. As far as I know, only binance and FTX are active exchanges right in this bear and they are trying to expand the market, the rest mostly cut employees because of losses like coinbase or most recently, houbi also sold themselves to other companies.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io 🏏 Men's T20 World Cup 2022 🏏 Discussion thread on: October 14, 2022, 05:47:39 PM
OK here’s my slip, I had to go with England.

I feel like England are a really good 20 overs team. The mentality needed to excel at T20 is different to test cricket. Obviously Australia are the team to best, Steve will tell you that Grin

The spirit of 2010 is going to rise though & England will be crowned champions, just wait & see Wink

England can sometimes show some surprises, but I think Australia and New Zealand are much better heading into this T20 world cup. As I look at the recent T20 series between Australia and England, I suddenly have to change my mind because England played great. That makes me think England could also win the T20 world cup Smiley.

But whatever, I can't stand against Steve ... lol

So, my slip Grin:

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next meme coin to buy in 2022 on: October 14, 2022, 02:12:47 PM
If it comes to memes, there are really only 2 coins worth investing in: doge and shiba, the rest is like a giant dump of the market, investing in them is no different than we are throwing our money in the dumped garbage. Just like other coins, each coin has a suitable period to invest. For bitcoin and top coins, the bearish season is the time to invest because they are utility coins so the possibility of recovery is high, just buy low and wait for the market to recover but with meme, there is no utility other than hype, so buying in the bull season will be more appropriate.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the future of bitcoin - What are you worried about? on: October 14, 2022, 01:57:30 PM

About the first point: I assume that there is a risk of failure on this currency given that bitcoin is still beta software. I don't know if my concern about that is unreasonable or not, but there are certainly risks I can think of.

About the second point: It is possible that there was no transaction volume in bitcoin's first 20 years. However I wouldn't worry too much about that because up to now the volume of bitcoin has been huge and bitcoin has dominated the market for a long time.

Then, what do you think about the two points above.

First point: if bitcoin is only a beta software, that means it is in the development and testing stage and bitcoin has been tested for the past 12 years without any problems so it can be said that it has become the official version. At the software level, it is already official and safe to use but when it comes to investment, any investment is risky, even stocks or gold are risky so invest within our means. This is common advice in finance and is not specific to bitcoin.

Second point: With what's going on, this is really nothing to worry about anymore, things are getting bigger and bigger than we thought.

Arsenal acca, what could go wrong   Smiley

Lol... what a decent bet Shocked!!

Bodø/Glimt had some really good chances to get on the scoreboard but they failed to convert those. Arsenal also missed some chances. The goal that Saka scored was a lucky one for Arsenal. So no matter how the match turned out, you would have won Cheesy.

Black Caps
Yeah, New Zealand is a viable contender for the T20 WC title, this time.

It's not going to happen for England, even the English players know that. The Indians haven't been playing well lately, especially the Indian batting order, so I don't trust them to win this time. My guess is that Australia will be New Zealand's biggest competitor. New Zealand and Australia might be the finalists.

Good Luck, seems your 1 will be turned to ~11 shortly

336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 14, 2022, 01:03:30 AM
Union Berlin will obviously have to win this match against Dortmund. Unless they do so, they are at risk of losing the first place on the table.

Now my prediction is that Bayern Munich is likely to win against Freiburg and Union Berlin is almost certain to lose against Dortmund.
The result will put Bayern Munich in second place and Dortmund in third. But Union Berlin is still expected to be at the top.
The difference is going to be that they will face a lot more competition and pressure from both Bayern Munich and Dortmund.

But if Freiburg wins the match against Bayern Munich, they will take over the lead(1st place) if Union Berlin loses Roll Eyes.

These are going to be the most significant two matches for all four teams in my opinion.
Wow, top clubs are fighting each other in week 10, Bayern Munich vs Freiburg and Union Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund. The results of these two matches greatly affect the position in the top four list, the match against Freiburg is very important to be won by Munich because this is a good moment for them to climb up to second place, while Bayern Munich hopes that the other Big Match match Union Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund gets a draw so that their distance with Union Berlin to be 2 points.
I like how nothing is certain in this league after quite a long time. For a very long period of time, Bayern Munich has been the one to win the league title season after season. But it feels like there will finally be some competition. There is one thing that surprises me about this competition, which is that it comes in the form of Union Berlin.

snip
After that loss to Frankturf, I now doubt if Union Berlin will be a dominant team against Dortmund or if they are lucky yet again in winning against Dortmund that will be great because Dortmund is now having a great time with their matches and now they are improving even without Erling Halland, or Sebastien Haller,
Yeah now that Bayern Munich's formation are all switched and good Sadio Mane is performing well, and every player had their chance now to gazing the goal, for me their are the favorite to win and the odds are back again to Bayern Munich,
I agree that the odds are in favor of Bayern Munich once again. This season, however, they have been somewhat inconsistent in their performance. Therefore, I think it would not be a wise idea to make a prediction about whether Bayern Munich is going to win the next match. Although Bayern Munich seems to be the team that will have the advantage in the next match against Freiburg, that does not necessarily mean that they are.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to investigate and research new projects ? on: October 13, 2022, 02:27:10 PM
In this situation, we are supposed to be more practical in choosing coins to invest with and hold. Keeping new projects is totally risky and we are not even sure they will survive this bear market. But as we are buying the leading coins in the market, it is pretty to have the assurance that this will grow and recover after this bear season. And the good thing is that we no longer spend and waste time digging for legit projects (new) and not even sure if this will give us a passive income or end up scamming.
bear markets provide many opportunities so there is no need to research too deep for a new project or just choose altcoins that are already trusted. Maintaining a new project will indeed provide a big risk until it is useless and becomes waste, but I have also said that only use a little money for the allocation of new projects, because if the project is successful then we will benefit many times over, but if it only becomes garbage Of course it's a risk that must be accepted.

Investing in new projects is not a bad thing but we are in a bear market so it is not advisable. Everyone knows that the bear market full of scam projects will disappear so no one wants to invest in new projects but majority will focus on top coins to reduce risk, so if investing in new projects at this time, the possibility of loss is more than profit.

The project that OP took as an example: it can be said that it is a 100% scam project with an APY up to 4000%, projects like this are trying to hit people's greed to cheat so stay away from these projects like this.
338  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: October 13, 2022, 02:05:31 PM
I'm still watching their country and what Nayib Bukele is doing with his plan, really we shouldn't be too hasty in declaring them failed. They like us are in bear season, so the price drop is inevitable. As long as we don't sell bitcoin that means we have nothing to lose and neither does El Salvador. They have never sold any of their bitcoins so there is no way they fail or lose their bitcoin investment.
One of his latest statements about his country's bitcoin situation, everything is still under his control.

339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 13, 2022, 11:55:28 AM
You are yourself very much confusing OP.
At first you talked about the private keys, and then you asking about keeping hardware wallet.
My first doubt is that, why you don’t have confidence on yourself and your family members and keep the wallet at your home securely?
Moreover I would hardly advise you to avoid keeping the trezor wallet in a bank locker, I don’t want to say more about this, but yes it would be best to avoid keeping the wallet away from you.
You can think of keeping the private keys in a bank locker, but make sure no one notices about that.

I agree with your thoughts, I don't understand why many people trust banks when they can't trust themselves and their families. We always say don't save money in the bank, don't put too much money in the bank because the bank can freeze our assets, not our keys not our money...blah ..blah, then we put all our crypto assets in the bank. I will never let my private keys out of sight and my family will be the place I put my trust more than the bank in this case.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 12, 2022, 08:50:59 PM
Anything can happen in this el clasico, because we know that both teams have some problems with their players. The last one is Rudiger who had a problem during the game a few hours ago. I don't know much about Rudiger's injury, which was bleeding. Can he play in El Clasico or not? Because if he is absent it will be a loss for Real Madrid to lose a strong defender. Likewise with Barcelona who lost several players because of the same thing.
Ahead of the El Clasico match, it is true that both teams may still be missing several players due to injury. I don't think it's going to be the most basic issue of why we should be worried, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have some decent substitutes to play for.

But I want to focus a little on Barcelona's match against Inter today, obviously there will be a lot of expectations on Barcelona's shoulders because they have to get 3 points at the end of the match. If Barcelona lose this match, then I think in El Clasico things will be very different for them.

The El Clasico is going to be a highly competitive and highly anticipated match in La Liga. I believe that both teams are determined to try their hardest to win this match as well. Neither of these teams is flawless at this moment. They obviously have some problems. If we look at the statistics of this season we will see that Real Madrid has conceded a lot more than Barcelona. But Barcelona is also not doing very well in attacking.

Barcelona Vs Inter

Looks like Barcelona is going to be knocked out of the Champions League from the group stage. At the moment, Barcelona is playing against Inter in the Champions League. 80 minutes have been played and Barcelona is behind. The score is 2-1 in favor of Inter.

Update - as I was writing this post Barcelona just scored and made it level. The score is now 2-2. 85 minutes have been played and Barcelona really need to score another one to make sure they win this match
