Very impressive match between Madrid vs Chelsea, both played very well, especially Chelsea thats make Madrid must be played all out. At first, I thought Madrid would qualify easily, it turned out that my prediction was wrong, fortunately Ancelotti's experience and the Madrid players gave positive results even though they lost this match, but the 2 goals they scored were enough to beat Chelsea 5 - 4 on aggregate.
It's a very good match for Chelsea and they almost successfully destroyed Real Madrid. The rejected goal of Marcos Alonso is not enough to stop them and they did score another third goal to equalize the aggregated result. However, Real Madrid did not give up and the trivela key pass of Modric help them to bring the match to beyond 90 minutes. Benzema again shows his leadership by a decisive goal for his club. It was really heartbreaking for Chelsea in my opinion. I really thought they could have a chance if they went ahead early in this match but they actually had ended up with a lead even in the aggregate score but they blew it. And after all the only thing I am thinking right now is how many times Karim Benzema is going to come forward and be the savior of Real Madrid. Anyway a good show all around. |

It was a devastating derby performances from both teams. Fenerbahce managed to get two goals and got three points but the quality of the game was so poor. In the past, there were games like this that both teams were not in the championship race anymore, but I don't remember this much of a poor game. The quality of their players is so mediocre. No wonder some Anatolian teams performed much better than them this season. Compare to the money they spent on their rosters, this game was not better than an important game between Anatolian teams. Nevertheless, Fenerbahce being in the second spot in the league and ahead of Konyaspor, is quite unexpected if we think about how they were 10 weeks before. It was a horrible day for Nice. They had an away game against Lens. It was going to be really difficult maybe but I thought that they would still fight hard. But even though Lens got an early red card, they still got ahead by 2-0. And the game ended by 3-0 too. We saw three cards in this game and two of them belonged to Nice. This loss made things bad for Nice. Strasbourg were almost winning but missed it by a close call. However they are still one point ahead of Nice.
It was absolutely a bad day for Nice. It was expected to be different but I think no one thought this is going to be so bad. Nice did not play well at all and the two red cards also obviously did not help them. Lens played really well in that match and I was actually really amazed by the Goals scored by the Lens players. Only 5 points behind 1st place - Man of the day is Vlahovic. Juventus Turin didn't play well against Cagliari, but it was enough for 3 points. It doesn't look good, to be honest. But Chelsea certainly cannot lose hope because it doesn't matter how wide the margin is or how impossible it looks, I think they always have a chance if they can play at their level best. But it really doesn't look good because the match is going to be played in Santiago Bernabéu in the second leg and ideally don't expect Real Madrid to lose in their home ground. |
